Description

New for RIP-IT builds their bats around the idea that every player should LOVE their equipment. That's why all of their bats come with a 30 Day "Love It or Return It" performance guarantee. Seriously, RIP-IT will buy it back. The new Prototype -12 fastpitch softball bat definitely makes it easy to fall in love. Designed and produced in the U.S.A., the Prototype is constructed from RIP-IT's high-performance R1 Alloy with an Acoustic Barrel that is tuned for increased bat speed. Once you take your first swing with the Prototype, you'll notice two things: It is HOT out of the wrapper, and its grip is more comfortable than anything you've previously put in your hands. This incredible feel comes from RIP-IT's Ridge Grip that not only provides outstanding cushion and tack, but also completely eliminates sting from mishits. With a balanced feel and a lightweight -12 length to weight ratio, the Prototype will allow players to stay in control throughout their swing and generate a whole new level of power. Expect this to be one of the best alloy bats you've ever swung. And if it's not, send it back. RIP-IT: We Love What We Do! The Prototype is approved for ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA. It is backed by an exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: My daughter is on a 10 and under travel team and she is hitting the ball in the outfield and bunting better with this bat. She was using combat Lize Fernandez 28 and 18, now hitting with rip-it 30 and 18.

Pros: The "sweet-spot" in this bat seems pretty wide and it does have great "pop" when hit within the sweet-spot.

Cons: The bat seems heavier than listed. My 10u daughter is smaller than average and her swing speed was slower than with the old bat at the same weight.

Pros: Looks nice, when unpacking the grip had scuff marks, the girls liked the grip, but it could have been thicker.

Cons: Bat doesn't give pop noise, more like a thug noise, not as loud as a composite, like I heard on site.

Pros: Finish is great when it is out of box.

Cons: Balance like advertised. Sound of ball is like a thug, you have no feel when hitting ball. Finish only lasted 1 tournament and could now use a paint job.

What's a better bat for a smaller (56", 70 lb.) 10U girl the RIP-IT Prototype or RIP-IT Force Light? Todd
Both the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype: F1312 Fastpitch bat and the RIP-IT Force Light: FORL1 Fastpitch bat will be similar models. They both will be one-piece aluminum designs and offer -12 sizing. The Force Light will feature a vibration dampening grip and RIP-IT's beyond composite technology. Both bats will be very balanced in swing weight. Both bats will feature RIP-IT's Exclusive 400 Day Warranty.

Is this bat better than a composite bat? I am on a 12U travel team, and it is very competitive, so I need a bat that gets the job done. Minifuzball
Composites are almost always preferred over an alloy softball bat. The composites will perform better longer, and usually have more pop.
Noah
I'm 12 years old, 115 pounds, 5 feet tall and I'm currently playing on 4 travel softball teams. Based on my description, do you think this would be a good bat for me? I cannot decide between this bat or the 2013 Easton Alpha. Which bat would be best for me? Kelsey
Both the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype: F1312 Fastpitch and the Easton Alpha Fastpitch bats are very similar. Both are balanced and light swinging. If you are more of a line drive, contact hitter then either bat would work great.
Chad M.
Why is this bat on closeout already? BD
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype: F1312 Fastpitch has been discontinued. They 2014 models are expected to be released in July of 2013.

My daughter is almost 10 years old and is a line-drive hitter and is about to join a travel team. She needs a new bat. What would be better for her, this RIP-IT Prototype F1312, the Easton Mystique or the Mizuno Mirage. Her house league only allows one piece alloy bats CoachEd
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype: F1312 Fastpitch uses a higher grade of alloy for better performance and durability.
Kara
