Description

There's one thing that makes our scientists great - they don't care about the laws of science. The Voodoo OVERLORD was designed for unfathomable and explosive power. Our new breakthrough 2 piece D-Fusion handle allows us to crank up the performance of the barrel while improving feel. Our Carbon Reinforced Paradox Composite Handle is stiffer for ultimate energy transfer between barrel and ball. While our patented ThermoFused Taper enhances an already explosive X10 Alloy barrel by containing energy in the barrel where it belongs - Propelling the ball on impact and reducing vibration to hands. More explosive and powerful than ever, the night before games, the OVERLORD is what will keep opponents up. Better feel, stiffer construction, more power - that's the Voodoo OVERLORD! DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD WTDXVDC is BBCOR Certified and approved for play in high school and college. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Making The Switch Henry Luetje player

Pros: I've been an Easton guy my entire life, but after using the 2014 DeMarini lineup, I am switching over to DeMarini. The CF6 and New Vexxum haven't improved at all, and this Overlord is the best DeMarini released in years.

Cons: Few, haven't found any yet.

Phenomenal Steve parent

Pros: The ball explodes off this bat better than last years VooDoo, or so this is what my son told me. He says it is still end loaded but swings great. He is small at 127lbs. for this bat, but seems to get around with it quite nicely. he said with a lighter bat he pulled the ball, now he hits a lot oppo and up the middle doubles and triples. He says less sting than last years VooDoo and better pop. We have never had a problem with a DeMarini so we expect it to last if we take care of it. If my son digs it, it has to be good. He is a little beast.

Cons: None.

amazing bat loreauvillebaseball11 player

Pros: this bat is amazing has tons of pop the D fusion handle kills ALL vibration, i've hit many balls off the end and i don't feel it at all, and when you hit it on the sweetspot the ball flies and it feels like nothing, the bats end load is perfect not to heavy but you can still drop the head on the ball, this bat is worth every penny. if you want a two piece hybrid this is the way to go.

Epic. bucketsallday player

Pros: This bat is the bomb! It has the best balance: not end loaded but still has great whip! Balls fire back when you make contact, and you feel no vibration whatsoever. The D-Fusion handle does its job, and this bat still has a good ping noise. Plus, it looks sweet!

Cons: The grip is good, but I feel like it will become slippery soon with minimal use.

Pros: I'm a power hitter on my team and this bat is perfect for any power hitter out there. End loaded but you definitely get used to it. Easily one of the top bats out there.

Pros: Great pop and good sound off the bat too! I would recommend it to anyone, and even though it may be geared toward power hitters, it is great for contact hitters like myself. The bat also looks cool with the decals and the golden handle. No vibration at all! Great Bat!

My first year and my first bat. Tyler Jenkins player

Pros: This is my first year playing baseball. I made my school's JV baseball team. I got the chance to use the Easton Mako. I really liked it because of how balanced it was. I did a lot of research on the Mako but not very much on other bats. I went in to get the Mako but came out with the Overlord. I didn't know what it was capable of but I am happy. I let my teammates use it and they like it also. I can barely swing but the ball still flies off of the bat effortlessly. I love it. But I'm still getting the Mako. Great Pop Nice Color Scheme No Vibrations Feels Great Loud "Ping"

Cons: Slightly end-loaded.

Amazing bat! Bradley player

Pros: The bat is actually pretty balanced for a voodoo. The fusion handle actually does what it says it should do! You dont get any vibration down at your hands and you still destroy the ball! Plus it gives that ping noise that all ball players love and miss! Breaks in really quickly took me about 50-60 swings then it really just took off!

Cons: ABSOLUTELY NONE!

Pros: Used this first in tryouts and it turned heads immediately. The pop is unmatchable and the looks are awe inspiring. The paradox handle dampens vibration too used the overlord and it was amazing. Used wood the next day and I thought I had broken my hand after taking one off the end. Best bat on the market.

Pros: This bat is very balanced and looks great. You feel almost no vibration and has a nice loud ping.

Cons: Demarini has not made any big changes, they have been selling the same stuff over and over. This bat does not have great pop but the ping covers it up. I would recommend Rawlings or Louisville Slugger, their bats are the best on the market right now.

Too much hype.. david player

Pros: No vibration whatsoever, i get jammed up real bad sometimes but it doesnt sting at all. Also has a good ping

Cons: This bat gets soo much hype but i really dont see why...the flex is ridiculous...its too much. A little is good but this bat feels like its bending 45 degrees when i hit it and generates no power. The 2012 version is better (prob the best of demarini). this bat just doesnt meet the standards i was looking for. The balance is totally off too. Its not end loaded, all the weight is between the handle and barrel so it can change your swing depending on how strong you are. Maybe its just me but I am not enjoying this bat.

AMAZING BAT AND A DEFINITE BUY Noah Henkenius player

Pros: I'm very picky about my bats and when I picked this bat up I loved it. I thought it was very balanced and the pop in this bat is just outstanding. I used this bat for about a year and it still has decent pop in it. Also a very large sweet spot and the vibration is very low.

Cons: Paint chips fairly easily but not a big issue.

Fantastic Bat Joseph Frerichs player

Pros: Bat is very end loaded, great for power hitters. The stock grip may be kind of thick, but otherwise is very good. Whenever a ball hits this bat's sweet spot, rest assured it will be hit HARD. It absolutely explodes off the barrel. No regrets about this purchase. 10/10 Would buy again.

Great Bat J-Rod player

Pros: This bat is purely awesome. i used it all of last year with over 200 hits during practice and games and haven't had many problems. I am a smaller guy and i used to use the quick bats instead of the power bats, but this is a great bat for me. i ended up having the most hits and the most extra base hits and i'm the smallest guy on the team. I actually ended up having an umpire throw the bat onto the pavement, but even after the bat landed and rolled on the pavement there was barely any paint chipped and no dents so it holds up great!

Cons: I was using the bat in a tournament and the grip ripped in the middle exposing the handle, but a little tape fixed that and I haven't had any problem with the grip sense.

Is this bat going to be top heavy? I've hit with some Voodoo bats, and some are and some aren't. I really need to know because that will tell me whether to get a 33/30 or 32/29. Christian
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: DXVDC Adult has an end loaded design which gives it a top heavy feel. You may have a different take on how top heavy the bat feels, but it is designed for a player with higher swing speeds who can swing the heavier bat efficiently.

I've swung Voodoo's before and hit amazing with them but my dad wont let me get one because he doesn't find it to be a very durable or reliable brand. Is that a true statement about the Overlord? Nick
The Voodoo Overlord has not been released at this time yet. We have had a few people in house use the Overlord in the cage. At this time we wouldn't be able to give you any true feedback on durability. If for some reason there were an issue with the bat it would be covered under DeMarini's 12 month manufacturer's warranty. The 2014 Voodoo received great customer feedback and had very few issues with durability.

I am thinking about purchasing this bat. I really enjoyed swinging the 2011-2013 Voodoo models, specifically the 2013. Would you suggest this bat for me? Tristan
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) has the same end loaded feel as the previous Voodoos and would be a good fit for you since you like the previous models. Also, the 2014 Overlord features the new D-Fusion handle to help eliminate vibration.
Tori

Tori
How does this bat compare flexibility wise to the Vexumm? I know the Vexumm has a little more flex in the handle which helps guys with a little slower bat speed. John
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) will offer less flex than the Vexxum because the D-Fusion handle causes it to feel more like a one-piece bat. It also has an end loaded feel causing the swing weight to feel heavier than the Vexxum.
Tori
What bat would you recommend more for a 14 year old? The DeMarini OVERLORD or the Easton MAKO? What are the pros or cons of each bat? Brandon
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) features a two-piece hybrid design with an alloy barrel and a composite handle. It also has an end loaded swing weight, which is often preferred by power hitters. The Easton MAKO is a two-piece fully composite design. It features a balanced swing weight typically preferred by contact hitters. It also features an extended barrel design. Both are high performing bats and depending on what type of hitter your are--power or contact--will determine what bat is better suited for your hitting style.

