Description

New for An American-made icon in the slow pitch softball game, the Miken Freak is back and engineered to drop more bombs than ever! The Freak Plus is your classic USSSA approved Miken Freak. Not a whole lot of time was spent coming up with new technologies for this bat, and not a lot of marketing dollars were spent on the graphics. That's why Miken is able to give its fans everywhere an incredible bargain on the Freak that they know and love! There are a few things that make a Miken Freak a Miken Freak. First and foremost, its one-piece composite design made from Miken's exclusive aerospace grade carbon fiber. Secondly, the composite barrel features Miken's legendary E-Flex Technology that produces maximum flex throughout the entire barrel for unmatched performance. Finally, those composite barrel walls are fully released when you receive the bat. This is due in part to Durashell Technology that produces hot-out-of-the-wrapper performance and helps the Freak maintain its industry-best durability. Miken: We Don't Play the Game, We Dominate It! The Freak Plus is approved for play in USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Unwrapped at first game.First swing of the year on the first pitch 290 ft. home run. 2nd at bat line drive to fence. 3rd at bat, off the 300ft center field fence. Can't wait to see what happens after I get a few hits on it.

Cons: Other people on the team want to use it

Pros: My bat fell out of my car, got run over by a truck and still had some pop. This is a great bat. I can usually hit pretty hard but, this bat felt amazing when the ball was hit solid. My first game with this bat, I went 4 for 4 with one to the fence (and that's after it got run over). With other (broken in bats) I can usually go further. It felt a little stiff but I think it just needs to be broken in. Just by the hits and the feel, I can tell this is gonna be hot once it is broken in. I can't wait.

Cons: I would normally say the break in period since past miken bats usually take about 200 at bats to break in but...I'm pretty satisfied the way it is and feel it will only get better...so, really no cons to report.

Pros: Got in about 5 good swings when bat got hot

Cons: Took 60 swings hitting batting practice with 44 core 400 compression balls and bat had 5 cracks in it already. Used for 2 weekend tournaments putting about 60 more sings on this bat and the bat had about 30 cracks, and actually snapped at the handle the last swing. So with around 120 swings this bat was completely busted up. Very dissapointed with Miken for this product. Worst bat ever had or ever took a swing with. Lasted 3 weeks from date of purchase

Pros: Great pop for the $$ and perfect for all fields hitting, put 150-200 soft toss swings on it and first game hit everywhere will power and had a 330 foot HR

Cons: Non yet, if temp is below 50 degrees keep it at home. Not worth breaking

Pros: Hit well right out of the wrapper, ball jumps off nicely. It's not too bad right now, but I can't wait to get a few hundred swings on it. The old Plus was my favorite bat for USSSA. Lets see if this stacks up...

Cons: It has the normal Miken pop and distance but this bat sounds and feels different for some reason.

Cons: Nothing so far...

Pros: This bat DOES TAKE A WHILE to break in BUT this bat spits FIRE. Will turn a "base hitter" into a HR hitter. In one BP I used an Ultra II and this bat and to be honest with you this was HOTTER than the Ultra II, the Freak + I used was very broken in but it was spitting FIRE. I hit the fence (300 ft) with a half power swing

Cons: I have heard horror stories about durability but I learned that if you rotate the bat in BP on EVERY SINGLE swing that will extend the life of the bat. In regular games I stick to one side of the bat for each season to get that side hot

Pros: The Ball jumps off this bat after about fifty good swings. I am not a particularly big guy, but can easliy hit between 310 and 330 over a 14ft fence. Definetly a good buy.

Cons: No cons yet for this bat. My only hesitation is that I did break 2 of last years FREAK +. Its like a bad habit I just keep coming back.

Cons: just got it. so time will tell

Pros: I have really enjoyed this bat since I bought it back in December. Mine has not yet broken in all the way and I can hit it out at will. The base hits are hard line drives that make people move out of the way.It has great feel, pop, and distance. This bat is great for the price and I will be getting another one soon.

Cons: I have about 4 to 5 spots on the bat that looks like cracking but I cannot tell. Many other players are telling me that it is the paint cracking and not the bat, but who knows. I guess we will find out. I do play every weekend so it has a bunch of hits already so its possibly cracking. I would still suggest this bat for any player.

Pros: Love the pop! Good action right out of the package. Homered in my 2nd game using it. Several players on my team either use mine or one of two other new ones others Recently purchased. I always put an extra leather wrap on the handle because I like a wider diameter on the grip. Glad this is sanctioned by all 4 organizations as our league next year is moving to ASA sanctioned bats only, while the City allows ASA or USSSA bats.

Cons: None.

Cons: It took a while to break in for me but i got it in fall of last year and straight out of the wrapper.

Freak Plus BK Taylor player

Pros: Looks and feel good

Cons: Bat will not break in (over 200 hits) and it sounds like "dink." Sent it back to Miken for "testing" and was advised that their "in-house" hitter said it felt good to him and they returned the bat. Who cares if it felt good to him... he didn't waste money on it. I was a Miken user up until now, but that's not customer service. By the way they advised me in the first place to send this back. I see why the bat has been discontinued from this seller.

About the Brand

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.

Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.

The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
