Description
Marucci takes pride in turning top quality wooden baseball bats in the same tradition and precise technique of the earliest bat companies. Every Marucci (CUTCH22YB) bat is cut, calibrated, balanced, buffed and lacquered by hand. Marucci uses top grade Maple billets cut from selected, naturally grown trees in Pennsylvania forests. This selection process insures the highest possible grade of wood for each bat. Marucci bats are 100 percent handmade or turned in small batches from an original design, then finished and detailed by hand. Each model is made to exacting specifications maximizing balance and ease of handling. Marucci uses an Ultra Penetrating Stain that provides the best possible finish for your next Marucci Bat. Most impressive is the Bone Rubbing technique that they use. "Boning" bats began in the earliest days of baseball with players like Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. These Hall-of-Famers would spend hours in their dugouts rubbing their bats with old cow femur bones. Bone Rubbing closes the wood`s pores, compressing it and making it harder. Marucci uses the same technique on their bats, rubbing before the finish is applied to seal and harden the wood. Just another example of how Marucci takes the same pride in their bats as our baseball heroes once did. Experience the excellence of a Marucci Bat. Free Shipping! Pros: My 10 year old loves this bat after the first swing. Has good pop. We were worried about being heavy but it swings about as heavy as his 19oz.
Cons: Non
Son loves it JohnPaul OConnell parent
Pros: My son was really excited to get this bat. He's been wanting a wood bat for a while so we finally agreed on this one. After taking it to the cage for the first time he said he liked it just as much as his metal bats.As for me i was worried about the weight thought it might be a little heavy, but not the case he was swinging it just as well as his other bats. Couldn't be happier with it, love the sound off the bat.
Cons: None
Cutch22YB Maurice Williams parent
Pros: great bat, feel kind of light so I got -3 bat for my 14 yr. old which I thought it would be heavy
Cons: none
Drew
Pros: Well balanced Well built Good pop Looks awesome My 7 year old started using wood bats last year, and now that he's got some experience using a wood bat, we got him this Marucci. He instantly fell in love with it and hit his first homer with it, over straight away center. Ball flies off the bat, and like others mentioned, I was worried about the weight. My son had no problems swinging with it though. I would definitely recommend this bat.
Cons: Honestly, none.
Amazing Youth Wood Bat!!! Josh coach
Pros: This bat is so well balanced thanks to the large tapered knob. It makes the bat swing very well for youth players. My son's jaw was dropping today at the cages because he was hitting the ball so hard with this bat! He couldn't believe that he could hit that well with wood. It is such a high quality piece, the finish is flawless and it is great to support such a great player like Andrew. Great job Marucci!!!
Cons: None that I can see so far. I can't attest to the overall durability, but I'm sure if your kid can keep the ball on the sweet spot, it should last as well if not better than any other wood bat out there.
Tracy Tracy Thompson parent
Pros: My son loved the wood bat. It was a perfect fit, size snd weight. However, it broke in the tournment. Last game of the day. We purchase all of our bats from Justbats.
Cons: We returned it for replacement.
Shattered after using it for 8 at bats. Dan Colucci parent
Pros: Looks good
Cons: Badly shattered on a hard hit foul ball. My 13 y/o got 8 at bats out of it (plus BP)
regret started on delivery day Team mom parent
Pros: NA
Cons: I opened the box and handed to my son whi was next to me when i opened it. The paint started chipping as soon as my son spun his hand around it to feel it. Not what we were expecting at all with pop or getting nsync with his stance. He said it feltt akward, with two different bat grips and then with no grips with gloves.
Great youth wood bat Warrior Coach Coach
Pros: Balanced feel. Good bat for kids used to swinging a metal bat. Good pop for a wood bat.
Cons: I had to apply a lizard skin grip to make it "feel" like metal bat.
WOW!!! 1st Day Dingers!!! D. Fisher Parent
Pros: Purchased the Cutch 22YB - 30" inch for my 12 yr old son (4'-6 1/2" 93 lbs and strong for his size). He plays LL and USSSA Travel Baseball and has a very good swing. Brought it home and let him swing the bat just to see how he would handle the weight and if he could generate good speed without too much lag. He swung it...and l mean whipped it!!!...And loved the feel! I wrapped the handle in a dual colored 1.1mm Lizard Skin grip, and off to the field we went. I let him hit a couple buckets just to get used to the bat. Third bucket - SEE YA!!!!! Cleared 200 ft fence a few times with no problem!! Perfectly balanced strong bat with just enough end weight for excellent pop and to carry the ball on contact! Any kid with good mechanics and swing speed will crush the ball with this bat!! Made a believer out of both of us the very first time he used it!! Good wood Marucci!!
Cons: No worries so far
Decent pop...but broke in 2nd game Jamie H Parent
Pros: Bat had decent pop. Good price
Cons: Handle is pretty flared toward the bottom which my son didn’t like. Played in one wood bat tourney and the bat broke in the second game.
Good first wooden bat Christian Wrather Parent
Pros: Lightweight, generating a lot of bat speed. Medium sized grip fits 13 yr olds hands very well.
Cons: Not sure how much it affects overall hitting but after a round of hitting, you can see impressions of the baseball stitching on the bat. So far, bat has made it through 100-150 balls.
Dingers Aaliyah Gonzales Parent
Pros: It has a smooth solid hit, works great!
Cons: None
Try something else Darren Del Grosso Parent
Pros: Nice finish on the bat. Well balanced
Cons: The bat broke in half on the second at bat of the game. Pitching was only in the mid 50's.