Im 16 years old, 170 pounds. I am a sophomore in high school and I'm looking for a 33" bat to swing this year. I have had great success with DeMarini's in the past but am considering the Easton MAKO. I currently have an Easton XL1. Should I go for the Voodoo Overlord or the MAKO? RHSbaseball
If you already have great bat speed and had success with the Easton XL1, then the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) Adult is a great option. If you need help increasing your bat speed, the balanced Easton MAKO is a better option.
Jason
I am a freshman in high school. I am not exactly a contact hitter nor a power hitter. I am like a gap hitter but a tad bit on the contact side. Would you recommend the Voodoo OVERLORD or the CF6? trey
It sounds like you'd definitely be able to handle either bat with your hitting style. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: DXVDC Adult would be a great choice to add to your power swing and gap hits.
Brandon
I'm 15 years old, 5' 8" and 150 pounds. I had great success with last year's Easton S1. I am considering this years S1, the MAKO or the Voodoo Overlord. What bat do you recommend? Jake
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: DXVDC Adult is an endloaded model. If you had great success with the S1, then I would recommend going with Easton MAKO because of the balanced swing weight and the extended sweet spot.
Justin R.
Which is more like the 2013 Voodoo? This, or the CF6? Mo 15
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: DXVDC Adult will very much be like the 2013 Voodoo. The 2014 Overlord will feature a newer Paradox composite handle and a new D-Fusion handle technology. The swing weight and design will be the same.
Brandon
Why does the OVERLORD have a different grip on other websites? Pats14
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR ( DXVDC) has a gold grip. The photo on our website matches DeMarin's website: http://www.demarini.com/en-us/baseball/bats/.
Kara
Hi, I'm Byron Ross. I'm going to purchase either the CF6 BBCOR or the Easton MAKO. I want to know if it is true that the vibration is really bad on off centered shots with the MAKO? Be
I have not heard of any bad stories about the sting on the Easton MAKO. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: DXVDC Adult bat will feature a D-Fusion handle that will eliminate almost all vibration and hand sting. Both are great bats with great performance.
Brandon
What is better the Easton XL3 or DeMarini Voodoo Overlord? just like you do
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) Adult and the Easton XL3 are both top of the line in performance. The Overlord is a two-piece hybrid design with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The Overlord also features a D-Fusion handle which eliminates vibration. The Easton XL3 is a one-piece alloy design and has a much stiffer feel than the Overlord.
Jason
I'm a sophomore in high school, 15 years old. I'm 6'2", 175 lbs., which size bat should I swing? lhsbaseball11
By using the Bat Coach feature on our site, we determined that you need to swing a 33" 30 oz. 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR bat (DXVDC). BBCOR bats are required for all high school players.
Derek
Does the Overlord have a break in period? Conner
The 2014 DeMarini Overlord does not have a required break in period. Its alloy barrel design will offer performance right out of the wrapper.
Patrick
I am looking for a flexible bat. I am wondering what is the most flexible? The bats I am looking at are the Demarini Voodoo Overlord, the Demarini Paradox Voodoo, the 2014 Demarini Vexxum, or the Easton XL2. Which bat should I get? TheyCallMeJuan
Each of these four bats feature a flexible two-piece hybrid design with a composite handle and alloy barrel. Although we do not have data that suggests one way or the other, end-loaded bats tend to have more flex and trampoline due to the location of the weight within the barrel. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) has a more balanced swing weight than the others, but is also quite flexible. Each of these two-piece hybrids are designed with the intention of maximizing performance and durability while maintaining a flexible structure in comparison to a one piece alloy or composite.
Gary T.
Is this bat high school legal? vinent
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) is BBCOR certified so it will be legal for play in high school.
Tessa L.
What bat would be better for me?the easton XL 1 or this bat? Im gonna be a freshmen jon jon
Depending on your playing style it will differ. If you are more of a power hitter I would suggest the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: DXVDC Adult because it will be an end loaded hybrid design. This composition tends to favor players with big hitting games. If you are more of a contact/gap hitter I would suggest the Easton XL1.
Merritt
Which bat is more endloaded, the Voodoo Paradox or the Voodoo Overlord? Garrett
Both the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo Paradox and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC Adult) will have the same end loads. The only difference between the two will be the D-Fusion handle that the Overlord features to eliminate hand sting and vibration.
Brandon
I swung a Louisville Slugger EXOGRID 3 last season. Will this bat have a similar end loaded feel? Also, would a 32/29 be recommended for a 5'11" 160 lbs. player? michael
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC Adult) has an end loaded, power hitting feel to the swing weight. The 32" or 33" would be best recommended for a player of your size and hitting style.
Brandon
I am 15 and only 5'3", 120 pounds... our legal bats this year are -3. I borrow my teammates bats of all kinds and sizes. I have an older Voodoo which is no longer legal for me. Would this Voodoo be a good choice? What size bat would you recommend? Csquared
Using our Bat Coach, I would recommend 30" bat for a player your size. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) is going to be an end loaded bat which is typically preferred by power hitters. If you have had success with an end loaded bat before, the DeMarini Voodoo would be a great option for you.
Kelby
I have been using the 2012 vexxum and voodoo. I am 5'7", 170 pounds... i swing hard and strong. Would the 2014 voodoo overlord be a great bat for me? Sedillo03
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: DXVDC Adult is going to be a two piece hybrid design with half and half technology. This bat will be extremely powerful, and firm. It will be slightly endloaded, so If you are a power hitter, this would be an excellent choice for you. You will be able to generate a lot of power and momentum using this. It has also received great reviews from our customers.
Merritt
Would this bat be OK for contact hitters? batboy00
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC Adult) is more designed for power hitter's that need no help generating bat speed. If a contact hitter has excess bat speed to burn and wants to add some pop, this bat would be a great choice.
Brandon
Would this bat help me hit the ball farther? Andrew McCutchen
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC Adult) will have an end loaded swing weight to help hit the ball with higher performance. Power hitter's tend to love this bat.
Brandon
I'm about 5'5" or 5'6" and around 150 pounds. I wouldn't consider myself a contact hitter or a power hitter. I don't hit a lot of home runs but when I hit the ball it comes off flying and a lot of the times down third base line. So would the CF6 or the OVERLORD be better for a player like me who pulls the ball a lot? BigD
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) is an end loaded bat and designed for a power hitter. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR (DXCFC) is a balanced bat and is best for a contact hitter than needs to increase their bat speed.
Kara
Is this Overlord or the Paradox similar to the M2M model that is now discontinued? Coach SD
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR (DXVDC) "Paradox" model will both be different from the DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C). The Voodoo models will be a hybrid design that features a composite handle with an alloy barrel. The M2M is unique because it features a two piece all alloy design that is uncommon. Both the barrel and the handle are alloy giving it a stiffer feeling while keeping the two piece design and sting reduction.
Patrick
I'm about 6 feet tall and weigh 160 pounds. Would the Overlord or the CF6 suit me better? michael
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR (DXCFC) are both nice options. It really would come down to which barrel material you prefer and whether you like a balanced model or a slightly end-loaded feel. The CF6 is balanced and features a composite barrel. The OVERLORD is end-loaded and features an alloy barrel. Both are two piece designs that will offer some flex which will help the bat head whip forward through the zone. In general, end-loaded designs are preferred by power hitters.
Patrick
Is the barrel supposed to have two indented rings? jesus
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) has two indented rings on the barrel, and that feature is going to be part of the overall cosmetic design of the bat.
Merritt
Should I get the Easton XL1 BBCOR or DeMarini Voodoo Overlord? I am a power hitter and I like to drive the ball. 1000Homers
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) Adult and the Easton XL1 are both terrific bats for power hitters. They both have end loaded swing weights and are equally good in performance. The choice should be made by preference in manufacturer.
Jason
I am 5 foot 10 and weigh 128 pounds. What length of this bat should I get? I need a BBCOR bat. sam

Patrick
I'm 14 years old. I am 5 foot 11 and 170 pounds. Is the Voodoo Overlord more powerful than the Voodoo Paradox? Can the Paradox compete with the Overlord? Which one is better? slammin sam
The main difference between the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR (DXVDC) is the technology in the handle. The Voodoo has improved sting and vibration dampening technology in the D-Fusion handle that the Paradox does not feature. The barrel material is the same Thickness-Tuned X10 Alloy, so pop and performance on the two will be similar.
Patrick
I am 14 years old. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 225 pounds. What would a good bat size be for me in the Overlord? jax
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest the 33 inch size of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC).

Is there any preference difference between this and the Paradox? 1515151515
You may prefer using one bat over the other, but the end loaded swing weight is very comparable between the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) and the 2014 Voodoo "Paradox". The biggest difference between them is that the OVERLORD model features the D-Fusion handle that efficiently eliminates vibration and transfers more energy to the ball on contact.
Mac
Which will preform better this or the Paradox? Pop wise? 3333
Since both the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC) and the Voodoo Paradox have to abide by the .50 BPF BBCOR standard, they will be comparable in pop. The OVERLORD features brand new technology in the D-Fusion Technology, which significantly dampens vibration and sting on your hands and also extends the sweet spot through the barrel.

Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 32" model. Both the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) Adult and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo Paradox feature two-piece hybrid designs with end loaded swing weights. Typically end loaded swing weights are preferred by power hitters. The main difference between the two bats is the D-Fusion handle that is featured on the OVERLORD. The D-Fusion handle helps eliminate vibration and extend the sweet spot throughout the barrel.
Jason
I am 6'2" almost 6'3" and weigh 210 lbs. Last year I became a power hitter. What does this bat have over other DeMarini bats for a power hitter? Cup
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) Adult is an end-loaded bat which is why it is considered a power hitters bat. The end-load will provide just a little bit more power in your swing.
Aaron

The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) Adult has no known weak spots. However, when a two-piece bat breaks it is usually at the connection piece.

I am a 5'6" and weigh 130 pounds. Should I swing a CF6 or Overlord? I am having trouble with the Voodoo. Cole
We would suggest you swing a 31" bat for your size. If you are having trouble with the Voodoo then you will most likely have trouble with the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) Adult as well. I would suggest going with a more balanced bat like the CF6.
Aaron
Is it ASA approved? Batter up
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) bat is not approved for ASA.
Kyle
Does this bat or the 2014 Voodoo Paradox have a more flexible feel? Adam
Both the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR (DXVDC) are constructed with DeMarini's Paradox composite handle and will have a stiffer feel.
John H
Is this bat worth the extra $100? How much does the D-Fusion connector impact the bat? Adam
The D-Fusion handle on the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC) helps eliminate vibration and extends the sweet spot throughout the barrel. It efficiently eliminates vibration and transfers more energy to the ball on contact.
John H
When a bat is end loaded would it have more whip through the hitting zone because that end weight? Bought to buy a bat
Not necessarily. The end-loaded design of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) just makes it feel like the weight of the bat is more towards the barrel rather than balanced throughout. This does not mean that the weight is located at the tip of the bat. This makes the bat a bit more difficult to swing also which can lead to less bat speed which would reduce whipping motion.
Patrick
Im 14 years old 6'3 160 lbs, what size bat should I get? JJ
I would recommend the 33"/ 30 oz 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC) based on your height and weight.

Power hitters typically prefer a more end loaded bat. So I would recommend the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC). Using our Bat Coach, I determined the best size for your would be a 32" bat.
Kelby
I hit for power and I'm 14, 5'11" and weigh 170 lbs. I swing a 34" bat and I am getting a new one and I don't know what bat I should get. braden

The main difference is the OVERLORD will have the new D-Fusion handle that eliminates almost all vibration during contact and gives the player more confidence at the plate.
Justin R.

Based on your height and weight we would suggest the 30 inch size of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC).

The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) will feature the new D-Fusion handle. This new handle almost completely eliminates vibration on contact. The Voodoo Paradox does not have this technology, but is still fairly good at reducing vibration.

