Description

The most innovative alloy bat on the market is back this season to propel hitters to the next level! The BBCOR certified M2M is a two-piece fully aluminum bat with a critically acclaimed sweetspot that will blow you away! The SC4 Alloy used on the M2M is DeMarini's top of the line material. The barrel is constructed using Demarini's proprietary aluminum extrusion that provides a thickness tuned wall that reaches down the entire length of the barrel. This creates a wicked sweetspot that can withstand every single crushing blow you put on it! The SC4 Alloy handle also uses thickness tuned technology to ensure that every ounce of your swing is transferred to the ball! DeMarini's classic Half & Half Technology redistributes weight for optimal balance, allowing players to swing faster with less effort. This means more power for the hitter! A new technology this year called Taper Ring allows BBCOR bats to perform at the very top of the standard. Ring placement close to the taper rather than in the barrel allows DeMarini to maintain the integrity of the sweetspot. It's so sweet, you'll forget you're hitting with a BBCOR! DeMarini: Insane Dedication to Performance! The M2M is BBCOR Certified and legal for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Good bat for the money. Very simple and comfortable and hits as well as most other BBCORs.

Cons: Smaller barrell than other bats but still has a comparable sweet spot to other BBCORs. I personally like the Rawlings 5150 better, but this still a good bat for the money.

Pros: This bat is absolutely amazing. It feels light, and its easy to get through the zone. The griptape is awesome, and the paint job is sick. I've only had it for about a week now, but it's easily the best bat I've ever owned... On top of my cf5, and exo grid 2. The ball seems to fly off this bat, however, it does have a weird sound and it almost sounds dead but you can see the results!

Dvon's Delight!

Pros: When I first got the bat I thought that it was going to be your typical kind because this is my first BBCOR bat even though I'm 18 now. I used to keep using the team bat. I then decided to branch off to see what this bat could be like. Judging from the reviews it had a huge sweet spot and was balanced, so I said "What the heck, it's worth a shot." I bought it and received it in ONLY TWO DAY'S FAST SHIPPING AND DELIVERY! As for the bat, my first impression was that huge sweet spot from DeMarini Logo and then some. As for swinging, barely any vibration which is amazing! It's a bit top heavy but that's the way I like it! Anyway, 10/10 for the bat!

Cons: Scratches easily, but it's alright because all bat's eventually do.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini M2M BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXM2C Silver? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this bat recomended for 2012 high school baseball? Festi
Yes. DeMarini makes great bats, and the M2M would be an excellent option. It is BBCOR certified so it's definitely legal for High School.
John
Actually, I want to know if the DeMarini Vexxum, Voodoo, and Vendetta bats manufactured during the past 5 years have composite handles or not? American Legion Baseball rules have been changed so that we cannot use any bats with a composite handle unless it has the BBCOR certification. If the bat has a BESR rating, it has to be totally aluminum with no composite handle. I have bats in my bag with only the BESR rating. So, are my BESR bats legal for American Legion baseball? niespo
The Vexxum, Voodoo and Vendetta all have had handles with composite material over the past several years. It would appear as is your bats would not be legal for American Legion.
Brett
In the rules it says the the bats have to be one piece or not have a slide on barrel, is there an exception to this bat and all the other demarini's? gooey
I'm not familiar with the term "slide on barrel". If that refers to a barrel that can slide on and off the bat, then this bat will be fine because the barrel is affixed to the handle. I'm not 100% clear what that means, but feel free to give us a call at 1-888-521-4487, we may be able to provide more insight.
JH
Is this a good bat for power hitters? chewy
Yes, this is going to be a good bat for power hitters. This bat is a two piece bat. 2 piece bats have less flex then 1 piece bats. When looking for a bat for a power hitter, you will want to look for a 2 piece bat.
Todd
how is the weight distribution on this bat? i prefer a balanced weight jchapmanMB
The M2M will be a pretty balanced bat. Should work well for you.
