Pros: Swung this bat when easton came to my school. Grip feels nice, knob is good, and it is a really good overall bat
Cons: I didn't see a lot of change between the old model and this one. Honestly I would go with the older one since it is cheaper.
RageHitter15
Pros: Amazing pop and swing speed. most balanced bat i've ever swung. Best Bat Ever!!
Cons: none yet
giraffe
Pros: very balenced, tons of pop, and swing speed. Just as good as XL1 for power hitters. overall a great bat
Cons: none
bballbat
Pros: Great bat! Huge amount of pop, much different than any other BBCOR bat I have ever used. Nice designs and swings very nicely. Also, very evenly weighted.
Cons: A little expensive and takes a few swings to break in, but it is well worth it.
Eli
Pros: Just got this bat 4 xmas and it is awesome!!! huge pop, and extremely balanced. picked up my s3 fealt like a log!!
Cons: its only december
johnny
Pros: Best bat on the market today.

Jpro
Pros: good pop for a BBCOR, good balance
Cons: last year's S1 seemed to lose its pop after a couple of months, we'll see how this one does
Ballboy97
Pros: This bat is awesome. Amazing pop, and it feels like a -10 regarding weight. In conclusion, best bat I've ever used.
Cons: Price is a little high I guess, but it's worth it

Pros: This bat has a lot of pop and also feels like a feather In your hands. You can swing twice before the ball gets to you.
Cons: Why do they even have cons for this bat.
bamabaseball
Pros: Good pop for a BBCOR. Love the handle and swings like a drop 5.
Cons: None so far.
Nathan
Pros: Bought this bat for my son at Christmas. He swings it as well as he swung his drop 5 last season. Is very evenly balanced and his swing looks great. A lot of pop off the bat as he makes contact. Bat has a large sweat spot as well.
Cons: A little expensive.
Matt
Pros: Pop and balance
Cons: Biggest con is that this bat breaks. I bought my son's S1 in December and the center seal broke by the end of January after only hitting indoors under regulated temperature using real baseballs. Although under warranty Easton says they are 6 weeks in back order. I was at a game the other night and each team had a player with the S1 that broke. You must send it to Easton if it breaks you can't bring back to store. Breaking is very common for this bat.
Willie
Pros: Great bat, first 5 games in the season I went 5/10. It's very balanced, and helps anyone get it through the zone.
Cons: Not a lot of pop
JH
Pros: Good swing weight, very well balanced. Most pop of all BBCOR.
Cons: Bat broke after two games. Only used in live practice before the games. Not sure why Easton's "best" bat continues to have durability issues every year.
Disappointed
Pros: Great pop
Cons: Barrel separated from handle after one month. Now have to wait six weeks.
SandyCreek17
Pros: Amazing Pop, most balanced bat on the market.
Cons: Price. Also, the two i have had have cracked very easily. Waiting for my third in the mail, not durable.

Pros: I had this bat for about two weeks and all i can say is great bat. Easton got everything right with this bat. Perfect balance great pop and i am more confident as a hitter. This bat added distance to my hits as well. All i can say is if you dont get this bat you are missing out.
Cons: none
AZgrinde3r#44
Pros: This bat is super juiced out of the box. Usually with composite bats they take a while to break in like the CF5. This bat is super awesome for speed hitters. I also have the RIP-It air and these are very close . I would say that this bat isn't for power hitters unless if you need the extra speed.
Cons: Well I am a power hitter so I still love this bat , but if you are a power hitter too then I would recommend the XL 1 or rip it.
nick
Pros: This bat is the best bet i have ever bought... i have had the rip it cf5 exo 5150 and the S2 and this bat is so good and sets itself apart from others. this bat is so light when you swing it is like no other and it has so muc pop its crazy 4 people on my varsity team use it and it is an amazing bet best purchase ive made in baseball
Cons: there is no such thing.
One Hit Wonder
Pros: Has great pop, love the feel of it. Has great balance and I can swing with great bat speed through the zone.
Cons: Not very durable, I have broken three of these bats already. I broke the first three months after I got it, in half, two months later I cracked the replacement in the same place. Finally, cracked my third one during a game in the sweet spot.
BossHossWithLasers
Pros: Super balanced and just a dope bat! Awesome pop.
Cons: None.
Pittsburgh
Pros: Purchased this bat for my 15 year old who has been using the S3. While the same length and weight as the S3, my son says it feels lighter and swings faster. Very nice bat, he loves it, the feel, the pop and the balance. I have been 100% against composite bats but after hitting about 150 balls and several hitting lessons, I am sold on the Easton S1
Cons: Break-in process.
DA BEAST
Pros: amazing aaron loves this bat
Cons: when you hit the ball the ball flies out to fast that it can kill someone
Legitreviewer
Pros: Better than a wood bat.
Cons: Not as good as my old silver and blue Easton Stealth.
BombKing7
Pros: Great pop, helps me hit bombs all the time. I'm going to play at San Jose State next year and I will always use this bat.
Cons: I hit a 400ft bomb over right field and the barrel shattered and the handle flew out of my hands.
bomber
Pros: This is a great bat. A lot of pop and the grip is really good. I have the XL1, TPX Attack, CF5, and Marucci Elite and this bat is better than all of them.
Cons: None
Dashman
Pros: Great balance and the grip is very comfortable. Solid feel when hitting that is only getting better as the bat gets "broken in" over time.
Cons: getting use to the muffled sound at contact after using a 2 piece alloy bat.
Anonymous
Pros: Nice even feel
Cons: Absolutely no pop do not get this bat
chris
Pros: Amazing pop!!! I am 4 foot 9 at 83 pounds with a 31 inch s1 bbcor and it truley is amazing. I enjoy it better than demarini bats because it has more of a flexible feel and trampoline effect off the ball.
Cons: NOne
Anonymous
Pros: Good balance. Decent pop.
Cons: I have hit with the s1 and it was okay, but it's not the bat for power hitters. For contact hitters its pretty good but the XL1 is the best all around bat. XL1 beats the S1 in pop and it has a much bigger sweet spot.
jay
Pros: Best BBCOR bat I have used yet. Great pop and very balanced.
Cons: price

