Description

In 2001, a similar style bat to the PH73 was used to break the all-time single season home run record when 73 round-trippers were hit out by a single player. That's where the PH73 got its name, and it continues to carry on the tradition of power hitting to this day. This bat has a medium 2 9/16 inch barrel that tapers down to a medium 15/16 inch handle. The large flared knob at the end acts as a counter balance to the barrel and helps players whip the bat-head through the zone. With Pearson Bat Company, you're getting a bat that the manufacturers themselves would actually swing. That sentiment carries a lot of weight, because Pearson was started by former Major Leaguers with over 36 years of combined playing experience. Pearson uses hand picked Canadian rock maple and a state of the art CNC lathe to turn the most consistent maple bats in the business. The rock maple that Pearson uses results in a harder bat than traditional white ash bats and is more resistant to flaking, chipping, and breaking. Each bat is meticulously hand sanded, hand finished, and almost looks too good to use! Once you get this bat in your hands, you`ll never want to swing anything else. Pros: very clean look. first day using it in the cage today with about 350 pitches off and on with the rip-it prototype ii and i feel way more comfortable with this than any bbcor metal. extremely balanced and with a loud crispy sound (more balanced and felt lighter than the rip-it). really forgiving for wood. ive had a trinity birch, demarini black comp, marucci ap5, louisville slugger pro stock ash, and a zett ash in the past, but none of them have had this kind of response. it may sound ignorant, but no joke, it has the feel and response of a metal besr. ill be sticking with this from now on

Cons: none. im surprised this bat hasnt gotten more attention

jake

Pros: really smooth lookin bat. also feals very light while having solid wood that should last a while. the handle is really thick and gives it an old school feel. the knob is bigger than it seems on the computer but i like it because i always end up taping my bats to be bigger at the knob. this bat takes a few rounds to get used to but once your accustom to it you will love it. swings easy.

Cons: sort of an unconventional design but chances are you will after a nice hitting session