I am 14 years old, 6'0", and 155 lb. I am more of a power hitter than a contact hitter. Which bat would be best for me the CF6, Voodoo Paradox, or the Voodoo Overlord? Baseball Player
Based on your height and weight I would recommend a 33" length. Based on your hitting style I would recommend an end loaded swing weight. I would recommend going with either the DeMarini Voodoo Overlord (DXVDC) or the DeMarini Voodoo (DXVDC) both are great bats with an endloaded swing weight.
Zach
I'm 5'10" and I weigh 135-140 lbs. What length of bat should I swing? I am a power hitter, and I can easily get the bat through the zone. Baseball Player
Based on your approximate height and weight, the suggested length we would recommend in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: (DXVDC) would be 32 inches.
Merritt
I'm a contact hitter. Would the DeMarini Overlord be a good fit? I know it has a little end load, but will that effect my swing? maason20
The slightly end loaded swing weight of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) bat could definitely affect your swing, but it's difficult for us to say that you wouldn't use it well. Typically, contact hitters will use balanced bats more efficiently. Choosing between the two different swing weights is really only something you can determine by trial and error. But I may avoid the Overlord if you typically hit for contact, and haven't swung an end loaded bat before.
Mac
I'm a sophomore in high school 6'0" 210 pounds ,power hitter, I was wondering what size bat I should get? danjim416
According to your height and weight I would suggest a 33" length in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC).
Zach
What last longer aluminum, or composite? Also, do full composite bats ever go dead? J man
Composite material tends to last a little bit longer because the kevlar fibers used in the construction take a while to expand. Therefore, the alloy materials tend to start off extremely hot, whereas the composite materials take time to heat up. Both materials have their pros and cons. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: (DXVDC) will have a composite handle and alloy barrel. The handle is designed to eliminate the sting which is more commonly found in all alloy products. The alloy material will be very powerful in this model, and this bat will be hot out of the wrapper. To answer your second question, yes, full composite bats will lose their pop over time, and will eventually become dead.
Merritt
I am 14, 4'11" and 110 lbs. I am a contact hitter, but I have a little power. I really like this bat and want to get it. Do you think this or the CF6 is better for me? What size? JV
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 30" model in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC). Typically, an end loaded bat like the OVERLORD is better for power hitters and the CF6 is better for contact hitters with the balanced swing weight. The OVERLORD or the CF6 would work just fine for you.
Jason
What's the bat made of? Ruby atoms
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo Overlord (DXVDC) has a D-Fusion composite handle with a X10 Aluminum barrel.

Kelby
I am 5 foot 4 and weigh 140 pounds. I am trying to decide between this Voodoo or the Easton S2. I was wondering which is a more balanced bat and what size you would recommend? EM baseball
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest a 31 inch bat. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) is a more end-loaded or barrel heavy design. The 2014 Easton S2 BBCOR (BB14S2) would be the more balanced of the two. Both are great hybrid designs and the preference between the two would be based on which weight you prefer.
Patrick
When are the 2015's coming out and will there be any changes to the Voodoo DXVDC besides the paint scheme? Dirt Doctor
We are expecting the new line from DeMarini in late summer, probably around August or September. We have yet to receive any specifics about whether the new model will differ greatly from the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC).
Patrick
I have ordered two of these bats and sent them back because there was something rattling in the barrel. Is this a normal thing or does this mean its defective? grant
A rattling sound is a fairly common occurrence with almost any bat. Almost always it is simply a small piece of glue that chipped off inside the bat. This will not hinder the performance of the bat at all. However, there is always a small chance it could be something else and be a defect, so sending the bat in for a replacement can be a good idea at times.
Kyle J.
Which is a better overall bat, the Voodoo Paradox or the Voodoo Overlord? BaseballTitan11
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) will feature the D-Fusion handle technology that the Voodoo Paradox does not have. It will be the newer option.
Brandon

