Pros: awesome pop even for little guys on the team and the big guys just crush it
Cons: Nothing what so EVER
Pros: We just got this bat today and took it our for BP. I have to say I was quite alarmed at just how much the ball flew of the barrel right out of the wrapper. My son is a 10 year old, big lefty, and we got a 30/20 for him and he was easily covering all of the plate with authority. It was a massive confidence booster instantly. The flex in the handle was also very impressive! It allowed for great trampoline and pop, all while hitting the ball all over the field. He also had little to no "bee's" in his hands from inside pitches. The barrel is perfect sized and sounds fantastic. This composite bat is a BEAST and is a great transtion bat for the kid pitch bats as the grow older and get bigger.
Cons: The bat was pricey, but after reading my comments above, I swear it's worth every penny. Let's just hope it's durable becuase we want to have it for a LONG time!
Pros: i tried it for my first time in a scrimage and i was hitting bombs represent redwoodcity

Cons: None
Pros: awwwwesome!
Cons: none
Pros: good bat
Cons: my son cracked the cf 4 after a triple. We got him a new cf 5
Pros: Awesome Pop No Sting Super Light Good Grip
Cons: None yet.....
Pros: Fresh out the wrapper hit 13 homeruns out of 24 balls better than the 2012 cf5
Cons: scratches easy but other than than it is a great bat to own
Pros: I thought being a composite bat, it would need to get broken in. My 13 year old son hit his first double of season in his first game with this bat. Bat has had a tremendous effect on his hitting to this point. Expensive? Yes, but to this point has been worth it. Need to see how long this bat can hold up. If your in the market for a great bat that feels light and has great pop with no break in period needed, then this is the one hands down.
Cons: None yet. Have not owned long enough to test durability.
Pros: the bat looks very cool.it is great out of the wrapper until the end of the year.i got the bat in two days.the pop is great.i got a 30/20 it feels like 18oz.

Cons: Why Put cons there are NONE!!!!!!!
Pros: I GO PITCH TO MY SON WITH THIS BAT AND HE HIT 17 HOMERS OUT OF 30 BALLS HES 11
Cons: NONE AT ALL
Pros: (This is my first night using it) Nice Grip, Very light, Very balanced, Big sweetspot, Nice trampoline effect.(You can feel it) I hit the ball alot more than I usually do with the 2013 CF5. This bat feels more like a part of you than just a piece of metal hitting a ball. I have a -10, 31in. 21oz. Its light so I can bring the bat through the zone alot faster and I even have to wait back on faster pitches that I would have had to swing alot earlier before.
Cons: (This is my first night using it) Not a lot of pop, Hard to break in, doesn't feel right a first. Throughout the practice, I kept say," I don't know if I like this bat or not." From other reviews, I expected to hit the ball hard, and hit the ball hard. Pitches that I hit on the perfect sweet spot did go as far as I thought they would. They may have gone farther with another bat. When I pulled the ball, it felt great, AND went far! I think I would have to use this bat more to like it.
Pros: Great bat,has great pop from the start. I would recommend this bat for anyone who is looking for a great bat
Cons: A bit on the high side
Pros: Bat weight distributed evenly
Cons:
Pros: My son tried the new VEXUUM and it stung his hands bad. We got this bat no sting and it had MAJOR POP even on a lazy swing.
Cons: Price, but it is WELL worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons: to heavy for me coach is making me bunt sometimes
Pros: very nice pop, feels very light, the sweet spot is HUGE,good grip, and does not hurt your hands if you jam a pitch.

Cons: none
Pros: My son is 8 and got the 30/20 -10 bat. It has major pop right out of the box. The sweet spot is long and the pop it makes sounds sweet. I was worried about the reviews of it swinging like a 18oz, but the fact is that it does. My son weighs 68 lbs & is 4'7.
Cons: None
Pros: Seems to hit nice and my son feels more confident using it since it's a name thing..
Cons: Expensive but if you can afford the best..get it.
Pros: my friends think its cool
Cons: bad grip tears, stings on barrel, can hit it a max of 120 ft, do not buy waste of money bad graphics but the endcap has cool triangles

