The 271MBV Composite Wood Bat is made with a high-strength bamboo wood core and overlaid with rock hard maple. The bamboo that Rawlings uses is the most durable bamboo available for commercial use and can endure up to twice as much punishment as previous models. That's because it is harvested from the bottom of the plant, rather than the top where many bamboo bats come from. The overlaid maple then creates a toughness that is unmatched by any multi-wood baseball bat. This bat features the popular 271 turning model with a 2 1/2" barrel and a 15/16" handle.