John
are all bbcor bats leagal for senior league ice
BBCOR is legal in all leagues that mandate the use of adult baseball bats
Sean
does this bat have as thin of a handle as last years model? NateDog
Yes, the DeMarini M2M should have a thin handle as well this year.
Sean
Is this bat better then nike m1 2012 baseball man 70
The M2M is a 2 piece alloy bat and will be more for line drive hitters. The Nike M1 will be stiffer and is used more for power hitters.
K.B.
Would you prefer this over the vexxum. does this bat not having a carbon fibre handle make much of a difference? Birdman
The M2M is going to be stiffer than the Vexxum because it is metal to metal. The Vexxum is going to have more flex because it does have the composite handle.
Kara
do you have youth big barrel version of this bat? monkeyman
As of right now we do not have the junior big barrel in this model.
John
what bat is better the cf5, 2012 m2m,or the 2012 vodoo luke
All 3 are excellent bats. The CF5 is a 2 piece all composite, the M2M is a 2 piece all alloy, and the Voodoo is a 2 piece composite handle, alloy barrel. Each one offers something a little different. The top sellers are the CF5 and the Voodoo.
Linda
how much different is the 2012 M2M from the 2011 M2M other than the graphics.Son hit a 2011 last year and thinking about getting him another for 2012 Reed
The 2011 was just BESR certified. The 2012 is BBCOR certified, it will hit similar, the BBCOR certification requires the ball come off the bat just a little slower.
Linda
Compared to other BBCOR bats, is it worth spending the extra money on lets say a Marucci Black or staying with a cheaper option like The M2M Matt
That will be up to the player. Both of these bats are good options and will be well balanced bats.
KG
Are there any drawbacks in cold weather? Nick
With a full alloy bat like the M2M there should not be any drawbacks with using it in cold weather
Sean
Since this bat is composite for what I've seen at athletes corner would this be legal for high school because the new rules say they have to be a 1 piece bat? kevin
This has the BBCOR stamp and is legal for High School and College play in 2012. Two piece bats have not been banned.
Kara
I have many composite bats that i tend to shatter, I like the looks of this but i'm kind of worried about it being a composite, should I be worried? Eric
This is not a composite bat this is a two piece all alloy bat, you should not have any issues with this bat shattering
Sean
How does the M2M compare to the Marucci Black and the Rawlings 5150? KG
The M2M will have good pop and will be similar to the Black and 5150. This is a well balanced bat and will have little vibration. The Black and the 5150 are also good options and have been very popular.
Kris
If i was going to buy either the M2M or the Nike MC2 which should i get, i would want something with a loud pop and something that will last a long time? dillan
They are of a similar design. The Nike has a slightly more balanced weighting.
Linda
Would you recommend this bat for a power hitter? And how does this bat stack up with the Marucci Black and the Rip-It Prototype II? GoDawgs
I would recommend the Prototype II for a power hitter.
Linda
What would you recommend for a contact hitter? jp
This bat has a two piece design and would be a great choice for a contact hitter. Contact hitters tend to prefer the flex offered with a two piece design, while power hitters prefer one piece bats.
Jennifer
Are there any -5 Demarini bats or any BBCOR -5 bats? Bob
We do offer two options for -5 DeMarini bats, the DeMarini Voodoo and the DeMarini Vexxum. Both of these bats are two-piece hybrid bats, meaning they have composite handles and aluminum barrels. BBCOR bats are strictly bats with a -3 length to weight ratio. Here is a link to take a closer look at the two -5 DeMarini bats. http://www.justbats.com/products/length%20to%20weight%20ratio~-%205/vendor~demarini/
Tom
As a contact hitter, what are the pros and cons or differences besides just the materials between the M2M and the Vexxum? Loud MacLeods
The M2M is going to be much stiffer than the Vexxum because of the two-piece metal to metal construction. The Vexxum will provide more flex because of the composite handle. The Vexxum is also slightly end loaded.
