Pros: great bat a last minute purchase for sectional tournament where previous bat developed a crack. bat was bouncing of the bat.Too bad it will be illegal in our organization this coming year.

Pros: Surprisingly good pop. I bought the bat to use in batting cage but the ball jumps so well off the bat my son is now using it for his fall ball games.

Cons: Not BBCOR approved. But it will remain a good batting cage bat for 2012.

can my son use this bat in babe ruth and high school? Becky

It depends on the state you live in. In California, it is not legal but it is legal for 2011 in the rest of the United States. Beginning January 1, 2012 all bats will have to be BBCOR certified. This specific model is not BBCOR certified and will only be legal for the remainder of the 2011 season.

Some middle schools are following the new high school standards. There are other middle schools that are not following high school standards. I would check with your coach or league director prior to making a purchase. However, this is an alloy bat and it should be legal for play.

If you are going by the barrel classification used when bats undergo testing, this would be in class A (hollow aluminum alloy).

It depends on what league or organization you are playing in. If you are referring to High School or College baseball, then the answer is no. This bat is not BBCOR certified and will not be legal. If you are referring to your summer or travel club team, then there is a strong possibility it will be legal for multiple years, but you need to check with your coach or league director first.

If the school you are at uses -3 bats and non BBCOR bats, this bat would be able to be used. I would ask your coach for more clarification on what bats you are able to use. This bat is a -3 bat, that is not BBCOR certified.
