Description

Last season, Easton took the diamond by storm when they released the inaugural Power Brigade Series. Easton is now gearing up the Power Brigade for its debut on the fastpitch softball field allowing players to personalize their power. The fact is, that players draw power from different sources. Stronger players may want a bit more weight and endload to their bat, while smaller players want a little less weight and a balanced feel. Easton solves this problem by offering Power Brigade bats in two categories: The Speed Series and The XL Series. Speed Series bats (FS1, FS2, and FS3) are characterized by lighter length to weight ratios and balanced swing weights to produce faster swing speeds and more power as a result. XL Series bats (FX1 and FX2) are going to be a little heavier and have a enloaded feel, giving stronger players extra momentum through the zone and more power behind each swing. This bat, the FS2, is a one-piece fully composite design that features a barrel made from Easton's IMX Composite that seamlessly transitions into an ultra-thin handle made from their SIC Black Carbon Composite. If you're looking for extra swing speed this season, there's only one logical choice - the bat that's built for SPEED to give YOU more POWER! Easton: Personalize Your Power! The FS2 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: I love the 1 piece. I'm a base hit hitter and the pop helps.

Cons: I had to send my first one back because something inside the bat broke. Other than that, I have no problems with it.

Linda Mae

Pros: What a confidence booster! My daughter was a good hitter...now she can drive past the infield every at bat. We went 1 inch and one oz. larger than her old bat when I purchased this. She moved up from pitching machine to fastpitch this year and is the youngest (10 on the U14) on the team. She was an average hitter but with the Easton she is now out hitting a lot of her teammates. It was well worth the cost just to see her face when the outfield tells each other to back up. Without any difference other than that bat (and new gloves) she hits another to the fence!

Cons: It's a little expensive....was well worth it.

Pros: ust got this bat from justbats.com for my 12 year old daughter. All I can say is WOW! In her first at bat she hit one over the centerfielders head for a 3 RBI homerun. It's well balanced with just the perfect feel to make good hitters into great hitters. It has enough weight to put some pop into your swing but light enough for batters with quick hands to pull the ball. Paid to get it in 2 business days and was pleasantly surprised to get it 1 day early.

Cons: A little pricey

Softball Lover

Pros: Amazing!! This bat is the best bat I have ever had. I have always trusted Easton bats because of durability and this one does not disappoint. The massive sweet spot helps alot, I went from being the 11th hitter on my team to the 2nd spot. I say it is the best bat for your buy

Cons: It stings a very little bit when you hit it on the handle but becauseof the massive sweet spot that usually isn't a big problem.

Pros: My 13 year old has only used it in hitting practice a few times but WOW!! What a difference it has made. The ball really pops off this bat. Can,t wait until she uses it in the games.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: This bat was great straight out of the wrapper. I was always a contact hitter. I was just barely making it past the infield. When I started to use this I was hitting doubles and triples. It was a very good bat.

Cons: It lost its pop halfway through the season. I couldn't get it past the infield unless it was a faster pitcher, which my team rarely saw.

Easton FS2 (Synergy) H. player

Pros: I have used this bat for an entire season. It is a great bat for durability purposes. Because of the durability I am able to use it in the cages and there isn't any issue. When you hit the ball well it really flies. It works really well for contact hitters and puts a little more zing on every hit. This is a really good back up bat for a Xeno or Demarini.

Cons: I have noticed that this bat is end-loaded even though the desription says that it is -10. My teamates 33'' Demarinis and Xenos feel the same in weight or even lighter than my 32''. I would suggest going down a size or keeping the same length if your bat feels a little light. The pop does not seem as strong as I thought it would be. Even after a season I don't think it is broken in or the pop is just really weak.

Never broke in k player

Pros: Pretty sturdy bat, never broke and had very little chips

Cons: I don't think it ever actually broke in. Previously had two stealth speeds, and this bat didn't even come close to those in my mind.

Pros: OK for 6 months

Cons: This bat is dead after 1 year. It's like hitting with a piece of wood. It hurts my daughters hands when she hits with it.

Rege

Pros: Great bat when it was new out of the wrapper. Lots of pop off the bat.

Cons: Only used it about 8 times for batting practice and then started to ring/sting her hands when contact with the ball.(this was with regulation softballs, not cage balls. Another player on the team has the same problem with her Fs2. She returned it . Stay away from this bat.

