The Nike Aero MC2 is a two piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The Nike Aero M1 is a one piece all alloy bat. The MC2 will have more flex to it and is often preferred by players who may not generate as much power. The extra flex with create more bat head speed through the hitting zone and my add a little extra something to the player's swing. Most of the time, a stiff one piece bat liket he M1 is preferred by stonger, power hitters who don't necessarily need to generate more bat head speed.

The MC2 was one of the better BBCOR bats I've hit with. I also really liked the Voodoo BBCOR, but it felt really good to swing the MC2. I may give the MC2 a slight edge, but the Voodoo isn't far behind for me. I few other great BBCOR bats I swung and got feedback on are the COMBAT B3 and 52 Caliber, the Easton Omen and Rip-It Prototype.

A lot of power hitters prefer one-piece bats like the M1. However, it really comes down to personal preference, but many power hitters prefer the stiffer feel of a one-piece bat.

Yes. Both the Voodoo and Nike BT0633 have alloy barrels and composite handles. There are some differences in the exact materials and manufacturing processes, so they aren't the exact same. The Nike BT0633 is one of the best BBCOR bats I've hit with. The Voodoo shouldn't be overlooked though and is right up there in terms of performance. The Nike felt very balanced and really good when I was swinging it.

This is going to be one of the better BBCOR bats that we have. This bat is a two piece bat that will be more for a power hitter. The two piece design will not have as much flex as a one piece design.

These bats are still going to be legal for high school play. Nike came out and said that this bat is underperforming. This bat has not lived up to what Nike thought that it would.

Each bat has it's benefits. The MC2 is a balanced two piece composite handle, alloy barrel hybrid. The Rip It Prototype is a one piece all alloy design. Vibration reduction in the handle. The Cat 5 is also a one piece all alloy design with a nice balance and large sweet spot. All three are great bats, just a matter of what your preference is.

Depending on his size, if he is strong, then I definitely would. If he is on the smaller side, he could go with the USSSA marked bats and move to like a -8.

The MC2 is a 2 piece hybrid, with a composite handle and alloy barrel. It has the long barrel design but has a nice balance to it. The Rip It is a 1 piece all alloy design, so it will swing and hit quite different from the MC2. It will have a slightly stiffer flex to it. The Marucci Black is a 2 piece hybrid, with the alloy barrel and composite handle also. It has a nice balance to it also. All 3 offer something a little different, so it will come down to what type of hitter you are, contact or power.

That really depends on what kind of hitter you are, or if you prefer a one or two piece bat. The EXOGRID2 is a one piece alloy design, while the Nike MC2 is a two piece hybrid alloy barrel/composite handle design. Usually power hitters prefer the one piece design since it is pretty stiff and helps with their hits, while contact hitters prefer the flex that is offered with a two piece design. Since both bats have an alloy barrel, the "pop" off the bats will be pretty similar. Both are great bats and you can't really go wrong with either.

Wow, these are two very popular BBCOR bats. Picking between these will be very tough to do. They both have alloy barrels and composite handles making them a two piece bat which favor contact hitters. No matter what bat it is, I always recommend trying to avoid that "team bat" status. If you and your teammate both use it in games and practice...just think...that's double the usage and it's lifespan will be reduced because of it. If it doesn't last a full season (which it may or may not) it is covered under a one year warranty through Nike and they will be able to replace it for you. I always liked it when my bat was "My Bat"

We would need to know what bat your son has used previously with the most success. It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate.

There is truth to that statement. Nike produced several batches that weren't as high performing as customers expected them to be. However, though product research and testing (hitting in the batting cages) here at BatWarehouse.com, we did not find the Nike Aero MC2 BBCOR: BT0633 to be sub-par at all in terms of pop. It's still a good choice for those needing a BBCOR bat.

The Nike Aero MC2 will be a little more evenly balanced compared to the DeMarini Voodoo which has a slight endload. The CF5 is a two-piece composite bat, where the MC2 and Voodoo are two-piece hybrid bat. It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate. Thus, the DeMarini Voodoo is strongly recommended.

Is the only difference between the Nike mc2 an Nike cx2 that the cx2 is full composite? I am 5'8 150 and can't decide which Nike to choose. Is there a difference in swing speed or anything? What would you recommend for me? Steve
The MC2 is two-piece with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The CX2 is two-piece full composite. Both have similar swing weight. It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate.

The Nike Aero MC2 BBCOR: BT0633 White Adult and its hybrid design will have pretty good pop. I would say the Easton MAKO, DeMarini CF6, and Marucci Black are all more popular. All of the bats will have great pop.

All bats can lose their "pop" over time. But composite barrels tend to improve slightly in performance over time until the eventually crack. As I had referenced in the last QA, the MC2 was a two-piece hybrid (alloy barrel/composite handle) and the CX2 was fully composite. Both offered balanced swing weights. Typically, a balanced bat is better for a contact hitter or "slap" hitter, but it totally depend on what that particular player is comfortable with. To my knowledge, Nike did not produce a one-piece fully composite model (which would make it comparable to the CX2 with the M1's design).

Unfortunately, I would not know of a location where this Nike Aero MC2 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BT0633 White) could be purchased immediately. I would recommend looking to EBAY if you want to find this bat. There is a shot that a used model could be set up for sale from an individual vendor.

The exact reason for a bat being discontinued is never given to us by the manufacturer, but typically they discontinue bats once the new models for the next year are released. It would still be a good option in 2017, yes.