Pros: feels great with awesome pop..
Cons: none
Pros: I got this bat for my first year of select baseball it has tons of pop when the bat is fully broken in and I'm 13 I'm 5'8 135 pounds I'm a power hitter and a Ready hit 14 hr this season if your looking for a bat that's good for power and contact hitters this is the bat for you
Cons:
Pros: Ok pop
Cons: Takes a while to break in
Pros: Great pop! My 11 year old - First game 2-3 with 2 home runs!!!
Cons: Too beautiful to scuff up. I guess none!!
Pros: My son plays on a 9U team. His bat speed is incredibly fast,so he's able to hit quick grounders for a high average. But he had never hit a home run. So I bought him this bat. Well, this past weekend on his second at bat with the 30" bat he hit a monster home run. Funny thing, the only other home run was a kid on the other team using the same DeMarini CF5 bat! Another good thing about the bat is the other kids see it is 30" and they think its too big so they don't use it. But as others have said, it feels lighter so it only takes a few practice hits to get used to it.
Cons: It is expensive for a young kid. Also, we're very careful not to crack it.
Pros: I tried my buddy's because my bat cracked. I hit a stand up triple that helped beat the NF Hurricanes.
Cons: None.
Pros: It has good pop, super balance, and the boys love it!
Cons: Five Players on his select team now use it.
Pros: BEST BAT EVER THIS KID HAS IT ON MY TEAM AND I USED IT AND I HIT 5 HOMERUNS SICK BAT NO STING GREAT GRIP JUST THE MOST MAGESTIC BAT EVERRRRR
Cons: NO
Pros: Takes a bit of working in but then spectacular. My 12 yr. old son is so consistent with it they call him "The Machine," he hit a walk off grand slam in the playoffs to cap a rally win in the 7th.
Cons: None.
Pros: I got the CF5 -10 bat. It hits great, solid line drives, never a little pop up. I love the grip, its really sticky. The CF5 is great.
Cons: None.
Pros: This bat swings very balanced, and therefore, feels very light. I got my son (9 years old) a Marucci Team 28'/18 oz. in September. One of his teammates just got the 29"/19 oz. CF5 a few weeks ago. In comparison test, the 29/19 CF5 feels lighter then the 28/18 Marucci Team and has so much more pop. I am going to sell the Marucci and get my son the CF5. In fact, we are totally sold on the CF5 that my older son (13 years old) just purchased 31/23 CF5 with his birthday money.
Cons: Price.
Pros: Best bat ever my son has a S1 and a CF5 and its not even close.SORRY EASTON JUST BEING HONEST
Cons: Nothing
Pros: It has a nice comfortable grip and is very durable. Also it is very light so if your son can't handle a heavy bat this is perfect. Great pop.
Cons: Very expensive
Pros: Purchased this for my 10U player. He has struggled with bat speed...obviously battng mechanics is the most important thing but this bat really assisted with speed. Swing lighter than the Easton S3 aluminum that is one ounce lighter. He loves the bat! Swings fast.
Cons: Price.
Pros: everything is good it has the best pop i would get this bat for every travel baseball player
Cons: none
Pros: Great pop, very balanced bat, and has the new stamp.
Cons: Not one yet.
Pros: Lots of Pop, feels lighter than it is. Envy of all other players. Sound Bat, No Vibrations, Just feels right
Cons:
Pros: Just as expected so far. Only been used for one week so far with tee-work, soft toss and some swings in cage (with real baseballs!!). Ball jumps off the bat. Our daughter used the fastpitch cf5 last year and we were very impressed, so decided to buy our son one this season.
Cons:
Pros:
Cons:
Pros: Love the bat. Got a 30in. 20oz. Great pop very light and a balanced. Hit two home runs with it. Feels Lighter than 20.
Cons:
Pros: Just got the 30" 20 oz for my 11 yr old an he an whole team lovn it!!! Amazing sweet spot an double an triples out of the box just in time for tournament
Cons: Nada
Pros: Bat does all the things the other reviews state. Great pop off the bat right out of the box and very light feeling bat. Bought a 29-19 for my 11yr old & he's been ripping it up w/it & the confidence it gives him is worth it's weigth in gold!
Cons: -0-
Pros: I Thought some the reviews were a little exsagarated about this demarini bat in batting cage day one right out of wrapper never seen my son 12u hit a ball so hard next day in tournament game he hit a bomb just before warning track on a 300FT field
Cons:
Pros: My 11yr old had owned combats, eastons and other bats before. Decided this year on this CF5-30in 20oz and this is by far the best bat he has hit with to date. Great pop awesome sweet spot and ripping that ball now like never before. Believe me it is well worth the money cause after seeing him rip that ball time and time again I would pay more for it.
Cons: Uhhhhh none
Pros: My 11 year old loves this bat. Had the 2012 S1 last year and this bat puts that one to shame! Pop right out of the wrapper. Have had all brands of bats , but keep coming back to Demarini!!
Cons: None
Pros: AWSOME BAT REALLY NICE POP
Cons: NONE AT ALL
Pros: great pop hit a hineru. first time up
Cons: it is so good everyone uses it on the team
Pros: Just got the bat from doing exemplary work on my 4th grade assessments. Going to do some breaking in this weekend to get it ready for game time. Thanks Dad!!!
Cons: We got it for $199.99 shipped, no CON there !!!!
Pros: Good pop, nice grip, balanced swing, good trampoline
Cons: None
Pros: its one of the greatest bats ever
Cons:
Pros: Has a small sweet spot but when you hit it it can go far.
Cons: It takes forever to break in and fills heaver than 20oz
Pros: Very nice pop right out of the package. I purchased the 30/20 bat for my 10 year son. He loves the swing and weight distribution of the bat.
Cons: Other kids want to use it.