When I check out, do I keep the free 5 day shipping option? Tiger13
Yes, please select the five day shipping option. Your item will automatically be delivered with free 2nd day air.
Kara
Is this the new model of the Stealth? If not, what is for 2013? Jet
The 2013 Easton FS2 is the model that replaced the Easton Synergy Speed. The 2013 Easton FS1 and FX1 are the models that replaced the Stealth Speed. The FS1 is balanced and the FX1 is end loaded.
Nick
Any real difference between this and the 2012 stealth model? Rain
The 2013 Easton FS2 replaced the Easton Synergy. The 2013 Easton FS1 replaced the Stealth. The main difference in the 2012 Stealth and the Easton FS1 is the FS1 uses a new composite material in the handle for better durability.
Kara
Is this bat better for a power hitter or slap hitter? Meg
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch is designed as a great bat for an all-around hitter. However, due to its well balanced design, slap hitters should love it.
Tyler
Do FS and FX bats have a break in period, or do they have pop right out of the box? Dad
The Easton FS1, FX1, FS2, FX2, and FS3 all feature an IMX composite barrel that will require a break-in period. We recommend 150-200 hits soft-toss or off a tee while rotating the barrel a quarter of an inch.
Aubrey
Could you tell me the difference between the Easton FS1 and the Easton FS2? I see one is two piece and the other is one. What are the other differences? Are the barrels/sweet spots the same lengths? RS
The main difference between the 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch and the 2013 Easton FS1: FP13S1 Fastpitch is the Easton FS1 will have more flex than the FS2 because it is a two-piece composite bat. Both bats will have the same sweet spots and barrel length.
Kara
i am very concerned about the bat breaking!! what is the lowest temperature the bat should be used in??? kpfusion
If you are concerned with durability, you should not use any bat when it's colder than 55 or 60 degrees outside.
Tyler
Does this bat have the new USSSA Stamp, so it will be legal after September 1, 2013? PoorSoftballDad
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch features the new USSSA 1.20 stamp, so it is and will be legal.
Marcus
Is this bat end-loaded like the FS1? I used the FS1 at my practice and it was a little heavy at the end. I was just wondering if the end-loads were different? Mackenzie
Both the 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch bat and the 2013 Easton FS1: FP13S1 Fastpitch bat feature balanced swing weights.
Aubrey
Will the whole FS Series of bats be able to be used next year with the new bat rules coming out? Also, what bat is equivalent to the Easton Stealth Speed -10? Megan
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 will have the new USSSA BPF 1.20 stamp for 2014 play as will the rest of the 2013 FS Series bats. The 2013 Easton FS1 would be the most comparable bat to the Easton Stealth Speed.
Mac
What is the difference for a contact hitter or a power hitter? mast
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 fastpitch bat would be a good option for both types of hitters. Power hitters will like the stiff flex of the one-piece design while contact hitters will enjoy the balanced swing weight.
Mac
I have a 12 year old daughter that is a good contact hitter, with the potential of becoming a very good power hitter. Is there a certain Easton or Demarini bat you would recommend for her right now? Softball Queen
I really like the 2013 Easton FS2 FastPitch as the 2013 DeMarini CF5 DXCFS Fastpitch. They both have great pop and will preform very similar.
Chad M.
My daughter is 11, currently using a 2 year old bat 30"20 oz. She swings it very easily. She is 5 ft 1 and weighs 110. She wants to stay with the same size bat. I wonder if going to a 31" 21 oz. would be better. She's a strong hitter and still growing. Amy Mae
If she has good bat speed with the 30" 20 oz, we recommend a 31" 21 oz. 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch.
Kara
My 12 year old daughter is 5' 2", 130 lbs, and currently uses a DeMarini Bustos 30" -13. She is a power hitter and I am looking to upgrade her to a full composite that will enhance her power. I was looking at both the Easton FS2 and FS3. What is the difference between the two, and which would you recommend for her? catcar1622
The Easton FS2 has an IMX composite barrel and a SIC carbon fiber handle to reduce more vibration. The Easton FS3 uses an IMX composite for the barrel and handle so there will be a little more vibration. The Easton FS2 would be a great choice, but you also might want to take a look at the Easton FX2, it has more of an end loaded feel, which is best for power hitters.
Noah
My daughter is on a 10U team. She uses a DeMarini CF5 32" 22 oz. She is 5' 3", 200 pounds, and is a power hitter. Should I change her to an end loaded bat or keep her with a balanced bat. Also, should I go up in length at all? Chris
Your daughter should be using the 2013 Easton FX2: FP13X2 Fastpitch in a 33" 24 oz.
Noah
Are these bats approved by the ASA 2004 standards? Because I am looking into buying one but in Canada the 2013 ASA approved bats are not legal. Sammy Sosa
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch has the 2004 ASA stamp.
Kara
