Description

One of the top selling BBCOR models last season returns to the field for an encore performance! For the past several years, this design has been one of the top weapons in the DeMarini arsenal. The performance of the two-piece hybrid Vexxum is truly a force to be reckoned with. The SC4 Alloy barrel is constructed using Demarini's proprietary aluminum extrusion that provides a thickness tuned wall that reaches down the entire length of the barrel. This creates a wicked sweetspot that can withstand every single crushing blow you put on it! The handle is made from C6 Composite that is designed with a wider weave than most composites in order to optimize swing flex. This handle works as a powerful one, two punch with the SC4 Alloy barrel, creating one of the highest performing BBCOR bats on the market! DeMarini's classic Half & Half Technology redistributes weight for optimal balance, allowing players to swing faster with less effort. For the player, this means more power! DeMarini's newest technology, called Taper Ring, allows BBCOR bats to perform at the very top of the standard. Ring placement close to the taper rather than in the barrel allows DeMarini to maintain the integrity of the sweetspot. It's so sweet, you'll forget you're hitting with a BBCOR! DeMarini: Insane Dedication to Performance! The Vexxum WTDXVNC is BBCOR Certified and legal for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Pros: This bat was the first bbcor bat that i have swung with, and i didnt know what to expect from a bbcor. i am a freshman on my highschool baseball team, and we were taking batting practice, and i was very impressed with the preformance of this bat. It has a good sweetspot, but in order to hit a ball far you have to really tie into it but it will go, just no half swing gap shots, if that makes sense. great pop, no sting, definitely worth the money!

Cons: Slightly end loaded, if you have quick hands you will not have to worry .

Pros: Large sweet spot, beastly pop, nice look, nice grip, demarini. Very nice bat, and if anything is underpriced. Do yourself a favor and get this bat.

Cons: Only one, really isn't that big a deal but the end grip cap,if that's what it's called, is kind of a cheap plastic and scratches pretty easily. But it's the only cheap thing about the bat

Pros: The bat overall is great. I have used the TPX Omaha and the TPX ExoGrid 2. Neither of the bbcors compare to this one. This bat is very balanced, and it has amazing pop for a bbcor. The 2 piece technology was great for me, because I am a line drive hitter, but if you are more of a power hitter, I would recommend a 1 piece bat.

Cons: nothing really

Pros: I love this bat! There's a lot of pros such as, the graphics are amazing and has really great pop for a bbcor.

Cons: There's only one and that is the bat is a little top heavy but if your a great power hitter it will come in handy. Over all this is a awsome bat!

Pros: I can honestly say, this is the best BBCOR I've ever swung. I've hit with the 2011 and 2012 Voodoos, the Reflex, the 5150, Omen, and CF5. It can keep up with all of the $400 bats. The bat is end-heavy, which I like, and it has suprisingly high amounts of pop for a BBCOR. I'm 5'5 and 135 pounds, and I hit a 375' long fly ball in BP with it recently. I HIGHLY recommend this bat to any type of hitter, especially a power hitter

Cons: When the ball is hit solidly, there is no 'ping,' so beware of the wood bat like smack and think its just a routine ball. Another con, it has to be broken in before you can really start driving the ball over 300'. The paint also chips very easily.

Pros: This bat is clearly better than the voodo. Although the sweet spot might be a little bit bigger on the voodo, this bat is much more balanced and has more pop than the voodo.

Cons: Th barrell piece of the bat could be a little bit longer because if you hit one near the handle on a voodo it could still be hit hard, but while using the vexxum that hit is a dribbler.

Pros: This bat has amazing pop right out of the wrapper. I'm only 5'9'' 180lbs, bench 120 lbs, curl 60 lbs. So basically i am a weakling. With my 2007 easton reflex i hit the ball between 250 feet and 275 feet and that was only a few times. With this bat i have only used it during three Batting practices and i have hit atleast 2 dozen shots 300-330 feet. At the price Justbats.com has this for sure is a deal you can't pass up.

Cons: The paint chips really easy, probably because i am hitting the balls so hard.

Pros: Dampens handle and end hits well.

Cons: Poor quality. Absolutely no pop off this bat. Thin handle (my preference is a bit thicker). Short grip (My hands barely fit on the grip, and there is no room to choke up at all). No response/feedback from the ball when you make contact. Other than that, this bat feels absolutely dead, and after just a dozen hits, I had about 5-6 large paint chips/dings in the barrel of this bat, when hitting regular, leather-covered baseballs! Terrible! This is one of the first two-piece bats I have hit, the first I have owned, and may be the last. Going back to an all alloy bat. Luckily, I got this in the bat pack with the Easton XL3, which is an awesome bat!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVNC? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

will i be able to use this bat in 2012 and more years to come? noneyobeeswax
Yes, you will be able to use this bat in 2012 and beyond. This bat it BBCOR certified, therefore you are allowed to use it.
Brett
From your stand point what does the bat feel like( top heavy or wide handle stuff like this)? HBL
I think the bat feels evenly balanced, although I know a few people who say the bat feels slightly end-loaded (but most can't even tell). The handle thickness and taper is similar to all the other adult DeMarini bats (average handle thickness for an adult bat).
JH
Will you guarantee that this bat will be legal to use in High School baseball in 2012 Rob
Yes, this bat will be legal for next year. In every state and in college, BBCOR will be the required bats to be used in 2012 and on.

