That's because it is harvested from the bottom of the plant, rather than the top where many bamboo bats come from. The overlaid maple then creates a toughness that is unmatched by any multi-wood baseball bat. This bat features the popular 271 turning model with a 2 1/2" barrel and a 15/16" handle.
