What is the difference between a 271 and 110 turn? steve
Thank you for your question. The 271 turn has a slightly larger knob with a flared handle. It has a long taper that leads up to a medium-sized barrel, making this bat ideal for players looking for a bump in bat speed. The 110 turn model has a standard knob also with a long taper that leads to a medium sized barrel. It will work for all types of hitters.

The Easton Maple Composite M110 has a longer taper than the MC271. Also the MC110 has a goldenrod handle, whereas the MC271 has a cherry handle.

The MC110 and MC271 are two different turning models. Both bats will have a 2 1/2" barrel with a long taper. The MC110 will have a 1" handle and small flare handle. The MC271 has a 15/16" handle and a medium flare handle.

What is the difference between a long taper and a short or medium taper bat? Does a short taper make the barrel part of the bat longer? Slugger
The taper refers to how quickly the barrel tapers, or "levels out", into the handle. It doesn't necessarily reflect barrel length, but the meaty part of the barrel on bats with short tapers is typically a little more even as the taper doesn't begin it's transition until below the middle of the barrel. Bats with longer tapers are often a little more balanced in weight and the barrel begins it's transition, or taper, into the handle higher up on the bat.