MY daughter currently has the 2011 Synge and loves it but I think its time for a new bat. Her bat is 30" 18.5 oz right now. She says it feels too light so I would like to get the FS2. If the FS2 replaces the Synge. Whats the difference in the FS2 and the FS3? Why is the FS2 more expensive? John
The Easton FS3 replaced the Synge. The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch replaced the Easton Synergy. Although they are both one-piece composite bats, the Easton FS2 has upgraded SIC Black Carbon composite materials in the handle. The Easton FS3 uses IMX composite in the handle and the barrel. The SIC Black Carbon is an extra cost to manufacture, and therefore is more expensive.
Kara
My daughter just got a Easton FS2 power Brigade bat. How and what is the best way to break it in. Bill
We recommend taking 150-200 swings while doing soft toss. Make sure she rotates the barrel around a 1/4" of an inch every 15-20 swings to help fully break in the composite fibers throughout the barrel.
John
Out of the Easton FS1 or Easton FS2 which on has more pop? steve
The only difference between the Easton FS1 and Easton FS2 is that the Easton FS1 is a two-piece bat and the FS2 is a one-piece bat. They are both made of the same materials.
Damon
My daughter is 14 years old and has hit 3 home runs this year with a CF5 hope balanced bat. We are switching to Easton and are wondering if we should get an end loaded FS1 or a balanced FS1. alex
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch is a balanced bat and is designed for a player that needs to increase their bat speed. A stronger player would benefit most from an end loaded bat like the 2013 Easton FX1: FP13X1 Fastpitch.
Kara
My daughter is 11, 4'8" tall and weighs 90 lbs. Would a 30" 20 oz. or 31" 21 oz. bat be best for her? She is not a power hitter. LJ
Based on her height and weight, we recommend the 30" model in the 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch bat. For further information on sizing, please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Aubrey
My daughter is 9 years old, weighs 85 lbs. and is 4'6". What size bat should I get her? softball daddy
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 30" 20 oz. model in the 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch bat. For further information on sizing, please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Aubrey
My daughter is 5' 5'' and about 135 lbs. Currently has a 32 in. bat would a 33 in. be ok, or stay at 32? Bern
Based on her height and weight, the 33" model is the recommended length. However, she could definitely still swing a 32" model if she felt more comfortable with that lighter swing weight.
Mac
My daughter is 12 yrs old. She is a lefty, opposite field line drive hitter and 4'11" 85 lbs. What bat would be ideal for her? Austin1971
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 30" model in the 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch bat. This is a great option for a contact hitter.
Aubrey
Is this bat good for a college player? cookie
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch would make a great option for a college fastpitch softball player. The -10 length to weight ratio and balanced swing weight are popular choices among collegiate players and will assist in creating high swing speeds.
Mac
My daughter is 12 years old. She bats right, lot of pop ups and opposite field line drives. She has a lot of power but is currently using a 29" -9, $40.00 bat. She complains of it stinging in her hands after each hit. I was thinking of purchasing a composite bat. She just made a travel squad and I would like to get her a new bat. She is 5'0" 105 lbs. What bat would be ideal for her? yvette2001
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch would be a great step up from an alloy model, as the one-piece composite design will help to reduce vibration and performance. A -10, such as this FS2 is a very common size for a 12 year old, and the well balanced design will help to increase bat speed. Based on her size, we recommend a 31" 21 oz.
Katie
My niece just turned 12 and had a growth spurt over the summer. She is 5'4", 109 lbs. She has excellent bat speed and a power hitter. This is her second year on a 12U travel team. She is currently hitting balls over the center fielder's head with the 2013 Easton Cyclone Fastpitch bat 31' or 32" -9. I am looking to upgrade her bat. What bat would you recommend? Joy
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch is a very good, balanced bat. We recommend an end loaded bat such as the 2013 Easton FX2: FP13X2 Fastpitch for a power hitter.
Kara
What is the difference between the Easton FS1 and FS2? I know the FS1 is a two piece, but as far as quality which is better? jeepsteve
Both the Easton FS1 and FS2 have the same carbon composite in the handle and barrel, so the only difference would be if you prefer a two-piece versus a one-piece bat.
Damon
My daughter is 5'2" and about 95 lbs. She is a lefty slapper who does also take full swings. What do you recommend? Mike
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch bat would be a great selection for your daughter. It will be very balanced and have an easy swing feel. Perfect for her type.
Brandon