I would recommend going with the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC) because it has an end-loaded swing weight it will help you get more power on the baseball. I would recommend a 32" length in the DeMarini Voodoo Overlord (DXVDC).
Zach
My 12 year son is 64 pounds and is deciding between a 31" -13 of this bat, the Voodoo Paradox and the Easton S1. What do you recommend? batmom
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC) and the Easton S1 (BB14S1) are both great options. To pick one over the other really comes down to your son's hitting style. If your son is a contact hitter who hits to get on base I would recommend the Easton S1 because of its balanced swing weight and low M.O.I. If he is a power hitter I would recommend the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC) because of its slightly end loaded swing weight and paradox handle for a stiffer feel.
Zach
I am 5'11" and 135lbs what size would you recommend? MaGaDa
Based on your height and weight I would recommend a 32 inch model of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC).
Bobby
I swung a 2012 Voodoo bat from freshman year to my junior year. Would that bat also be considered slightly end loaded like the OVERLORD is? Register7
The 2012 Voodoo you used is slightly end loaded just like the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) is?
Jason
When is the 2015 model coming out? h
We are expecting the new lineup of DeMarini products to release around September 1st of this year. The newest version of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) is expected to be one of the bats featured.
Patrick
My coach says I have great bat soeed and should be hitting homeruns by junior year. Would this be a hood bat forme? BbBasebal
Yes, if you have good bat speed to begin with I would recommend the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC). Its end loaded swing weight provides a feel that power hitters love.
Bobby
I am more of a power hitter. Would you recommend this bat or the Louisville Slugger Attack? matty baseball
If you are a power hitter, the more end-loaded design of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) may be beneficial if you are able to swing it well. If a more balanced bat is what you are looking for I would go with the 2014 Louisville Slugger Attack BBCOR (BBAT14-RR). Both are great designs.
Patrick
When is the 2015 version coming out? Brodog66
We are expecting the new line of DeMarini products to come out in September of this year. It is expected that a newer version of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) will be featured but no design specifics are currently available.
Patrick
When will the new designs for the 2015 DeMarini Voodoo be released? What will be different from the 2014 model? FHRITP
DeMarini is releasing their new line of bats around 9/1/2014. There may be a new version of the Voodoo, although I am not positive at this time. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) is the latest version available. I am also unaware of what may be different between past and newer models.
Brandon
What is the difference between the Voodoo Paradox and the Voodoo OVERLORD? jakeybighits
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC) has the new D-Fusion handle that helps eliminate vibration and extend the sweet spot through out the barrel. The Voodoo Paradox does not have the D-Fusion handle.
Kelby
What DeMarini bat will have the most pop? james
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR: (DXVDC) will incorporate an alloy barrel making it pretty hot right out of the wrapper. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR: (DXCFC) will also be very powerful. However, the composite material does take a little while to break-in, but once it is broken in, will be very high performing.
Merritt
I've seen the 2014 Voodoo Overlord listed as (DXVDC), WTDXVDC,and (WTDXVDC-140). Are these all the same? Tim
I can't speak for other retailers' products, but the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) we carry is the same bat as the (WTDXVDC) that you find on DeMarini.com. So far, there has only been one version of the 2014 OVERLORD BBCOR produced.
Mac
Which bats pop will last longer? The new DeMarini OVERLORD Voodoo or the new BBCOR DeMarini CF6? Dylan
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) will feature an alloy barrel. This material will not hold its performance as long as a composite barrel will. The CF6 will feature a composite barrel.
Brandon
What size should I use if I am 5'6"? Kvaups
The best way to determine the correct bat size for a player is based on their height and weight. However, players that are 5'6" typically swing 32" models in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC). For more sizing information check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Jason
I am 4'9" and i was wondering which would be a better bat to use? I was thinking if the DeMarini Cf6 or the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD? Shane15
If your playing style is more representative of a contact hitter, I would probably suggest the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR: (DXCFC). However, if you would consider yourself a power hitter, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: (DXVDC) would be an excellent choice for your game. This model will incorporate a slight end-load, and this characteristic tends to be favored by big hitters.
Merritt
i am more of a contact hitter and i was wondering if the voodoo overlord would be good for me. i know it has a slight end load and is for more of power hitters but i wanted to know if it would be a good bat for me? baseball15
Yes, the 2014 Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) would be a great option for you. The slight end load on the bat will help you get more distance on your hits.
Sean
I am trying to decide between this and the CF6. I don't want to give up any bat speed. Does the end load on this bat make it harder to get through the zone? Boo
It absolutely can. The balanced swing weight of the CF6 would allow you to reach higher swing speeds and have more control over the bat than the slightly end loaded swing weight of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC). But if a player can still swing the Voodoo quickly, the end load creates more momentum in their swing for more power. It's tough to say which design you would use best, but the CF6 would be the best choice for bat speed.
Mac
I'm 6'2" and more of a contact hitter. Lately, I've been just crushing the ball with the EXOGRID 3 and I want a new bat. Is the OVERLORD a good choice? Alec00
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) features an end loaded swing weight, which is generally preferred by power hitters. Usually contact hitters will prefer a balanced bat because they are easier to work on bat speed and bat control with. The EXOGRID 3 is a balanced bat as well. There is nothing to say that you couldn't make the jump to an end loaded OVERLORD, it will ultimately be up to you, your strength, and your bat speed.
Tessa
I'm 5'6" and 155 pounds. I'm wondering if this bat is good for me? I used the 2012 Voodoo and had a lot of power. Is this bat similar in any way to the 2012 version of the Voodoo? the kid
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: (DXVDC) will also be a hybrid design. The biggest difference is that the new model will incorporate newer, hotter, material to boost performance. This model will also incorporate D-Fusion handle technology to help reduce vibrations and will extend the sweet spot.
Merritt
Which bats sweet spot is bigger this or the new 2014 bbcor demarini cf6? Dylan
The sweet spot will be the same size on the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) and the 2014 DeMarini CF6.
Sean
Which bats pop lasts longer this or the 2012 bbcor demarini cf5? Dylan
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) will have the same lifespan as the 2012 DeMarini CF5.
Sean
I am 5'6" 155 pounds. I am a contact hitter but I am also very strong and can hit the ball a long way. Is this bat good for me? Shole
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) features an end loaded swing weight, which is generally preferred by power hitters. Generally, contact hitters tend to prefer a balanced swing weight, which is easier to work on bat speed and bat control. If you have the strength to control the end load as well as great bat speed, the OVERLORD may be a great option to go with. Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" bat.
Tessa
I'm 6' 175 lbs. Would this bat be better for me in a 33.5" or 34"? baseball2332
Based on your approximate height and weight, I would probably suggest a 33" in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR: (DXVDC). However, it will ultimately come down to what feels most comfortable for you.
Merritt
I'm 6", and weigh 185 lbs. and a freshman this year. I'm a power guy. Do you recommend this bat? What size? Ky
If you are more of a power hitter, then the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) would be a great option to check out. It has an end loaded design, which is typically preferred by power hitters. Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" bat.
Tessa
How long does it take to break-in this bat? dan
Since the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) is an alloy barrel bat, it does not need to be broken it.
Sean
How long to break-in? dan
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) will not require any period of break-in. This bat will feature an alloy barrel. Only certain composite barrel bats require any break-in periods.
Brandon
Is this bat similar in end load to the 2012 Omaha? Statefarm7
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) will be more end loaded than the 2012 Louisville Slugger Omaha.
John H
I'm 6'2". What size bat do you recommend for me? seth
Based on your height, we recommend a 33" or 34" 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC). Sizing is preferential and is mostly based on height and weight. For more information on sizing, check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/.
Tessa
I am 6'8' and 215 lbs. I am a sophomore in high school and a power hitter. What size bat should I use? palmtree
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 34" model in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Jason
My son is 5'8" tall and weighs 125 lbs. He is also a contact hitter. What would you suggest? MC
As a contact hitter, I would probably suggest a two-piece balanced design. This will provide added flex, and will make it very easy for hitters to swing through the zone. Therefore, I would highly recommend taking a closer look at the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXCFC). This model will provide great technology and incorporates many of the features that tend to be preferred by contact players.
Merritt
Which bat is more end-loaded? This model or the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR? baseball12345678910111213
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC) will have an end-loaded feel to it. The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum is designed to feel balanced, and will have an even weight distribution. Therefore, only the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC) will feel slightly top-heavy.
Merritt
I'm 5'7" and 130 pounds. What size would be good for me? homerun guy
Based on your approximate height and weight, I would suggest a 31" in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC).
Merritt
What bat would you recommend for a contact hitter: CF6 BBCOR or Overlord BBCOR? Johnny baseballl
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will be better suited for a contact hitter as it is more balanced, whereas the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is more end loaded for a power hitter.
Damon
I'm looking for a bat similarly weighted to my 2013 voodoo and Im curious wether the CF6, voodoo paradox, or voodoo overlord is a better fit. conner n
All of the bats in the Voodoo line will be weighted about the same. If you prefer a balanced bat then the CF6 would be a better fit. If you like the heavier end loaded feel I would go with the Voodoo Overlord.
Bobby
I'm 13 years old, and I am going into 8th grade. This will be the first year that I need to use a big barrel bat. I was wondering if this bat would be a good choice? If so, which dimensions would be right? I'm about 5'7", and weigh about 125 lbs. AS
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC) will be an excellent bat if you are a power hitter. The two-piece, end-loaded hybrid design, is excellent for generating and producing power. Based on your approximate height and weight, I would probably suggest 31".
Merritt
Will the Demarini Voodoo Overlord have a faster swing speed than the Rawlings Velo? Banshee
The swing speed of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) versus the 2014 Rawlings 5150 VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBV3) would be more dependent on the player's strength. The OVERLORD will be more end-loaded which will make it have a heavier swing weight than the VELO. Most players would be able to swing the VELO faster due to it's more balanced design.
Patrick
I am between 5 foot 5 and 5 foot 6 and weigh about 150 pounds. What size do you recommend? johny baseball
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest a 32 inch size of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Patrick
Hello. I am 14 and going to high school next year. I am about 5'7" and projected to grow to about 5'9". What size should I get? I previously swung a 31" 28 oz., so it won't be to hard to adjust to a bigger size if so. I am also about 179 lbs. Sean Deemer
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). Even with your projected growth, our Bat Coach still recommends the 32" bat. Since you have used the 31" previously, jumping to a 32" would be a natural progression size wise. For more information on sizing, check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Tessa
What would be a better bat for a power hitter? The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo Overlord or the 2014 Rawlings Trio? Ron
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features an end loaded swing weight, which is generally preferred by power hitters. The TRIO features a balanced swing weight, which is generally preferred by contact hitters. Both are high performance models but for power hitting, I would recommend the OVERLORD.
Tessa
Where is this glove manufactured? Memo
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Tessa
Would a 29.5" be a good alternative to use for faster hands instead of a 30 oz? I want to keep the power of the bat. Memo
Ultimately, it will depend on your size and what feels most comfortable to swing through with. However, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC) will incorporate a slight end-load so it will be heavier towards the top of the barrel. Therefore,if you'd like to decrease the weight, it may be favorable in helping you to keep a faster bat swing.
Merritt
I am about 5'8" and 130 pounds. I need a BBCOR bat, and I don't know whether to go with the CF6, Paradox or the Voodoo OVERLORD? el mondo
Depending on what type of hitter you are will determine which bat you should get. If you are a contact hitter the the 2014 DeMarini CF6 would be the best option for you but if you are a power hitter, either the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) or the DeMarini Voodoo Paradox would be the best option for you.
Cooper
I'm 5'8" and 185 pounds. I am also a power hitter. Is this bat good for me? person
