Pros: Ball jumps off bat with an amazing sound
Cons: none
Pros: awesome color
Cons: unless you have a death grip this bats not for you. unless you want to pay 80$ for green instead of orange. very disappointed really wanted to like it.
Pros: My kid went 3 for 5 all three fields. His coaches love the bat. I also bought the Mako wood bat too. Switch it up.
Cons: none
Pros: the bat feels nice and i love the color
Cons: THE PRICE!!!!
Pros: The pop and sound of this bat is incredible, the torq handle enables the hitter to drive balls instead of rolling over on balls that you would normally roll-over on, all around just a great bat!
Cons: Everybody on my team wants to use it!
Pros: decent pop
Cons: Rotationg handle feels awkward, it is the same as last years mako but with a rotating handle
Pros: Good looking bat.
Cons: To much money and it's no better then last years model
Pros: Good bat. Just not what I expected
Cons: No different than the regular mako. Just payed an extra 100 bucks to get a neon green mako. The handle only rotates on bad swings where you wouldnt be getting hits anyway.
Pros: The bat is getting hotter by the day. The Mako Torq is becoming not only a great bat but a great self learning tool as well. Once your kid gets comfortable with the handle. Its Hammer Time. The grip is the the best. Would like to see an end loaded model as well. Great investment. You still get some bad hits just like any other bat. Keep swinging wood too.
Cons: Lets face it, the cost of the bat is an extra 100 bucks. You break it down throughout the year. It cost an extra .51 cents a day for a year. Not to mention every kid wants to use it.
Pros: Great pop, Very balanced If you have a SEVERE problem with rolling over the bat is for you great bat besides the (cons)
Cons: *Bat forces you to roll over in the middle of your swing to try to help players NOT roll over. *The torq grip doesn't help with the rolling over part because it happens even more. *Messes up your swing *Feels weird along with the turning.
Pros: You can swing the bat and hit a ball....
Cons: The price is outrageous and it's designed for junior league players....what is goin' on with organized little league???
Pros: OK the bat has a little vibration. Great POP for a BBCOR bat. The 360 rotating handle is horrible.
Cons: Rotating handle. Very hard to hit with my hands always moving. I would get the MAKO instead but some people think its good to have the most expensive bat on the market. I recommend the MAKO over the Torq
Pros: The TORQ is killing it. This is a bat that needs to be in every players bag. I bought the Prime and the Overlord to see how he would hit repeating the swing of the TORQ. The feedback he gets is positive. The work he puts in will have its rewards. His batting average has gone up. Don't knock a kid with this bat in his hands. It is going to make him a better hitter. The grip is still holding up strong. And he will be swinging the TORQ.
Cons: none
Pros: Cool look
Cons: It is very very odd feeling. Went to a tournament and they had this out for us to test, and none of us ( 16-18 year olds) thought it helped at all in our swings. Plus if you did piece it up it didn't feel or sound good. Not worth the money. Very bad bat
Pros: the ball jumps of the bat with amazing pop the grip takes awhile to get used to but its really cool
Cons: price
Pros: -Experienced hitters will appreciate the rotating handle that allows you to keep your hands in the zone way longer and prevents premature top hand rollover. Extends ability to cover more of the plate, especially the inner half. -The ball flies off the barrel. -For all of you that like the sweet sound of solid contact, you'll love this bat.
Cons: -More inexperienced hitters may struggle with rotating handle. -Pricey.
Pros: has good pop is well balanced has a decetn sized sweet spot
Cons: the handle almost broke my wrist, Easton is pushing the whole palm up palm down thing with hitting which is the right concept just the wrong approach, you already move your wrists into a palm up palm down position so having a handle that does that more forces the hand to push super hard and pull stuff that shouldn't be pulled. It doesn't really help with being short to the ball. By a good wood bat and pay for hitting lessons
Pros: It has the mako barrel so once you break it in (composite bats need around 200 cuts on each part of the barrel to break in) it pops off nicely. People say the handle isn't good, but those people aren't very good and are just blaming the bat for their inability to use it. It also has no vibration. The handle will take some tiem to get used to but you need to break it in anyways before you use it in a game. Overall, once you break it in and get a rhythm down with the handle it is a great bat.
Cons: The only reason not to buy this bat is because of the price. Easton is like the Nike of baseball, so they will hike up any new development through the roof.