Kara
I have an Easton S3 right now and I like it, but the barrel seems too small for me. I want a bat the is slightly end loaded with a larger barrel. Would this be a good fit? Saints02
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR has an extended barrel and is slightly end loaded. This would be an excellent choice.
Kara
Is tis bat a composite bat? BB.Baseball
The DeMarini M2M is not a composite bat. This bat is a two-piece full alloy bat.
Jennifer
Is this bat good to use if you are a power hitter? big-mac
Since the DeMarini M2M is a two piece bat, it is usually better suited for contact hitters. However, a power hitter could certainly still use it if they wanted to.
Jennifer
What other DeMarini bats have a SC4 barrel? andy
Thank you for your question. The 2012 DeMarini Voodoo, 2012 DeMarini Vexxum, DeMarini Versus and DeMarini Vengeance all feature SC4 alloy in their barrels.
Nick
Does this bat need to broke in? If so how many good hits? Joe
This is an alloy bat that does not require a break in period.
Tyler
If the BBCOR rule changes can I replace this bat or get my money back within the bats one year guarantee? Matti ice
The BBCOR rule will not change any time soon.
Tyler
Is there any difference between the 2012 M2M and 2013 M2M? This is $99.99 while the 2013 is $249.99. Brandon
The 2013 DeMarini M2M uses a new X10 alloy, for better durability and performance.
Kara
What is the difference in performance with each size of the -3 bats? cris
Regardless of which size of the DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Adult bat you choose to order there will be no difference in performance.
Tom
Is this bat a -3? Frank da Tank
Yes. The DeMarini M2M DXM2C is a -3. All Adult BBCOR bats will be a -3. The negative numbers under the bat size categories are the length to weight ratio. This means if you take the length of the bat you are searching for (e.g. 32 inches) and the size it comes in (e.g. -3), your bat would weigh 29 ounces.
Kris
Im 6'1, 250 lbs. What size would you prefer for this bat? BigRed
A 33" DeMarini M2M BBCOR bat would be recommended for you.
Tyler
Im 6'1,193 lbs. What size would you recommend for me? greiner50
Based on your height and weight, I suggest going with a 33" bat. If you need more help in trying to find the right size of bat for you, feel free to use our "bat coach" feature located on our website.
Jennifer
Which bat would you recommend for a contact hitter the DeMarini M2M or the Easton Surge? bob
Both are actually great bats for contact hitters and both will have similar balance and feel. The M2M is a two piece all alloy bat, while the Surge is a two piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. I recommend sticking with a similar design or brand that the hitter has used with success in the past.
Tyler
I'm 5'6 and 110 pounds and going to be a freshman. Which size do you recommend? zack
Using our Bat Coach feature on our website, we recommend a 29 in. DeMarini M2M BBCOR. The link to our Bat Coach is http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/.
Nick
What bat is best for a 6'7 285 pound power hitter? jebscott14

Kara
Which bat is better the TPX Omaha or the Demarini M2M? Schuebs
Both are good bats. The Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha is a one-piece alloy. The DeMarini M2M is a two-piece alloy so it will have more flex.
Damon
Is it good for a bat to have a little flex like the M2M? Schuebs
Two-piece bats are designed to offer a little more flex. This usually benefits players with average to below average swing speed.
Tyler
I am a 5'10 180 power hitter who hits for contact as well. Would you recomend this bat or the TPX Vertex? Tpow
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR is a very stiff two-piece bat that will feel slightly end loaded. The Louisville Slugger TPX Vertex BBCOR will have more flex and be more balanced, better suited for a player who needs to increase their bat speed.
Kara
This is my first year in teener baseball. I am 13, 5'2 and 95 pounds. What size bat should I use? Manbeckeyo
If you have to use a BBCOR certified bat the recommended bat size for a player your size would be a 30" 27 oz. bat. If you wanted to use a bigger bat you could use in the future you could get a larger size and choke up on the handle.
