X12 Joe parent
Pros: None
Cons: This bat is not anything you want. No pop, and sounds terrible when it strikes the ball. I have only seen this bat with 3 or 4 other players and watched their at bat. Just like my daughters. No transfer of energy. I ordered it as it had a greater drop weight to pick up some more bat speed. Ordered a new Xeno now that it is in a drop 11. She went right back to hammering the ball with the Xeno. Do not waste your money on an X12.
fell good tory steffes player
Pros: best bat that you can ask for. I just got this bat and it the best bat i have had so far. The hits are smooth it well help you get that good hit you want.
Cons: have fun with this i know you will
LV Bats A.A. player
Pros: Great bat. Daughter getting better hits, worth the money.
Cons: None
No Coach coach
Pros: Girls like the feel of the bat especially the light weight and extra length.
Cons: No pop. I have a couple of girls that bought this bat that are smaller thinking they could get the same results as the regular Xeno. It does not have the pop that they do. I have tried to break them in by using them for batting practice but still can not get the ball out to the outfield very easily. would not recommend this bat for what they are asking for it.
dead bat out of my money coach
Pros: not much
Cons: no pop bad sound. like hiting wet rag
Not a bad bat J.W. coach
Pros: smaller girls generate more bat speed, and better bat control with the -12 drop.Good for developing swings. No bat sting when the ball is hit below the sweet spot. durable composite construction has held up with no sign of cracking. Same material as the Xeno, only thinner and without the s1id barrel technology. bat has good pop when hit on the sweet spot.
Cons: Takes a while to break in,but has decent pop out of the wrapper. Not as much pop as a Xeno, but not expected for the retail price in comparison.
Softball Family None parent
Pros: This bat is getting great hits for my daughter. She is a little smaller 12 yrs old she gets great swings with this bat and great hits.
Cons: None yet. Everyone wants to use her bat, which is great with us.
not alotbof pop scott coach
Pros: It is a cool looking bat and my DD hasnt complained about any sting
Cons: No pop in this bat. DD was swinging another bat that she was getting better hits with.
GREAT BAT SOFTBALL FANATIC parent
Pros: This bat has great feel and helps my daughter hit much farther with confidence. This bat is a must have when you want a light weight bat to gain bat speed but still hit the ball hard.
Cons: NONE but you child will want to play more once they hit this bat!
Absolutely No Pop Jim coach
Pros: The X12 has nice balance and looks great.
Cons: This bat has no pop! My daughter plays on a 12u travel team and I bought this bat for her thinking that she would get the benefits of a composite bat without the $300 price tag. Very disappointed! After 2 tournaments, I got her the 2015 Xeno (which is now the same price as the x12) and saw immediate results. The ball jumps off her bat. I would not even recommend the X12 for the weekly rec league player.
Looks nice, not durable Tom parent
Pros: My daughter says the bat feels good to swing and it looks great, but about 30 games into the travel season her coach stopped her while on deck, checked the bat and sent her to get another one. when I got my hands on it and shook, it sounded like a one bean maraca. After working out the warranty situation, we received a new bat pretty quickly. good warranty!
Cons: Problem was...after no more than 100 combined balls soft toss and tee with 6-8 balls with live pitching, the bat has loose stuff shaking around in it. Brand new bat. Not a very durable bat in our experience.
awesome!!! monica noe parent

Good Purchase Ed parent
Pros: I ordered these bats for my triplet girls who play 10U softball. So far, the girls like how the bats feel and the contact they are making. The process from order to shipment was simple and quick.
Cons: They have only had them for 2 weeks, so it is hard to know what will happen going forward, but so far so good!

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