Pros: hits as well as any bat out there
Cons: you will spend $100 more than needed for a bat. i tried this bat out at a demo and it doesnt work, maybe if you dont have a proper swing it could do something for you. but you need help with your swing get a coach not this bat. works like any other bat out there. if you hit the ball fine and have a good swing save your money and use the money that you would use to buy this bat, to buy the normal mako or any other bat and a nice pair of cleats.
Pros: It is still a Mako, so those of you who have swung the Mako will know how quick you get to the baseball, and how much pop the Mako has.
Cons: The Con's are that the Mako Torq is basically throwing experienced players off. Now what I mean by this is that anyone who is looking to go to the next level and play professionally will be swinging wood bats, and we all know they will never make a wood bat that has a rotating handle. Baseball has been played for over a century without a rotating handle. So my personal opinion is that if you really want to go to the next level and then eventually professional ball then I would stick with the original Mako. - Feels like the handle will fall off when you swing - Takes a while to get used to
Pros: The bat has a great feel too it. Very balanced. I know people say oh the handle doesn't do good. Personally the handle does great! Gets to them inside pitches. And keeps your hands where they need to be. Word of advice though if you don't like the way it feels with a normal grip with all knuckles aligning, align all your middle knuckles and that will help with the feel of the bat.
Cons: None very very good bat. Highly recommended!
Pros: Pop Balance Low vibration
Cons: This bat is a great idea, however you will never be able to go away from it. For experienced players it will mess up swings and for less experienced players it allows them to square up more pitches however when they try to switch bats they will roll over for days. These bats are allowed in college however scouts won't look at anybody who relies on them simply because they will take a long time getting back into the swing of a regular bat which wastes money if they are drafted. If you are looking for a good experience in high school get it, but you won't be able to go much farther than that.
Pros: NONE
Cons: Everybody saying how great it is are not good hitters. This bat was a demo and all it did was screw up my good players and help the bad. Plus you'll never go any farther than high school since there will NEVER be a WOOD ROTATING HANDLE.
Pros: This bat has done everything that it advertised for me. I've been able to get to that inside "pitcher's pitch," more consistently. It didn't take me long to get used to the handle at all.
Cons: a little bit of an investment
Pros: Has ok pop. Looks pretty cool.
Cons: This bat is not for you, unless you have a death grip on the bat. If you already line up door knocker knuckles, the bat wont rotate in your swing. The spinning handle is useless to people with a good form swing. If you have a death grip and dip in your swing, this bat will fix your form. Not as much pop as the xl1. Grip tape is terrible. Couldnt hit the ball with the rotating handle, the bat did what it wanted to. I prefer my 2013 vexxum over this bat.
Pros: good bat, nice pop,
Cons: $550 dollars for a bat is completely absurd, unless you have got half a k to just waste on a bat then dont buy
Pros: Bought this bat for my 7 year old to play Little League. The idea of your hands always being in the right position was a selling point. We always work on lining the middle knuckles up so he shouldn't need to use the handle, but if he's not thinking about it, this would fix the issue mid swing. Well, the first 500-1000 cuts the bat was working great, he was hitting the ball farther, harder, and more consistent that with his 2014 S1.
Cons: Then tonight, you could hear the bat starting to do something weird. Then after hitting ball after ball in the sweet spot and having them die as they popped off and he wanted to drop the bat, I played with the bat and notice that the handle has a huge wobble to it. For $349 bucks, you would think they wouldn't send out a BETA bat. Very disappointed as now I have to wait for Easton and we have try outs on Saturday (Tonight is Thursday). Lets see how Easton make this up to us!
Pros: Bat has great pop and bat speed. Ball really jumps of the bat fast and very little to no vibration.
Cons: The paint is chipping after 45 days. There is no benefit with the torq handle. Save $100 and buy a regular Mako.
Pros: I had my 2 games and I hit a homerun and two double
Cons: It flies off the bat with power
Pros: fantastic bat, easier to get to the zone. Torq technology creates power, and tge ball absolutely JUMPS right off of the bat. I am pretty young, first year on 90 ft bases. first at bat was a shot down the line and second was a 250 ft lineout to right field(good for 13u), and i love the sound and bat
Cons: None
Pros: Looks Cool
Cons: No kid on our team can hit a ball with it. Not sure if it is the torque handle or what. I am wishing i would have bought the older model.
Pros: Ball jumps off bat, great feel i seem to really drive tha ball.
