Gaucho
Pros: I bought the 27" bat for my son. He's a smaller 7 year old, but a good player and a switch hitter. This is a great bat for him. A lot of kids his size swing the Reflex bc of the light weight, and that's fine. He still swing the Reflex LH. Although the Pure Gear is heavier, it's evenly balanced like all Combats. Definitely has more "pop" than any bat this size. I imagine the larger bats have a much larger sweet spot. My older son has the B3 Gear. It's just like all Combats - balanced, strong, and the paint chips after moderate use (prob bc of the composite material). If your kid plays A LOT of baseball (All-Stars, Travel) it's worth it.
Cons: The white grip is a really bad idea, but whatever. Just shows that he uses it.
WI Slugger
Pros: Great bat with power. Ball explodes off bat with large sweet spot. Best bat on the market.
Cons: No cons yet.........Playing best baseball of the season.

Pros: My son has been doing great with this bat. I was hesitant at first to spend this much on a bat, but its worth every penny.
Cons:
Steve M
Pros: Bat has great pop, my son is a line drive hitter easily added 15 to 20 foot over the S1 he was using. I see it going over the wall in the near future.
Cons: White handle gets dirty easily, and will chip.

Cons: NONE!!!

Pros: Got this for my 11 year old son for Xmas. He loves this bat. The balanced weighting is noticeable to him. He has been crushing the ball during his winter hitting clinics. Great bat!
Cons: None.
dustin
Pros: great at first
Cons: broken and loose inside. second combat we had had. and they both broke. now they shipped with no warranty stamped on it. thanx combat
Dad/coach
Pros: My son has the -12 and wish we bought the -10. The -10 has 2" more 2 1/4" barrel for a longer sweet spot. The ball comes of the bat quickley but seams to travel less. It's been great for line drives but not distance. The bat does not hurt the hands like metal bats.
Cons: The paint is chipping off and Combat has a 2 month turn-around to replace the bat. The bat still works ok but shocked to see this happen so quickly. The white grip does get dirty but not a big deal.

Pros:
Cons: If you don't hit the sweet spot, the bat vibrates badly. You can tap the end of the bat with your finger tips and feel the vibration through the handle. Not good.
Poppa
Pros: My son is 12 and is realy impressed with this stick. His 1st time out with it he hit the fence, 2nd time he hit a line drive single, the third time up he jacked it over the center field fence! WOW! What a great bat! This was all in 1 game!
Cons: The line drive on the 2nd hit was on the end of the bat and he said that it stung his hands, but I believe that is with most bats!
awesomepop john coach

Pros: Bat has a lot of pop. Very balanced for 7 year old. Had the bat for a year and it has maintained it's pop.
Cons: Grip diameter too large for young players so I recommend re-gripping with tennis racket grip.

Cons: none
Very pleased Ringer parent
Pros: Big sweet spot and tons of pop. Even holds up to yellow pitching machine balls.
Cons: Wicked vibration if hit off the end of the bat or up the handle, but it's composite and to be expected. Heavier than stated weight..29/17 actually weight just over 18oz.

Is the -12 correct? Does the 30/18 actually weigh 18 ounces or is it heavier? I know that the B3 Gear Retrofits are heavier than listed. My son's 29/17 weighs almost 19 ounces.