Marco
Pros: My son hit well with the previous model. Good pop and grid.
Cons: Quick break... too expensive...bad quality.
cool guy
Pros: It rocks.
Cons: Home run after.
polo
Pros: Good pop, light weight, and the ball really launches off the barrel.
Cons: If the pitcher is slow the bat doesn't have as much pop.
EdgeBaseball3
Pros: This bat has great pop! Go hit.
Cons: None
chris
Pros: I am 4' 10", and I hit 4 home runs in one season, which never happened before. Everyone on the team wants to use this bat! Also, it sounds cool when you get a hit!
Cons: None.
Chris
Pros: I had an XL1, and you can see the difference between the XL1 and the S1. I could barely get it past the infield with the XL1 but with the S1, I hit 23 home runs in one year (not kidding).
Cons: NONE!
bruiser
Pros: Great pop for the first few days.
Cons: When you shake this bat at the neck the handle and barrel wiggle, also it breaks easy.
the beast
Pros: Awesome
Cons: None
Jake
Pros: Nice grip and look.
Cons: You are paying for the marketing. I bought this bat for my son (he was swinging the Z-1000) and measured all his batting statistics for 50 At Bats. The reality is that his batting average was 2 pts. higher but his power numbers were lower, Slugging 25 pts. and total XBH down. Not a bad bat but if you're paying over $200 you're wasting your money. Good lesson to teach my son. Invest in your swing and mechanics not high end equipment.
Cdeezy
Pros: Great Bat, tons of pop, feels like a BESR, balanced like the CF5, but has way more pop. Overall, amazing bat.
Cons: None at all.
Nate2
Pros: Great pop. Had this bat for about a week and hitting great. Sweet Grip. Balanced Swing.
Cons: None.