Cons: everyonr on team wants to use it
Pros: Nice bat but go with the MAKO
Cons: If you are looking to go into higher baseball or even a wood bat league the rotating handle will not help unless Easton thinks a wood bat can come with a rotating handle too. They are trying to help you not roll over in your swing, but as soon as you hit with wood your results will be pulled grounders, much different than with your MAKOtorq. Secondly, why would you want to spend an extra $100 for a handle that will be doing you a disservice. (And the other Power Brigade bats have a much better grip, just saying)
Pros: Helps you get hands through the ball and hit inside pitches I have a 32 inch 29oz. bat (BB.Core) and have already hit two triples would have been Homeruns if I where fast
Cons: The grip of bat (bat tape) is the only down grade in my opinion.
Pros: decent pop
Cons: horrible handles
Pros: I was scared to unwrap this thing it was so pretty. It has amazing pop and springs off the bat right as you hit it. You dont even have to swing that hard for it to be a shot. the Xl1 has pretty good pop too but besides the rotating randle (which doesnt really do much) this bat is the same as the XL1 and the normal 2015 mako.
Cons: the grip is pretty slippery when using gloves. I got some lizard skin grip and it helped a ton
Pros: this bat is basicly the mako but painted green and has a spinny handle. The rotating handle doesnt do to much but it doesnt effects anything. I have the 32/29 amd it feels alot lighter than 29 ounces. i went from 23 ounces to 29 no problem. The ball shoots off the bat right off contanct. The bat seems alot similar too the XL1 and the S series bats but this just has more pop in general.
Cons: I havnt found any yet i love it
Pros: It was a great feel and had lots of pop
Cons: I went through 2 within 3 months, one because the handle didn't spin and now what happen yesterday the handle and the barrel came apart so now I think I'm just going to get the regular mako. I would just wait tell Easton figures out problems like this.
Pros: everything about is just amazing! the pop, the handle ,really helped my hitting! definitely worth the money
Cons: none
Pros: The color is nice, decent pop.
Cons: More of a training tool than a bat, grip stinks, not comfortable.
Pros: it has amazing pop. the ball feels amazing coming off the bat.
Cons: the only bad thing is that it usually takes a while to get a feel for the handle
Pros: The bat meets the expectation in my opinion with the great pop it provides and the massive barrel. I personally, am not a fan of the rotating handle but that's not a problem because I just put lizard skin over the original grip allowing the handle not to turn. Cheaper than the 2015 mako which is $359. If you cover-up the rotating handle, it basically is a neon green mako that is $50-60 cheaper. Overall great bat and would recommend this bat for grades 6th-College.
Cons: -Rotating Handle might not be for everybody but easy fix if you do not like it by adding new grip tape -Pricey everywhere but here ($ 299.89)
Pros: great pop to the xl1 barrel and that good (ping) sound that you like to hear when you square up the ball nicely, the color is awesome, and it helps stay in the zone longer
Cons: white bat grip gets dirty very easily (not a big deal)
Pros: GREAT
Cons: Exspensive and u have to break it in
Pros: very very good bat after about a month of hitting with it, ive hit balls that normally i would never swing at when so inside. went 8-12 in first tourney with it with 3 homers, 2 doubles, 1 triple
Cons: sounds and feels like im hitting with a wood bat, but has insane pop seeing the ball fly off the barrel
Pros: it has very good pop and also very little vibration, It will take some time to get used to the rotating handle but other than that it is a very good bat
Cons: the handle gets dirty very easy
Pros: very epic
Cons: none
Pros: Great pop hitting 250ft bombs right out of the rapper.big sweet spot and feels really light and balanced
Cons: Grip gets dirty really fast and already falling apart
Pros: My son loved it he is hitting with more pop and more consistently. he believes the bat is making a difference.
Cons: alot of money
Pros: Keeps palms right all the way through the zone, reducing rollover. Great balance and pop!
Cons: None
Pros: i used it for the first time at my game 2 days ago and the balls where just flying off the barrel . its a really good bat with amazing pop. and the handle works good too.
Cons: none
Pros: The bat has great pop. It has no vibration and feels great. I really like the handle. People say it only rotates on bad swings, but that is the way it should be. It does not mess up good swings, but it has gotten me some hits on bad swings. The durability has not been a problem for me so far. Overall, a great choice, for $200.
Cons: The grip of the bat, which is made of gauze, is very poor. I am going to replace it with a lizard skins grip. Other than that, nothing.
Pros: Has ok pop if you hit a really hard ball.
Cons: The bat has no pop. When you hit it it sounds like a wooden bat.The twisting handle messes up you're swing, before my kids are singing it is already twisting.I would not recommend this bat for anyone
Pros: Great pop, the rotating handle is good for me and works well. Little to no vibration even catching it off the end or right by your hands.
