That depends on the weight of his last bat. I wouldn't recommend anything more than 2 or 3 ounces heavier than the last bat he used.

I'm looking for a bat for my 9 year old. He is 53" and about 65 lbs. I think he used a 28" 15 oz. bat last season doing machine pitch and was ahead on everything. After the season he borrowed a longer, heavier bat from a friend and was crushing the ball at the batting cage. I don't want to spend more than $50. Any suggestions? DCE Dad
A 29" 19 oz. 2013 Easton Magnum: YB13MG Youth bat would definitely match what you are looking for. You could even up it to a 30" bat if you wanted to give him something to grow into.
