Pros: Son plays 9U Elite Ball. We have bought 3 new bats in the last month in an attempt to replace a 2011 Rival 29/19. We bought the Marrucci Team, Worth Lithium Prodigy and the Easton S3, all 28/18's. All 4 of these bats are good solid bats that I have seen my Son hit well with. The Ball does have a more distinctive ping off of the Rival, S3 and Worth Prodigy. The Marucci Bat sounds flat, almost like a composite. But the ball comes off with plenty of pop. Bottom line if your looking for a big barrel you can't go wrong with any of these bats. No problems with any of them denting and we use these bats for BP and games. Just close your eyes and pick one.

Cons: The Ball sounds flat coming off of the bat. Almost sounds like a composite bat. Definitely different sound than the CAT5 or other similar alloy bats.

Pros: This bat was brought into our competitive team by the coach but figured it was too big (32/22) for the kids. My 10 year old (moving up to 11U this fall) gave it a shot and it is amazing. More end weighted and generates a great amount of power. He normally swings a 30/18 Easton S1 but it is no comparison to this bat. So don't be too scared of the big size as it swings like a much lighter bat. My boy was not the power hitter he used to be until he started using this bat recently.

Pros: Looks great! It had high reviews so we purchased the bat with great anticipation to see it in action.

Cons: 40 pitches into a BP session, and it dented. The dent looks like my son hit it with a hammer. I thought he was going to cry! He was crushing the ball with the bat, but it did not hold up.

Disappointed Buyer

Pros: It looks good but that's about it.

Cons: Bat cracked during the first tournament that my son played with it. No big deal, things happen. I figured that maybe out of all the bats that Marucci manufactures, we just received a faulty one so we contacted Marucci for the warranty exchange. We received the replacement bat and my son was so excited to break it in. He took it to practice to break it in. His second time at bat during practice, we heard a dead sound as the ball was hit off the bat. When my son's coach picked up the bat to look at it, the new bat was REALLY CRACKED nearly all the was around the sweet spot. This bat was cracked so badly that we just simply went ahead and broke it in half. I know for sure that we will NEVER EVER PURCHASE ANOTHER MARUCCI BAT EVER AGAIN!

Pros: My son is in 10U and he loved this bat for it's balance and weight. It had a lot of pop and was easy to make good contact with the ball.

Cons: It cracked along the skinny part of the shaft at batting practice after a week. We have sent it back for a replacement so hopefully no problems with the new one. 3 stars due to the crack but otherwise a 5 star bat.

Pros: has good pop, if you are lucky enough to get one with no problems

Cons: the end cap on the original bat that we bought flew off the first time my son used it with his hitting coach. sent it in for warranty. they sent another one and within the next month the end cap on that one was coming loose. luckily they sent another replacement ( each of which were still in the wrapper). the second game of the season the bat shattered. there is two 10 inch parallel cracks through the sweet spot heading towards the handle. piece of junk. never buy marucci

Pros: None.

Cons: After one BP session, in the first tournament, with only two at bats into it, this thing literally exploded. I realize we are talking 13 year old players, there are some strong kids, but this is the second Marucci Team bat that broke apart like glass in two weekends. If your son has better than average bat speed and is facing solid AAA-Major pitchers, don't buy this bat.

Pros: Good looking bat, but that is about all I can say good about it.

Cons: 2 days after getting bat and second at bat in practice this bat cracked almost the whole length of the bat. Now it has been over 2 weeks since I have returned the bat for warranty and they still have yet to ship me a replacement. Now I know why my boys only have DeMarini. I will never buy another one of these bats ever again!

Pros:

Cons: The bat cracked after using only in 6 games. Now we have to send it back to the manufacturer. Also, another player on the team had the same bat and it also cracked after a few games. He had it replaced and the replacement also cracked!! Seems there must be a problem with this bat! 3 of these bats cracked within 2 months of purchase.

Pros: Bought this bat a few weeks ago for my 9yr old son. It's his first year of kid-pitch. This bat has been HOT for not only my son but for many of the boys on the team! When my son first used it, he couldn't believe how little it vibrated his wrists. It seems to be well balanced and made well (despite the boys banging it on home plate when they get up to bat). Love the bat-gets lots of deep hits! Plan to get a longer one as my son grows.

Cons: Color scheme :0)