As a power hitter, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC) would be an excellent choice for you. This model will incorporate a slight end-load, and typically this feature is preferred by big hitters. The X10 Alloy used in the barrel will also give you a very high performance right out of the wrapper. Therefore, this particular model will fit your game extremely well.
Merritt
I'm 5'8" and 140 pounds. I'm a power hitter but a little more contact hitter. Is the OVERLORD or the CF6 a better bat for me? Baseballlife9
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features an end loaded swing weight, which is generally preferred by power hitters. The DeMarini CF6 features a balanced swing weight, which is usually preferred by contact hitters. Both bats are high performance models, however, since you can hit for both power and contact, the best bat for you will depend on your own preferences. If you prefer an end loaded swing weight, the OVERLORD is the bettter option. If you prefer a balanced bat that you can work on bat speed and control, the CF6 may be the better option there.
Tessa
I am 5'6", and 120 pounds. What size should I use? baseball king
Based on your approximate height and weight, I would probably suggest 30" in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC).
Merritt
Do you have to break in the OVERLORD or is it hot out of the wrapper? Johnny Baseball
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) has an alloy barrel so you do not have to break it in. The only bats that need to be broken in are the ones that have composite barrels.
Cooper
I am a contact hitter but can have a some power. Would you prefer the Voodoo OVERLORD or the CF6? Which do you think has more pop? carter
Both the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the DeMarini CF6 (DXCFC) are high performance models. With regard to pop, since they both have to meet the same performance criteria set by the BBCOR certification, they will have about the same pop. The best bat for you will depend on your own preferences. The OVERLORD has an end loaded swing weight, which is generally preferred by power hitters. Since you are more of a contact hitter, the CF6 may be the better option since it has a balanced swing weight, which is great to work on bat speed and control with. Ultimately, it will be up to you and if you prefer an end loaded or balanced bat.
Tessa
What is the difference between the voodoo overlord and regular voodoo? truss
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC) has the new D-Fusion handle that eliminates vibration to the hands on mishits. The Voodoo does not have that D-Fusion handle.
Kelby
I am around 5'10" and 190 lbs. I am also a power hitter. Would you recommend the Easton MAKO or the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD? Also, which size would work best? Jake
Based on your playing style, I would probably suggest the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC). This model will incorporate a slight end-load, and will work perfect for big hitters. I would also recommend a 33" based on your approximate height and weight.
Merritt
I'm 5'11" and 165 pounds. I use the 2013 Easton S1 right now. I've always hit well with end-loaded bats, as I have owned two Voodoos before. However, I like the balance in the S1. Would this bat be a better choice for me? Also, what size? Mum
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC) will incorporate an end-load similar to the Voodoos that you have used before. If you prefer a balanced model, I would probably not recommend this particular model due to its uneven weight distribution.Generally, power hitters tend to be a big fan of end-loaded bats, and contact hitters tend to prefer a more balanced feel. Based on your approximate height and weight, I would suggest a 32".
Merritt
My Voodoo OVERLORD has something loose in the barrel. Would this be something I should return it for, and would I get the new 2015 bat as the return bat? Jman
A rattle in a bat is likely not something that is covered under the manufacturer's warranty, as it typically has no affect on performance or durability. A rattle is typically caused by some extra adhesive used to hold the end cap in place coming loose. For the exact specifics on what is able to be replaced under warranty, and what option you might receive in its place, you would need to contact DeMarini directly at: (800) 937-2287.
Mac
I am 5'7" and about 175 lbs. Is this a good choice? If so, what size? If not, what bat would be good? I have used this bat, but in a lighter version and I am moving to a heavier sized bat. mick
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC) is an excellent bat for power hitters. It will incorporate a slight end-load, but if you have used it before and you like it, it should be fine. Based on your approximate height and weight, I would suggest a 32".
Merritt
Do you think the OVERLORD or the Paradox is better? sam
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is going to be the same bat as the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo Paradox but the OVERLORD will have the new D-Fusion handle that will help reduce vibration.
Cooper
What's the difference between the OVERLORD and the Paradox? I am a power hitter, and I like some end-load to my bat. I'm 6'1" and 250 lbs. Which bat is the best for me, and what size? ball killer
Based on your approximate height and weight, I would suggest a 33". As for the difference between the Paradox, and OVERLORD, there is really only one big difference. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC) will incorporate D-Fusion Handle Technology. This helps eliminate the vibration, and is designed to expand the sweet spot. Ultimately, both models will incorporate the same weight distribution and materials. It is simply going to be that the technology is a little bit different. As a power hitter, both of these models will fit your game extremely well.
Merritt
My son is 13 yrs old, 5' 8", and around 135. He plays Junior High baseball. Would this be an OK bat for him, or would the other Voodoo be better? debbie
The swing weight of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is very comparable to the other 2014 Voodoo model. The big difference in design is the D-Fusion handle on the Overlord that transfers energy more efficiently to the ball on contact. Both are great options, but the Overlord doesn't feature the newest technology.
Mac
I'am a power hitter that likes to take it up the gaps and up the middle. Ive been using Rip-It bats, and looking for a change in bats. I use a 34 Rip-It Prototype. How do i know if DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR is the right one for me? bighitter_toni
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features the same end loaded feel as the RIP-IT Protoype. The OVERLORD features an alloy barrel, which is similar to the alloy barrel of the Prototype. The main difference between these two models is that the OVERLORD is a two-piece design (so it will provide more flex on contact), whereas the Prototype is one-piece design (so it will feel stiffer on contact). Both are great options for power hitting.
Tessa
is this bat a big barrel josh
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR (DXVDC) has a 2 5/8" barrel.
Bobby
I'm more of a contact-hitter who wants to hit further. Which bat do you think would give me more pop? This model, the Rawlings 5150 Alloy, or 2014 Rawlings Trio? bboy
If you are looking for a lot of great power, I would probably recommend the 2014 Rawlings 5150 Alloy BBCOR Baseball Bat: (BB513). This model has been highly reviewed and will be top of the line in performance. The 5150 Alloy, balanced design, is ideal for players looking to improve their bat speed, and increase pop.
Merritt
Which would you choose between this and the 2012 XL3? h
The choice between the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the Easton XL3 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB11X3) would be based on which style you prefer. The Voodoo is a two-piece hybrid design with an alloy barrel and a composite handle. The XL3 is a one-piece alloy design. Both are great models. The OVERLORD will flex a bit more and will have a bit more sting and vibration protection. The XL3 will offer more control over the bat head.
Patrick
What are the differences between this bat and the regular 2014 Voodoo Paradox? baseballgod19
The major difference between the Voodoo Paradox and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will be the D-Fusion handle on the OVERLORD. It will eliminate more hand sting and vibration. The swing feel will be more comfortable.
Brandon
I'm about 5'6", 5'7" and I use 32". I kind of feel good swinging A 33" but it also feels just a bit too much. What should I go with? frttrfu
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) would be perfect in the 32" 29 oz. at your height and weight.
Brandon
Should I get this bat for my first year of Babe Ruth league? Does this bat have enough power to hit a home run? Nelson Basebal
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) would be a great bat for your first year of Babe Ruth League. The extended barrel length will help provide the power you are seeking.
Brandon
I'm 14 and weigh 117 lbs. I'm looking for the best bat made for power what would it be? What length? Fuller
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features an end loaded swing weight, which is generally preferred by power hitters. It would be a great bat for any player who is on the stronger side and has great bat speed as well. With regard to sizing, you usually want to swing the longest and heaviest bat that you can comfortably control. For more information on the exact length based on your height and weight, check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Tessa
I am 5'2" and weigh 126 lbs. Would this bat be a good fit for me and my travel ball team? NebraskaBraves30
If you are more of a power hitter, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) would be a great option for you to go with. This bat features an end loaded swing weight, which is normally preferred by power hitters. If you are more of a contact hitter, a bat that features a balanced swing weight may be the better option for you. Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 30".
Tessa
I'm 14 years old, and 200 pounds. I've been looking for an end-loaded DeMarini for school, but I usually prefer a composite feel. Should I go for this bat? Or is there another DeMarini I could possibly look for? LeaveYourLegacy52
If you are looking for a bat with an end-load, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC) would be the best choice. The majority of DeMarini's incorporate a balanced design, however, a balanced route would incorporate the full two-piece composite design that you are looking for. For example, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR (DXCFC) has been one of our top selling two-piece full composite designs. This model is balanced, but will also be able to provide great power.
Merritt
I am 5 foot 9 and weigh 190 pounds. What size bat would be good for me? cp_15_
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest a 33 inch model of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Patrick
What is the difference between this bat and the 2014 Voodoo. Which one is more of a power hitter's bat? sean bartro
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features the D-Fusion Handle Technology while the other 2014 (DXVDC) does not. This technology helps transfer energy to the ball more efficiently on contact. Both would be great options for a power hitter, but the OVERLORD is the higher quality model.
Mac
What is the difference between this bat and the new 2015 model? wooglin
The 2015 DeMarini Voodoo Overlord FT uses DeMarini's new X12 alloy for added power. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC) uses DeMarini's X10 alloy.
John
I am 14 years old and just got a BBCOR model of this bat. Is it bpf 1.15 certified? ben
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is BBCOR certified which is different than the 1.15 BPF standard. BBCOR certification restricts the batter ball speed that can be created more than the BPF standard because it is usually used by older stronger kids that need to reduce the performance for safety considerations.
Patrick
Does paint chipping harm the pop of the bat? kenny leiner
Paint chipping is simply going to be a cosmetic blemish that tends to happen after excessive use. As long as the material has not dented or cracked, the bat's performance will be fine. Therefore, if you are experiencing chipping with the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC), this is very normal for many models and will not harm the overall performance.
Merritt
Other than the D-Fusion handle, what are the main differences between the 2014 OVERLORD and 2014 Voodoo Paradox? ben
The D-Fusion handle is the only difference between the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDC) and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo.
Kelby
I am 5 foot 6 inches tall and weigh about 130-135 pounds. This will be my fist year using a BBCOR at. I am deciding between a Vexxum NVS 2014 or the Voodoo Overlord 2014. Which one has more pop? What size should I use? Manny_Galarraga
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest a 31 inch bat. Given that it is your first year using a BBCOR model, normally we would suggest going with a more balanced model like the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC). However, if you prefer an end loaded feel and have good swing speed, you may benefit from the more barrel heavy 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). The "pop" or performance on the bats will be similar because they are both BBCOR certified.
Patrick
I am 5'11" and 160 pounds. I was wondering what size bat would be best for me? Sam Harris
Based on your approximate height and weight, I would suggest 32" in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC).
Merritt
I am 5'10" guy and 150 pounds, but I am not a power hitter. Is this bat top heavy? What bat should I use for quick bat speed, and pop? Sam Nichols
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC) will incorporate a slight end-load. Therefore, if you are looking for something to improve bat speed, the 2014 Easton S3 BBCOR Baseball Bat: (BB14S3) might be a really great choice for you. It will be a little bit stiffer, but the light weight, balanced design, and THT100 Scandium Alloy will give you a lot of great power. The Easton Speed Series was designed to help players generate a faster bat swing, and generate more momentum. Therefore, this model might just fit all of the characteristics that you are looking for in a bat.
Merritt
Is this legal for 13-15 year old Babe Ruth League? frankie
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features the BBCOR stamp and is legal for play in Babe Ruth 13-15 year old division.
Jason
Is this bat good for a power hitter? I am 6' and 190 lbs and I have always used a 32" 29 oz. Is it time for a 33" 30 oz? KSears
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) has an end loaded swing weight and is a terrific bat for a power hitter. Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 33" 30 oz bat.
Jason
I am 5'6" 170 lbs. What length and weight do you recommend? chump
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" 29 oz model in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Jason
My son is about to be 13 years old, weighs 90 lbs and is 4'9". What size bat do you recommended? Barb
Based on the player's approximate height and weight, I would probably suggest 29" in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC).