Tom
Is this bat end loaded or top heavy? Schuebs
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR is slightly end loaded.
Kara
Is there any chance that the price of the 2013 M2M will drop like the 2012 M2M did within the next year? pianowhiz23
If you see the price on bats drop it is usually because the next year's model has been released. Most likely it would be some time before you would see the price drop on the 2013 DeMarini M2M
Damon
I just bought the -12 version of the 2012 M2M, will it be legal for little league in 2013? Lefty
If it has the old BPF 1.15 USSSA stamp it will be good for 2013, but if it does not have the new BPF 1.15 stamp it will not be good for 2014.
Damon
Is this bat top heavy or balanced? I'm looking for a balanced bat. If this is more top heavy, is there a bat that has similar performance for close to the same price? thatredsoxfan
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Adult is a fairly balanced bat.
Zach
is it a tenner league bat yes or no? ray
Unfortunately, I was unable to find any rules published online for a Tenner Baseball League. The DXM2C is a BBCOR certified bat though, and should be completely legal for use.
Tyler
Which has a more balanced feel, this or the reflex? erhw
Both the M2M and Reflex are well balanced bats. However, I would give a slight edge to the M2M.
Tyler
is this bat balanced or end loaded? Comeback Kinger4
The Demarini M2M has been engineered to transfer the balanced swing weight into power through their hybrid construction. Here is the link to view more details on this model. http://www.justbats.com/product/demarini-m2m-bbcor--dxm2c-adult/13526/?pa_source=justbats&pa_campaign=was&pa_medium=badges&pa_content=demarini-m2m-bbcor--dxm2c-adult
Derek
I'm trying out for my middle school team and they requrie a a -3 bbcor bat. even tough this an adult bat could this bat be good for a 12 year and if not can you reccoend a drop 3 bbcor bat to me thank you Baseballfan
If you need a -3 bat, the DeMarini M2M is a great choice. It's well balanced and has great pop for a two piece alloy bat.
Tyler
What does a two piece bat mean and what does that do? luke
The DeMarini M2M is a two-piece bat that is full alloy. Two-piece bats are made of two distinct pieces. It offers a little flex to it when it is swung. The M2M will still be pretty stiff swinging though.
Nick
What model year is this? Does this bat have the same amount of flex as the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum? basehit
This DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Adult bat is a 2012 model. It has similar flex to the Vexxum.
Tyler
I have a Easton Stealth Speed drop 8 and need to go to a drop 3. I am a contact hitter. What would be a better bat the Demarini M2M, or the Easton Surge? bucknut1
The Stealth Speed is a two-piece full composite design. The M2M is a two-piece full alloy design. The Surge is a two-piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. Based on the construction of the bats, the Surege would be most similar, and my recommendation.
Tyler
Is this the only two-piece fully alloy bat? basehit
Yes, the DeMarini M2M BBCOR is the only two-piece alloy bat.
Kara
Is this bat good for line drives hitters? Nathan
Yes, the DeMarini M2M would work very well for a line drive hitter.
Tom
Would this bat be considered one for power hitters? If not, could you recommend a different bat that is cheap and for power hitters? Tony
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C is a great bat for an all-around type of hitter. It's not specifically for power or contact hitters.
Tyler
I swing a DeMarini M2m 33 inch -3. I'm 6 foot and 135 pounds. Do you think I should switch to a lighter bat? baseballgod11
If you are playing in high school or college, a -3 is required. However, if you feel the DeMarini M2M BBCOR is end loaded, you might consider a more balanced bat like the 2013 DeMarini CF5 BBCOR.
Kara
What would it mean for a bat to be end loaded versus balanced? Lucas
An end loaded bat means the weight would be more towards the end of the barrel, whereas a balanced bat would have the weight distributed more evenly throughout the bat.
Tom
My son is 13 and is a big kid and a big hitter. Is a -3 32" 29 a good choice for him that he can use for a year or so? baseball dad
That's a very difficult question for us to answer without being able to see and analyze your son's swing. I would recommend finding a 32" 29 oz. bat in a store, batting cage, from a teammate, etc, and have him take some real swings or dry swings with it to get an idea of how it feels. His coach would also be a good source to ask.
