Description

New for As one of the most popular BBCOR bats on the market, you'll find a DeMarini Voodoo on nearly every high school and collegiate field. But you won't see many like this. With only 5000 being made, the Voodoo Limited Edition BBCOR is a must own for any bat fanatic. And this year's Voodoo is perhaps the best yet. With a hybrid design featuring an X10 Alloy barrel joined with a TR3 F.L.O. Composite handle, DeMarini has created a baseball bat that is beyond good. DeMarini's brand new alloy, X10, is designed with a proprietary blend of alloy agents that when put together create a barrel with optimal strength. This unique strength allows for finely tuned barrel walls to create the ultimate sweet spot, no matter what regulations may exist. The TR3 F.L.O. Composite handle further enhances the Voodoo's strength, while creating a lighter swing weight than ever before. DeMarini's Half and Half two-piece technology makes YOU stronger by silencing feedback on off-center hits and creating the largest, most responsive sweetspot by flexing before impact and recoiling with a burst of ball-launching energy! The Voodoo's exclusive Ion V End Cap has two layers. One to keep the barrel stiff, while the other transfers energy from barrel to ball with pure over-the-fence power. Constructed with an ever-so-slight endload, the Voodoo feels like you've harnessed the power of a thousand black suns to sacrifice the soul of the fastball. DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The Voodoo Limited Edition is BBCOR Certified and approved for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: This is definately the best BBCOR bat that I have ever swung. The grip tape is great and the detail in the bat is amaizing. I've been swinging it for a littl ever a month now in my practices and it has broken in very fast, and it has one of the bigger sweet spots compared to most BBCOR bats. All around an amazing bat.

Cons: Just a little pricey but I think it was worth it.

Pros: Great pop out of wrapper. Compared to other BBCOR's, the ball seems to jump better of the barrel. The bat is slightly end lodaed, but my son switched from a 5150 Velo to this Demarini and says that the difference is minimal. The paint job and graphics are outstanding.

What is the difference between this and the new CF5? jack
Both bats are constructed in the same manner, as far as being 2-piece constructions. The difference comes with the CF5 being a fully composite design, where the Voodoo is a composite handle with an alloy barrel. Here are link to compare the 2 models. http://www.justbats.com/product/2013-demarini-voodoo-bbcor-limited-edition--dxvdc-adult/17060/ http://www.justbats.com/product/2013-demarini-cf5-bbcor--dxcfc-adult/15465/

We still have multiple bats for the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC Adult. My recommendation is to order before the busy Pre-Baseball season hits to ensure that you receive one.
Brandon
Is there going to be a Voodoo for 2014? Miguel
At this time we do not have that information. With all the success of the past Voodoo models I would guess, yes. Here is DeMarini's Phone Line if you would like to ask them. 800-937-2287.
Brandon
Is this bat comparable to the speed series by Easton? Which is better? Which is more balanced? Gavin G
The 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC Adult will be very comparable to the Easton speed series. Both use top of the line alloy and composite materials. The Voodoo is more end loaded than the speed series bats.
Kara