Merritt
My son is turning 12, is 5', and weighs 80-85 pounds. What bat would you recommend in BBCOR? skidman
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features an end loaded swing weight, which is generally preferred by power hitters. If your son is more a power hitter, this would be a great option for him. If he is more of a contact hitter, going with a balanced model, such as the DeMarini CF6 or the Vexxum are great balanced options to check out. Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 29" bat.
Tessa
I am 5' 9" and 215 pounds. I have always swung a 32" bat, no matter wood or composite. Do you think I should go with 32" or 33"? twins14
We couldn't guarantee that you would like the feel of a 33" model as much as the 32", especially if you've used the 32" with success. 33" would be the recommendation based on your height and weight. If possible, I would recommend trying to demo each size and assess the results you get. Check out DeMarini's Demo House finder: http://www.demarini.com/en-us/forms/demohouse/.
Mac
Where is the weight focused in this bat? Owen
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features an end-loaded design. The weight of the bat is focused to the barrel.
Patrick
I am 14 years old, 5'5" and weigh 90 lbs. I am also more of a contact hitter. Should I still get this bat? I usually swing a 32 inch bat. The king
The average size based on your approximate height and weight would be around 30" in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC). However, if you feel more comfortable swinging a 32", then I would continue to use the same size.
Merritt
Does this bat require a break-in? jewboy10%off
No, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC) will not require a break-in, because the barrel is constructed from alloy material. Therefore, this model will be hot right out of the wrapper and ready for play.
Merritt
I'm 16 years old, 5'7" and 135 pounds. I usually swing a 32" but it feels too light now. Would you recommend a 33" or stick with a 32"? baseball guy
If the 32" feels too light, I would probably suggest moving up to a 33" in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXVDC).
Merritt
I need a bat more for swing speed than pop. What bat would you recommend. I am 5'8'' and about 140 lbs. The Boss
If you are looking for an extremely balanced model to help produce a fast and smooth swing speed, I would probably suggest the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat: (DXCFC). The 2014 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: (BB14MK) would also be a great choice because of the weight distribution, lightness of this model. Both bats will be very easy to generate a fast swing speed, and would fit what you are looking for.
Merritt
I am 5 foot 8 and weigh 186 pounds. Do you suggest a 33 inch size of the CF6? sammy baseball
Based on your height and weigh, the 33 inch size of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) should be a good fit.
Patrick
I have this bat in 32" and the D-Fusion handle is starting to break. What should I do? dj baseball
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is covered under a 12 month manufacturer warranty. You will want to contact DeMarini at 800-937-2287 and start the warranty process.
Jason
I am 5'6", 115 lbs and my 31" bat is starting to feel small. Should I upgrade to a 32"? The Sundevil
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). However, if you think you can handle the bigger size you can certainly jump up to a 32" bat.
Jason
I've seen some pictures of this bat with both a gold & a black grip tape. How do you know which one you will get? Thanks. sammy baseball
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will have gold colored grip tape. If you have seen other grip tape colors, it may have been a Youth or Senior League model, not this BBCOR.
Brandon
I'm 5'9" and 170 lbs. I swing a 32/29 Marucci Black, and I need a new bat. I am a power hitter. Would this or the Easton S3Z be better for me? Sean
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the S3Z are both terrific options for a power hitter. However, the end loaded swing weight featured on the OVERLORD is typically the best feature for a power hitter. The S3Z has a slightly more balanced swing weight.
Jason
I swing a 32/29 and I went to the store and they feel a little light. Should I go up a size to a 33"? I am 5'9" and weigh 133 lbs. panther20
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" model in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). However, if you feel comfortable swinging the bigger size you can certainly jump up the the 33".
Jason
Is the Voodoo OVERLORD better than the CF6? Big A
It really depends on what type of hitter you are to determine which bat is better. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) has an end loaded swing weight and is better for power hitters. The CF6 has a balanced swing weight and is better for contact hitters.
Jason
I have a son who is 14 years old, is about 6'2" tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He is a power hitter and currently swings an Easton BBCOR model that is 32" and 29 ounces. His coach told him that his swing is too fast and that he should consider moving up to a Demarini Voodoo model that is 33" and 30 ounces. What are your thoughts? Jim Pickell
If your son is a power hitter, then moving to the end loaded 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) would be ideal. Characteristics of power hitting means that they are on the stronger side and have no problem generating bat speed. Moving to an end loaded design will add additional mass behind the plate, which (when combined with his fast bat speed) can create additional power overall. Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 33" bat as well.
Tessa
I'm 14 years old, 5'6", and around 140 pounds. I got a Louisville slugger EXOGRID 3 BBCOR a few months ago which was 30" 27 oz. I have grown a lot since then and I was trying to decide over the Overlord or the NVS Vexxum. Which one do you recommend? Cameron
That will be a matter of preference. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features an end loaded swing weight, which is generally preferred by power hitters. The EXOGRID 3 and the Vexxum both feature balanced swing weights, which is normally preferred by contact hitters. If you liked the balanced swing weight of your EXOGRID 3, the Vexxum may be better suited for you. If you are more of a power hitter, than the end loaded OVERLORD may be something to take into consideration. It will depend on what type of bat best suits your hitting style.
Tessa
Is this bat a -3? almeida
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will be a -3.
Brandon
I'm a 5 foot 10, 180 pound, power hitter. What size of this bat should I get? iggy
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest using a 33 inch size of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Patrick
What is the difference between this bat and the 2015 overlord? (beside the looks) Landon
The 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD will feature an upgraded, X12 alloy compared to the 2014 model. The 2015 will also have a stiffer D-Fusion handle for a more responsive feel.
Kelby
I am a line drive hitter. Would this be a better bat to use then the DeMarini Voodoo Paradox? baseball is life
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the Voodoo Paradox are very similar bats. They both feature end loaded swing weights and are made out of the same materials. The OVLERLORD is the newer version of the bat though and features the D-Fusion handle. The D-Fusion handle helps eliminate vibration and increase the sweet spot.
Jason
I am 13 years old, 5'7" and 125 pounds. What size bat do you suggest I get? I am a line drive hitter but can hit for power too. Michael
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Tessa
What is the difference from the DeMarini CF6 BBCOR to the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR? hektor
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will have an alloy barrel and feel end loaded throughout the swing. The CF6 will have a composite barrel and feel much more balanced during the swing.
Brandon
What is the difference between the X10 Alloy and the X12 Alloy? Also, how will the stiffer D-Fusion handle help hitters with the 2015 DeMarini Voodoo Overlord FT? Matt
The X12 alloy will be slightly more durable compared to the X10 alloy. The D-Fusion handle will help the hitter swing more comfortably. It will help eliminate more hand sting and vibration. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the 2015 model would be a great choice for any BBCOR hitter.
Brandon
I have an Easton S4 bat right now. If I were to switch to the DeMarini, would the difference be hard to adjust to? Or are the feel of DeMarini and Easton somewhat close? Thanks. Hemp
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will have more of an extended barrel length compared to the Easton S4. It will make the OVERLORD feel more barrel heavy compared to the more balanced S4 model.
Brandon
Will it be hard for me to switch from an Easton XL3, 31", -5, to the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR? Should I get a 32"or 33"? I will be 15 years old and weigh 120 lbs. I am 5'10" and a freshman. JJ
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will swing a lot like the Easton XL3 model. They both will have extended barrel lengths and an end loaded feel. At your size a 32" would be recommended.
Brandon
Is this bat endloaded? Chan
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) has an endloaded swing weight.
John
I'm currently using a 33" Marucci Team and thinking about switching to the DeMarini Voodoo or the 2015 Easton S3Z ZCORE. What one would have the most similar swing to the Marucci Team and what size would you suggest? Im 5'11" 220 lb and a freshman. Parker
The Marucci Team will have a balanced swing weight while the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will have more of an end loaded swing weight. The Easton S3Z ZCore will be the most similar in swing weight and design to the Marucci Team. Both the S3Z and the Team will be a one-piece all alloy design. For your height and weight we would recommend a 33".
John
My son is 13. He is 5' 9". He weighs 160. What size drop 3 do you recommend? He is in 8th grade baseball. diaz
Based on his height and weight, we would recommend a 32" BBCOR model for your son. He's likely between a 32" and 33". So if he could try out a friend or teammates' 33" BBCOR model, that may give you better insight into whether the jump up is feasible.
Mac
How does this compare to the older Voodoo Paradox? I am a 5 foot 8 150 pound 13 year old. I currently swing a -5 32 inch XL1 with ease and I am looking for a heavier bat. What length and bat would you recommend? Jakobs
A BBCOR bat like the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) would be a heavier option that you could transition into. Based on your height and weight we would recommend a 32 inch size still but it will be 2 ounces heavier and slightly more end-loaded than your XL1. The OVERLORD is different from the Voodoo Paradox due to the enhanced D-fusion handle. This handle helps regulate the flex and provides better sting and vibration protection for the player making for a more comfortable and controllable swing.
Patrick
I am a 6 foot 1, 195 pound 17 year old. What size bat would you recommend for me? ebaseball
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest a 33 inch size of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Patrick
I am 6' and 235 lbs. What should I swing that also gives me more power behind it? C4
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 33" model in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). The Voodoo OVERLORD has an end loaded swing weight and is great for increasing a players power. The extra mass in the barrel is great for a power hitter.
Jason
I am 5'5" and 105 lbs. What size in the OVERLORD and the Vexxum should I get? What other bats could you recommend me? BK
At your current size, a 31" 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) or Vexxum bat would be ideal. Also, if you like the feel of the OVERLORD, try the 2015 Louisville Slugger Select 715 BBCOR. All three would be great selections!
Brandon
Is the Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR almost exactly the same to the Easton XL1 BBCOR? Also, if I got this bat in a 32" would a 33" Voodoo Paradox be almost exactly the same besides the vibration? bansitnation13
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will feature an alloy barrel and slightly less end load than the Easton XL1 BBCOR (BB15X1). The XL1 features the composite barrel. No, the 33" Voodoo Paradox would still feel heavier than the 32" Voodoo OVERLORD. The Voodoo OVERLORD and Paradox will feature the same swing weight.
Tom
Does the Voodoo OVERLORD have the same taper ring in the barrel that the Voodoo Paradox has? cwhite_98
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) has the same taper ring that the Voodoo Paradox has.
Jason
What's the best bat for me? I'm 5'7" and 140 lbs. nick
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features an end loaded swing weight, so if you are a power hitter, then this would be a great choice. If you are more of a contact hitter, then I would recommend looking at a model that features a balanced swing weight, such as the DeMarini Vexxum. Without knowing your hitting style, it is tough to recommend which would be the best bat for you. Generally, you want to swing a bat that best compliments your hitting style. Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model.
Tessa
How does this bat compare to the Easton MAKO BBCOR in terms of swing weight? Which is top heavy? Bryan
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is an end loaded bat and swings heavier than the MAKO. The Easton MAKO is a balanced bat and is one of the lighter swinging BBCOR bats.
Jason
I am 6'0" and 150 lbs. What is the best bat size for me? rcart
Based on your height and weight I would suggest a 33" bat.
Jake
At what point would you recommend using a 34 inch bat of either this bat or the Voodoo Paradox? PwrHttr
A bigger power hitter would generally prefer a 34 inch size of end-loaded bats like the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) or the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). In general, players below 6 feet tall would not use a 34 inch BBCOR bat much less an end-loaded model.
Patrick
I am 6 feet tall but weigh 120 pounds. I am a contact hitter with some power who's power alley is right center. Is this a good bat for me? If so, what size do you recommend? I am 15 and in 9th grade. I have used the CF5 BBCOR size 32 inch. jpfitz630
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) would be more barrel heavy than a CF5 and would generally work better for a power hitter style player. The end-loaded feel makes it tougher to swing so contact hitters would not usually benefit from the added weight. Based on your height and weight, 32 inches is a good length but it may be better to stick with a balanced bat like the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC).
Patrick
Does the Voodoo Overlord or the Voodoo Paradox have a feel more like the previous Voodoos like the 2012 all white BBCOR model, and the 2013 red and black model? Mike
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) would have a more similar feel to the older Voodoo models than the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) because the D-Fusion handle featured in the OVERLORD model that changes the feel.
