Pros: A very "balanced" bat! Equivalent to the "Surge" as far as weight distribution is concerned. In no way is it "End Loaded" Has an excellent "Pop". Very pleased with this bat as far as performance is concerned. Your kid will not be disappointed if a balanced bat is what your looking for
Cons: Graphics is "Sick" looking may not want you to swing it! Best looking bat by far!
Pros: Amazing and very cool looking bat. My son is crushing the ball every time he's up to the plate. Worth every penny!
Cons: None.
Pros: This bat is awesome...bought it for my grandson...He's always been a good hitter but ball is getting hit harder and going further..HE LOVES THIS BAT!!!
Cons: NOTHING!
Pros: Bought this bat (29"/16oz) as a gift for my son who already has a (28"/15oz)2011 Voodoo and I could tell a difference right away. First thing I noticed was that this bat sounds like a fire cracker but the best part is that it isn't all bark he is hitting it noticeably further. His coaches couldn't help but say wow at the next practice at how well and far he was driving the ball. Worth every penny!
Cons: none yet, aside from the other boys wanting to use it.
Pros: Swings Easy, lots of pop. It is a fun bat to hit with. Only used it a few games and had several to the fence.
Cons: None
Pros: Just bought this bat for my 9yr old son. This bat is top of the line from fit to finish. Bought 29"16oz. Great pop -- Great grip. Also has an awsome sound!! It has that beautiful ping sound. You will not go wrong with this bat....I doubt we will see a review under 5 stars. Highly recommend!
Cons: None
Pros: I just bought the 28"-15 oz for my 6.5 year old son. He has always hit the ball hard but it seemed like the ball should jump off his old bat better. The new voo doo has given him that extra pop! His line drives are rockets and the pop ups carry further too. This is my first review ever! I had to pass the word to another dad. I know the bat doesn't make the batter but it makes them better!!
Cons: NONE so far. Great bat!
Pros: Light and well balanced, with big sweet spot and pop. Stepped up from Louisville Slugger Omaha for my 8-year old son and noticed immediate difference in both batting practice and games. Ball sounds great off the bat and travels farther, and bat looks great as well. Spend the extra money and get the voodoo; you won't be disappointed.
Cons: None. Wish I would have bought this bat sooner.
Pros: best bat ever! really good pop. well balanced. looks cool too. ball explodes off this bat.
Cons: none what so ever
Pros: Awesome bat!!!!! got the 30" 17oz. sounds great and very balanced. good pop too. it has a giant sweetspot and looks awesome.
Cons: nothing. best bat!!!!!!
Pros: this is the best bat ever! I got my son the 30" 17oz. he's driving the ball each at-bat. this bat sounds great and looks cool. and it also has a huge sweetspot. very balanced. amazing pop. worth every penny.
Cons: none. awesome bat! everyone wants to use it!
Pros: This is a really great bat, Very happy with it so far. It was worth the extra money I paid for it. My 9 year old Son hits even further than he did with his old bat. Most of his friends want to use his bat.
Cons: None
Pros: This is my favorite bat I have ever used in all my years of baseball. It has good pop, awesome graphics, sounds great, and has an extremely large sweetspot. spend the extra money and BUY THIS BAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: NONE! BEAST BAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: just got this bat today. It has very nice grip, excellent pop, and has a system on top of the bat so you hit all parts of the bat equally.
Cons: The bat seems too cool and impressive looking to use!!!
Pros: love the bat. Picked it up for my son who just turned 9. Went with the Voodoo because it was a -13 and wanted the extra length to help cover the plate. He absolutely loves it! Thanks so much!
Cons: Awesome paint scheme that you don't want to use the bat and get it dirty!!!
Pros: I recently purchased this bat for my 10yr old son and he loves it. I took him out to the batting cages the day after he received & right out of the box he was hitting as if he had had it for quite a while. He said he loves this more than the new CF5. Great service as well!!!!
Cons: None, except that this bat is so nice looking he didn't want to use it at first.
Pros: Love the way it looks and swing speed is crazy quick. My team mates have hit solid line drives with it also. The ball pops off the sweet spot with a bang contact is undeniable loud
Cons: none
Pros: Our league restricts full composite bats, this one satisfies their restrictions. Lightweight allowing bat to be an inch longer for more plate coverage.
Cons: Can't think of any
Pros: awesome has unbelievable pop first time i hit with it i new it was good
Cons: what do you think
Pros: best bat i hit
Cons: awesome feel
Pros: great bat! has great pop and the ball bounces right off it! beast paint job!
Cons: everyone wants to use it
Pros: Very Nice Bat. I Would Highly Recommend!
