Pros: My 8 year son is hitting the ball harder and further than he ever has. Switched from an Easton SV12, and I see a noticeable difference in his power.
Cons: Expensive bat for a Little League player.
9 year-old All-Star
Pros: Our 9 year-old love this bat. He is hitting the ball harder and further than ever this year. We were looking for a CF4 (youth) and the negative comments made us go with the TPX EXOGRID2.
Cons: A bit pricey for a youth bat.
their just kids
Pros: my 9yr old loves this bat. has good pop great balance.
Cons: small sweet spot, price
Coach Swing Plane
Pros: Good bat. I picked it up for a good price for my son. It has good pop, a good sweet spot, and he likes the way it swings, and feels on contact.
Cons: The list price. Don't expect your spending $200+ on a bat to turn your child into Harmon Killebrew. A nice bat can slightly help a good hitter, but it's the player who makes the bat...not the other way around. ;)
Nobody Knows
Pros: NONE
Cons: No pop whatsoever. My friend likes it, but that's probably because he always swings and misses.
coach dad
Pros: looks nice good grip nice pop to it
Cons: During the second game of the season my son hit a triple and left it with a ding it didn't seam like a very hard hit or anything. Afterwards remembering about the warranty I wanted to trade it in but if you read the FINE PRINT ''it doesn't cover small dings and there bats are made of ultra thin walls to maximize performance''. By the way YOU pay shipping for a chance that it might be exchanged. In the end I say it's an ok bat if you got the money to keep buying a new one. cost too much and didn't last very long.
cano
Pros: Good pop hits good good grip.
Cons: I had the black one it dented after 2 weeks shiped it off got this one then it got a dent in it after 4 months.
A-man
Pros: Nice pop...
Cons: Terrible quality...full of dents after using in only 2 little league games (7 at-bats). I would not have bought this bat if I'd known. Have used a TPX for two years before this bat, and not one dent in that one. This one is awful
Jack
Pros: Awesome bat- Jack batted 9 for 10 in the tournament he played that weekend- Bats got pop!!!
Cons: Everybody wanted to use it!!
j rod 7
Pros: none.
Cons: This bat dents VERY easily. I would not reccomend this bat for anyone like me who will smash the ball and is 12.
price
Pros: good pop to the bat and good grip
Cons: way pricey for a youth baseball bat
ACE
Pros: great pop love the way it comes off the bat
Cons: NONE
bat user
Pros: it works great nice pop to it and the price is wroth it
Cons: it is awesome
CoachD
Pros: We bought this bat last fall, and used it heavily for a year. This was the best bat my son has ever owned. Durable, has great pop, and he loves it.
Cons: Soon every kid on the team will be using it.
"The Kid's Dad!"
Pros: The Exogrid has awesome power when you connect with the ball in the kill zone. It outperforms the Demarini Voodoo when the ball hits the sweetspot. The look is very classy and much more tasteful than the VooDoo.
Cons: When you mis-hit the ball it doesn't go as far as some of the other bats out in the market. You have to hit it on the sweetspot to get power on the ball. My 8 year old son prefers the Lousville Ohmaha. He likes the Exogrid just not as much as the Ohmaha Alloy bat. Maybe it's just because the bat needs time to break in. So far it's an okay bat, but I was expecting more power from it even on mis hits. My eight year old is actually hitting better with his Ohmaha. It's Good bat from an outstanding company. His words exactly are he's not sure about it yet.
Chito
Pros: This bat was perfect for my 7 years old that play Machine Pitch. This ball has a lot of pop and I really mean it. The ball can go real far when you hit it with this bat.
Cons: It only last for 2 seasons because of a crack. I could not get another EXO Grip2 because the did not have a another one in stock but L.S. sent me a Vertex. which is not at the same level of the Exogrip
espn2jo
Pros: Very balanced bat...my 65 lb 9 year old is now hitting rockets into the gaps with this bat..for being a hybrid bat, the ball jumps off it as if it were a full composite bat...
Cons: Wish the bat were a different color, but performance wise the bat has no cons...
NASTY
Pros: GREAT BAT!! GOT IT UNDER CLOSEOUT PRICE, NORMAL 240, GOT IT FOR 99. IT WAS A MODEL THAT'S 2 YEARS OLD BUT ITS STILL NEW!! 9 YR. OLD LOVES IT! USED IT FIRST TIME AT REC. LEAGUE TRYOUTS, HAD PEOPLE TURNING HEADS FROM OUTSIDE THE FENCE ASKING WHO THAT WAS!! LETS GO!!
Cons:
Bubba
Pros: Used this bat while training over spring break. Bat speed increased along with the velocity oh the hits. The bat held up well during batting practice.
Cons:
big dog
Pros: I hit my first homer with this bat, it is a great bat. My dad received a text from one of my friends dad's saying he heard my hit. It has a great sound and is top notch.
Cons: None, I got it on sale.
D_thor
Pros: Has great pop at first.
Cons: I hit a bomb and it dented. Then they sent me a new one and I used it in one game and hit it off of the handle and it bent really, really bad.
EGP
Pros: Bat has great pop and a very cool design
Cons: Construction of the bat was flawed dented after first tournament. However louisville slugger's warranty is awesome and is replacing the bat as we speak.

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