Pros: Son says it feels light. He has always had good bat speed. Broke it in with soft toss machine. He has always used Easton but it looks like we are becoming Demarini fans. Went 4 for 6 in first tournament. His two outs were still good hits. He is 13 and we purchased the 32" 22 oz.
Cons: None right now. Just had it for two weeks. Hope it lasts the year. After reading some of the reviews I am worried about how long it will last. We only expect a composite bat to last one year.
Pros: Love the weight and balance of this bat.
Cons: Does need the break-in time.
Pros: Awesome bat for the money!
Cons:
Pros: just broke in and im crushing it
Cons: small sweet spot
Pros: Starts out as a great bat. Good pop. Light.
Cons: As use continues it surprisingly decreases in pop compared to other bats. After 6 months of use pop is gone. 2 year old little barrel Omen with heavy use is getting better pop.
Pros: Great bat, tons of pop, good weight, nice grip. Best bat I have ever had.
Cons: Gets dirty easily.
Pros: It is extremely balanced. Unlike any bat out there on the market. Even lighter than the s1. This bat looks and feels sweet. I got the 33', but when it's in you hands, it feels like a 32. Ball really pops off this bat, and you can feel the trampoline effect in every swing. Gives you great feedback and has a huge sweet spot. This bat is a great choice for those on-base hitters who need the speed to get the bat across the zone. No matter what, GET THIS BAT! You won't regret it.
Cons: Doesn't have that loud ping like the alloy bats, but still an awesome bat.
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything, no pop, don't buy please, your wasting your money.
Pros: Got this for my 8 year old, who's built like an 11 or 12 year old. First game using it he hit his deepest one of the season. A bomb over the left fielder. I'm a believer.
Cons: Pricey, but worth it.
Pros: Lots of pop in the sweet spot.
Cons: No home runs yet.
Pros: My son lovea this bat...He's hitting so good with it!!
Cons: No cons!
Pros: Very Light, great pop and great for kids 10-15
Cons: None
Pros: great pop
Cons: Very long barrel
Pros: It is the best bat.
Cons:
Pros: I'm 12 years old 5' 6" 100 lbs. What should I get?
Cons:
Pros: This bat has a ton of pop right out of the wrapper and an extremely balance swing. This is by far the best bat out there. It may be pricey but the end results are far more than worth it.
Cons: None.
Pros: im 12 years old i weigh 94 pounds i am a contact hitter should i get this bat? right now i have the easton xl1 the silver model bat and it is a skinny barrel and weighs 21 ounces.
Cons:
Pros: Love this bat. I wasn't a great hitter before but since i got this bat, I'm a home run hitter. I'm a star at travel ball.
Cons: None, get this bat if you want an unfair advantage.
Pros: Wants to know a good size for my 9yr old. 4ft 4 in tall 85lbs. was swinging a Easton S1 30in 18oz -12 with no problem.
Cons:
Pros: Light weight, hot out of the wrapper, but you should still break it in, has major pop, cool design.
Cons: None
Pros: Lots of pop.
Cons: My 7 year old used this bat in t-ball last year. First year of coach pitch the bat cracked in his 6th game, he's 50 lbs. I will not buy another DeMarini. We have 2 TPX bats that have never cracked
Pros: Even when you dont hit it square, the ball jumps off the bat
Cons: None
Pros: The bat swings light, and has a lot of pop
Cons: I bought this bat at the end of last season, I used it a lot in the cages during the off season, by the next season the bat felt dead and had almost no pop.
Pros: Great pop Light barrel Great feel
Cons: Nothing at all
Pros: Good colors, good grip, nice pop, and a great feel.
Cons: Break-in time.
Pros: This bat is crazy good. Almost anyone could hit for power with this bat. No vibration, great pop out of the wrapper. Feels way lighter then any 20 oz. bat. Turns an average contact hitter into a player who put's the ball over the fence every game or 2
Cons: I personaly don't think the grip looks good with the bat, but that's very minor
Pros: i've had this bat for at at least two years already and it is in the best condition still. i've played 120 games this year still works. it has great pop off the bat. its very light and well balanced. you can get your easily through the barrel.
Cons: none at all!!!!!
Pros: none
Cons: worst bat has no pop
Pros: This bat is hot out of the wrapper, and has great pop and looks and can hit the ball a long way
Cons: The bats durability is bad. i got it in late may and by this fall it had no more pop and didnt feel right
Pros: no vibration or sting, good pop, great grip on handle, very nice looking, balanced
Cons: batter has a hard time feeling the ball come off the barrel doesn't have as much pop as an Easton xl1
Pros: the bat is durable and does not sting
Cons: it felt horrible and the grip stinks. has no pop and the grip fell off. never breaks in.
Pros: I just ordered my team a second CF5, Last year I ordered my 11's a 30/20 but as you can imagine they have out grown it. I just ordered the 32/22 even though most of the kids will be in BBCOR next year I think it is worth it. The bat is very balanced it has great pop. I feel like it is a good teacher. If you hit the ball right it is very smooth but if it gets in on the hands or the end of the bat you know that as well.
Cons: Not really a con but if you hit the ball off the end or the handle it will get you but sometimes a painful lesson is a good one.
Pros: Great pop right out of the wrapper, feels great, Awsome bat
Cons: No Cons
Pros: Well weighted. Feel and hear the pop coming off the bat. Generates good bat speed.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Pros: This bat is good for contact hitters and gave me a lot of singles and a few doubles
Cons: this bat chipped a little and does not have a lot of pop

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
