Pearson yellow birch results in a harder bat than traditional white-ash and is more resistant to flaking, chipping, and breaking. It also has more flex to it than rock maple. Because of this, the yellow birch bat is like a hybrid of ash and maple, taking some properties of each type of wood. The PH243 is typically the favorite bat of your conventional power hitter. Its' large sweet spot and thinner handle lead to tremendous bat speed with big time pop at contact. Even with the large sweet spot a -2 to -3 length to weight ratio is maintained for a well balanced feel. Each bat is meticulously hand sanded and finished and almost looks too good to use!