Is the 2011 BBCOR vexxum a good bat, does it perform better than the cheaper BBCOR bats. Gooey
Yes, the 2012 Vexxum BBCOR is a very good bat. This is going to be one of the best BBCOR bats that we have. This bat has great pop and great durability. This bat will have more pop than the cheaper BBCOR bats.
Brett
is this middle school aproved? baseball kid
Most middle schools are following the same rules as High School and since this bat is BBCOR certified it will be legal for middle school.
JH
will you have to use a bbcor bat for 2012? pallotta
In High School and Collegiat play you will have to use a BBCOR bat in 2012.
Brett
will you have to use a bbcor bat for the junior league(13-14yrs) in 2012? baseball25
For Little League's Junior Division, the BBCOR standard will only apply to composite barreled bats. In the Junior Division, you will still be able to use an alloy barreled BESR bat. However, for the Senior and Big League Divisions within Little League, ALL bats will have to be BBCOR certified.
Mark
Will tamper evident seals be required for 2012 BBCOR bats in HS games? Kyle
No. Awhile back there were rumors of this, but NCAA and NFHS announced there were not going to proceed with the tamper eviden seals (at least not for 2012).
John
How good is this bat compared to the other half and half demarini bats? Cannons2
The Vexxum is a very nice bat. It is a slightly more balanced bat than the Voodoo. The alloy barrel does allow for a good pop.
Griz
Does this bat have a break-in period? OH LOOK ITS..BOB DYLAN!!!!!!!
There is no break-in period with this bat because it has an alloy barrel.
Kara
Does this bat have a big sweetspot? And is it top heavy?? tictac24
The Vexxum is slightly end weighted. It does have a pretty good sweetspot.
lkh
What bat would you suggest more: The Vexxum or the Easton Surge? J-Haeg
The Vexxum and Surge are both two piece bats. Both are going to be great bats. You can't go wrong with either one.
K.B.
Do you think that this bats price will drop at all from now until chirstmas? MB
The price is set by the manufacture so we don't know if the bat will go on sale. Since it is a 2012 model it will probably not go on sale withhin the next two months.
K.B.
how does this bat compare to the 2011 BBCOR Vexxum Pitcher19
The 2012 Vexxum is going to be a more durable bat with increased pop compared to the 2011 model
Sean
Is this bat top heavy? Gman
The Vexxum will have a slight end-loaded feel to it.
Derek
How does this bat compare to the Exogrid 2, as far as the weight being balanced? Gman
Both will feel a little more end-loaded than average. The Exogrid2 does feel a little more end-loaded than the Vexxum in my opinion.
Derek
how long will the 2012 vexxum be around before the 2013 model comes out?? glenn
Generally the next yr model comes out around April.
Linda
what's the deal with the #33.5&why what's the diffferance now you got me and my totally confused?help us or we are goona go for the easton thanks eddie mellow
DeMarini did the different sizes as an extra option. That half ounce extra or less can make a difference to some batters.
Linda
My son is not a strong hitter. What would be better the Vexxum or Easton S3 BLG
The Vexxum would be a better choice. The S3 is going to be better suited for a power hitter.
Kara
I recently bought this bat and hit with it and the next day i picked it up and their was something rattling around in it like little rocks is this normal or should i send it back SI cardinal
The Vexxum is a 2 piece bat, and as such there is a glue type material that is used to bond the pieces together. As the two parts are pushed together, some of the bonding agent, beads up on the inside, and when hit it comes loose. It will not affect the performance of the bat at all. But if it is something you feel uncomfortable with, give our reps a call and we can help decide what is best.
Linda
Can a 13 yr. old (5'10"), playing USSSA use this bat? His pitching coach has suggested a -5 bat and he also works-out with the H.S. baseball. He is a switch hitter and I don't want to spend $200+ on a USSSA 1.15BPF bat he can only use for 1 1/2 more seasons??? Any suggestions? B-Mac
If you think he can handle the -3 that's what I would do. That way he will be able to use it once he gets to high school.
Linda
whats the difference between the vexxum and the vodoo/? sol
The T3 Strut composite is the most recent technology. With TR3, DeMarini seeks to replicate the triangular structure of a crystal, as that is what helps make crystals one of the toughest and most stable compounds on earth. TR3 Composite is strong, stable, and predictable - without any unnecessary weight.
Linda
What's better bat , this or the nike cm2? Eddie
Both bats use top of the line alloy and composite materials in the handles. They are going to be similar in performance. You can't go wrong with either one.
K.B.
what &when will the 2012 vex come out and what are the color scem/&when is the 2012 gonna drop in price mellow
This is the 2012 model. We don't have an estimated time when the 2013 models are going to come in or when the price will drop on 2012 model.
Kara
Would you say that it has a larger barrel or biggest sweet spot on the market nfmh
This bat has an average barrel size and sweet spot, compared to all other BBCOR models
Ryan
Is this bat legal for 13u play in 2012? Brady
If your league allows you to use BBCOR, then yes. BBCOR is only used for High School and College
Ryan
How does this bat compare to the Rip It? HeavyD
The DeMarini Vexxum will be a hybrid design having alloy barrel and composite handle. The Rip It models will be a one piece all alloy bat. We have heard great reviews on both bats.
John
Do you sell the 2012 Demarini Voodoo BBCOR: DXVDC Adult if so, How much? Jordan
Yes we do. The price is $299.99.
Josh
which is best, this bat, the 5150 velo, the cf5, or the s1 Will
Wow, all of these will be very high end BBCOR bats, you can't go wrong with either one. The CF5 and S1 will have composite barrels and the others will have alloy barrels.
KG
Is this bat legal to use in the Juniors Level of Little League Baseball? Flathead
This bat is going to be made for High School and College players. I would double check with your league first.
Ryan
What is the coldest temp that this bat should be used? Kevin
You shouldn't use any alloy under 40 degress
Ryan
im a power hitter should i get this , the easton omen, or the easton xl2 air desmond
Thank you for your question. All three of these bats are very good choices and will perform well on the field. The Easton XL2 is endloaded and designed more for power hitters. The Easton Omen will be a little bit stiffer than the DeMarini Vexxum, which is good for power hitters.
Nick
Hearing common feedback on the Vexxon and the white on red 5150 Rawlings. Would lead one way or the other for contact line drive hitter? Local high school has had rave reviews on the 5150. Dave
The Vexxum is a two piece bat, better designed for a contact hitter. The 5150 is a one piece alloy bat, usually preferred by power hitters.
KB
Is the knob at the end of the bat smaller than regular bats or is it the same? Chad
The DXVNC has a standard size knob. For any further information please contact our customer service at 1-866-321-2287.
Shelbe
Is this a better bat than a tpx warrior? Jacob
Both bats are great models, the vexxum is going to be a two piece design giving it more flex through the hitting zone, the warrior is going to be a stiffer feel because of the one piece design
Sean
How does the Vexxum compare to the AXE Element? Mark
They'll be pretty different. The Axe Element is a stiff one-piece bat. The Vexxum is a two-piece bat that offers more flex. If you're a stronger player I would lean towards the Axe. If you're more of a contact hitter I would lean towards the Vexxum.
Tyler
Is this bat considered a single wall bat? tklep
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR is a single walled alloy bat.
Brad
I'm 13 years old 5' and 90 pounds if I were allowed to use this bat in my league would it be good for me? I am not a power hitter batmanium
The Vexxum is a two-piece bat that is great for hitters who may not have as much natural power. I think this would be a good fit. It is BBCOR certified and legal across all leagues.
Tyler
I'm 5'11" and about 165 pounds. I am not a power hitter, I just go for base hits. Would this bat be good for me, and if so, what size should I get it in? Derek
