Pros: cool bat, like the new look still has alot of pop right out of the box.i cant wait till the fall season starts.
Cons: you really have to break this bat it in order to get that same distinctive sound like the 2011 xeno
Pros: Great Bat, we had the 2012 model in a 32" and decided we needed the 33", we received the bat the day after it was ordered! My daughter had a doubled header the day we received and hit her first highschool ball over the fence!!! Money well spent!
Cons:
Pros: This bat is everything it claims to be! It has made a huge difference in my daughters batting. She loves it!
Cons: None
Pros: Bat has the same Xeno cracking sound as the previous years. I personally like it. The bat was hot right out of the wrapper. The ball flies off this thing. My daughter loves it and all the kids with the black Xenos are jealous now cause they love the new design.
Cons: I just bought this bat for my daughter and now I want to get her a OneX and my wife is gonna kill me if I do. I guess I'll wait till spring.. ;)
Pros: Triples are the normal with this bat right now.
Cons: I'll let you know.
Pros: Hot bat right out of wrapper. My 11 yr.old is hitting deep balls to fence and very hard line drives. She loves it.Going to Atlanta this weekend to play can't wait.
Cons: None so far
Pros: My daughter was playing a team and their 3rd batter had this bat. They have played this team before and this girl was not a big power hitter. She had this bat and the first pitch our pitcher threw, she smacked and got a homerun!
Cons: NONE.
Pros: This bat has amazing pop and has a large sweet spot. The "breaking glass" sound the bat makes is sure to turn heads.
Cons: This is a warm weather bat, it loses some of its explosiveness in cool weather.
Pros: I researched composite bats for 3 months, before buying my daughters third bat since she was 13. By far this is the best bat she ever had. I have taken her to the bat wars events by the manufacturers, where she has tried 15-20 bats. This is by far the best bat she has ever swung. If your daughter is still playing rec ball, this is not the bat for her. The swing is the key to this bat, if the daughter is not taking lessons then you're wasting your money on this type of bat. To get the most out of this bat, the player must have a disciplined, consistent swing. The older and bigger your daughter is, the better this bat is for her. It is more suited for older, bigger players. The example is my daughter, who is 16 and 5' 9' tall weighing 129 lbs. She swings the biggest, heaviest bat Louisville makes for this model. Very pricey bat. Bless you parents who back your daughters with this type of equipment. I hope this helps in your decision.
Cons: None.
Pros: This bat is hot right out the box. My daughter practiced with this bat Monday and almost hit it over the fence several times. She is ready to travel this season.Great pop as well.
Cons: None
Pros: Best bat on market..hot out of wrapper.. ball flies off this bat.. 10u hits ball 150ft no lie at 100 pounds.. bat has never stung her hands. bat looks feel great. I LOVE this bat.. much better than any DeMarini bats..TheOne is the only bat that can hang with this bat. BUY THIS BAT IF U WANT HRs!
Cons: no cons.. its white so a little hard to keep clean. but it sure is pretty.
Pros: This bat has changed my daughters whole batting game, nothing is going past her, the weight and length are just perfect!
Cons:
Pros: my daughter just used it at her last indoor practice! great pop right out of the wrapper! i see lots of solid line drives this summer! maybe even a bomb or two!
Cons: make the grip the dark blue thats already on it
Pros: My 14 year old has only used the bat in lessons but it seems much hotter than the 2012 model.
Cons: Hope it doesn't snap in two like the 2012. We went thru two bats last summer.
Pros: Money well spent. Second Xeno for 12U player. Had a 2012, now have 2013 model. My daughter swears by it. It makes for a great swing.
Cons: None!
Pros: great
Cons: none
Pros: I purchased the 2013 -10 XENO due to my 8 Year Old daughters 2012 -11 CF5 busted. The XENO has great POP and the attention getting sound of a XENO.
Cons: Bat is not Nearly as balanced as a CF5, it has more of an End-Load Feel. This Bat is awesome, but will require some work to get back to a smooth Swing. Its all about Wrist Strength with the smaller girls with Bats that are not "Balanced".
