Ok Bat. Shawn coach

Pros: Bought the 30/17.5 for my daughter for 10u in March. It is now May and the bat is starting to really get hot with over 500 hits. She loves the feel of the bat and the pop it has. The bat is hot and has lots of pop, but the sweet spot is very small. Awesome color and graphics as well. You WILL need to break this bat in. It will take at least 200-250 hits before this bat will just start to come alive. I recommend an adult hit balls off of a tee while rotating the bat 1/8 with every swing. This will speed up the break-in process of this bat. Compared to the Xeno, the Xeno does have more pop, but the drop ratio of the Halo worked better for my daughter than the Xeno.

Cons: Sweet spot is very small. If you miss the sweet spot, it will sting your hands. This is the only complaint my daughter has. Other than that, she loves it.

Broke after 6 games Shannon Z parent

Pros: My daughter loves the Miken Light - when it's not broken. She has now had two snap off above the handle in the past month. She's 11.

Cons: The 2013 bat snapped off an inch above the handle after just three tournaments. Miken sent the 2014 version as the warranty replacemement at it broke off about 2 inches above the handle as she was hitting soft toss at practice tonight. :( She had only used it one, 6 game tourney. :( Crazy disappointed kid will have to borrow a bat - again - for this weekends tourney. Expect Miken will not replace, so just out the money.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Miken Halo Light Fastpitch Softball Bat: FHAL12? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What is the difference between the 2013 Orange Miken Halo Light and the 2014 Miken Halo Light besides color? Also, is this a Multi-Wall Bat or a Single-Wall Bat? James
Miken has not indicated that any major changes were made to the Halo Light models between 2013 and 2014 Miken Halo Light (FHAL12) Fastpitch, but material blends typically feature improved durability between models. Both models feature single wall construction, but a Multi-Layer Biaxial barrel design for improved durability.

Does this bat have to be broken in or is it ready to go? Dianne
The Miken Halo Light (FHAL12) is a one-piece composite bat. We do recommend a break in because it has a composite barrel.

About the Brand

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.

Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.

The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