The DeMarini Vexxum would be a great choice for you. It is a two piece bat that is usually preferred by contact hitters or hitters who may not have as much power as some. Based on your height and weight I would suggest going with a 32 inch bat. If you need any further assistance with selecting the right size for you, feel free to use out bat coach feature located at the top of the webpage.
Jennifer
14 year old boy, 5'9" 125 lbs. What size Vexxum would be the right size for me? mark
Based on your height and weight, I would suggest using a 31" 28oz bat. If you need any further help in trying to decide the right bat size for you, feel free to use our bat coach feature located at the top of the webpage or give us a call at 1-866-321-2287!
Jennifer
Is this bat stamped with the BBCOR label or is it a sticker? baseballjoe
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC is stamped with the BBCOR label. This makes it legal for high school and collegiate play.
Nick
I'm 15 5' 8'' 150lbs. What size vexxum is good for me? tom
Thank you for your question. Based on your body size, I would recommend a 32 inch, 29 ounce bat. We do carry the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC in that size as well.
Nick
I have 13 Year Old Boy 5'2" 120 lbs. would a 31" 28 oz bat be to big? Steelerman72
A 31" is very common at that age. This will be a good size for him as it will last him multiple seasons.
Kris
We recommend a 30 inch based on his height and weight.
Kara
I am having trouble deciding whether to get the Voodoo or the Vexxum. I'm 6'4" and 185 lbs, not necessarily a power hitter. Also, what dimensions should i use? Steve
Based on customer feedback, the Voodoo is a little better performing than the Vexxum. Based on your height and weight a 34 inch 31 ounce bat is recommended.
Tyler
I am 5'4" 108 lbs. What would be an appropriate size for this bat (Demarini Vexxum), if I am a line drive hitter who chokes up a bit? Line Drive Hitter
Based on your height and weight, I would suggest going with a 29 inch bat. If you need any further assistance in selecting the right size for you, feel free to use our bat coach feature located at the top of the webpage or give us a call at 1-866-321-2287!
Jennifer
Is this bat good for a power hitter? 18homeruns
This is a two piece bat, which is usually more preferred by contact hitters, but a power hitter could certainly still use it. Power hitters typically prefer the stiffness of a one piece bat, instead of the flex that a two piece design offers.
Jennifer
how does the easton xl2 compare to this bat im sorta a contact hitter? wvkid8
The XL2 will feel a little more end-loaded in my opinion. If you're more of a contact hitter, I would lean towards the Vexxum
Tyler
How long does it take before the bat breaks in? 5 0's
The Vexxum has an alloy barrel and won't require a full break in period like a composite bat. The Vexxum does have a composite handle though, and I would recommend about 50-100 hits off a batting tee starting out at 40% power and gradually increasing. Also, be sure to rotate the bat a quarter of an inch between each hit.
Tyler
Im a power hitter, and ive had a demarini voodoo for 2 years, loved it. In my conversion to bbcor, im looking for something a little cheaper but something i can still use to smack the ball out. is this bat a good way to go? Shipleyboss
If you want something similar to the Voodoo, but a little cheaper in price, the Vexxum is a great option with similar feel and performance.
Tyler
My son is playing on a 14U senior fed tournament team and they now want us to change to a BBCOR -5. Is there such a thing? Eagle
All BBCOR bats will be -3 Adult bats. Please check with your league official or coach for clarification on bat rules.
Kris
Does this bat come in BBCOR and lighter than -3? Will
The only bats that will have BBCOR certification are adult -3 bats. Senior league bats will not be BBCOR certified.
Jennifer
For my middle school varsity team, 7th-8th grade, we have to use a BBCOR. Would this bat be good for the transitional year. And do they make a BBCOR smaller than 31 inches, because my friend is only 4'11''. Conor
Well, the DXVNC is a BBCOR bat, so...I'm not 100% sure how to answer your question since it's kind of hard to transition from a BBCOR bat to a BBCOR bat. A few bats available in smaller sizes are the Easton S3, Easton Typhoon, Nike Aero Thunder, Easton Hammer and Easton Reflex.
Tyler
My son's 5'5 or 5'6 and is about 145 pounds. Whats a good size for this bat for my son? jeffy
Based on his height and weight, I would suggest going with a 32 inch bat. If you need further assistance in trying to find the right size for your son, feel free to use our bat coach feature located at the top of our webpage. This is a great tool in helping to find the right size of bat for someone!
Jennifer
I'm 5foot2 113 pounds and 14 years old is this a good bat for me? otto
Yes. Based on your height and weight though, a 30 inch 27 ounce model would be recommended.
Tyler
My son is a junior in HS. He is 6ft2 and weighs 180lbs. He is a high high .300 hitter with decent power, what would be a good choice for a bat? jerry
If your son is a power hitter, I would suggest going with a one piece bat. These bats will be pretty stiff and will help generate even more power. Some of our most popular one piece bats right now are the Easton S3, Easton XL3, Rip-It Prototype II, Rawlings 5150, and Louisville Slugger, just to name a few.
Jennifer
Hi, I'm 13, 5'7, and 125 pounds. I'm stronger than most of the kids in my age group (13-14). I was wondering if I should get this bat or the Louisville Slugger Exogrid 2. I'm also mainly a power hitter, with pitches at speed of 60-70 mph. Thanks. WalkingonBoulevard
If you are more of a power hitter, I would suggest going with the EXOGRID2. The DeMarini Vexxum is a great bat, but since it has a two piece design, it is usually better suited for contact/gap hitters. The one piece design of the EXOGRID2 makes the bat pretty stiff, thus helping you generate even more power for your hits.
Jennifer
I'm stuck between the Easton S3, Easton XL3, Omaha, and Vexumm. I'm 5'4, and 110 pounds, and line drive hitter. cardinals for the win
All of these are great bats. The Easton S3, XL3, and the Omaha are all one piece bats. The main difference between these is the S3 and the Omaha are very balanced, while the XL3 has an end loaded feel. These bats are great options for power hitters. The Vexxum is a two piece bat, which is usually better suited for contact/gap hitters. This bat is also pretty balanced. Depending on whether you prefer a one piece or a two piece bat more, you can't really go wrong with any of these choices!
Jennifer
Are all BBCOR bats -3's? gregorio
Yes, all BBCOR bats are -3.
Kara
I've heard that the DeMarini Vexxum (2013) is coming out soon. When should it come out? Will it have an even swing weight and decent pop? B-Rad
We believe the Demarini Vexxum should be coming out in late April to early May. The 2013 Vexxum should be very similar to the 2012 model in performance and swing weight.
John
Is this bat top heavy and when does the 2013 model come out? My season is over 5/01/12. Nate
This bat is not top heavy, it is pretty balanced. As far as we know, DeMarini is planning on releasing their new baseball bats around the end of April.
Jennifer
Would this bat or the Voodoo be most suited towards a contact hitter who likes to hit line drives? Dlync
Both the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR and the 2012 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR are good for contact hitters. The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR will be more end loaded, better for a player with some power.
Kara
What is the difference between this bat and the Demarini Voodoo? Both are half and half, same brand, and same year, but the price is different. Why? MattQuintana
The Voodoo uses a higher quality composite material in the handle. This helps the bat with overall strength and performance. Both are excellent bats in DeMarini's line.
Tyler
I am a 5' 5" and 115 pounds and a power hitter. Should I get this bat or the Easton Surge? Moose
Both the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum and the Easton Surge are great bats. However, if you are looking more for a power hitter, I would probably suggest going with the Easton Surge. The Surge is a one piece bat that is pretty stiff and will probably suit your needs better.