Pros: Great bat! My daughter is 16. She's a power hitter and usually gets some good hits. The bat was good to go right out of the box. She loves the pop and hit three home runs the first weekend she used it!
Cons: The only thing I would change is the white grip. It was dirty and dingy after a couple uses.
Pros: I took the time to break my bat in. My first at bat I hit a triple. Love my xeno.
Cons: None yet. I have only used it in 1 tournament.
Pros: First at bat ripped a triple down right field line.GREAT POP!!!!!
Cons: Not having sooner.
Pros: Very good pop Love It!
Cons:
Pros: I want it.
Cons: Don't have it.
Pros: Great bat! Hot right out of wrapper!
Cons: Wish the bats finish was more durable.
Pros: Once I broke in my bat it had great pop. I hit 3 home runs the same day. It's a great bat and I find nothing wrong with it.
Cons: None.
Pros: Love the bat and it hits great!! Fast shipping!!
Cons:
Pros:
Cons:
Pros: Hot right out of wrapper with no break in needed. Great response to ball. Has the very distinct glass breaking sound. LOVE IT!!!!
Cons: ABSOLUTELY NONE
Pros: We love our Xenos!
Cons: Now illegal in the state of Oklahoma.
Pros: My daughter swung this bat "TWICE"...the first swing was a hard single. Her next at bat with the bases loaded, she swung the bat for the second time and thinking we had an extra base hit, it broke in half! No consolation to the team or my daughter! We had high hopes for it after having great success with the first Xeno. :(
Cons:
Pros: This bat rocks. If you don't believe it get one and put it in your girls hand. If she can hit you'll get your money's worth. It will not be the bats fault if she doesn't.
Cons: Hard to keep clean.
Pros: Hot out of the box. First at bat with new Xeno and took it over left field fence.
Cons: None.
Pros: great pop
Cons: after a week bat is illegal because o rattle inside of barrel, not good!!!!!! All we did was about 20 buckets of front toss. She is 12u 21oz 31length
Pros: Since we bought our first, the 2011 Xeno, we've been extremely pleased with the line. After a very successful year with the Xeno 2012, we moved up to the onex last year. My daughter hit a ball 40 feet further than her previous 220 ft shots. She got her first hit as varsity player with the 2013 replacement for the onex. She absolutely did not want to give up the onex. The bat endured repeated poundings by her and a friend without breaking. She's very happy with the 2013 Xeno. Her 34" 26oz bat swings much lighter and feels propely balanced. There's no vibration even when the temps drop near the low temp end for the bat. She loves the sound. She's looking forward to testing the 2014 Onex when she gets one this July 2013!!! We can't to see what inovations it will bring to the games. It will be her fifth bat.
Cons: None!!!
Pros: It cracks perfectly. If it doesn't hit a home run then it will hit a SOLID HARD grounder!
Cons: It gets dirty quicker then most bats and It feels like it's gonna snap!
Pros: It hits almost as hard as the 201w
Cons: I had my bat for four weeks (about thirteen games including two tournaments, averaging three at bats a game so no more than thirty-nine at bats) and my bat broke in half hitting the pitcher at my first plate appearance so the durability of the bat is not as high as the old xeno from 2012 (which lasted me for a full season before cracking but never fully breaking in half
Pros: This bat is amazing. I was first skeptical of louisville slugger after having my oneX recalled when I saw nothing wrong with the bat I was smacking home runs left and right and had no problem. This bat proved it was just as good and I highly recommend getting it. I got this bat as a replacement for free from the oneX. Cant wait to get my free xeno and oneX 2014
Cons: None
Pros: The bat is great! It does indeed increase the girls hitting distance, and it will give them more confidence.
Cons: It's not durable, but it does have a warranty.
Pros: My daughter loves this bat! Its her first composite bat and we are sorry we waited so long to invest in a good bat!
Cons: White grip.
Pros: Awesome bat! Huge sweet spot and no vibration. 12u daughter hit one off the fence first at bat!
Cons: Bat broke in half after the second game! 85 degrees here in Texas and the it did not last more than 6 at bats.
