dead bat dead bat player
Pros: good grip tape, cool colors nothing else really
Cons: This bat really lacks pop for what you would expect of a Louisville Slugger. I used that bat for about 6 games and then totally stopped because I would hit a lousy ground ball with it everytime.
Great Bat, It's All In The Boy Using It Ya Know! Fish coach
Pros: 28 / 16. Great Pop. My kid is ripping the ball with this bat. Don't know why person above complaining they are hitting ground balls. That sounds like a technique problem. Darn I'd love to put an automatic line drive bat in the hands of my whole team! Need some level of competence to make that happen though, no matter how good the bat.
Cons: None
Solid/Nice Balance EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI coach
Pros: Nice balance to the bat. Solid feel on contact. Compared with a Mako and Voodoo…this bat felt best in my son's hands. I suggest hitting several bats and pick what feels best. It is so subjective to each player. All bats have the same 1.15…so it really comes down to feel more than anything.
Cons: the durability question is subject…have had the bat for 30 days….but no cons so far.
Great bat with a great feel Baseball dad parent
Pros: Great feel and light swing weight while maintaining pop. My son has this in a 29/17 and a very popular orange bat that is a 28/17. He prefers the louisville slugger. Says it has a better feel both on the sweet spot and on miss hits. It has a high pitch ping when well hit while his orange bat makes a loud crack. Both bats drive the ball equally. You have 30 days to return it to the manufacturer for a full refund if you don't like it. He will be using this and keeping his orange bat as a spare. This is the best 2-1/4" youth bat louisville slugger has produced in a few years.
Cons: Although it doesn't affect performance, the LS logo on the end cap has already fallen off after only 100 hits.
louisville bob chambers player
Pros: bat feel good
Cons: dents way to easy
Attack review Cc coach
Pros: Great bat! My son has been crushing the ball with this bat.
Cons: Insides broke after several hundred hits. Sent back to be replaced.

Pros: bat has great pop and boys on our team have better bat control than some they have been swinging .very well balanced.
Cons: none
Great Bat Sean parent
Pros: POP - is the best way to define the bat...not end loaded.
Cons: None
Very Happy Ripken 11 player
Pros: Good feel on contact…nice balance. Forgiving sweet spot
Cons: sounds different than other composites…almost sounds dead on impact.
very nice bat coach dad parent
Pros: well balanced easy swinging bat with some serious pop. i got this bat in 30" 18oz for my 7 YO to break in and get used to for next year. i figured it would be a bit too big for him to use in the remainder of his games this year but after taking him down to the field and setting up the pitching machine and watching him hit just about everything some even making it to the fence which is a huge improvement over his easton reflex. he will use this bat for the last few games and im excited to see what hes gonna do.
Cons: made in china.
Sending back not worth it Steve F coach
Pros: This bat seemed to have a lot of good things for about a week. Ball just doesn't have the pop it had at first. My team used it and after a few weeks it seemed like no one was using it. I tried it last night and the bat felt dead. Players were getting the same results from their old bats. Hope the 30 day performance guarantee is for real.
Cons: Bat had great pop but seemed to go dead after a few weeks.
coach T
Pros: great feel, great colors, good warrenty, my son hit 3 homers with this model.
Cons: we are on the third one in one season, the replaced it 2 times, both times for sounding dead and finding a crack in the inner composite, they replaced it and it only took about a week after shipping it to them.

Pros: This was my first composite bat so the sound and feel was a little different, but what a difference it made on my performance! this is by far the best bat I ever swung! I lead my team in batting avg. and once I went 5 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles and a triple.
Cons: Nothing, the season is over so next year I need a heavier bat.
Amazing performance!!! Dig beck Coach
Pros: Bat performs like a great composite trampoline bat with the kid-loving aluminum ping noise
Cons: Bat grip wears out in 1 week only about 30 hits. Connector piece snapped after 2 years of use, not hit in cold weather and broken in properly. Lasted long but if there is a faulty in any bat someone else may have it could break sooner.

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