Jennifer
Is the 2012 Demarini Vexxum going to be legal for college baseball next year, and why did they lower the price so much? Jr.
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum is BBCOR approved and will be legal for high school and college level play next year. DeMarini just released their new 2013 baseball line, which is why the prices on the 2012 models have been lowered.
Jennifer
What's better this bat or the Marucci AP5? Vince24
The Marucci AP5 is a great wood bat, but I still wouldn't put it on the same level as the BBCOR Vexxum. The Vexxum will be a higher performing and more durable.
Tyler
Will the vexxum be banned in the foreseeable future? Farrow0731
Absolutely not. The DXVNC is a BBCOR certified bat that is perfectly legal for use.
Tyler
Will this bat last a couple of seasons and what is your overall opinion of this bat? Catcher100
Bats don't come with set lifespans, but the Vexxum is a very durable bat that I have seen last a couple of seasons. It's definitely a great bat will very good pop.
Tyler
What's the difference between the Vexxum and the Easton Surge? I'm more of a line drive hitter so which would you recommend? elnino
There really isn't a difference between the DeMarini Vexxum and the Easton Surge. Both bats two-piece designs with composite handles and alloy barrels. These bats will perform just about the same and either one would be a good choice for you.
Jennifer
I have been playing baseball for a while but I am going into high school and have to use a BBCOR bat that's drop 3. Is this a good bat? gunner
Yes, the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR is an excellent bat for a contact hitter who is looking for a two-piece hybrid design at a great price. The Vexxum has a composite handle and alloy barrel and is game ready the day you buy it.
Derek H.
Does this bat have good pop? Pwr hitter
Yes. The Vexxum is a bat that is known to have very good pop.
Tyler
Is this bat more for a power hitter or a contact hitter? Can you give me some examples of power hitting and contact hitting bats. Wilson
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum is a two-piece bat that is typically better suited for contact hitters. Most power hitters prefer the feel of a one-piece bat, while more contact hitters prefer the feel of two-piece bats.
Jennifer
My son is 5' and 90lbs (on a rainy day), he used a 30/20 in Little League and now has to use a -3. What bat do you recommend will help him make the transition to a bigger bat? Dale
If your son has to move up to a -3 bat, I would recommend looking into the Easton S3 or the Rawlings 5150 Velo. Both of these bats will be very balanced and will help him make a smoother transition into a bat that much bigger than what he is currently used to.
Jennifer
Are these bats used or still in the plastic wrap? Slugger20
All bats are brand new unless marked as a "demo" bat. If it is not marked as a "demo" it will be brand new and still in the plastic.
Jennifer
If i am both a contact and power hitter, is this the bat for me? jpomps12
I think so. The Vexxum is a great bat for an all-around hitter.
Tyler
Would you recommend this or the Voodoo to a all around hitter, (gaps and just line drives up the middle etc)? Which one feels lighter and is easier to swing? kgf
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR is more end loaded than the 2012 Demarini Voodo BBCOR.
Kara
Which bat is said to be better the Voodoo or the Vexxum? Also what bat pack would you recommend for myself being a power hitter the Vexxum and the M2M or the Vexxum and the Voodoo? Darius
Thank you for your question. The DeMarini Voodoo has higher grade materials than the DeMarini Vexxum increasing the durability and performance. If you are a power hitter, I would recommend the Voodoo and Vexxum Bat Pack.
Nick
Why is this bat pack so cheap? it's a little suspicious! Kylie
This is a closeout model on closeout pricing. Just like when car dealerships reduce the price on their previous year models. Nothing suspicious at all... We're just passing on the closeout savings to our customers.
Tyler
Why is the bat pack cheaper than the plain bat itself? I thought it would be more Sam d
Our bat pack prices are based on a number of factors including inventory. Sometimes bat packs are actually cheaper than a single when the bat pack is for sizes that we have a lot of inventory in.
Nick D
So the bat pack for the vexxum is cheaper because you want to get rid of stock? Sam d
In the sizes that we have higher inventory in, we are often able to get the bats for a reduced price from the manufacturer. In cases like this, we like to pass the savings on to our customers.
Nick D
I've heard that the 2012 Vexxum is very top heavy, is that true? Also does the Demarini Versus have a smaller than 2 5/8 barrel? Last, is the Versus a half and half bat? D.P.
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR is end loaded. The DeMarini Versus has a 2 5/8 inch barrel. The DeMarini Versus BBCOR is a two-piece bat with an alloy handle and an alloy barrel.
Kara
Is the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum a good bat for a contact 3 slot hitter with a medium amount of power? D.P.
Yes. The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR is a two piece with an alloy barrel and composite handle which will help with both swing speed and power.
Damon
Which is more balanced the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR or the 2012 DeMarini Voodoo? Which one would you more prefer for a power line drive hitter? chadini
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR is more end loaded than the 2012 Demarini Voodo BBCOR. I think the DeMarini Voodoo would complement your hitting style.
Damon
Does the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR or the 2012 DeMarini Voodoo have more flex? Even though the Vexxum is a two piece bat, does it have a lot of flex, good for a power hitter? chadini
Both the DeMarini Vexxum and DeMarini Voodoo will be comparable on flex as they are both two piece bats.
Damon
Would this bat be legal for High school ball? Blake
Yes the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult will be legal for high school baseball. As long as the bat is BBCOR certified it will be legal for high school ball.
Cooper
Considering the Demarini Vexxum bat vs. Demarini CF5. Which bat would you buy and why? baseball
If you prefer an end loaded bat the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR would be the best choice. The DeMarini CF5 will have a more balanced feel.
Kara
I'm 16 years old, 5'9" and 150 pounds.What size bat would you reccomend? cman14
Based on your height and weight we recommend a 32" bat.
Kara
I'm just starting off on big barrels and am more power and hard grounders. Would you recommend this or a Easton Surge? sean
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR and the Easton Surge BBCOR are two-piece bats that are slightly end loaded. Both would be great for a contact hitter with power.
Kara
Im 5'5 and weigh 130 and about to be a freshman in high school. Is this a good bat to buy for me? Rico
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR is a great bat. It is slightly end loaded, better for a player with a little bit of power.
Kara
Which bat is better for a 5'4 130 lbs 15 year old: 2012 Vexxum or 2012 Voodoo? dany
Both bats are two-piece hybrid designs. The DeMarini Vexxum features the C6 composite handle whereas the DeMarini Voodoo features TR3 Strut Composite in the handle. Here is a link to further compare the two bats. http://www.justbats.com/compare/
Tom
Is this bat balanced? A-TRAIN
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum will be slightly end loaded.
Tom
Is there any difference between the 2011 Vexxum and the 2012, other than the paint job? eaglemom
The 2011 DeMarini Vexxum and the 2012 both have a C6 composite handle and SC4 alloy barrel so they are very similar. The 2013 model has a C6 composite handle as well but a new X10 aluminum barrel.
Tom
Is there any difference between the 2013 Vexxum and this one besides the graphics and price? DCDCDCDCDC
The 2012 Vexxum features SC4 alloy in the barrel, whereas the 2013 Vexxum uses DeMarini's new X10 alloy.
Tom
Is this a good choice for a power hitter? Other choices? master