Tyler
Which bat would you recommend between this bat & the rawlings 5150 for a power youth hitter, will be looking at a 29'' pk
Both the Marucci Team and the Rawlings 5150 would be ideal for power hitter. The Rawlings 5150 is a little more balanced.
Kara
I am wanting a larger aluminum bat for my son for Fall ball. At first I wanted a cat5, but now I'm looking at the Marucci Team. He has been using the Easton S1. It's hard to determine bat size, because the charts don't seem to fit; he just turned 8, is 4'2" tall, but is a solid 105 lbs. Despite his weight, he is athletic, and I would say he is above average, having played both league and travel ball. RAM
Typically, based upon your son's height, weight and age a 28 inch to 30 inch bat is recommended. If your son's bat speed is already really good I would recommend going for the 30 inch bat size.
Jeff
Hi, I'm interested in a one-piece alloy bat for my 12 year old son. Would like to know the differences between the Easton S3, Marucci Team, and Rip-It bats. Which is more durable, which has better balance, bigger sweet spot, better pop. George
The Easton S3, Marucci Team, and Rip-It Prototype are all top of the line one-piece fully aluminum bats that are very comparable in performance and weight distribution. Here is a link to further compare the three great bats. http://www.justbats.com/compare/
Tom
My son is 7,a little over 4ft and about 55-60lbs. He used a Rawlings 5150 27/17 last year which he and I both liked a lot. I like how the Rawlings was balanced and not as concerned with power and distance as I am about velocity and bat speed. Between the new Rawlings 5150/5150 velo and the Marucci Team what would be recommended? Or is it a toss-up between the three? Jeff
It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate. Thus, the Rawlings 5150 is the best choice for your son.
Tyler
Is this bat made with the same aluminum that the cat5 is made with? Also, I noticed you have it available in a 2 5/8" and 2 3/4" barrel, is this correct? Adam
The Marucci Team Series are made with a newer AZ3000 alloy that is going to be a little more durable. Yes, the Team Series is available in 2 5/8" and 2 3/4" models.
Tyler
How would you rate this bat against the CAT 5 and the Worth Lithium Prodigy? Adam
The Marucci Team: MSB210 Black Senior League replaced the CAT 5. The Team is made of the same material and will be similar in performance and quality. The Worth Lithium Prodigy is also a one-piece bat that is very high performing. You really can't go wrong with any of the bats.
Kara
Would you recommend this bat for a 9-year-old that is of average height and weight? He has been using an Easton S3. Bags
The Marucci Team: MSB210 Black Senior League bat will be very comparable to the Easton S3. They both are one-piece alloy designs with very balanced swing weights. I would recommend a 29" model based on his age.
Aubrey
What's the warranty on the Marucci bat( MSB210 Black Senior League? Big Poppa
The Marucci Team: MSB210 Black Senior League has a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty.
Tyler
I'm looking at a 30" Marucci Black, Marucci Team or Easton S3 for my son who plays 11U travel ball. He is a contact hitter with above average to fast bat speed. He is currently using 29/19 Easton S3 with a 2 3/4" barrel. He is having success with S3 but often complains about vibration on mishits. What bat if any of these would you suggest for him? Soxfan325
It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate. Thus, the Easton S3 would be the top recommendation. However, if vibration reduction if of higher importance, the Marucci Black is recommended as it is a two-piece design with better sting/vibration reduction.
Tyler
Is this bat going to have as much pop as the Easton S3? #6
The Marucci Team: MSB210 Black will have similar pop to the Easton S3. Both Senior League bats will be one-piece alloys that feature the USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp.
Mac
My son currently is using the Easton S3. He has been doing well with it however it seems to have lost its "pop" and is pretty badly dented. He is also using an Easton Rival from two years ago that we love but it is also starting to lose its "pop" and has a few minor dents. Do you recommend trying this bat? He is a big kid at 5'4" and 140 lbs at 11 years old. He has been using a 31" 21 oz. bat. I have seen this bat at tournaments and the kids were hitting bomb after bomb! Thanks! Jstarra
The Marucci Team: MSB210 Black Senior League would be an excellent choice for your son. It will be similar in feel and performance to the Easton Rival and Easton S3.
Kara
Is this bat BBCOR? tim
The Marucci Team: MSB210 Black Senior League bat is not BBCOR Certified.
Brandon
Is this bat BBCOR? tim
No, the Marucci Team: MSB210 Black Senior League is not a BBCOR certified bat.

How much of a difference will I experience by moving to a Senior League bat from the Junior Big Barrel CAT 5? I understand the durability will be better, but will the pop be the same? big pop
The Marucci Team: MSB210 Black will have thicker walls than the Junior Big Barrel CAT 5 and increased durability. Junior Big Barrel bats have better performance than Senior League bats, but they are not designed for pitch speeds over 40 mph.
Mac
Is the Marucci Team: MSB210 Senior League bat legal in 11U AAA Select baseball? Our only requirement is to have the USSSA 1.15 stamp. I don't know what the Senior League means on the bat, so I'm not sure if it's legal. RW
The Marucci Team: MSB210 Black Senior League bat features the new USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp. "Senior League" is just another name for "Youth Big Barrel" bats on our website.
Mac
Would a Marucci MSB210 be balanced more like Rawlings 5150 SLR234 or a 5150 VELO? JAY
The Rawlings 5150 Velo will feel the bit more balanced then the Marucci Team Senior League or the Rawlings 5150 SLR234.
Chad M.

The Marucci Team: MSB210 Black Senior League bat would be at your door in a guaranteed 5 business days if you use our free shipping.

Damon
Would you recommend MSBT10 2 5/8 barrel or MSBT210 2 3/4 barrel for a 11 year old? I assume the bigger barrel has more hitting area but was not sure how they taper down to the handle. Thanks. J's Dad
The 2 3/4" barrel on the Marucci Team: MSB210 Black Senior League will provide a larger hitting surface. If you league allows the bigger barrel, we recommend to use a 2 3/4" barrel.
Kara
My 8 year old son is 4'3'' and 55 lbs. What size bat should he be using? Also what are the pros and cons between 21/4'' and 2 5/8'' barrel? Is it just more hitting range? KMAC
Based on your son's height and weight, we would recommend getting the Marucci Team: MSB210 Black Senior League in a 28''. A 2 5/8'' barrel would offer a bigger barrel for more hitting range.
Tori
Is the USSSA 1.15 stamp the same as BPF 1.15 stamp? shannon
Yes, the USSSA Stamp features the new thumbprint mark that indicates the bats meet the standards and do not exceed the Bat Performance Factor (BPF) of 1.15.
Justin R.
Is this bat good for cold weather? rv29
The Marucci Team (MSB210) Black Senior League can be used in colder temperatures.
Kara
Is a 2-5/8" bat better than a 2-3/4" or is the only difference the hitting surface area? Coach
The only difference will be the hitting surface. Performance wise they will be the same. We always recommend checking with league rules first to see if your league allows the 2 3/4".