Cons:
Pros: We bought the bat 2 weeks ago and my son has yet to put it down. Great weight and feel. He has been doing much better at batting practice and went 3/3 on our last game. Very happy with bat performance so far. Graphics are pretty sweet too.
Cons: Everyone wants to use it
Pros: Bought 29/16 bat to help my son improve his bat speed. ( He was using a 30/18 big barrel. Too long & heavy) Immediately we saw an improvement in his swing speed. Not behind the ball anymore. Have only used it in batting cages. Can't wait to see it in a game. Great ping sound! Cool graphics!
Cons: A little pricey
Pros: this is the best bat ever!!!! every body wants one. i love this bat.
Cons: none
Pros: Got this bat for my son who is a small 9 year old. I purchased the 29/16 model after last years 28/15 wasn't heavy enough to work through the harder thrown balls. this years version has more pop than last years model and really rewards the contact hitter with a harder hit ball. Even when he's faced faster pitching, the line drives are hit over the inf's head instead of at them, the ground balls have more sizzle and are harder to field, and even when he mis-hits and pops it up, it goes farther and higher. If you have a smallish kid or averaged size kid who has a beautiful swing, BUY THIS BAT! It's worth every penny. If your kid is bigger than most and is a power hitter, I would recommend a bat with a lower drop. (-11 or -10)
Cons: None
Pros: This bat is a beast. It sounds like a firecracker going off. My son absoutely loves it. Do yourself (or your child) a favor and buy this bat!!
Cons:
Pros: great paint job.
Cons: none
Pros: to many to type
Cons: there are none
Pros: great bat i love it so much has a lot of pop cant wait till the season
Cons:
Pros: This Bat by Far is worth every dollar, we bought the bat because of the -13 /29 . Weight distribution is great and the bat has a nice sweet spot. You will not regret buying the Voodoo , The composite material on the handle doesn't give my son that "shock" effect when hitting those inside and outside pitches!! He loves it and so does the rest of the team!!!
Cons: My son doesn't get called by his first name anymore. They call him the "VOODOO!"
Pros: Just doit great bat changed my sons life in a weekend!!!!
Cons: none
Pros: Simply the best bat on the market. I bought this bat for my 8 year old 28/15 and he is simply cracking the ball with unreal bat speed. Ball is flying faster than the composites. Buy this bat!
Cons: None
Pros: Sick bat. Has very good pop. I bought 30 in 17 oz . Already feel pop in there. Beast bat!!!! Buy this bat, you won't regret it!
Cons: Nothing but everyone wants to use it!!!
Pros: 9 Y/O son loved the look and feel of the bat.
Cons: The bat split after a few days of regular use. He had 2 practices, 1 hour of BP, and 1 game - and he then realized that the bat was split with the center of the split being between the top of the handle and bottom of the barrel. Very disappointed in this product with the amount of money spent. Read other reviews of possible DeMarini bats splitting and chose to hope it wouldn't happen. I strongly advise to stay away from this bat and other DeMarini bats until they figure out what the problem is and rectify it.
Pros: I bought this 32/19 bat for my 9 year old son. he loves this bat. he said it is better balenced than the easton. tis is the bat to buy
Cons: nothing so far
Pros: Bat is just okay,..
Cons: Stay away from DeMarini, customer service is very poor. Had some issues with my bat and they keep give me the run around. Stick with Easton.
Pros: Best epic bat ever invented looks like a flippin monster for crying out loud!!!
Cons: NONE!!! DUGH!!!
Pros: its the best bat ever!!!!!!! i love it its amazing.it has so much pop and huge sweet spot
Cons: nothing yet only the bat is to good lol !!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Good pop Consistent across barrel So far so good, still only a few weeks old, will see in a month or so if it deserves a 5 STAR, too early to tell right now.
Cons: Still get stung occasionly.
Pros: Bought the 32"/19oz for my 5"4 150lb 11 yr old. All I can say is..its a monster..The bat too..not just my son. The ball explodes of this bat. Simple contact and the bat does the rest. You wont believe it until you swing this bad boy for yourself. Its worth every penny. DeMarini does it again.
Cons: None. Well maybe that every kid on the team wants to use it..and maybe that the paint is so wicked i hate to scratch it.
Pros: My son is playing AAA this year. He is ten years old. He loves this bat. It doesn't sting, and he's been hitting a lot better.
Cons:
Pros: great pop out of wrapper. My son got as a birthday present
Cons: paint chips
Pros: bought this for my 7 year old..28/15 lots of pop like advertised best bat to date whole team uses it
Cons: sick graphics as you can see
Pros: Wicked looking bat. Immediately gave my son extra confidence when he held it. Very balanced and lightweight which helped my son's bat speed. Ready to go out of the box but seemed really seasoned after a couple of weeks. He is 8 years old, tall for his age but not very strong or would have gotten the big barrel option. Chose the 30" length due to his height. Has held up really good so far. Definitely recommend highly.