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR would be a great choice for a power hitter since it is slightly end loaded. I would also check out the DeMarini Voodoo.
Nick
im 13 years old and about 95 lbs what size should i get my bat because i also want to use it for a while? gzep
A lot depends on your height as well. I recommend our Bat Coach. It's a great tool: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Tyler
I am 12 years old. I am 5 foot 1 and weigh 110 pounds. I am a line drive/contact hitter and I need a 31 inch BBCOR bat. Would this bat be good for me? a-train
Yes, the DeMarini Vexxum is a great two-piece hybrid design with a composite handle and aluminum barrel. Here is a link to take a look at all the options for you that we have in stock. http://www.justbats.com/products/baseball%20bats~adult/length~31%20inch/length%20to%20weight%20ratio~-%203/
Tom
I just bought this bat. It's my first bat I bought, I've been playing baseball for a long time though. I'm 5'9 180 pounds. Do you think this is a good bat for me? I've tried the 2011 Vexxum is there a big difference in the two? alex
There is not a big difference between the 2011 and 2012 Vexxum. Both will be slightly end loaded, better for a contact hitter with some power.
Kara
Can you use this bat at the bating cages frequently? Or is this a game only use bat? alex
That all depends on the type of balls used in the batting cage. If it uses real baseballs then batting cage use is absolutely okay. If it uses yellow dimpled balls, the we do not recommend using any bat as those type of balls can be detrimental to any type of bat.
Tyler
If I use a tuff sleeve on a bat can i hit the yellow dimpled balls in the cage? nick
A tuff sleeve will help a little bit when used with yellow dimpled pitching machine balls, but we still recommend you limit how much you use the bat under these conditions.
Tyler
The color of this bat, is it yellow or orange? nick
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC is a dark shade of yellow.
Tyler
I'm about 5'9 180 lbs and I'm 17. What size do you recommend? 32' or a 33"? alex
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR.
Kara
I'm 15 years old, 5'6" and about 140 pounds. I'm kinda split between the 32 and 33 inch. what do you recommend? Craig
Based on your height and weight right now, a 32" Adult bat is recommended.
Tyler
I am a power hitter, and I'm trying to decide between the Demarini Vexxum and the M2M which would you prefer. Laton
The Demarini Vexxum would be the better bat for you. Being a power hitter though you should stick with a one piece bat.
Noah
I am 13 5'9 and 133 lbs. Would a 33 inch Vexxum be too big for me? I have pretty good swing speed. G$
Based on your height and weight we recommend a 32" Vexxum.
Kara
What are the advantages / disadvantages of a two piece bat vs. one piece? Comparing the DeMarini Vexxum and the Easton Typhoon. David
The main difference between one-piece bats and two-piece bats is that one-piece models are developed as one continuous piece of metal as opposed to being pieces bonded together. Two-piece models are created in two sections, a barrel and a handle, and then those two pieces are bonded together. The main purpose and advantage for a two-piece bat is to reduce vibration for the batter's hands. Two-piece models also give you the ability to choose between a more flexible handle or a stiff, more rigid handle. With a one-piece model, all of the handles will be rigid and more stiff. The two-piece models also give players the ability to mix one part alloy with one part composite, another option that is not available for one-piece users. The main argument against two-piece models is that they are not as hard and act more like a wood bat, as opposed to one-piece aluminum bats which are seen as very hard and dense with little to no give. New hybrid bats with a composite handle bonded to an aluminum barrel are seen as a compromise between the two styles.
Tyler
I am a power hitter that hitts for a high average I am 5'7 120 pounds. What -3 bat should I buy for middle school? rebels32
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR would be a good choice. It has a slight end loaded feel, perfect for a player with some power.
Kara
Which is more balanced: This bat or the 2012 Voodoo? HomeRunOctopus
The 2012 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR is more balanced than the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR.
Kara
I'm a AAU baseball player going into 13u, and I am recommended in getting a BBCOR for AAU and school ball. I'm 13 and i weigh 101, would this be a good choice for me? Benredstorm
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC is a great bat that would be a good choice for you. I would recommend a 31" model.
Tyler
My son, who is a line drive/contact hitter will need to go to a -3 bat next spring. He was successfully swinging a drop -10 Voodoo last spring. He wants to go to Vexxum and I'm wondering it might be to end heavy for a 5'3" 110 lb player. Any recommendations for bat that is not to heavy on the end and has weight distributed toward the handle? bookyman
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR is end loaded like the Voodoo and would be too heavy for a player his size. We recommend the 2013 DeMarini CF5. It is very balanced and high performing.
Kara
I'm a 5' 10" baseball player weighing 136 pounds playing high school baseball. Would the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult baseball bat be a good choice for me? tyler
Yes, the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult baseball bat is legal for high school play and would be a good choice for you. The recommend length would be 32".
Jeff
I am 5'1" and 105 lbs. The CF5 is too expensive for me, would this be a good choice? Jackoboy13
The Demarini Vexxum, and CF5 are very similar. They are both two-piece balanced bats. The Vexxum has an alloy barrel while the CF5 has a composite barrel, but the Vexxum will still be a great bat for you.
Noah
What size bat should my son get .He is 5'9in 150lbs? Ben
Based on his size, a 32" BBCOR bat is recommended.
Tyler
Which bat length would be a good fit for me? I am 6' 165 lbs. pete
By using bat coach on our website, I found that a 33" 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR would be a good fit for that height and weight.
Doug F.
if Im 5'5" and 108 lbs should i get a 31 in? varelabaseball
Based on your size, a 31" model of the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC would be the best option.
Tyler
Are the DeMarini Vexxum composite bats legal for the 2013 Texas High School baseball season? David
Yes. The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat is BBCOR certified. It is legal in High School play in Texas and all other states.
Tyler
My some has a Vexxum 31" -3 with the USSSA sticker on it but i don't see the BBBCOR label. Is that going to be a problem use him using it in middle school play? Sawyer
Actually, no -3 bat will have a USSSA stamp, unless it was a misprint on the manufacturer's end. The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC is BBCOR certified and features the BBCOR stamp. Are you sure the bat you have is actually a -3, and not a -5 or -10? I ask because the -5 and -10 models of the Vexxum have the USSSA stamp, but not the BBCOR stamp because only -3 bats are eligible for BBCOR certification.
Tyler
Is the Vexxum a balanced or end loaded bat? Michael
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat is a balanced bat. DeMarini's classic Half & Half Technology redistributes weight for optimal balance, allowing players to swing faster with less effort.
Jeff
What size is recommended for my son ? He is 5'7 and weighs 130 lbs? brady
Based on his size, a 31" model is recommended.
Tyler
What size bat for would my son need? He is 6' 1" and weighs about 190 lbs? Kim
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 33" 30 oz. model in the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat.
Aubrey
Is this bat end loaded or balanced, and what size should a 14 year old that is 5' 7" 115 lbs use? Breakingnoi
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult will be a balanced model bat, and I would suggest going with a 30" 27oz. bat, or going up to a 31" 28oz. bat.
Noah
My son is 5'6" and 115 lbs. What size bat should I get him? FHMS ROCKS!!!

