Pros: Great pop, HUGE sweet spot. The ball seems to jump off the bat where I hit it. The graphics are also really neat.
Cons: None
Pros: very good pop! best BBCOR I've tried so far. Also pretty balanced weight distribution!
Cons:
Pros: More Pop than any other BBCOR bat we have tried.
Cons:
Pros: Amazing barrel, grip, and weight balance. I have tried all of them out there guys, this truly IS the best BBCOR bat.
Cons: Wait... this bat has cons?
Pros: Had the first ripit prototype and loved it. This one is just as good.
Cons:
Pros: great handle and grip.
Cons: very end weighted. unless there is a long breakin period, the pop is not what they say. Been using for two weeks a the college level.
Pros: Looks great but its more end loaded then the original prototype. It does not have as much pop as last years model
Cons: less pop then last years model. No wonder NCAA made them re-do it ...
Pros: Really cool design. Grip is great, and so is the feel when you swing it. Nice long barrel with a pretty decent sweetspot for BBCOR.
Cons: Pretty similar to the original PROB, but not quite as good. I like it though. No regrets.
Pros: Great pop. Smooth feel when I hit it. Better than other BBCOR bats I tried. Happy with purchase.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: This bat has a huge sweet spot, and most players on our team have made this their bat. What stands out the most to me is that the performance is consistent across the entire barrel, where most bats drop off quite a bit in performance when you hit a couple inches off the sweet spot.
Cons: None
Pros: Great looking and has a great sound. Got it for my son and he say's he loves it, feels great when hitting.
Cons: non so far.
Pros: Looks good
Cons: End loaded, and not even close to the performance of the original Red prototype. Back to the drawing board rip it
Pros: I was between a few bats, but chose to try the prototype 2 because of rip it's love it or return it policy. I figured I could return it and buy a different bat if my son didn't love it. 30+ days later, we still own the bat and my son says it is better than any of the bats his friends use.
Cons: None so far, but want to again thank ripit for the novel idea of letting players try the bat and return it if they don't like it.
Pros: My son absolutely loves this bat. Performance is great, and he thinks the grip is really comfortable in his hands. Thanks for the super fast shipping!
Cons: None
Pros: Well-balanced bat with tremendous pop. HUGE sweet spot. The grip is very comfortable and molds to your hand when you grip the bat...i feel like i get better bat control because of it.
Cons:
Pros: Solid, well constructed. Ball comes off well
Cons: Balance, End loaded
Pros: Very balanced weight, looks great, nice feel to the grip, great pop.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Best bat we have on our team. Hits as good or better than every other bat, and has a much bigger sweet spot.
Cons: --
Pros: Son has used many different high dollar bats, top brand names and none is as productive as the rip-it.Used to use easton bats only and have come to like the rip-it best.Felt that the new rules would really take the pop away but the new rip-it has plenty.
Cons:
Pros: FOUND THE RIGHT BAT FOR ME,I AM 5FT'10 225LB. AND LOVE THE POP THAT THE PROTOTYPE 2 HAS.GREAT JOB ON THE NEW 2012 LOVED THE 2011 ALSO.AT 15 LOOKING FORWARD TO MY SECOND VARSITY SEASON WITH THE NEW PROTOTYPE.
Cons: HAVE NOT FOUND ANY CONS BUT WITH THEIR 30 DAY POLICY I AM SURE I WILL BE FINE.
Pros: This bat hits a ton. Our high school team liked it so much coach bought 4 for us to use. Definitely the best bat out there.
Cons:
Pros: This is my second ripit bat (had the first prototype bat also), and I love the way they perform. Their customer service is also spectacular.
Cons:
Pros: GREAT FEEL AND BALANCE LOVE THEPROTOTYPE 2.RIP-IT 30 DAY POLICY PROVES THEY ARE CONFIDENT IN THEIR PRODUCT.
Cons: NOT SENDING THIS BAT BACK.
Pros: Great bat with a lot of pop. Best BBCOR bat by far. Also has a great grip.
Cons: none
Pros: Just got back from bat demo day. Put all the BBCORs head to head. Rip-It was hands down the best bat. I had the 2011 red recertified Rip-It and this is NOT the same bat. The white one is more balanced with a much better feel. I was returning the red 2011 Rip-It to the manufacturer, the Rip-It rep took care of me at the field!!! Now swinging and singing the praises of the New 2012 Rip-It.
Cons: No Cons-- Rip-It= Best BBCOR and Best customer service period.