Pros: The bat is amazing, but it is the "Indian" not the "arrow".
Cons: My daughter has now broken 2 of these bats. No one else uses it and she takes excellent care of it. She is very strong with extremely fast bat speed.
Pros: Hot out of the wrapper! Took hits that were just hitting the grass to almost hitting the fence!
Cons: Bought it 3/11/13 and it broke today 4/23/13. For $300 I expected this bat to last at least 2 seasons. Extremely disappointed in the durability!!!! This bat has been discontinued so we'll see how the warranty is going to work....
Pros: I absoulutely love this bat. I used it right out of the wrapper and its as hot as any bat ive had. I have two stealths but nothing else sounds or feels like a xeno. Id definantly reccomend you getting one if you're debating it its so worth the money!
Cons: none what so ever
Pros: During hitting practice instant feed back when your not in the sweet spot. Great pop, very balanced!
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Hot out of the box, attractive graphics. My 13 year old had 2 of the 2012 models in 32" 22 oz. & 33" 23 oz. Lots of power, lots of bat speed, lots of batting practice, and lots of games on them. Love the product and results.
Cons: Bought a 2013 model on Saturday Feb. 23, broke in half on second at bat Sunday the 24th. Sent bat back on Feb 27 and got a receipt of delivery on March 1. On March 9, got a "denied" delivery notice. Never received packaging or bat back. Now no one wants to respond at all. Had bat for less than 24 hrs before it broke, going into the third month waiting for replacement.
Pros: Hot out of the wrapper, balls come off hard and crisp, Too bad its so hard to find! Definitely one of the best bats out there.
Cons: None so far, but heard durability at the connection was an issue. We'll see.
Pros: This an update on the Xeno. I am purchasing a second bat for my daughter. This time around she is getting a -9 (34/25), at her request. She used her last one approximately 2 years and a couple odd months, before she broke it during a game. She will not use any other bat except the Xeno. I would like to again advise parents, do not purchase this bat unless your daughter is playing at high school/elite level. You'll be wasting your time and money doing this. My daughter has been using composites like this for 5 years now. I'll be the first one to tell you, I wasted my time and money going this route. It wasn't till she started getting lessons at 14 that things sunk in and she started understanding the benefits of the Xeno.
Cons: none
Pros: Great bat with a lot of pop.
Cons:
Pros: Love it! Will never swing anything else. CF4 and CF5 feels like sponges now.
Cons: Glad it has warranty, already cracking and I've only had it a few months...
Pros: Big sweet spot. Breaks in fast and easy.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Bouncing off the fence, and I mean a couple feet higher and it's gone. First quality bat purchase. Had 1st over the wall HR.
Cons: White handle is brown after just a couple games.
Pros: Great pop
Cons: None
Pros: Love the bat, balanced, almost feels lighter than other similar sized bats. The ball explodes off of the Xeno. No problems with breaking as we have two on our team.
Cons: Paint chips off bat easily.
Pros: Absolutely the best!
Cons: None.
Pros: Got this bat after the OneX which I loved as much as my daughter, it was recalled. My daughter is 9. She is 5' tall but only about 80 lbs. Small frame. She hit the top of the 200' fence and almost went over. This bat is Hot but I believe the OneX would have been 20 yards over the fence. Still yet for a 9 year old to hit the top of a high school fence shows the pop on this bat.
Cons: None.
Pros:
Cons: Very disappointed! I purchased this bat for my daughter and after three short weeks the bat is dead. It makes a "hard" sound on contact rather than a "pop". Other players on the team have had issues with Louisville Sluggers and warranties not honored.
Pros: best pop on market NOT end loaded Best bat on the market, bar none.
Cons: sound
Pros: great bat love it i recommend this bat for every softball player !!!
Cons: none
Pros: has I great swing! my team last year loved it! it knocks softballs outtta the park! so happy with it!
Cons: NONE!!!!
Pros: Works very well until...
Cons: ...it cracked in less than one month.
Pros: Great bat, my daughter hit .571 in the PGF National Tournament with it.