I currently have this bat and love it. I am playing in the spring and fall so it will get a little cooler. Can I use this bat it cold weather or should I use another? If so, what would be a good choice similar to this bat? It is 32" 22 oz. Y
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch should not be used in temperatures below 55 degrees. We recommend the 2014 Easton S300: FP14S300 Fastpitch or the 2013 Anderson RocketFlex FP: RFFP Fastpitch.
Kara
I'm thinking of buying this bat, but concerned about breaking in properly. I see these bat rolling services in my area. Are those legit and/or do they void warranty? H
Yes, bat rolling does void the manufacturer's warranty on the bat. I would not roll the 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch bat.
Brandon
My daughter just started a travel team and I'm currently looking for a good bat for her. She is 5'1" and 115 lbs., which would you recommend? nicole
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 32" model in the 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch bat. For further information on sizing, please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Aubrey
My daughter is 8 years old and weighs 87 lbs. Would this bat in 30" 20 oz. be too heavy for her to swing? mommy12
Based on her age, we recommend a 29" model in 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch bat. For further information on sizing, please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Aubrey
My 12 year old daughter is 5'11" and weighs 160 lbs. What size bat would you recommend for her? Worshipman
Given her size, I would recommend going with the 33" 23 oz. model of the 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch.
Marcus
Does this bat ding? cori
The 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch bat will feature more of a "crack" sound when contact is made. This bat is an all composite design. Rather than the "ping" of an alloy model.
Brandon
What is the difference between FS2 and FS3? Is technology better in FS2? Villy
The length to weight ratios and composition of materials are different between the 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch and FS3. Both are balanced one-piece composite models, but the FS2 features the upgraded SIC Black Carbon Composite material in its handle for increased durability and a stiffer flex. The FS2 is a -10 model while the 2013 FS3 is a -11.5 and 2014 model is a -12.
Mac
My daughter is 15 years old, 5'7" tall and weights 110 lbs. what bat would you recommend she use Faye
I would recommend going with the 33" 23oz 2013 Easton FS2: FP13S2 Fastpitch based on her height and weight.
Sean
Hello my daughter is 15 yrs old, 5'5 and weighs about 180. What bat would you recommend her to use? SoftballFreaks
The 2013 Easton FS2 (FP13S2) would be a great choice for her. It is a very high performing, one-piece composite bat. Based on her height and weight we recommend a 34" 24 oz. bat.
Kara
My daughter is about 4'4" tall and weighs about 89 pounds. Looking at the Easton or DeMarini Vendetta. Which would you recommend and what size? JJ
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 29". The 2013 Easton Fs2 (FP13S2) features a one-piece fully composite design and a -10 length to weight ratio. The DeMarini Vendetta features the two-piece full composite design and a -12 length to weight ration, so it features a lighter swing weight. They both feature the balanced swing weight and will be comparable in performance. Ultimately, it depends on if the player has a preference on a heavier swing weight and the one-piece design of the Easton FS2 or the lighter swing weight and the two-piece design of the DeMarini Vendetta.
Tessa L.
My daughter is 9 years old, 93 lbs. and is 57" tall. Last year she played minor league. She is a power hitter. Would this bat be good for her? Trace
Yes, the Easton FS2 (FP13S2 Fastpitch) bat would be a great choice for her. It will help promote fast bat speeds.
Brandon
I'm 17, 5"7, 160 lbs, and graduating high school. I'm retiring the CV12 I have been using for about 3 years and am looking for a new bat that will be good for college level softball. I was our team's 4th batter. Is this an ideal bat for me? kat
The Easton FS2 (FP13S2) is a very balanced one-piece bat. It is designed for a contact hitter than needs to increase their bat speed. We recommend the 2014 Easton FX2: (FP14X2) which has an end loaded feel, similar to the Easton CV12.
Kara
My daughter is 15 and had shoulder surgery in November. I bought an Easton 32" but she needs more length and bat. What do you recommend? shortstop mom
Based on her age, we suggest a 32" Easton FS2 (FP13S2) Fastpitch. However, the best way to determine the correct bat size for a player is by their height and weight. For more sizing information please visit our Bat Coach http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Jason
My daughter is 15 years old, 5'3 and 200 lbs. She currently uses a 32 in 20 oz bat. I want to get her a new bat, what size should she be using? Mom
The size that we recommend for her would be a 33" and 23 oz. The Easton FS2 (FP13S2) bat is a one-piece fully composite design with a -10 drop. This bat would be a great bat for her.
Kyle