The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat features a Hybrid C-Grip.
Aubrey
Can i still use it if it is a year old in high school? jetts
Yes. The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC is BBCOR approved, meaning it's legal for High School play.
Tyler
My 12 year old son is 5'7" and weighs 155 pounds. Shouldn't he still be using a youth model (32 inch, 21 oz) vs a 33 inch, 30 oz. adult sized bat? Gordie
Typically, I see 12 year old players swinging a -8 to a -5 bat size. These will be senior league bat models. An adult size 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC would probably feel too heavy.
Brandon
What is the difference between this and the vnc11 and vnc12? baseballmom
The 2011 Vexxum and the 2012 Vexxum both have a C6 composite handles and SC4 alloy barrels so they are very similar. The major difference is a slightly different paint scheme.
Tyler
My son is 13, is 5'6" and weighs 165. He needs a BBCOR bat for school. He wants a balanced bat to increase his bat speed. Is this bat a good fit for his first BBCOR? If not, what would you recommend? bbdad
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is slightly end loaded. We recommend the 2013 DeMarini CF5 BBCOR: DXCFC Adult. It is a well balanced bat, perfect for increasing bat speed.
Kara
What would be a good bat for me. This bat or the TPX Omaha? I'm a freshman about to start high school ball and I am wondering what would let me have a better bat speed and more hits. I am 5'7 150 pounds. Dylan
The Louisville Slugger Omaha will be more evenly balanced for better bat speed.
Tyler
My son is 5'3" and is 110lbs. This is his first -3 BBCOR and BBCOR bats are required on his middle school team. He handled the 31" 26oz -5 Vexxum pretty well. Is this the logical choice for him now, and should he stay with the 31" bat? Jim
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat will be a good choice bat to transition to for your son. He is already acustom to the bat and has had past success with it. Moving up to a BBCOR will not be much of a change. It will only be a 2oz. increase in weight. Everything else will remain constant. A 31" bat is ideal for a hitter your son's size.
Robert
What is the difference between this bat and the Vexxum with the black under the barrel? finny
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is last year's model, while the other bat you are referring to is the 2011 model.
Marcus
Which bat has the larger sweet spot? The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum or the 2012 Rawlings 5150 VELO? My Son is 13, he's 5'7" 135lbs, and has very good bat speed. Which bat would you recommend? JarHeadTim
The Rawlings 5150 VELO BBCOR: BB51V Adult bat will have a larger (longer) barrel than the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat. That would mean it will also have a longer sweet spot. The Rawlings 5150 VELO is designed to help increase swing speed.
Robert
Which one is better the vexxum 2011 or vexxum 2012? And which one should last longer? Gator1014
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum should outperform the 2011 both in performance and durability.
Justin R.
My son is 5'7" and 130 lbs. He is a contact hitter with some power. We are deciding between the 2012 Vexxum or the 2013 M2M. What is your opinion? Thanks. Bob
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 31" model. The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat is a two-piece hybrid model with a composite handle and alloy barrel. The 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Adult bat is two-piece fully alloy design. Both would be great options for a contact hitter.
Aubrey
I definitely can't get the brand new $400.00 CF5 bat, so I was looking into the Vexxum, and I was wondering what the significant differences were between 2011, 2012, and 2013 Vexxum? I'm 17 yrs old, 5'7 and 150 lbs, so I was also wondering if I should get a 32" or a 33". Arnav
The same composite and alloy materials were used in the 2011 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR and the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR. The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum uses upgraded alloy material. Based on your height and weight we recommend a 32" bat.
Kara
Does air temperature limit when you can use this bat? Do you have to be concerned about the composite handle and the air temperature? Chip
DeMarini recommends you restrict how much a bat is used when it is colder than 55 degrees. In colder temperatures, all bats are more susceptible to denting or cracking.
Tyler
Is this bat for a power hitter like myself? If not, are there any bats in the same price range that are? HSSlugger
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is going to be more for a contact hitter. The Easton XL2 BBCOR: BB11X2 Adult is going to be your best bet. It is a two-piece design as well, but it has the end loaded design for power hitters.
Noah
My son 14 years old and he is 6'2", 135 lbs. He has quick hands and has hated his 34" -3 BBCOR Easton Typhoon as he says its too heavy. Any of your recommendations are appreciated. I checked your site bat size recommendations, and it indicates he needs a 32" 29 oz. is this the right selection size for his frame? Is this bat also considered a drop 3? Rockets
The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult would be a great choice as a replacement. A 32" bat would significantly reduce his weight. The 32" model is a drop -3, it's weight is 29 oz.
Kevin
My son is 13, 5'11" and about 190 lbs. He is a power hitter on his team but needs a serious upgrade on his bat. Help us find the right bat and size. Romero
With the height and weight given we suggest a 33" and 30 oz. bat. The 2012 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult would be more for a contact hitter. I would look into the DeMarini Voodoo's they are end loaded and more for a power hitter.
Chad M.
Is this bat approved for Junior Little League? D-Rock
Yes. The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC is approved for the Junior Division of Little League. All BBCOR bats will be legal for play.
Tyler
Can my son use this bat in senior league? mario
That all depends on the specific league rules, but BBCOR bats like the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC are widely accepted in most divisions that typically use youth big barrel (senior league) bats. I would confer with your coach or league director to confirm.
Tyler
What do the numbers on the barrel mean? nate
The numbers on the barrel of the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat are used in DeMarini's Rotation Index. It serves as a reminder for what areas of the barrel you hit the ball on, so that you can rotate the barrel and avoid wearing out one side of the bat.
Mac
Is this DeMarini Vexxum available in a 31" 28-oz. model? Pedro
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is a discontinued bat, so we will not be receiving any more of these bats in stock.
Marcus
Does discontinued mean you can't use the bat anymore? wallball
No, the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC is till able to be used in league play. It just means that DeMarini won't be making anymore and we won't be getting anymore in.
Chad M.
Is the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR 2011 a two-piece bat? baseballer123
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat will be a two-piece design. The handle will be a composite piece and the barrel will be an alloy piece.