Tyler
Which bat is better the DeMarini M2M or the DeMarini Vexxum? g$
The reviews for the DeMarini Vexxum are better, and it is a two piece bat so it will be more for a contact hitter.
Noah
How is the flex compare to the Vexxum is it the same or is it stiffer like the Voodoo. N805
The DeMarini M2M will be very stiff. The Vexxum has the most flex.
Kara
Is the M2M more end loaded than the Voodoo? Sauce
The Voodoo will feel slightly more endloaded than the M2M.
Tyler
Is it doublewall? the
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C has internal taper rings in the barrel, if that is what you are asking.
Tyler
can this bat be used in the cage wannaknow
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Adult can be used in a batting cage.
Kara
Do you know anybody who could be selling this bat for 31" 28 ounce? baseball god
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Adult bat is currently available in a length of 32". I was unable to find anyone selling this bat in a 31" bat length.
Brandon
I bought the M2M for my 14 year old son. Is it as flexible as the Voodoo for him? Gibby
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Adult bat will be a two-piece model just like the Voodoo. This bat will be all alloy in design. The 2013 DeMarini Voodoo Metal to Metal BBCOR: DXVCC Adult bat will differ from the M2M with its slightly end-loaded swing weight.
Brandon
I'm 14 and on a full time travel team. What do you think is a better bat? The DeMarini Voodoo or the DeMarini M2M? Gibas
Both are good bats. Both are two-piece bats, however the DeMarini Voodoo will have a composite handle that will cut down on vibration.
Damon
My son is 14 and we are looking for a good all-around well balanced bat for $200 or less. Have looked at the M2M and Vexxum and Easton S3 or S4. Can you compare and/or suggest one? Dan
It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate. In order to give a better recommendation, we would need to know what bat he has used previously with the most success.
Tyler
Would it be worth the extra money to buy the 2013 M2M? Is the difference in alloy enough to spend an extra money? DCDCDCDC
The SC4 Alloy used on the M2M is DeMarini's top of the line material and it should provide the best performance possible.
Jeff
Looks like the 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR is made in USA. Is this 2012 DeMarini M2M made in the USA? Also, at 6'1" 220 lbs, is a 34" or 33" better? I guess my bat speed has to be faster with the 33", right? hut
The 2012 DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Adult is made in the USA. Based on your height and weight we recommend a 33" bat. However, if you have good bat speed we recommend using a 34".
Kara
Does it have the USSSA stamp? TJ
Because the DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Silver Adult is an adult bat, it has to comply with BBCOR standards, not USSSA. So it does not have the USSSA stamp on it.
Marcus
Is this DeMarini M2M different from the new blue 2013 DeMarini M2M? Are they similar in balance and performance? Vladi
The 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Adult is comprised of higher grade alloy materials than the DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Silver Adult. Due to the higher grade alloy, it will have better performance and durability. Balance will also be about the same.
Marcus
I am 5'2" and 149 lbs, I'm thinking about buying this bat, what size should I get? Bwyt Baseball
We suggest you get the DeMarini M2M BBCOR in the 31" 28 oz. model.
Chad M.
Is this bat more balanced then the 2013 VooDoo? Meme
Yes. The DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C will be slightly more balanced compared to the 2013 Voodoo.
Tyler
Why is this bat on closeout? Has it been outlawed for NCAA or High School play? M.P James
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Silver Adult is discounted because it is a discontinued model. It is BBCOR certified and would still be legal for Collegiate or High-School play.
Mac
How does the quality of this bat compare to the 2013 DeMarini M2M DXM2C BBCOR? matt
The 2013 DeMarini M2M DXM2C BBCOR will have a higher quality alloy and larger sweet spot than the DeMarini M2M BBCOR Silver Adult.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
