Pros: My son had a Rampage 27" 14.5 oz previously which was a good solid bat. With the 28" 15.5 oz, he's been hitting more solid and that extra inch increased his hitting zone.

Cons: None yet

Pros: Good bat. Good price. FAST shipping. Ordered Monday night, got it Wednesday night. Learned alot from this site. The right size bat makes all the difference when it comes to kids batting. My son uses the rampage 30" 17.5 -12.5. Fits him perfect and not much gets by him at the plate now.

Cons: he has gotten a few stingers from taking pitches on the handle. His buddy has a $200 omen and gets stingers, so that being said, there is no cure for stingers except better swings lol.

Pros: Great bat for the money. Decent pop and has been durable. Purchased the 29in/16.5 oz. for 9-10 year olds. The smaller players have generated greater bat speed and drive the ball well with this bat.

Cons: Some stingers when the ball is not hit on the barrel. May be more related to the weight rather than the bat?

Pros: Very durable, I have used this bat for fall ball, the Spring and tournament ball and it is still good. It is a good bat for the price

Cons: It will sting a lot when you hit it on the handle and the pop isn't that good

Pros: Great bat for the money and very light weight to help your kid swing properly.

Cons: It's so light, don't expect much pop/power. But that should be the least of the concerns in this age range.

Pros: My son who is 5 1/2 and the 27"/14.5 allows him to maintain bat speed moving up from a TBALL bat. When considering all the important factors for young players (proper swing, good pop, durability, price, length and weight options etc..) i give it a 5 for this age group. He added 10 feet to his distance off the T after a week of adapting to different length and weight.

Cons: none so far

Pros: Looks good, durable, light and quick. Good for young players U9.

Cons: Not suitable against harder pitching. Bat is "flat", no power, no pop, and significant stinger issues. Tried many remedies for the vibration in the bat with no success. Replaced after half a season. Detrimental for developing players.

Pros: The bat is very light so it generates a lot of pop and bat speed

Cons: The weight of the bat makes it so that you can only use the bat for a year maybe two

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton Rampage Youth Baseball Bat: LX67? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Hi My 7.5 year old son has been moved up to Rookies (machine pitch then kid pitch 2nd half of season). He is about 4ft tall. I was looking into this 27/14.5 or the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha: YB116 Youth at 28/14.5. I'm not sure which length would serve better for him. Thanks much. EC
I would recommend the 27/14.5 based on his height.
Kara
does this bat have the rating on it (bpf) TAZ
This bat will state on the barrel BPF 1.15, but will not feature the thumbprint stamp like the senior league models.
John
Hi. My son is starting farm league. He's 6 hrs old and stands 49". This is his first year of coach/machine pitch. What size bat do you recommend? Josh
I would recommend a 29 inch bat that weighs between 16 and 18 ounces.
Tyler
I have seen the Easton LX67 Rampage advertised as being made of the stronger 7050 aircraft alloy. Yours lists it as 7046 aircraft alloy. Are there two versions? coach
Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. I confirmed that the Rampage LX67 is made from Easton's 7050 alloy. I just updated the website to reflect this. Thanks again!
Tyler
We have the Rampage LX66 29"-16.5 Oz. What is the difference between the LX67? We got an approved bat list from our league and the LX66 is not on it but the LX67 is? Dave
The LX67 is just the newer version and has the required BPF stamp.
Kara
Can't decide if I should get my son 29 or 30 inch rampage. He is 9 yo 55 inches and about 85 lbs . Very strong kid. Marty
I would recommend a 30 inch Rampage is he's a little stronger than average. That would be a very good choice.
Tyler
Does the LX67 Youth 30 inch bat have the thumbprint 1.15 stamp? Below it says it does not in the youth and then later it seems that it does. BA
The Easton Rampage LX67 does not have the new USSSA stamp that will be required on youth bats in 2014. It is still legal and has the necessary certifications for USSSA play in 2012 and 2013.
Tyler
What bat size and drop ratio do you recommend for a 5'4 160 pound 12 year old? gunfy
Based on his height and weight we recommend a 32 inch 22 oz. bat.
