Pros: This bat is the real deal. I got this bat last week and took it out to practice and used it in a inner squad game. Hits better than the VOODOO and any wood i've tried. I hit one off the fence. I did not think it was possible with bbcor. By far the best bat for the price.

Cons: Really none. Don't be fooled by the price and the fact that it is a cheap EASTON TYPHOON. NO CONS TRUST ME.

Pros: It's like looking at and going out with a chick who's hot and down to earth, and fun to be with, and then seeing another chick who's also hot, drives an expensive car, carries bling and equally fun to be with, but you know you'll be spending some serious dough, for exactly the same thing...

Pros: First of all, the price for such a reputable bat from a company like Easton was too good to pass up. My son has a BESR Easton Hammer, and he lit up middle school and 12U travel ball pitching this spring/summer with it. He went to Cooperstown and used a teammates BBCOR and hit a 315 foot shot and was SOLD. So, this will be a welcomed addition to his bat bag! Great bat at a VERY good price!

Cons: None so far! I don't understand why on earth someone would pay almost $400 for a BBCOR bat when this one and ones like it from Easton or even a good old-fashioned wooden bat, can do the trick! Trust me, this bat is LEGIT!

Pros: Great bat. Its a little top heavy but when you swing it it feels light. Also, due to the fact that it is top heavy, the bat will drive through the ball. Big barrel. Nice paint job. Easy to identify.

Pros: I have hit with this bat numerous times now, and nothing beats this new BBCOR certified bat. It is much better then the new Easton speed bats and the Reflex. I went from swinging the reflex and the speed bats, having nothing hard out the infield; to hard line-drives to the outfield every game. WORTH THE 70$ AND PERFORMS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER BBCOR BAT!

Cons: None at all that I could find.

Pros: Looks decent.

Cons: Its sweet spot is almost non-existent, there is virtually no "ping" when you hit the ball (small issue), and it's just not that great of a bat. Compared to some other bats I've used, this one just pales in comparison -- it doesn't hit the ball very far. If you're a contact hitter though, this could be a mediocre bat for you.

Pros: Well, just got this bat and thought it was great, i was thinking about getting a new 200 dollar bat and relized with a few good practice swing i cam get a good bomb and the next day hit a home run with it, it is a really good bat and would suggest it to power hitters. The barrel is huge.

Cons: The paint chips and takes a little timw to get used to but other than that no.

Pros: We had to comply with BBCOR regulations for middle school in our county in NC, and I didn't wish to spend an enormous amount of money. This bat has RIDICULOUS POP, and my son absolutely loves it. For the money a voodoo would have set us back, we purchased a typhoon, a hammer, and a reflex, and he rotates all 3. All 3 are great bats for the cash!

Cons: I can't get him to sell his bats to Play It Again Sports so I can get him either an Omaha or a Voodoo now that the price has come down a little.

Pros: This bat is very nice. I like it. it seems to have average pop with the $100 and under bats.

Cons: Very noticeable endload. Don't listen to the people who say that it's balanced because they are liars. Also, the grip used is very cheap. I replaced mine with the rip-it grip. If you have the money to buy a bat over $100, buy it. All the bats under $100 are a joke, you can't have enough technology in the bat to make it above average without making it above $100.

Amazing Bat Average Joe player

Pros: This bat is great, and definitely worth the bargain! The bat is very well balanced, a rarity among BBCOR bats, and the ball bounces of the Typhoon with a considerable amount of strength. When I use the bat, it feels just like a wood bat (which I strongly enjoy). Instead of wasting your money on a $450 Mako, buy a Typhoon of equal caliber! Ps, for those of you who are wary of the low price, the price has nothing to do with the quality of the bat. The bat is neither used, nor is it a bad bat. It is simply a retired model, allowing for a very low price.

Brett
My son is 14 and looking for a good BBCOR bat to sart practicing with. He can use his CF4 for one more season in MN. What would you recommend for length? Shane
Length is usually based on the player's height and weight and our "Bat Coach" link at the top of the webpage can be a helpful tool. A 32 will be most common for his age group though.
Brett
Does this bat have more pop than the demarini distace? shortsopap
Well, it's hard to say. The only versions of the DeMarini Distance we have carried have been the youth and senior league models. From general feeback, the two bats are probably on par with each other in terms of pop and performance.
John

This is a BBCOR bat and will be legal in all leagues that allow drop 3 bats will 2 5/8 inch barrels.

Both are similar in design, one piece all alloy. The Typhoon has a great pop. Both would be great for a 15yr old.
Linda
Is this an approved bat for 14U baseball in IL? Jim
With the 14U rules, If the bat has the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp on it, he can use a lighter bat. If it does not have the USSSA stamp then it has to be BBCOR certified which is considerably heavier at a -3 weight. Or it can be a wood bat.
Linda
Is this bat USSSA approved for 2012? Does it have the USSSA "new" mark on it? K10
BBCOR bats are not USSSA approved. They are for high school and college play. Senior League and Youth bats will have the USSSA stamp.

I am 5'11" and 165 pounds. I'm playing high school ball and we are required to have BBCOR bats. What bats would you recommend for me, and what length and ounces? Eli
Based on your height and weight, I would suggest going with a 32 inch bat. We offer many bats that are BBCOR certified so it is hard to narrow down some specific suggestions without knowing more about what kind of hitter you are. Some of our most popular BBCOR bats right now are the Rip-It Prototype II, Marucci Black, Rawlings 5150, Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha and the DeMarini Voodoo, just to name a few. You can find all of the BBCOR bats we offer here: http://www.justbats.com/products/baseball%20bats~adult/approved%20for~bbcor/

What exactly does it mean when a bat is "Top Heavy"? And is this bat top heavy? Kidk22
When a bat is "top heavy" it has a slight end loaded feel to it. This means there is more weight in the end of the barrel and the weight doesn't feel evenly distributed. This bat does not have that end loaded feel. It will be more balanced.

Jennifer
My son is 5' and weighs 104 lbs. He is playing Babe Ruth league in Indiana. I think I need a 32" with a -8 or -10. Is that right? Are BBCOR available in this? SRM
Based on your son's height and weight, I would probably suggest going with a 31" bat. The bat can also have any drop as long as it is an all alloy bat (like this one) or has an alloy barrel. Only composite barrel bats are required to be BBCOR certified in this league. You will not find a BBCOR approved senior league bat. Only adult -3 bats are BBCOR certified.