Patrick
I am 6'2 and weigh 170lbs, im a major power hitter and im in 9th grade, would this bat be a good one for me? And if so what size? brock
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is an ideal bat for the aspiring power hitter. The DXVDC features a paradox composite handle with an Aerospace grade X10 alloy barrel, as well as a slight end-load. For a player of your size, our bat coach recommends a 33"30 oz. bat.
Joe
I'm 5'10", 160lbs, I was wondering if I should use a 33 or 32 inch? Dylan
For the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) our bat coach recommends a 32" bat for a player of your size.
Joe
Is the XL1 similar to the DeMarini Voodoo Overlord in terms of swing weight and barrel size? Dave
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the 2014 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB14X1) are going to have a similar swing weight, however the XL1 is going to be slightly more end loaded with a slightly longer barrel.
Allison
My son plays Babe Ruth and is a great hitter. He is 115 lbs and 5'6", would this drop 3 be right for him? He used a drop 8 last year and was much shorter then. Diane
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is designed for high-school and college players. Typically, we don't recommend dropping from a drop 8 to a drop 3, unless high-school play is imminent. An alternative would be the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD Senior League Baseball Bat (DXVD5) which is offered in the same 2 5/8" barrel diameter as the DXVDC. The difference is that the DXVD5 is a drop 5, which we would typically recommend for his size.
Joe
I am a 5'4" boy and I am deciding between the BBCOR Paradox or Overlord. Do they have the same swing weight? elliot
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo Senior League Baseball Bat (DXVDR) have the same swing weight. They both have the extended barrel which gives them a slight end load. The only difference is the D-Fusion handle on the Overlord.
Allison
I am 14 and am a decent power hitter. Which bat would be better for me to use, the Demarini Voodoo OVERLORD or the Marucci Black? bigred
The biggest difference between the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the 2014 Marucci Black BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBB14) is that the OVERLORD has an extended barrel which makes for a slightly end-loaded swing weight. Whereas, the Marruci Black does have the extended barrel design, but has a balanced swing weight instead. Typically power hitters prefer an end-loaded swing weight, but it is up to your personal preference.
Liz
I'm a 6'1" baseball player. What should my bat length be? What is your bat preference for high school? Gucci Guwop
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is definitely a bat I always recommend for high school and college ball. It is very high performing! The best bat length for this model would be a 32" or 33" for a player at your height.
Brandon
Is the knob flared like the voodoo paradox? Also, does it come in 34"? Chair
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will feature an RCK knob, as well as a D-Fusion Handle for vibration elimination. It will not be as flared as the Paradox. We currently do not carry the DXVDC in a 34" pattern.
Joe
Which has a bigger sweet spot: the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD or the DeMarini CF6? Dave
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVDC and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will have similar barrel lengths and feature D-Fusion Handle Technology that will eliminate vibration and extend the sweet spot in both bats. The sweet spots in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 will be extremely similar.
Ben
I am a 5' 7" sophomore that weighs 205. What size bat should I swing? Miles
We would recommend a 33" in the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) for a player with your height and weight.
John
Does this bat have a similar feel to an easton xl3 2012 model ricky
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is a two piece hybrid and has a D Fusion Handle. While the Easton XL3 is going to be a one-piece full alloy. Both items are going to be end loaded and designed for power hitters.
Frankie
What's the difference between the Voodoo OVERLORD and the normal Voodoo? Aball1
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features the D-Fusion Handle Technology that eliminates vibration and transfers energy more efficiently to the ball on contact. Aside from that technology, the two 2014 Voodoo models are made from the same materials.
Mac
I am 5'8" tall and I swing a 31 inch 26 oz. bat. Would you recommend the 32 inch 29 oz. for me? mac
Using our Bat Coach, we recommend using a 31" 28 oz. model if you weigh 140 lbs. and under. If you weigh 141 lbs. and over, we recommend using the 32" 29 oz. model.
Tom
I am a line drive hitter and I wanted to know if the Voodoo OVERLORD or the regular DeMarini Voodoo would be a good choice for a line drive hitter? KMILLS10
I would recommend the using the DeMarini Voodoo instead of the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). The balanced swing weight of the Voodoo is better suited for a line drive contact hitter.
Tom
What will help you with your bat speed better the Voodoo Overload or the Voodoo Paradox? mikethike
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will feature a two-piece hybrid design with a composite handle and alloy barrel. Additionally it will offer a slight end-load. Typically, we recommend a two-piece well-balanced bat to increase bat speed through the zone. This is because the two-piece bats allow for more flex, than a stiffer one-piece bat. There are quite a few well-balanced two-piece bats available on our website, however two that you might take a look at are the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) and the 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK).
Joe
What is the difference between this bat and the Voodoo Paradox besides the D-fusion handle? nickpik
The D-Fusion handle is the main difference between the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). Other than that they are extremely similar by design.
Patrick
Does this bat and the Voodoo paradox have the same sound when you hit the ball? johnp
The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) are both two piece hybrid bats with alloy barrels so they will both have more of a "ping" sound.
Tom
Does this bat have a break-in period? Big Mac
The alloy barrel in the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will allow the bat to be hot right out of the wrapper. There will be no necessary break-in period for this bat.
Ben
I live in Colorado and am obviously going to play in cold weather. Is this bat okay for the cold weather? Or is there another bat that you would recommend for the cold and warm weather? I am interested in Easton bats and DeMarini bats. Big Man
We do not recommend using the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) or any bat below 55 degrees because the walls of the bats become more dense and are prone to being damaged.
Liz
Is this a bat for high school baseball? Brady
Yes, the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is BBCOR certified and approved for high school and college play.
Tom
What if the indentations annoy you on the sweet spot, and you have already used the bat? Does that mean I just have to use it? jeff
Sorry to hear about the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) being uncomfortable. We do not accept used bats back here unfortunately. Please let us know if you ever have any other questions!
Brandon
My son is 5'10 and 220 pounds. He is a power hitter. He is swinging a 33/30 and is in 9th grade. He has a DeMarini CF5 right now and we are looking to buy the 2015 Voodoo. Do you recommend this bat for him or something else? D
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) would be an ideal bat for a power hitter. The composite handle gives it a stiffer feel, and the alloy barrel allows for virtually no break in period.
Chinyere
I'm in Junior high school and playing baseball I am a contact hitter but can hit with a lot of power, would this bat be good for me? john
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) has an end loaded swing weight that is recommended for power hitters. Since this bat is a two piece hybrid, it will have a little more flex than a one piece that will be perfect for a hitter of your caliber.
Tom
I just bought this bat in the 33" 30 oz. model. I haven't used it yet but whenever I shake it I can hear a little ball or something moving around inside the barrel. I was wondering if this is normal? Yak City
For an unused DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC), that does not sound like something that should be happening. We do not handle any of the defective bats, the manufacturers handle that directly. I have put DeMarini's warranty phone number below. DeMarini: (800) 937-2287
Liz
I live in New England and High school baseball starts while there still is freezing weather. I was wondering if I could use this bat because it has an aluminium barrel. If not, then what bat would you recommend for cold weather? Cold Baseball
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) that you inquired about won't necessarily perform better in cold weather than a composite bat. The issue is that cold temperatures actually make the materials composing the baseball more dense. These bats are not rated to hit an object that dense, so they tend to dent or crack more as a result. For cold-weather practice, we recommend using a wood bat, which tends to be more durable in that weather as well as quite a bit cheaper to replace. If you have to play with your game bat in cold weather, the key is to minimize exposure.
Joe
Which bat has the bigger barrel between the 2014 Easton Mako or the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD? ball player
Both the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB14MK) will feature a 2 5/8" barrel diameter. The MAKO will feature a slightly longer barrel and sharper barrel taper.
Joe
Is this Voodoo more balanced than the new 2015 version? I swung that bat last night at a bat demo and did not like how top heavy it was. goflames2
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features the same end load that the 2015 Voodoo OVERLORD FT has. Both Voodoo options will swing the same, and one will not be more balanced than the other.
Jason
Would a 32" be good for me? I am 15, 5'9 136 lbs and play jv baseball. thomas
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" model in the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Jason
Should I use a 33 inch bat? I am 5 foot 11 and weigh 180 pounds. adog
Based on height and weight, I would say that you should use a 33 inch size of the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Patrick
My son is 13 years old, 5' 6" around 125 lbs. and pretty strong. What size would be a good fit for him? Jackman
I would recommend using the 32" 29 oz. model in the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Tom
I am 5' 5" 140lbs. and 13 years old. I am mostly a power hitter but i can hit for contact. Would this be a good bat for me and what size do you recommend? m&m
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) would be a great choice for you. It is a two piece hybrid with an end loaded swing weight. Based on your size, I would recommend using the 32" 29 oz. model.
Tom
I am 15, 5'11" and weigh 155 lbs. I am a contact hitter and deciding between the OVERLORD and Paradox. Do you have any suggestions? Right Field BOY
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the Voodoo Paradox are the same bat with the same end loaded swing weight. The only difference between the bats is the addition of the D-Fusion handle on the OVERLORD. Each bat will perform the same, but the D-Fusion handle is a nice addition and helps eliminate vibration.
Jason
I am 14 and about 5' 5" and I hit mostly doubles and triples but not many home runs. I am more of a power hitter. Is this a good bat for me? Mik
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is an excellent bat for power hitters. The OVERLORD has an end loaded swing weight and is typically preferred by power hitters.
Jason
What would be the minimum and maximum temperatures for use of this bat? dav
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is best used in temperatures over 55 degrees. It does not have a maximum temperature for use.
Jason
Is this bat extremly, mildly, or slightly end loaded? base
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features a slightly end loaded swing weight.
Mac
I'm 5'11", 150 lbs, would a 32 inch be a good fit? Dylan
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Jason
Is there a certain temperature that the bat can't be used? irish
Yes, we do not recommend using any bat, including the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) in temperatures below 55 degrees. In those colder temperatures, regulation baseballs actually become more dense. So when they make contact with the bat, this can cause more damage to the barrel than in warmer temperatures.
Tessa
My son is 5'6" 125-130 lbs. Could he handle the 32" bat? He swings a 31" bat now. Scott
If your son's bat speeds are very good with the 31" I think he would be OK to move up to a 32" DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Jake
I am 5'5, weigh 115 lbs and mainly a contact hitter. I've been wanting to go up to the 32" bat but am unsure if this bat would be a good fit for me? If not, what bat would you recommend? Terry
For a contact hitter your size that is looking to go up in bat size usually prefers a two-piece designed bat that has a balance swing weight. The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is going to be a two-piece bat but has a slight end-load swing weight to it, so this may not be the best option. I would suggest the 2015 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) that features a two-piece design and has a balanced swing weight.
Liz
Which bat is better, this or the Cat 6? bdeville
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features a two-piece hybrid design with a composite handle and an alloy barrel. Additionally, it features an end-loaded swing weight and the D-Fusion handle, which does a great job of absorbing most of the shock and vibration traveling through the handle. The 2015 Marucci CAT 6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBC614) features a one-piece full alloy model with a balanced swing weight and a ring-free barrel. Typically, two piece models help generate faster bat speeds, however we would recommend an end-load for a power hitter.
Joe
I am 5'9" 195 lbs and a power hitter. Should I consider a 32" or 33" bat? I swing a 32" now. tparker12
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" model in the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Jason
What do you prefer the 2014 or the 2015. I used the 2015 down in Florida for a tournament, and the ball just flew off the bat. Pete
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVDC and the OVERLORD FT are very similar bats. It is tough to say one is much better than the other. The only difference is the 2015 OVERLORD FT has new X12 alloy in the barrel compared to the X10 alloy in the 2014 model. The new alloy is really for increasing durability and will not necessarily change the performance of the bat.
Jason
I'm 5'8" and 145lbs. What size should I use? scoochie
Based on your height and weight, the suggested length for you the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is 32 inches.

