Ask A QuestionMy daughter is 12 years old, but small for her age. Would this bat be a good fit for her? She is 5' tall and weighs around 90 pounds, but she does play a lot of softball in the spring and summer, will the bat hold up?
The -11.5 should be perfect for your daughter It will be lighter for her so she can get the bat around faster. The durability with this bat has not been a problem so it should hold up for her just fine.
My 12 y.o. daughter uses the Catalyst FP12C2 (31") as her "good" bat (and loves it). I need a similar length & weight & feel (& much cheaper) practice bat for use with pitching machines -- would this be a reasonable bat to consider for that purpose?
The Louisville Slugger TPS Catalyst Youth: FP12CY -11.5 Fastpitch bat would be a decent choice. The biggest difference is that the FP12CY is going to be a youth model and it is also an alloy design versus the composite design of the FP12C2.
