Out of a small Indiana town 50 miles east of Chicago, Hoosier Bat Company is quickly becoming the bat of choice for major and minor league players. If you want to be a Major Leaguer you have to use wood. Hoosier Bat Company makes an all white-ash bat, used by many major league players, and a patented three-piece wood bat, the WOODFORCE 2000. The WOODFORCE 2000 bats feature a unique design with an white-ash handle, hickory sweet spot, and maple on the barrel end. The barrel end of maple is approximately 2-3 inches; the hickory sweet spot portion is approximately 6-7 inches; and the remainder of the bat is all white-ash. This design provides a solid sweet spot that will not flake, while retaining the same look and feel as a traditional all white-ash bat. We began manufacturing bats in 1991. We have two bats in the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown – One is Sammy Sosa for the year he and McGuire were in the home run chase.
