Pros: Super hott bat! 14U daughter hit homerun against 18u team in only 3rd game with the bat. Get one and see the power.
Cons: only con is not having one
Anonymous
Pros: 14u DD starting launching the balls right away. didnt even need to break it in. Highly recommend it. Switched to this from a Combat Virus that went dead after 7 mos. DD loved how it felt lighter than her previous 32/22.
Cons: little pricey, but worth it.

Pros: My daughter loves this bat so far.. She used it for 16 yr old try outs and really smacked the ball. Good investment!
Cons:

Pros: Great Pop right out of the wrapper, but it ges even better! This bat is great for switch hitting ! Its also great with buntting, very deciving!
Cons: Everyone wants to use it !
fastpitch17
Pros: This bat has a lot of pop right out of the wrapper. DD hitting hard shots while swinging easy, one of which hit the top of the fence...so close! Get one!
Cons:
SoftballStar19
Pros: I have nothing but good things to say about this bat. I have had the CFs since 12u and they have never let me down. Demarini, you have another winner!
Cons: Nothing!
Ks.Dad
Pros: Love the pop of the CF5 insane.Out of the box it hits 20 to 30 ft farther than my daughters well broke in CF4.We tried the new -9 Easton Stealth before purchasing the CF5 insane....Not impressed..
Cons: Needs to be available in a -9 weight.
SOftballaddict

Pros: This bat is the BEST! I was getting infield hits, now the ball goes to the fence! It is definately worth the money. I recommend it for everyone. (:
Cons: i dont have any, this bat is absolutely perfect.
DeCeRaY717
Pros: I LOVE THIS BAT! The pop you get off this bat is amazing. It boosted my self confidents at the plate a ton, and it will boost yours to.I hit three home runs so far in my high school season with this bat. I love the felling when I made contact with the bat on ball. I would always pick this bat over other bats because their is such a difference in making the ball fly.
Cons: I hate nothing about this bat.
Lac
Pros: Very Powerful.
Cons: My bat broke 3 times
Fastpitch Dad
Pros: From day one, my daughter started seeing the improved distance with this bat...she is a natural power hitter, and has hit one home run last year with an alloy. She already has 3 dingers this year, and we have another half season to go!! She can't stop talking about this bat!!!
Cons: Can't keep everyone else in the dugout from picking it up for their at-bat!!!
JustDad
Pros: Daughter has swung DeMarini's exclusively for a couple of years now and loves the end loaded insane. She has now stepped up to the 34" and is LOVING IT. She get's pitched inside allot and the extra inch is the difference between contacting handle or barrel. Only swung in BP but she can't wait to test it in the game.
Cons: None
Jenny's Dad
Pros: I've been a cheap dad not buying a top end bat for my daughter. She's always been a good hitter, but this bat has a lot of pop and her has increased her power. She LOVES it !
Cons: None yet.
Aftershock Softball

Cons: none
cluch cole
Pros: you hit so much farther
Cons: if it were lighter i would hit the ball farter
expose'
Pros: Those grounders that were just routine are now getting by the infielders and the base hits have enough pop to hit the lip of the grass in RF and ricochet past the CF in not time for a triple! My daughter loves it even though it seemed heavy she likes the way it comes around thru the zone.
Cons: none
softball_sammie5
Pros: my friend let me use her bat and it was amazing the pop off the bat was incredible the distance the ball went was way further than my bat now my dads ordering me one next month sooooo excited! Love this bat!!!!
Cons: NOT HAVING ONE!!!!!!!!
fmsteele
Pros: Everything...haven't found nothing wrong with it...I'm hitting the ball alot farther...
Cons: Leave it alone..
Scott
Pros: We bought this bat in June for my 10 yr old daughter. The ball does fly off the bat after it is broken in. She loves the bat and one of her teammates loved it as well and her parents bought her one as well. I would have to say my daughter is now the best hitter on her 10U All Star team and part of that is because of this bat.
Cons: Durability. Tonight at her batting practice her hitting coach noticed the crack and said the bat can no longer be used in a game. This is after 3 months of use and not a lot of use. I am going to buy another but this is really disturbing that it cracked so quickly.
Reagan
Pros: I bought this bat for my 12 yo niece. I have noticed that she seems to be hitting the ball farther w/less effort in her swing. So far she loves the Insane. She also has a cf4 but now uses the Insane over this bat.
Cons: none yet. We have used it only in 3 games as i got it late in the season. We will be starting again soon and am anxious to see how it holds up. I have read of some of the bats breaking. I sure hope not.
Trace
Pros: I love everything about this bat. It has so much bounce that even on your softest hits it gone!
Cons: Kind of hard to lay down a solid bunt.
Father Fastpitch
Pros: Terrific POP. Has taken our power hitter to new heights 270-280 feet in the air. B/A still hovers around .450. The home runs from this 15 year old are incredible
Cons: Only those with strong swing mechanics need apply... Some team mates struggle with the end weighting on this bat and lose bat speed/consistent solid contact.
SwerFam
Pros: Got this bat for my birthday! Loving it!
Cons: Nada
phil
Pros: This is the best bat ever!! There is an insane pop off of this bat! You barely have to tap the ball and it soars through the air..I have hit 4 home runs with this bat..Ever since I used this bat I haven't used a different bat since..This is the bat of choice..
Cons: There is no such thing as a con for this bat..Its simply the best..
Paige
Pros: This bat has the best pop ever!! I love this bat so much..It has the length but yet it is still light..I have hit four home runs with this bat..If I had to choose this bat or another its always going to be this bat..You can barely tap the ball and it soars through the air..This bat has on my heart..
Cons: There is nothing wrong with this bat..Its the definition of perfection..
Jay
Pros: Tons of pop, well balanced, great looking. bought the 31/21 for my 10 yr old daughter who is is a good hitter but not as powerful as she could be. First game with this bat last week.....two HR's and the second was a huge shot. She was ecstatic and so was I. Well worth the money!
Cons: None

My wife just joined her alumni soft ball team for the 2nd year and I want to buy her a bat. She is 5'5" 118 pounds. About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