Pros: great bat tried this bat at a sports expo among many other brands and found this to have the most pop and best grip.
Cons: have not found any ,and hope i do not as i am really pleased so far.
Pros: Great balance,Great pop,is by FAR,the best bbcor bat out there, and we have been thru them all.OUTSTANDING bat,And the people at RIP IT are top notch.Could not be happier.A++++++++
Cons: Wish we were the only team that has them
Pros: Has a good sweet spot, great feel and great balance. True top notch bat.
Cons:
Pros: hottest bat on the market. beats any other bat that i've tried. i'd recommend this bat to everyone.
Cons:
Pros: Has a good pop, helps the ball travel futher out into the feild. i think i have the edge
Cons:
Pros: Feels good. No sting when ball comes in contact with bat. Just what i've been looking for.
Cons:
Pros: Great sweet spot. Ball pops off the bat no matter where it comes in contact with the bat.
Cons:
Pros: Huge sweet spot. Great handle. Excellent feel. Top quality. Great product.
Cons:
Pros: I just got this bat and i used it and... There is absolutely no sting, tons of pop!!!! Looks really cool. Grip feels great. can get around on the ball really fast!! Even if you don't like (which shouldn't happen) you can return it within 30 days. Buy it!!!!
Cons: what is this talk about cons?!?!
Pros: customer service is great. I returned this bat and received a check within days. The bat how ever is not all that great. I truly have tried the Easton, Rawlings, Marucci, Rip-it and the Nike bats. Rip-it is not the worst of the bunch, but definitely not the best. Good marketing, most people will buy because of the money back policy and will never return it.
Cons: Bat does not perform $100 better that the $199 bats.
Pros: Durable, Great pop, Great Feel, No vibration, Beast pop on the market, Best BBCOR there is
Cons: NONE
Pros: AWESOME Bat! Really happy I decided to try this bat before I bought anything else.
Cons:
Pros: This bat probably has the largest sweet spot of any bat I've ever used. I mean no matter where I hit the ball off the bat it pops.
Cons:
Pros: Bought this bat for my son and he has been hitting really well since making the switch. The ball seems to jump off the barrel a lot faster than his other bats. His confidence has definitely increased.
Cons: ...
Pros: I throw a lot of BP and have many balls hit back at the "L" Screen. When someone when one of my players steps up to the plate with a Prototype I make sure that I'm behind the screen. Of all the BBCOR bats the RipIt certainly come off the bat harder.
Cons:
Pros: great feel, unmatched pop, great look and did I mention unmatched pop? Our team has tried all of the other bats...nothing comes close.
Cons: NONE !
Pros: Nice grip
Cons: No pop, very top heavy, bbcors are supposed to have a little trampoline, this has none. Not worth the price.
Pros: Just got this bat for Christmas and have taken a few rounds of BP. I love it so far great pop for a BBCOR
Cons: NONE
Pros: Purchased for Christmas present. Both my son and I feel it has nice pop when barreled up. Only used in cages so far but it may be a bit longer than 5150 on big hits.
Cons: Compared to Rawlings 5150 it is a bit more end weighted and a little less controlled. Also makes it slightly harder to get around on.
Pros: This bat has the best pop out of all bbcor bats out there. Long barrel, and a sweet one piece bat!
Cons:
Pros: Bat had good 'Pop' for less than 20 hand thrown pitches. Around pitch number 18 the bat broke. It sounds like a gravel pit when you shake it. We bought it on Friday and it broke on the following Monday. But out of the "less than 20 (twenty) pitches thrown" ,6 went over the fence.6 good hits divided by $280.00? Do the math I guess. I have the video.
Cons: See above. What a dissapointment. Good 'Pop' for less than 20 pitches with Diamond Back balls and it breaks. Now I gotta deal withthe frustration of sending back a ballistic aluminum bat for warranty...
Pros: G pa bought bat for 12 year old grandson great pop loves feel and balance . Hit a 300 ft. Shot in batting practice say a it hits like a besr bat
Cons: None
Pros: I thought going to a BBCOR bat would really reduce the pop...not with the RIP-IT...reminds me of the old VooDoo pop
Cons: Everytime my son swings the RIP-IT he literally "Rips It", thus the nickname The team gave him "Bacon Strip"
Pros: Good Pop and Grip is nice.
Cons: Too top heavy for me.
Pros: Good balance, best pop of BBCORs I have used, like the half inch size.
Cons: none so far
Pros: Like look & feel, heard great things ...BUT - see below.
