Pros: Lots of pop. Best balanced bat on the market.
Cons:
Pros: Had to replace the 5150's we hit that aren't legal anymore and there is no drop off except not as loud yet. Rawling makes a great bat.
Cons:
Pros: 1st time purchasing a Rawlings bat. Bought this for my 12 yr old. He says the bat is very well balanced and has a stiff feel with lots of pop. If you have ever swung the Easton Rival orange and black bat it has more pop than that.
Cons: None
Pros:
Cons: Bought this bat for my son and after two games the bat already had a dent in it.
Pros: Good balance, lots of pop.
Cons: Dented 3rd time out under the 1st 5 in 5150 on a inside pitch. Rawlings warranty return is 3 weeks behind. As of today they do not have a status on the warranty. Very disappointed all around with Rawlings Bats. Replaced a 2011 5150 that we enjoyed very much but not legal any longer.
Pros: I recently had a Worth Prodigy, and now it is in a triangular shape, but I bought this bat for my new 2012 travel ball season and I am at my best point yet. The ball flies off this thing. Rawlings made a great bat.
Cons: Nothing
Pros: Bat has great pop, son loved it. Waiting on warranty
Cons: Bat dented on second use in 2 places just below the 5.
Pros: great bat i love this bat its awsome has great pop buy this bat
Cons:
Pros:
Cons: Bat dented with in 2 uses of this bat. Dealing with Rawlings warranty has been a nightmare. They keep telling us it's on backorder yet I can purchase it from many different sites. That doesn't make sense.
Pros:
Cons: I purchase this bat in January and this is my second time being replaced due to denting. The first time I sent it back it took 4 weeks to get a new one which I didn't understand because they were shipping out new ones all across the country. Now for the second one they are saying 2 weeks. Still Frustrating! I would not buy this bat!
Pros:
Cons: Could not list any pros since my son did not get a chance to hit enough balls with it. Dented in two places during second BP session. Sent it in for warranty two weeks ago and they are telling another 2-3 weeks minimum.
Pros: Well balanced, which makes it easy to swing. Great sound upon contact. My son 12 year old son loves this bat and has been hitting BOMBS with it!
Cons: End cap seems like it is coming loose.
Pros: Hits awesome!
Cons: I am returning my 2nd bat with dent problems. Rawlings replaced the first one. Hope they help me with the 2nd
Pros: Very good pop right out of the box!
Cons: Dents way to easily, runs out of pop very quickly.
Pros: Well balanced bat.
Cons: Replacement bat dented faster than the first one. It dented so bad we are afraid to use it for fear that it will collapse and fold in half. Rawlings Warranty replacement on first bat took 7 weeks. This bat is junk. replaced it with a Easton Surge (30/20)and have been hitting the ball 30 yards further. Will never purchase a Rawlings bat again.
Pros: 1st time buying a Rawlings bat. has good pop.
Cons: In the first month dented 3 times.
Pros: WOW!!!!!
Cons: A GOOD BAT FOR POWER HITTERS!!!!
Pros: Great Pop! But, on our first bat it dented after 2 practices. JustBats did a great job on overnighting one to us for the AAYBA World Series. Kudos to JustBats for customer service. Used the 2nd bat for 8 games and several lessons with no issues yet.
Cons: Dents easy
Pros: awesome bat nice power especially for someone with speed that needs power perfect match
Cons:
Pros: 1st time buying a Rawlings. Looked good, son said it felt good, sounded solid when he connected, but.....
Cons: 1st time out at batting practice - 9U, slow pitch machines and coach pitch. Bat has 3 dents just below the 5. Also looks like the red paint / coating is coming off around the dents. Have contacted Rawlings warranty manager. Waiting on reply. Bought bat 2 DAYS ago!!! At this time, no way I could recommend buying this bat
Pros: Purchased for my 11 year old last year. Great bat smashed the ball hard all the time. This year getting one for my 9 year old for his baseball season.
Cons: Does dent but works for the season and cant argue with the price
Pros: Just got the New Rawlings 5150 Velo a couple weeks ago. Have not used it in a game but son 10U loves the pop. Can't wait for game action.
Cons: On the second batting practice with me pitching to my 10 y/o son at about 54-56 mph he noticed two significant dents at the end of the extended barrel. We will contact Rawlings today to send it back. What seemed like a wonder bat now has holes, or dents. Will update on the return process.
Pros: it has the best pop out of the bat.
Cons: nothing
Pros: have used many different but 5150 is the best, hit first homerun with it and have hit more since ball flies off bat
Cons: bat dont last as long as other bats loses pop quicker
Pros: Hot bat perfect for younger kids !
Cons: None yet best bat out and we have them all
Pros: Great Balance, nice pop, good value.
Cons: Film on the bat seems to peel off easily.
Pros: This is a great bat! My son is 8 and has increased his power with this bat, the ball jumps off of it.
Cons: None....so far.
Pros: Great bat its hot
Cons:
Pros: Lots of pop! My 6 yr old is crushing the ball. He loves the feel of the bat in his hands.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Great pop, but didn't make it 3 hours before breaking.
Cons: Did awesome in the cage for hitting practice, but my 10U son broke it at the first practice. Fingers crossed on replacement.
Pros: I love the pop this bat has when my son connects with the ball.
Cons: I see nothing that could improve this bat. Its a great bat.
Pros: Great bat for select players. Great pop, good balanced bat. My 11 year old loves it.
Cons: Slight dent but that is somewhat normal with power hitters.
Pros: Great pop, durable and great customer service from Rawlings. My son used this all last year and put a few dents in it. Sent it back to Rawlings and they returned a new SLR234 which I gave to my younger son. It split on the barrel after 2 games. Sent it back and wasn't sure they'd do anything for me. I asked if they'd replace it with the SL51V and they did! Rawlings really takes care of its customers.
Cons:
Pros: There are flaws in this bat. We've gone through 4, yes 4, in just 2 months. Even the new 5150 didn't make it 2 weeks with a friend's kid. My son is 10 and has destroyed 3 of these in that time period and other boy on our team broke his.
Cons: Dents, end cap comes off or massive cracking (pictures to prove it). Great pop, but you'll be a regular at UPS returning this bat. Unfortunate as my son loves this bat, but it won't last but 1-2 weeks.
Pros: fast bat speed, well balanced, lightweight
Cons: none
Pros: I bought the 28/18 for my 9 year old twin boys. They love it! Its got a great fill and some sick pop. I highly recommend it.
Cons: None
Pros: This bat is very solid. I played with it through senior year of highschool and freshmen fall season. Great pop and lasts a long time. Loud ping sound to let everyone around you know that you just crushed the ball.
Cons: End cap is not to durable.

About the Brand
Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.
The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.
In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.
In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.
The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.
Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