I'm 16, 130 lbs. and barely 5'4". I'm currently using a 31"21 oz. bat which is way too small for me. I'm not necessarily a power hitter but I need something that will provide more power. Buchey
The Easton FS2 (FP13S2) would be a great bat if you are wanting to add power through bat speed. It is designed for the players that are going for less less weight and a balanced feel.
Zach
My daughter is 9 and looking into buying a composite bat. Right now she is swinging a Worth Storm 29 in. 17oz. She is a very good hitter, but would just like to move onto composite from aluminum. Which brands/bat are recommended for 10U fast pitch? Nat
The Easton FS2 (FP13S2) is a very good bat I would would recommend. It will be a one-piece composite which will have a stiffer feel. If you are looking something in a two-piece composite I would recommend the Easton (FP13S1). I would recommend any bat in Easton's Fastpitch line.
Zach
My daughter is 12 and is 5'6" 120 lbs. What size bat does she need? She has good power, just looking to get more pop. Cuseman
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 33" model in the Easton FS2 (FP13S2) Fastpitch.
Jason
I'm trying to determine the size bat my granddaughter should use. She just turned 15, is a 5'4" lefty, and weighs about 120 pounds. She has played at the JV HS level. Would the Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP13S2) suit her? What size? Russ
The Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP13S2) would be a great option for your granddaughter if she is more of a contact hitter. The balanced swing weight as well as the two-piece design is generally preferred by players who hit for contact over power. Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 32" bat.
Tessa
My daughter is 14, 5'6" and around 120 pounds. She is very athletic. What size bat would you recommend? Tony
For her size I would recommend a 33" in the Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP13S2).
Allison
I am just starting to coach High School fastpitch. I would like to order two team bats, one 33" and one 31" or 32". I'm struggling with the best general weight to get for a team. I was thinking about a drop 9 and drop 10. What is the durability of this bat? Mary
The Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP13S2) features a one-piece full composite design with the SIC composite handle and an IMX composite barrel. It does feature a balanced swing weight and due to the composite construction, will require a break-in period. In terms of durability and performance, this model is an excellent choice for the price.
Joe
My daughter is 5'7" and 180 lbs. and she is 18. I am not sure if she should stick with the same size bat she has now, as she has had it for 3 years. She is a power hitter with a quick swing. tab1120
Based on her size, I would recommend using the 34" 24 oz. model in the Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP13S2).
Tom
I am 5 foot 7 and weigh 95 pounds. I'm not sure if I should go with a 32 inch or 33? kat
Based on your height and weight, either size of the Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP13S2) could work but the 32 would be more what we would expect for the average player of your size. If you are strong for your size or feel that you might grow a bit more soon, the 33 might work.
Patrick
Is Easton coming out with a 2015 FS2? Sandra
Easton will not be coming out with a 2015 Easton FS2. The closest model to this bat will be the 2015 Easton FS3 ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15S3). The difference is the 2015 Easton FS3 will be a two piece design.
Frankie
My daughter plays travel ball and we need to buy her a new bat. She is 12 yrs old. She is 5'3" almost 5'4'' and weighs about 119 lbs and is strong for her age. S
The Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP13S2) in a 32" would be my recommended length for your daughter. If she has the upper body strength you might be interested in looking at an end loaded bat like the DeMarini CF7 Insane.
Jake
My daughter is 13. She is about 5'6". She weighs about 120 lbs. We need to find a bat for her. neophite
The Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP13S2) would definitely be a great bat for her. A 31" or 32" would be recommended. This bat would also swing very balanced and not feel barrel heavy.
Brandon
My daughter is 12 and about 120 lbs. She plays 12u travel and is a power hitter. Would the Easton FS2 be a good bat for her 32" 22 oz.? angie
The Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP13S2) features a balanced swing weight, which is generally preferred by contact hitters. Typically power hitters will tend to favor an end loaded swing weight. The FS2 does feature a one-piece design, which is also preferred by power hitters, since it provides a stiffer feel on contact. Ultimately, it will come down to personal preference. With regard to sizing, we recommend checking out our Bat Coach, which can give you a better idea based on her height and weight. What is difference between 2014 FS1 and 2014 FS2 fastpitch bats? james
The Easton FS1 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14S1) is a two-piece design that provides more flex and a bit more sting and vibration protection than the Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP13S2). Due to the lesser flex of the bat, the FS2 is a bit easier to control.
