Pros: My boy love's it!! It made a big difference in his batting average!! The feel and pop is awesome!!! What makes this bat so unique is the weight balance. Now my boy is 10 (weights 60 pound) and plays with 12U. The average pitch is 50-60 mph, it doesn't take much to crush it with this bat.
Cons: None as of now..
Juan
Pros: Great bat; broke it in about 3 days (200+ hits) and then my son (10U-95 lbs) hit a 215 feet home run; great bat speed and amazing POP.
Cons: None
Mac
Pros: My son loves it all!!
Cons:
Max Allan
Pros: So far, GREAT!!! Great pop, very solid! First day out on the diamond it performed great!!! Alot of my sons teammates started using it also. Got a second one for the team, a little heavier than ours, for some of the bigger boys!
Cons: None so far.
Dave
Pros: Excellent pop, better than my 10 yr old's 2 yr old Easton Omen. Very good balance, and very light - he's just over 60 lbs and needed something light to get around on fast pitching. Much less "sting" on cold days than other bats. Bought the 29/17.
Cons:
Rock
Pros: Good pop sounds great feels very light
Cons: Shattered the bat in second game it was used
Coach
Pros: Hit great for a month
Cons: Broke in half during bp.
Roddy
Pros: Well balanced bat with great pop and its not completely broken in yet. Really pleased and my son who will be nine soon loves the bat. He hits really well with it.
Cons: None. White grip may bother some people but not a big deal for us.
8uSlugger
Pros: Light and well balanced. Balls have a nice sound coming off the bat. Better Pop off this bat than the other drop 11 catalyst Rather new and early in the season too soon to rate durability
Cons: Horrible grip cover color,
Mark Hall
Pros: Lightweight bat with a good balanced feel. Excellent Customer service and warranty provided by Justbats
Cons: Broke in half 3" above the tape after less than a month and only 4 practices. This bat was the 30" 28oz 2/34" model
The beàst
Pros: Its the best bat I ever had. I hit bombs with It. Keep up your good ideas and you'll make our money's worth.
Cons: No concerns
deuces
Pros: I love this bat for my 6 year old son. He is using the 27" 15 oz. and is killing it. He has just recently made the swap from the Easton Rival 27" 17 oz. He hit well with the Easton but he has so much more power with the TPX. Most of the bigger boys on the team are using the TPX and they are smashing the ball almost every at bat.
Cons: None.
Brent
Pros: Bat was great for the first 49 pitches.
Cons: Bat broke in 5 places after 50 pitches!!!! Just sent in for a new one, hope this one makes it threw the season!
Baseball Mom
Pros: The bat sends the balls flying. My son loves the bat and all his team mates want to use his bat.
Cons: One huge problem. Started playing ball in late April, Mid May and again in Mid June the bat cracks in half just above tape. Two bats in 3 monthes. With the price of bats I expect more.

Pros: HAS SOME DESCENT POP AFTER BROKEN-IN.
Cons: BROKE TWO OF THESE BATS IN 6 GAMES AND A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE BREAKING THESE BATS IN OUR 10U LEAGUE 30" 18 OZ.
dmdem
Pros: Light weight with decent pop fairly quickly out of the box.
Cons: Lasted about 12 games and cracked, almost in 1/2.
pee wee

Braden Bomber
Pros: Awesome bat, great pop out of the wrapper, my son plays 8u travel ball and really likes the -12, great bat speed and control. Went from hard ground balls to launching bombs.

Howary mena
Pros: Great! I love the feel
Cons:
The Catlyst John S player
Pros: The bat has a nice sweet spot for line drives and home runs.
Cons: Bat will sting your hands unless the barrel is hit. The bat broke when I got jammed on an inside pitch. And you do get a warranty for a brand new Louisville Slugger TPX Catalyst.
great bat, but.... w.b. parent
Pros: Great pop. Light. Huge sweetspot.
Cons: Broke after 2 months.
Very Good Bat Carlos Castro parent
Pros: My son is 6 and is average in height, the ball jumps off the bat. Several kids on his team tried it and their parents see the difference and they have ask me where can they get the bat.
Cons: The white grip.
Nice Bat 8U Coach coach
Pros: nice and light good pop out of the wrapper nice feel in the handle grip Barrel looks like a tree trunk
Cons: swings kinda end heavy boys seem to be hitting alot of balls on the handle when they didn't use to
So far so good Shooter parent
Pros: I picked up this bat for my 8 year old as part of a bat pack. He is 67lbs and we went with the 28/16. The bat is well balanced and he can get around with it quickly. It's got roughly 500 reps on it at this point and broke in nicely. The grip is fantastic and has a large sweet spot. My son got a hold of one during BP last week and put a ball up against a 240 yard fence in right center with this bat. All in all I feel like I got a good deal for it at $140.00. This was my first purchase from justbats.com and everything went very smooth!
Cons: Nothing so far.
Doug
Pros: My 11 yr old has been using this bat for almost a year now. Lots of games and LOTS of BP using real balls. He hits homeruns so he is hitting the ball hard. Hearing lots of breakage but not for us. Great pop. We are careful not to use it under 60 degrees.
Cons: none
Disappointed Mom Sarah Bee parent
Pros: Good pop. Balanced bat. But bat is defective.
Cons: My son plays on an 11u select baseball team. He is 98 lbs and 5'5". We had the bat for 1 month and it snapped in half at the first tournament. Never used it for batting practice. Only hit with it at practice and our first game. He liked this bat a lot. Hit well with it. Great pop. But, sadly, the bat is defective.
Nice Senior League bat for the price!!! William coach
Pros: Bought this bat for my 6 yr old to play 8u travel ball, and this bat has been a good one. Sound is weird and pop is just ok until you get 300-400 hits on it, then it comes alive. We have the 27/15, and it is just right for my son (60 lbs). We have owned several good bats, S1, Voodoo, S3, and this bat holds it's own with any of them which surprised me. His first Home Run on a 160ft field was with this bat, and he has yet to clear it with his S1.
Cons: Not much, maybe that the bat seems to have a strange balance to it, my son hits line drives over the infield consistently with his other bats, but seems to keep it on the ground a lot with this one. They are hard shots that usually go through the infield though.
Broke trent parent
Pros: light
Cons: broke after playing only 11 games snapped in two
Great Bat Parent of 13 year old player parent
Pros: -12 makes it very light and the bat has excellent balance and feel. You can easily detect the impressive pop on this bat. I didn't know if it really needed the break in, but we did work and soft toss as instructed on the video. Also, I left it in the bag when the temp dropped below 70. The bat has around 400 hits on it and is performing good. Season starts tonight.
Cons: None so far.
IT BROKE Ben Jugan player
Pros: its pretty light
Cons: Im in 13u baseball and i got this bat. it had okay pop for about 2 games. after a month it snap in half on a BUNT! The ball hit the barrel not the spot were it broke. It does not have pop and broke on a bunt, DONT BUY THIS BAT.

Pros: Good until it broke.
Cons: Bat broke completely in half...
flash in the pan Scott Akin coach
Pros: big barrel, good pop
Cons: weighed 1 ounce heavier than spec, started to rattle (I believe loose end cap) and had to return
great bat Jimmy player
Pros: Like the feel of it.
Cons: none
Great Bat!!!! Jeremy parent
Pros: So far so good! Because it is a drop -12 my son is able to get around on pitches with relative ease. Good feel, and good pop.
Cons: None so far. This is our second Catalyst and we will keep buying them.

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