The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat is a two-piece hybrid with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The Easton S4 is a one-piece alloy design with a very balanced swing weight. Here is a link for further comparison http://www.justbats.com/compare/
Aubrey
Does this bat carry the USSSA stamp of approval now required for youth play? brian
Adult bats such as the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult will not have a USSSA stamp. Only youth, youth big barrel and junior big barrel bats will have a USSSA 1.15 stamp.
Kara
My son is 9 years old. He is 5'2" and weighs 122 lbs. looking at the Demarini Vexxum, CF6 composite bat, 31" inches 26 ounces. Big strong kid, worried this bat only a - 5 bat. Should I have any concerns? Old bat was DeMarini Voodoo 30" 17 oz.. Team is going to big barrel. Wheels
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is an adult -3 bat and is too heavy, even for a strong nine year old. We do not recommend using a -5 bat until middle school. We recommend a -10 youth big barrel bat such as the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum: DXVXR Senior League.
Kara
I am required to have a BBCOR -3 bat for my team. Out of the 2011, 2012, and 2013 Vexxums which would you recommend for a contact hitter? chamil
The 2011, 2012, and 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) bats are slightly end loaded. The two-piece design is suited for a contact hitter.
Kara
Do you have any smaller sizes in this bat? chaserman
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) Adult model you are viewing has been discontinued. Unfortunately, the smallest size we have left in stock is a 33 inch bat. We have several other sizing options for the new 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC).
Patrick
I am 5'10'' and weigh 110 pounds. What bat size would be best for me? elkslayer
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model in the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) Adult.
Jason
Is this bat legal for high school girls fast pitch? Bre
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) Adult is a baseball bat, and it wouldn't be approved for girl's fastpitch softball. To be legal for high school play, a fastpitch bat must carry the new USSSA BPF 1.20 "thumbprint" stamp and 2004 ASA performance certification mark. For all of our fastpitch softball bat options, please feel free to check out this link: http://goo.gl/qZfSyZ
Mac