Cons: Almost too good looking to use.
Pros: i got this bat for my son 31 18 and he has been killing the ball during practice i cant wait till a game to see him
Cons: none
Pros: This bat is great it has a good pop. Before I got the bat I was mainly hitting ground balls. Now with the bat I usually drive it to left center. I love the design on the bat.
Cons: The price is a little high but its worth it.
Pros: Best thing i ever did to improve my 11 year old sons swing was buying this bat ! OMG what a difference in his swing ! Now he feels more confident than ever. THAT IS WHAT I WAS HOPING TO DO ! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH !
Cons: CANT THINK OF ONE !!
Pros: win.
Cons:
Pros: awesome
Cons: non
Pros: awesome bat great graphics and the best pop. even when I barley swung I jacked the ball
Cons: scratches easily and everyone wants to use it
Pros: The best bat ever
Cons: Nothing bad about it
Pros: Hit so much farther and harder. No sting at all! One of the best bats out there. Buy it!!!
Cons: NONE at all
Pros: Best bat!! Hit so much harder and farther. No sting and wicked designs. Hit 8 home runs with it at 18 at bats. Buy it
Cons: None
Pros: this is a really godd bat i have it and i hit my first homerun with it in the firt game
Cons:
Pros: This bat has an excellent sweet spot just below the teeth on the skull. When hit on that spot, the ball explodes off the bat.
Cons: Perhaps my expectations were too high, but for the money I expected the sweet spot to be a bit bigger as it is on some other bats I have tried.
Pros: alway is a reliable bat.
Cons: none
Pros: i used this bat in tournament ball and it is hard to make solid contact but when you do it goes far.
Cons: 2 out of ten times youll make solid contact and when you dont its a little dribbler also it wont last ive had it for 6 months and its already chipping and cracking i reccomend the cf5. its alittle pricey compared to voodoo but its worth it also if you want a -13 get the surge, s2,s3, or even a reflex
Pros: great bat awesome pop plus with the tr3 composite handle its gets big pop
Cons: nice bat but aint chipps easy all in all great bat
Pros: Very Balanced
Cons: This bat has some sick graphics so in my opinion i would not hit any balls with this bat
Pros: My son hit 3 home runs with this bat. the bat has great power and bat speed.
Cons: none
Pros: Very, very nice bat. I was afraid the paint job would be a bit too flamboyant but it's not as 'over the top' in person as it seems in pictures.
Cons:
Pros: JUST GOT THE BAT YESTERDAY.I WENT 3 FOR 4 WITH A WALK LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: GRAPHICS R SICK
Pros: Great bat. Good pop and bounce when new. Bought two in the last year
Cons: !st bat lost pop and life after 500 hits. For the money would have thought it would last longer
Pros: I have used Voodoo bats for a few years now and it is great for contact hitting. It is also very light therefore good for someone trying to get a faster swing speed. The design is sweet and intimidating.
Cons: There is lots of sting, and the grip is not as comfortable as other bats (i.e Easton). Don't expect to be able to hit home runs every at bat; it's -13.
Pros: bat has big barrel and lauches the ball a lot farther DEMARINI IS SWEET!!!!!!
Cons: GRIPPING IS BAD
Pros: If you got clutch get the bat right know...so light for a 32 inch
Cons:
Pros: Has nice sweet spot and really drives the ball
Cons: The barrell marks up very easily with use.
Pros: this bat is awesome and has good power
Cons: if it hits the handle it stings for a minute
Pros: Nice looking bat
Cons: Bat always seems dead. Ball does not jump off bat well. My son also has a Louisville TPX and ball always comes off the bat solid. Not that happy with this bat.
Pros: Both my sons used this bat this bat this year. One a 30" and one a 28". Both of them loved the bats. So did some of their other teamates. Both improved the consistency of their hitting this year, especially my older son. I believe the bat helped with that along with confidence. Would recommend this bat. Ordered the 31" for my older son rather then the 2013 because he liked it so much.
Cons: Top plastic coating on the top of the barrel of bat wore off fairly easily. Not a big deal but could have been more durable.
Pros: this has lots of pop
Cons: none
Pros: everything
Cons: nothing
Pros: Great bat. Sick graphics. Great pop. Love the sound.
Cons: None
Pros: great pop and cool design
Cons: stings on inside pitches sometimes
Pros: If your'e a hard hit hitter, and you play travel baseball, you need this bat. You get great pop off the bat.
Cons: none at all!

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