We have heard no such rumors and as far as we know the DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR bats will not lose their certification. There is nothing on TSSAA's website that indicates the illegality of the Voodoo.
Tyler
This bat or the new TPX EXOGRID 3 BBCOR? D1Baseball
The 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR and the TPX EXOGRID 3 BBCOR are both top of the line, high performing alloy bats. Both bats would be an excellent choice. I would recommend sticking with the brand you have had success with in the past.
Justin R.
What is the difference between the Voodoo and the CF5? I own a Voodoo, but I haven't swung a CF5. Me
The 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC Adult bat is a two-piece hybrid design with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The 2013 DeMarini CF5 BBCOR: DXCFC Adult bat is two-piece fully composite design. The CF5 will have more of a balanced swing weight than the Voodoo. Here is a link for further comparison http://www.justbats.com/compare/
Aubrey
What is your personal opinion on this bat, and would you recommend it for middle school use ? Me
The 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC Adult is awesome. The two-piece hybrid design makes it easy to swing and requires no period of break-in. It will have a slight end load that power hitters tend to love. I would use a -5 Senior League bat unless your middle school leagues requires a BBCOR. If it does require BBCOR, this would be a great choice.
Brandon
Do you think that a person about 125 lbs., and 5'6" tall would have any problems swinging a 32" -3 BBCOR. Random
No, the recommended size for an adult player at your height and weight is a 31" model. The 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC Adult bat will however have a slight end load to the swing weight. So it may in fact, swing a little heavier.
Brandon
About how many seasons will this bat last? Random
The 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC Adult bat will be the best right out of the wrapper. It will not require a period of break-in. It will slowly lose it's pop over time. As for a number of seasons, it will just depend how much you use the bat.
Brandon
My son is 5' 9" and weighs about 150 pounds. What length do you recommend? baseballmomma
For your son, we recommend a 32" model in the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition bat. For additional sizing information, feel free to use our Bat Coach tool: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/.
Mac
How many of the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo's are left? Dude
Even not knowing what size you need, we have plenty left in stock in the 32" 29 oz. and the 33" 30oz.
Chad M.
Will this bat be avalible in a bat pack soon? G
We can't say for sure, but if the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC is ever featured in a bat pack it won't be until sometime this summer.
Tyler
Why should I purchase this bat? I'm 18 high school ball, Division 1. lefty
If you are a power hitter I would suggest the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC Adult. It is end loaded so it can tend to be a little to heavy for some people to get the bat around. The end load will add pop to your swing if you can get it through the zone.
Chad M.
Can my 14 year old handle a 33/30 Voodoo? He is 6'2" and 180 lbs. and is a dead pull hitter. Is it too much weight or just about right? Scary Quick
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 33" model in the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC Adult bat. For further information on sizing, please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Aubrey

The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR bat will be released the first week of April.
Tyler
Are you going to make a bat pack with the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo and the 2013 EXOGRID 3? Boy
We will not have either the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition or the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX EXOGRID 3 BBCOR in a bat pack until these bats are either replaced or discontinued.
Marcus

Noah
What size is recommended for a 6' 195lbs player? How many do you left in stock of the limited edition Voodoo? Detroitfan4lyf
You should use a 33", but you could go up to a 34" 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC Adult. We have a a pretty good amount of them left.
Noah
Will the 2014 Voodoo have a limited edition version? O's
As of now, the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC Adult is the only limited edition Voodoo DeMarini will be offering.
Marcus
How does this compare to the Easton XL Power Brigade Series? droppinbombssince98
The 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition and the Easton XL Power Brigade Series are very similar. They are both end loaded, the DeMarini Voodoo only comes with a alloy barrel as in the Easton you can get a composite barrel which would be a upgrade in materials.
Chad M.
Which will have the most pop, the 2012 Easton XL1, or the 2013 Marucci Black 2? Jake
Both the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition and the 2013 Easton XL1 are end-loaded and more for the power hitter. So, the end -loaded bats will have more pop than the 2013 Marucci Black 2.
Chad M.

The DeMarini Voodoo is going to be best for a contact hitter who is also a power hitter.

The 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Limited Edition: DXVDC-LE Adult bat and the new 2014 Voodoo will feel the same as far as swing weight and feel. Both bats will add power to the contact made. The 2014 will have a stiffer feel because of the new composite material in the handle. The 2014 will also have the new RCK knob that feels better on your hand.
Brandon

Kara
Which bat would be better the Rawlings 5150 or the DeMarini Voodoo? I am 6" 185 pounds. I am a pull hitter and a power hitter. leftylane
Both are good bats. The Rawlings 5150 is a balanced bat designed more for a contact hitter. The DeMarini Voodoo is end loaded and and would benefit a power hitter.
Damon
The 2013 DeMarini Limited Edition Voodoo, what happened to this bat and what did it turn into? Is it the CF5 now or what? frankseplace
The newer version of the DeMarini Voodoo Limited Edition BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC-LE) is the 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