Cons:
Pros: very well made
Cons: hevy cor
Pros: This bat is a pure confidence builder, My daughter was hitting bombs with 2013 Xeno she had 2 walk off triples with multiple RBIs to win tourney games.
Cons: Bat cracked after 4 months.
Pros: Nice pop from the start Nice balance and "feel"
Cons: Horrible durability. My daughter went through 2 bats within 3 months. Both bats broke at the rubber ring where the barrel attaches to the handle. It has to be a design flaw and for $300, these flaws should not exist
Pros: After buying this bat, I won't swing anything other than a Xeno. The pop is great!
Cons: None.
Pros: There aren't any.
Cons: Total waste of money. Bat didn't even last through the season. Bought it in February and was dead by June. If I could give it no stars on durability I would have.
Pros: Nothing as hot as this right out of the wrapper. It is not, contrary to popular opinion, 100% composite. This bat has alloy discs which is why it doesnt take any break in time. It also has the most flex of any bat on the market period. Basically a one piece that's been cut in half and sealed together with rubber. I've never swung anything so responsive. This bat will give your girl confidence, those first at bats will blow your mind...
Cons: Most expensive half-a-season bat you'll ever buy. It breaks. It breaks it breaks. It also is not "balanced". Part of the key to the power of this bat is that the weight is not evenly distributed. Gives even girls like me, who are mostly just contact hitters, a lot of extra "umph". So, not balanced, super breakable, tends to rattle, and die.
Pros: So far so good.
Cons: Not quite the pop I expected. Daughter is getting more pop out of her old cf-5.
Pros: Still has great pop and better than most bats out there as far as bat pop. Great weight distribution.
Cons: doesn't take much to bust it up. Its a Bust!! Several of my player's xenos broke at the sweet spot within 8 weeks of use.
Pros: Great pop right out of the wrapper! 2nd year using this bat in travel ball. It's holding up pretty well! No sting at all!!
Cons: Paint chipping a little where it says "XENO'
Pros: Good Bat! I Love the pop it gets when i make contact with the ball! One of the best bats ever that i have ever used! I have had this bat for almost 2 years and its still in good working conditions!
Cons: Cant use it in cold weather which is bad because i play travel ball and we play almost year round!
Pros: AMAZING pop. You could tell the difference right from the first swing.
Cons: It lasted a little bit under a year, I expected it to last more than one summer season and one school season.
Pros: I love the "pop" that this bat makes. It surly does turn heads. I swing a 25 ounce. It feels like I am swinging at nothing at all. There is no vibration when I hit the ball at the end of the bat.
Cons: In November of 2012 I got the 2012 version of the Xeno. In December I traded it in for a different weight, and because they didn't make the 2012 anymore they gave me a 2013. I used the bat for 2 games (about 8 at Bats) and it started to rattle. I got through the season with it. Then I sent it back to get replaced.I got it back in September. I got a new 2013 bat and didn't take it out of the wrapper till January of 2014. I went to an inside Softball practice and at my second practice the bat is now bent at close to a 45 degree angle, not broken, but bent. Time for a new bat…. again!
Pros: It has a nice pop and sound when the ball hits the bat. I'm able to get nice base hits with it also. The sound of the bat is great! Even my team mates on my travel, rec, and high school team ask to use it.
Cons: It's starting to chip and rattle. I think something on the inside of the bat broke and it rattles. The sweet spot and barrel of the the bat are starting to get loose for the handle of the bat, I;m scared it's going to break in half when I'm up to bat in a tournament.
Pros: It has great pop and I have had it for almost 2 years now. I hit 2 home runs with it and one of them was recent.
Cons: I don't have and cons
Pros: This is the best bat I ever had. I have had Demarini, Easton, Worth, and Boombah. I have it home runs with the Xeno bat but the other bats didn't have that good of pop to them as the Xeno has. After I got up to bat the first time I hit a home run, and after that at bat the coaches told the players in the outfield to back up. For being a older bat it is better than the new bats that I have seen.
Cons: They don't make this Xeno bat anymore, and it is the far best Xeno bat they have made so far.

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