Cons: It takes quite a while to break in, and the original grip is complete garbage.
Pros: the mako has a lot of pop and the ball just jumps off your bat
Cons: I only had mine for three weeks and the barrel has a crack and the lizard skin peals off for me
Pros: Pop is good
Cons: The handle rotates, it's very strange if you ask me. I want the handle on a Baseball Bat to be a normal handle and not a gimmick. No Thanks you, I sent mine back and purchased a Louisville Slugger Omaha. iMO the Omaha is the far superior bat nd less expensive as well
Pros: On day one it helped me hit better. people who say that the torq handle doesnt help you are saying this because they are bad and cant hit anyways or just think there is only one way a bat should be.
Cons: none
Pros: the ball absolutely springs off the bat.The feel of it is different at first but once you get it broken in it is amazing.
Cons: PRICE!
Pros: This bat was worth every penny. The bat as soon as I broke it in started to have the ball fly off the bat. To me it's like a mako with a turning handle.
Cons: To get rid of the turning handle just tape it and it will be a normal mako. Other wise no real cons beside the tape.
Pros: Out of the box it has a great feel and amazing sound. The handle is a bit of an adjustment but it's not a big deal. Ive only taken about a hundred swings in a cage, but it has a unique sound and feels great when you hit it.
Cons: The new model is incredibly expensive. I got the 2015 model which was cheaper, but I wanted a 32 inch bbcor, which was not replaced anywhere once it went out of stock.
Pros: had a bit of pop.not that great of a bat.
Cons: The rotating handle was not good. Way overpriced.Plain Easton Mako was way better!!!
Pros: Has good pop and my son loves the bat. Keeps from rolling over.
Cons: none, got it at great price.
Pros: works very well and it was a great price!
Cons: paint chiped at the the top from mu son putting it in and out if hos bat bag.
Pros: ive used this for 2 rec seasons and 2 seasons of premier league travel ball and not one thing has went away about it the pops incredible and pine tar sticks easily which i like to have it was my first year of using bbcor when i got it and i had 2 homeruns that went well over 325 amazing bat and amazing durability now taking it into school ball for the 4th season of using it!
Cons: the grip was changed after 2 games when it wore off and the twisty handle was taped over
Pros: this is a very good bat, probably the best ive owned out of all the eastons. the ball jumps right off the bat. theres a massive sweetspot that just sends the ball. handle is great. some people complain that it turns to much but i think it turns the perfect amount if it even turns at all. as long as you have a proper swing you dont even need to worry about the turning handle
Cons: nothing. i love it
Pros: just gotbthis bat and only used it a few times but i csn already tell this bat is amaxing. the pop out if the box without any breaking in period is amazing. my friend also has the 2016 mako torq and they are of the exact same quality level so if yo uwant an amazing bat and to save some money this is the bat for you
Cons: handle feels weird right now but hoping it gets more natural
Pros: I love this bat used it to make 3 travel teams and my school team and i had a batting avg of 350 with it didnt expect to actually hit joneruns with it considering it was bbcor but i did and hit a car and hit one to another field great bat
Cons: Went dead after all the hitting ive done with it no sound and pop dies over time the grip was replaced after one hitting session suggest putting lizard skin on it
Pros: The mako torq has plenty of pop and is top heavy so it feels nice coming through the zone
Cons: the twisting handle was uncomfortable so i put a lizard skin on it and i was finr
Pros: Best bat I've ever used
Cons: none
Pros: THE PROS ARE I HIT DINGERS EVERY TIME THE BALL GOES uy397863249862319876498172364987qwe6987463298761423987642318965428965891474 MILES WHEN I HIT IT
Cons: THE CONS ARE THE BAT COST $200 SO THEN AGAIN I LOVE THE VIBRATION WHEN I HIT IT
Pros: amazin
Cons: none
Pros: Great pop and feel to the bat, its comfortable to hold and swing, almost no vibration, and is pretty durable.
Cons: the rotating handle is a little weird at first but after a while it starts to feel better and you can use it to your advantage!
Pros: i just got the bat. its a little heavy rn but the pop is great evan befor breaking it in lot of people said the twist handle was bad but i like it. it keeps me from roolling over
Cons: not much besides the price should be brought down
Pros: Great pop, nice balanced feel. Actually feels lighter than my son's other alloy bat that is 1oz less.
Cons: Still getting used to the Torq turning handle.
Pros: great pop and hits great comfortable and never hurts your hand great bat cool looking.very light and weight distrubution is equal so it feels light.
Cons: no bad things
