Is this bat approved for Little League Baseball for T-Ball? Dad
The COMBAT Portent T-Ball: PORTB1 Tee Ball Bat should be approved for a Little League Tee Ball division. It features the new USSSA BPF 1.15 performance certification and a 2 1/4" barrel diameter. However, your particular region may have an issue with composite bats in general. Checking with a league director is the best way to know what bats are approved.

This COMBAT Portent T-Ball: (PORTB1) is a Tee Ball Bat that really isn't made to hit a pitched ball. Even one that is coming in at the low speeds that Coach Pitch sees. For better durability, I would consider a "Youth" bat on our website. Those bats have the same 2 1/4" barrel diameter and would hold up better to a pitched ball. This Portent is lighter and shorter than most Youth models, but it just might not hold up well in a Coach Pitch league.

Is this bat OK for use with a pitching machine? My son is 4 years old and plays in a PONY Shetland division all star league. I see that Tee ball is not written on the bat, which was one requirement, and it has the 1.15 stamp. Officially it is a tee ball bat correct? Lanceg18
The COMBAT Portent T-Ball (PORTB1) would not be rated to face any type of pitch speed so use with a pitching machine would be harmful to the bat and it would almost certainly break. It is an official tee ball bat that would only be rated for that style of play.

As long as the balls are not being thrown to the hitters and the hitters are only hitting off a tee, this COMBAT Portent Tee Ball Bat (PORTB1) should hold up just fine for use in the tee ball league.

No. The COMBAT Portent Tee Ball Bat (PORTB1) is a tee ball bat which is intended to hit a stationary ball on a tee. Any type of pitch velocity can cause damage to the bat.

(1) COMBAT models like this COMBAT Portent Tee Ball Bat (PORTB1) could be considered continuation models of the B2 from COMBAT. Both bats were single-piece, all-composite bats with balanced swing weights. (2) Although this bat is really only meant to hit stationary balls off a tee, I think that it could work with squishy safety ball.