Kyle
My son is 5'7" 126 lbs. What size bat should he use? albluejr
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 31" model in the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) Adult.
Jason
What is the difference in this and the 2014 Vexxum? jvdemarini19
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) is more end loaded than the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC). Both use quality alloy and composite materials.
Kara
Is this bat end loaded? What does end loaded mean? albluejr
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) Adult has a balanced swing weight. End loaded bats have some of the weight transferred into the barrel. The extra weight in the barrel provides for a heavier feel and is an excellent option for power hitters.
Jason
Is this the 2013 or 2014 model? beaumom
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) Adult is actually the 2012 model.
Justin R.
Would you recommend this model or the Versus? coach jay
Both are great bats by DeMarini but if you want to take full advantage of a two-piece bat I would go with the DeMarini Vexxum (DXVNC). The DeMarini Vexxum (DXVNC) is a two-piece bat that features an alloy barrel with a composite handle. There be a little bit more flex in the DeMarini Vexxum (DXVNC) compared to the two-piece aluminum in the DeMarini Versus (DXVSC).
Zach
My sons league states: "Only composite barrel bats certified and marked BBCOR .50 will be allowed". Does this bat fit that criteria? mike
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) is not composite. However, it is BBCOR certified.
Kara
Is it a drop 3 bat? Matt
Yes. The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) features BBCOR certification which requires the bat to have a -3 length to weight ratio.
Patrick
What is better, the Vexxum or Marucci Team bats? mike
Both the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) and the Marucci Team BBCOR (MCBT) would be nice options that are good performers. Any preference would be based on which design you prefer. The Vexxum is a two-piece hybrid design with a composite handle and alloy barrel that would have more flex than the one-piece alloy design of the Marucci Team. Contact hitters tend to prefer a two-piece design while popwer hitters prefer a one-piece design.
Patrick
What bat is better for a power hitter: the Vexxum or the Marucci Team bat? mike
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) has a two-piece design and is typically better for contact hitters, because of the flex. The Marucci Team is a one-piece design, which is usually better for power hitters because of the stiffer feel.
Jason
Does the 2012 Vexxum require a break-in period? baseballfam
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) has an alloy barrel and does not require a break-in.
Kara
I am a power hitter. Would this bat be a good bat for me? Meppy05
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) would be a good choice for a contact or power type of hitter. The two-piece half and half design is technically balanced but has a slight end load towards the barrel.
Brandon
I just purchased a 2012 Vexxum -5. Is this a legal bat for Junior Division for Little League this year? Gino
A -5 Vexxum would be legal for Little League as long as it has the aluminum barrel and the new USSSA 1.15 Stamp.
Justin R.
Does this bat or one similar come in either 31 or 32 inches? G-man
We do have the DeMarini Vexxum available in a 31" and 32" in 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC).
Zach
I am 17, 5'11" and weigh 183 lbs. What size do I need? Is this high school approved? mizzoubaseball
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 33" model. The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) has the BBCOR certification stamp and is legal for high school play.
Jason
My son has a 2013, 33" DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR. I was wondering if it is okay to use in a batting cage? Jeff
The only batting cages that would be recommended to use with the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) would be ones that use real leather baseballs. The yellow dimpled balls would not be recommended to hit.
Brandon
Is the Vexxum legal for play in high school 2014? I already bought it and used it. I'm currently in high school, but the umpires did not say anything. Charlie
The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: (DXVNC) will be approved for play in high school. This model is BBCOR certified and will have the .50 stamp on the barrel as well.
Merritt
I am 6'0 and 170lbs. Would this be a good bat for me and if so what length? Aydan
According to your height and weight I would recommend a 33" length in the DeMarini Vexxum (DXVNC). The DeMarini Vexxum (DXVNC) is a very nice bat that has a nice balanced swing weight and low M.O.I. to give you a very quick swing through the strike zone.
Zach
I'm 5' 9" and 160 pounds. Do you recommend a 33" or a 32"? Jackjack
I would recommend a 32"/29 oz. Demarini Vexxum (DXVNC) based on your height and weight.
Bobby

No, the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) will not have the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp. Instead it will have a BBCOR .50 stamp.
Bobby
My son is 13 years old. He is 5 foot 7 and weighs 230 pounds. What size bat do you recommend? rommendo

I had a Vexxum from 2007 or so before the new BBCOR requirements were put into place. Are there any bats similar to that one from before the new requirements were put into place? nick
All adult style bats that would be deemed legal for high school play will be BBCOR certified. For that reason, no companies make those style of bat anymore that would not meet BBCOR standards like the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVNC).
Patrick
I am 5 foot 9 and I am about 195 pounds. What bat length should I use ? baseballmaster619
For your size, I would recommend a 33" in the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVNC).
Allison
Will this bat provide more power than the Vexxum NVS because of the weight? tr
Both the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVNC) and the 2015 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) will be offered in the same BBCOR certified weights. The DeMarini Vexxum will have a little longer barrel length (which is popular among power hitters) than the Vexxum NVS, but they will both offer a balanced swing weight.

The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVNC) was originally released in 2012-2013.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
