Description

The D-BAT SBSP model Softball Bat is offered in lengths of 33" and 34" with a length to weight ratio between -6 to -8 depending on the length of the bat. The SBSP's tapered barrel ensures maximum barrel length with out the "Heaviness" of a traditional softball bat. The design of this bat places most of the weight in the middle of the bat to produce unbelievable balance, greater stability, as well as added bat speed through the hitting zone. This is truly a one of a kind bat for the serious softball player. Birch bats are made of a hard hitting wood that does not flake like ash. Birch is stronger than ash and is more flexible and lighter than maple. Free Shipping!

im 5'7 tall im wondering if i need 33' or 34' ?? norbs north
Most non-wood slowpitch bat are 34 inches in length and I don't think you'll have a problem with a 34 inch wood slow pitch bat. However, at 5'7", a 33 inch bat may be a good option.
TJ
what is the differance between wood used in bats? snodevil
Just like there are different types of trees, there are different types of wood used in bat. The most common and most popular are maple and ash. Maple is a little harder and will be heavier than ash. Ash is a little softer. Maple may be a little more durable. Ash makes the ball feel a little softer at impact. Birch is between Ash and Maple in my opinion. It is pretty hard (not quite as hard as maple though) and is lighter in weight than maple.
Tyler
When it says "weight ratio between -6 to -8 depending on the length of the bat" Which weight drop goes with which length? JR
Actually, every length SBSP bat has an approximate -6 to -8 length to weight ratio. This will not vary by size.
Tyler

About the Brand

D-BAT offers Franchise Training Facilities plus a full line of products including Wood bats, Gloves, Batting Gloves and Baseball and Softball Accessories…and more!

Their main goal was to provide a quality teaching environment with professional instruction to enhance the baseball and softball experience for players at all levels and help them reach their goals.

In setting forth on the journey to accomplish this vision, D-BAT opened its original location in a small facility in North Dallas with 6 employees – D-BAT believed that the best way to teach the game was by getting into the details of baseball and softball with each and every player and instructing them as individuals. D-BAT has as a core belief that every player plays a different game and should be taught to maximize his or her talents to suit his or her game. We also wanted to create a new type of baseball academy where there are multiple ways for a player to improve beyond the typical baseball training facility. D-BAT Academies feature an exceptionally well-lit, indoor climate-controlled facility, with an environment that invites parents to be a part of their ballplayer’s development along with a top-notch pro shop to provide all your equipment needs.

D-BAT began franchising operations in 2008 and today is the largest network of training facilities in the country.