Pros: I love it
Cons: Black barrel gets hot
green bay slugger
Pros: swing speed good and power good best bat i have ever had and i have had 20 bats including the XL1 and demarini CF5
Cons:
Coach D
Pros: Very well balanced bat has a lot of pop, making it more controllable. Heard a lot of complaints that it wasn't durable. We haven't broke any Easton bats yet. But one thing we do know is that JustBats recommended doing is hitting off T 250 to 400 times before going live. Would highly recommend this bat but take the time to break bat in.
Cons: Softened a lot of baseball breaking bat in.
easton
Pros: this bat has amazing pop. Best BBCOR bat i have used. Very balanced and perfect for a line drive hitter.
Cons: chips easily
Awesomebaseball
Pros: This is a very good bat. It is very light with a decent barrel size and very good pop. The marketing on this bat is one of the highest because of the cool design. Great bat.
Cons: This bat's price is slightly high. The 2014 Demarini Vexxum is nearly the same exact thing, the only thing that's different is the marketing and look. This bat also does have a tendency to break. Mine hasnt broken, but this bat has a history of breaking.
Jbaseball15
Pros: good pop and grip
Cons: strangely light and lost pop after 2 months
Will
Pros: Best Swing Speed Ever Feels Great Looks Great
Cons: Very Small Sweet Spot As of "pop", it didnt last a whole season All bats are great when you first get them, this one was too. But at the end of the season, 4 out of 5 times I've popped up or had a very weak hit.
Deuce
Pros: Best BBCOR bat you can buy. If you are a contact hitter i would recommend this 2 peice design for a trampoline effect.
Cons: None
Fritchie
Pros: By far the best bat I've ever swung. Got this as a promotion gift to use in high school and wasn't sure if I wanted to give up my 2013 CF5. After the first few swings I was convinced that this was the best bat out by far.
Cons: nothing
easton s1 reveiew jimmy player
Pros: okay bat. it was good for a few months i was hitting bombs.
Cons: pop dropped dramatically after about 4 months of use. going with a 5150
jake
Pros: This bat is great with a lot pop!
Cons: It has a tendency of breaking but it's worth it. Also the price. I saw one on eBay for $135.
bat review cjs player
Pros: great balance great pop feels good to swing great bat speed
Cons: broke twice in 4 month span
Best Bat baller97919 player
Pros: I ust got this bat as I am going into high school. The balanced feel really makes a big difference in the swing speed of the bat. The ball just seems to jump of the barrel with great pop. Also a very large sweetspot. Grip is awesome and awesome graphics. A great all around bat!
Cons: None so far. A lot of the coments say that this bat has some durability issues. some of these issues can occur when the bat is not properly stored or when the bat is not broken in properly.
good bat overall Johnny Baseball player
Pros: Great pop, feels great, been hitting well with it for a few months
Cons: Bat broke after about 3 1/2 months... anyways Easton replaced it and im still doing good with it, and it also vibrates a little much when you hit it towards the handle and the top of the barrel
pop johnny baseball player
Pros: It's amazing.
Cons: People are sad they can't use it because it's a 34". Happy I am not short.
. DannyBaseball?? player
Pros: I was using the XL3 and this bat is way better. It is lighter with more pop. It feels great.
Cons: NO Cons.
CD donny baseball player
Pros: great balance, good pop
Cons: takes a while to break in
The 2013 Easton S1 Jose player
Pros: I really like this bat it feels great in my hands and has great pop.
Cons: I honestly wish that it was solid instead of two piece but I truly love it
Team High School Team player
Pros: My high school team has this bat and 3-5 of us used it all year. Has probably close to 100 hits and has broken or came loose. Still has some good pop. Great Bat! One of the best on the market. If you're going to buy a bat buy an Easton.
Cons: Everyone will want to swing this bat.
Nice bat, didn't last long Ryland player
Pros: Nice balance, nice sweet spot and good pop.
Cons: I used this bat pretty much for high school season last year. I used wood for the summer and fall. Took this bat out last week for a tournament and it broke in my second at bat.
Great bat Dylan player
Pros: it is balanced , has a great pop, doesnt vibrate much, and has the "whip" effect
Cons: Price and duration of the bat
S1 is a great bat Ryan Watts player
Pros: Balanced Strong Whippy Powerful Light Nice Size Barrel
Cons: Inside Pitch is a weakness at times
Overall review by hitter player
Pros: Had the S1 31 in. 28. oz for almost a year. Had almost no vibration and have gotten solid balance and pop out of it. This bat was a great transition bat from my -10 ll bat and made the weight difference almost unnoticeable.
Cons: The "squishy" part for a solid grip feels a little short, and bat has slid out of my hands a few times
the S1 15 player
Pros: this bat is balanced for me from both sides of the plate. it is smooth through the zone. the pop is good. great bat!!
Cons: a true hitter can swing with anything it all depends on what is comfortable in your hands!!!!!!
Grip Brad player
Pros: Great pop, light
Cons: Grip ripped within a month
Great bat Brad player
Pros: Good pop at first Good feel Light
Cons: Grip rips very easily Bat dies after a while
SMOOTH jake player
Pros: -good pop - good sweet spot - great feel, well balanced
Cons: The only con that i can think of is that the grip wears down easily. i got it at the beginning of this season and it is already had to be retaped after 30 games
Great Bat Pittsburgh player
Pros: Love this bat. Great swing weight and overall feel. Has a pretty big sweet spot for a "speed" bat.
Cons: Grip fell apart, and had to buy another one, but was no big deal.
good bat jim player
Pros: The bat feels extremely light when swinging. It also has good pop if you square it up good
Cons: the cxn piece that connects the barrel to the handle came unattached but did not have an effect on the bat.
Dies Jon player
Pros: Feels great, really balanced. Super light. Good pop at first.
Cons: I feel like the bat doesn't have as much pop as other bats. It started out good but I think it wore out fast I didn't make it through a season before the bat was feeling dead.

Undecided between the 2013 S1 and DeMarini CF5 and Demarini Voodoo. Son is 14, 5'3", moving up from small diamond 2 1/4 barrel, to the big diamond and 2 5/8 barrel with -3. Used a 31/21 Voodoo 1/2&1/2 last year. Single and double hitter. Strong body core, with quick hands. Does the Easton S1 come in a -12? My son is 11 and small for his age, and definitely more of a contact hitter. Should he get the Easton S1 as opposed to the Easton XL1, however I cannot find it in a 30/18. Jim R
My son is just under 4' 9" and 72 lbs. Tall skinny 9.5 year old and yet to show power. Most charts have him at a 29". I would like to get a few seasons out of this bat, so I am leaning towards a 30".
