Pros: Really balanced and not top heavy like other bats, also my son has been hitting the ball much harder with it! He loves it!

Cons: Would like to see a different color on the handle, the white gets really dirty.

Pros: 1 BP so far. My 5ft 100 lb 12U son hit 4HR last season just put 4 over the fence out of 50 pitches, a couple of which were DEEP. Not just homers either, more than a handful of hot one hoppers to the fence. This bat really transfers energy, will help a good player get great results. Serious pop right out of the wrapper. EXTREMELY balanced. My son says it swings lighter than his 2011 Exogrid 30" -8.5 and the Rip-it is a 31" -8.5. 1 inch longer and swings lighter, that's what I'm talking about. We tried it because of the 30 day return. We were going to get the new exo but he wanted to try this and WOW is all I can say, it wont be going back.

Cons: Red or even tan grip would have been better as this one is already not white anymore. I don't care though, this bat is well worth the money.

Pros: None.

Cons: Just ordered this bat my son used it for 3 games, it ended up with 3 big dents. RIP-IT sent me another one just like it, my son used it for 2 games and it also ended up with 2 huge dents in it. He had the red RIP-IT bat last year and I will say it was a good bat and we didn't have any problems with it. It was just time to get a bigger bat.

Pros: This bat has incredible pop, just like we read about.

Cons: Unfortunately, one month after using the bat, something detached inside and started rattling. RIP-IT replaced it. Unfortunately, the new replacement RIP-IT bat BROKE IN HALF when my 13 year old boy hit a fastball during a game, leaving all bewildered. RIP-IT refunded our $ no problems.

Is this bat leagal for Babe Ruth league 13-15 yr olds? Mr.BBall
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype is legal for use in Babe Ruth 13-15 year old leagues. Since this bat doesn't have a composite barrel, there are no size requirements or stipulations for it.
Jennifer
Other places describe RIP-IT bat as 2 5/8 or 2 3/4 barrel diameter. Which is it? huh
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype has a 2 3/4 inch barrel.
Kara
Is the bat 2 3/4? I thought USSSA only approved 2 5/8? DFW
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype: B1385 Senior League bat has a 2 3/4" barrel diameter and is also USSSA approved. USSSA approves both 2 3/4" barrels and 2 5/8" barrels. However, some leagues do not allow 2 3/4" barrels to be used.
Austin
Does this come in a drop 3 or not? zeike
Senior League bats are not a-3, only adult bats. The 2012 RIP-IT Prototype II BBCOR: PROB2 Adult is a -3.
Kara
Why are there so few 2 3/4 drop 8 or 8.5 options? Do you expect more? How would the Rip It compare to the COMbat 52 Caliber? Dr. Evo
There aren't as many option available in that size because most players using the -8 or -8.5 will use the 2 5/8" barrel. The Rip It Prototype: B1385 is a one-piece fully aluminum bat, whereas the COMBAT 52 Caliber is a one-piece fully composite bat.
Tom
Does this bat sound like a wood bat? and is it balanced? nick
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype: B1385 Senior League is slightly endloaded and sounds like an aluminum bat. It does not sound like a wood bat.
Tyler
My 13 year old is a smaller, contact hitter and uses a balanced bat. Is the RIP-IT balanced or more weighted at the barrel? at51
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype is slightly end loaded, so there will be a little more weight towards the end of the bat.
Nick
Is the -8.5 more end loaded that the -10. Aside from the obvious, I'm wondering about the difference between these two bats. Jeff
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype: B1385 Senior League will be balanced like the -10. Both are made of the same high grade alloy. The only difference is the drop.
Kara
Two questions. We have a 2012 RIP-IT bat. Does it lose it's pop? Going on second season now. Second question, if I buy the new 2013 RIP-IT which would be better for my son, the -8.5 or -10? He is 13 and a big 13 year old and strong hitter.Thanks. Crissy
Some bats can lose their pop after a certain amount of time. If he is strong, we recommend the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype: B1385 Senior League.
Kara
What is the difference in the new 2013 RIP-IT -8.5 and the 2012 -8.5? We have the 2012 RIP-IT and my son loves it but the last few games it seems like it is losing its pop. Is that possible only being a 2012? jason
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype: B1385 Senior League features new R1 Alloy for better performance and durability. It is possible for some bats to lose their pop after a period of time. Usually this is unlikely for a newer bat.
Kara
Is this bat legal for 2013 Dixie 12 & under? tito
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype: B1385 Senior League is not legal for the 12 & Under Majors Division of Dixie Baseball, as it has a 2 3/4" barrel, which is not allowed at any level of Dixie Baseball. The 12 & Under Majors Division requires a 2 1/4" barrel, such as the Anderson NanoTek XP: NANOXP10 Youth.