I'm 5'11" and 150 lbs. and a contact hitter. I currently swing a 2012 voodoo 33" model. Would you recommend me staying with a 33" or going down to a 32"? Joe
For a player of your size, our bat coach recommends the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) in a 32" 29 oz. model. Since the Overlord features a slight end-load, we would recommend moving down to the 32" model.
Joe
I am a 6", 205 lbs. sophomore. What length and weight would you recommend? jjsilvs
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" 30 oz. DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Tessa
Specifications on the bat and the size I should be swinging? saurelio11
The bat size you should be using would be based on your height and weight. Which bat you should be using would be based on play style as well as your own personal preferences. For instance, this DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) would normally be used by a power hitter style player who likes an end-loaded feel.
Patrick
Should I use my bat in cold temperatures ? trey craig
I would recommend not using your DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) in temperatures much colder than 55 degrees. The baseball becomes much denser and harder in colder temperatures and the bats are not designed to handle the harder baseball.
Jake
My son is 5 foot 7 and weighs 210 pounds. He just turned 13 and he is growing fast. What size DeMarini BBCOR bat should he get? JOEY BASEBALL
Base on height and weight, we would recommend a 33 inch size of the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).

Joe
Is there a major difference between the 2014 and 2015 bats? Tony
The major difference between the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is the upgraded flame tempered material that gives the 2015 model more of a trampoline effect.
Allison
Which bat is more end-loaded, this one or the 2014 Rip-It Prototype? jrod
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will have a slightly more end-loaded feel than the RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1403) but it would be close and could feel differently to different players.
Patrick
Which bat is more end loaded? This one, or the 2014 RIP-IT Prototype? jrod
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will have more of an end load compared to the RIP-IT bat line.
Brandon
A friend of mine has a 32" and really likes it. I personally swing a 31", but I see that JustBats.com doesn't offer it, nor any other sites on the internet. Why is this? Andrew
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is a 2014 model so when we sell out of a particular length we will not get anymore in stock. We do have a 31" 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) in stock.
Jake
What is the difference between the 2014 Voodoo paradox and the 2014 Voodoo overlord? grahamcracker
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is going to have a D Fusion handle that is going to help eliminate vibration through the bat and create a larger sweet spot on the bat. The DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) does not include this feature.
Frankie
What is the lightest bat to use for power hitters? jrod
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features a two piece hybrid design with a composite handle and an alloy barrel. Typically power hitters prefer an end-load model or a one piece model due to the additional stiffness through the zone.
Joe
Where is the BBCOR Certified stamp on the bat? Jacob
The BBCOR Certification Stamp on the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is located near the bottom of the barrel, closest to the handle.
Tom
What is the warranty on this bat? carlos
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features a full 12 month manufacturer's warranty.
Joe
I just purchased the Voodoo OVERLORD. It feels to me like there a ripple between the M and the A. Is this normal or is this a problem? Ryry
I don't believe that is a common feature found on the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). It could be something to give DeMarini's warranty department about. Their direct number is 1-800-937-2287.
Brandon
This bat or 2015 Louisville Slugger Omaha 515? Joe
It really depends on what type of hitter you are to determine which option is best for you. The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) has an end loaded swing weight and is typically best for a power hitter. The Omaha 515 is a balanced bat and is typically best for contact hitters.
Jason
What one piece model would have a similar end load? Noah
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) features a two piece hybrid design with an alloy barrel, and a composite handle. Additionally, it does offer an end loaded swing weight. If you were looking for a one piece model with an end loaded swing weight, we would recommend the RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1403).
Joe
What is the D-FUSION HANDLE and what does it do for a player? dyl
The D-Fusion technology is included in the Paradox Composite handle of this DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). This D-Fusion technology is designed to eliminate vibration from reaching a player's hands on a miss-hit and simultaneously extend the size of the sweet spot in the barrel.
Ben
How does this bat compare to the 2015 Mako BBCOR? hayden
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK) are both very nice options but comparing them is hard because they are so different. The MAKO is a two-piece fully composite design that is balanced. The Voodoo Overlord is a hybrid design with an alloy barrel and composite handle that is end-loaded. The preference between the two would come down to which style and feel you like more.
Patrick
When will you guys get some more of 31 inch/28 ounce models? baseball
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is a closeout bat, and we are out of stock in the 31" models.
Chinyere
How long is the barrel compared to the Easton XL1 and what's the average life of these types of bats? Nathan
The Easton XL1 has a slightly longer barrel than the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). The Voodoo OVERLORD is a two piece hybrid bat that features an alloy barrel that will have hot out of the wrapper performance. It's hard to estimate the life span of a bat due to many different variables, but with proper care it could last a few seasons.
Tom
Do I have to break in this bat? moi
No, the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will be game ready right out of the wrapper.
John
Is this bat good when it is cold (45°) outside? baseball32
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) does have an alloy barrel, which will be better to use in the cold weather than a composite barrel. The 45 degree weather can still potentially be damaging to this bat.
Frankie
Will this bat have a similar end load to the Easton XL2? logibear
Yes, the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) has a very similar feel and end load compared to the Easton XL2.
Jason
I am 6 foot and 145 pounds, what size should I be using? sticks
Based on your height and weight I recommend getting the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) in a 33 inch.
Frankie
Why can't I find a 33 voodoo overlord? Luke
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) has been discontinued, and we are sold out of the 33" model. You could consider the DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) in the 33" model as the only difference between that model and the newer ones is the addition of a D-Fusion handle and an upgraded barrel alloy.
Joe
What is the performance difference between composite and alloy barrels that are BBCOR certified? I am looking for an end-loaded bat like the Overlord but considering the XL1 and other composite end-loaded bats. Does the BBCOR standard "level the playing field" in the end? Am I just paying more for a composite that performs the same anyway? agimd
At their very best, the composite barrel bats like the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) and alloy barrel bats like the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will perform to around the same level. Some design aspects would be the difference maker. Alloy barrel bats are hot out of the wrapper and do not require any break-in to perform. Composite barrel bats will need a short break-in period (usually 100-150 swings of soft toss or tee work while rotating the barrel) to reach the performance potential you would want. The trade off is that while alloy bats tend to dull or dent over time and lose performance, composite bats will get hotter and hotter over time until they eventually fail. The way they age differently allows composite bats to usually last in their peak performance longer than alloy barrel bats do. So to sum up, not necessarily "better" performance but more sustained and consistent performance over time.
Patrick
I'm 5'7 110 pounds. I love the end loaded feel. What size and weight would you suggest for me? Tyler 27
We would recommend a 32" model for your height and weight.
Damon
Does this bat have a one year warranty? logan gillespie
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVDC) comes with a 12 month manufacturer warranty. This replaces the bat if it becomes damaged.
Frankie
My 12 year old son just got a 31/22 bat. He's a solid hitter - not a big home run hitter - do you think this is a good fit for him? Or should he look at a more balanced bat? Also, he is 5'2" and weighs 111 - does that length/weight sound correct? Thanks! kristi
The length sounds fine. The weight really depends on the hitter, but it is probably wise to begin moving to a -8 because he will have to use a -3 by the time he gets to high school. The DeMarini Overlord is an end loaded bat, so if he is not a power hitter and is moving up in weight you might consider something more balanced like the DeMarini CF6 or CF7.
Damon
I am 6 foot 2 and weigh 160 pounds and I am not really a power hitter. I am starting my college career this upcoming season and have always used a Voodoo and want to buy one for myself. I have never used this model but do you think it will be okay for me even though it is said to be for power hitters? E24
While the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) is a more typical choice for power hitter style players, it can be used by players who do not necessarily hit for power if they like a more end-loaded feel. If you have always used a Voodoo, I would think that this model would have a similar feel to what you are used to and could work well.
Patrick
what is better for a power hitter in seventh grade the voodoo raw or the voodoow overlord baseball home run hitter 03
The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) and the 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). As far as which one would be better suited for a power hitter, I would suggest the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Cameron
I have this bat and it is a great bat but I can't tell if I have to break it in more. Sometimes when I hit the ball it feels great and other times when I do it really doesn't feel like it has any pop. Is that bat dead? homerumhitter
Depending on where the ball hits the barrel of the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) they may not be hitting the sweet spot. If you hit off the end or near the taper, the ball will not react the same as in the sweet spot of the barrel. If you feel that the bat has become defective, it would be best to contact the manufacturer so they can try to test the bat to verify what the issue is and possibly replace it for you.
Patrick
My son is a freshman in high school and is 5'2 145 lbs. What size would you recommend? Can you tell me which would you recommend, the 2014 or 2015 VOODOO OVERLORD? kim
Based on your son's height and weight, we would recommend getting the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVDC in a 31 inch 28 oz. model. As for which model year to get, would suggest getting the 2014 model of the VOODOO OVERLORD if it's still in stock in the size/weight you need.
Cameron
My son is a freshman he is a contact hitter. He is about 5'2 145lbs. Which bat would you recommend? He was looking at the voodoo overlord but from what i am reading that is more for power hitters. Please recommend the best bbcor bat. Thanks! KR
For a person who is more of a contact hitter, we would recommend going with a two-piece bat that will feature a balanced design. BBCOR bats to consider that will feature these characteristics would be the 2016 DeMarini CF8 BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCFC and the 2016 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVXC.
Cameron

The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVDC in a 33 inch 30 oz model is more than likely going to be too big (depending on height and weight) for a 14 year old. Most players who swing the slightly end-loaded swing weight featured in the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVDC will be roughly 5'6" and about 155 lbs.
Cameron
I'm 5'7" and weigh 150 lbs. What size should I get ? tyler Ruff
For a player of your height and weight, I would recommend going with the DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXVDC in the 32" 29 oz. size,

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