Cons: I received the bat and handed it to my son who immediately noticed that losse particles were floating inside the bat. The bat has never even hit a ball. Due to popularity & backorders - it makes me wonder if shortcuts are being made in manufacturing & quality control. What could be loose in a new one piece bat? Very frustrating as the season for my high schooler is about to begin.
Pros: great balance and pop
Cons: season has not started and the endcap has already cracked during BP.It has been shipped off and hope this does not happen again
Pros: 30 day money back, awsome grip and good pop
Cons: 2 out of the 3 bats had loose end caps after being used for the first time!
Pros: Good bat. Great price. Son tried both cf5 and prototype 2 and went with prototype 2
Cons: Used bat for 2 months in tournament play and last tournament in first game son fouled off pitch and the end cap broke off. with out bat rest of tournament and we are on the west coast have to ship to east coast to return. going to be without bat for next tournament. End cap don't count against your one warranty claim, but if its a problem and they know fix it.
Pros: This bat is the best bat out! It has amazing pop and is the best you can find anywhere!
Cons: NONE
Pros: None
Cons: Bought 2 for my sons who play college ball. End cap came off both bats first time they used them. 3rd swing for one and 5th swing for the other. Never buy another. Sending them back for a refund.
Pros: good over all bat nice pop and evenly distributed
Cons: grip tape is a little thick other then that nothing
Pros: Its an amazing bat that has a bigger barrel than most bats out there. a little top heavy but is balanced well and has great pop for a bbcor
Cons: haven't found one
Pros: nice pop on sweet spot.. i recomend the easton XL1
Cons: small sweet spot lil top heavy
Pros: great pop, fly's well but i only hit 286 home runs this year:/
Cons:
Pros: Awesome pop, Amazing grip, and suprisingly really balanced, no better bat on the market BUY THIS BAT
Cons: NONE
Pros: works pretty good in BP when you can time the pitch...
Cons: really, really end heavy bat. once you get into a game and have to face some off speed stuff, you will not want to swing be swinging this bat. you'll end up at the end of the bench
Pros: best bbcor
Cons: top heavy and black end falls off. it has come off 4 times on our team
Pros: So far love this bat. Had Rawlings 5150 last year before I needed BBCOR. I was reluctant to switch brands, however I can honestly say this bat for me was the right decision. There is no majic bat out there, but if your mechanics are down pat this bat will complement your game at the plate. Bat feels great when hitting with a quality feel and balance.
Cons: No cons yet, except heard of some end cap problems with some people. Time will tell how well this bat holds up after HS ball and travel this year.
Pros: None
Cons: 1st round hitting with it the cap crack and broke
Pros: Good sweet spot
Cons:
Pros: Bat has good pop. Comfortable Grip. Good price compared to high end well known companies. With the guarantee how can you miss? Couldn't be more pleased with the purchase.
Cons: Little end heavy, but not enough to be concerned with.
Pros: - Great sweet spot - Well balanced - Great hit for bbcor
Cons:
Pros: Rip-It will buy your bat back if within 30 days you are not satisfied. Reasoning is, no one returns them. They are that good.
Cons: None
Pros: good pop nice grip
Cons: after 1 batting cage session already has 2 dents and now the paint is starting to chip
Pros: I have been coaching Major Travel ball since my son's were 8. My oldest is now a high school player and has been using the BBCOR bats. Although we miss the old Easton Stealth composites used when they were kids, this RIP-IT is the best we have found to date. We were using the Rawlings ALLOY 5150 but there was just no pop.
Cons:
Pros: Bought the bat for my son for xmas. 8th grade swinging a 33/30. Had a Surge last season. Ripit shipped me the red 2011 bat by mistake. Told me to keep it and sent me the prototype 2 that I ordered. Son absolutly loves this bat. His Cat5 is sitting in his room now and he is using the RipIt's exclusivly now. Everyone on his travel and 8th grade team wants one now. Has hit 3 dingers so far in 10 games. Closest BBCor to BESR bat out there. I hit the bat myself in BP once. I was shocked at exit speed and NO STING. Horror stories of BBCOR bats are a myth with the Prototype 2 IMHO.
Cons: Nothing. Would be even better if were just a tad more balanced, but with BP he got used to the slight end load. Awesome job RipIt. Negative reviews on this bat are CRAZY!
Pros: Reason for Rip-It's outstanding return policy is, that no one sends them back. They are that good!
Cons: None
Pros: Amazing pop. Best BBCOR bat I have hit by far.
Cons: None at all.
Pros: It looks pretty cool...
Cons: I've used a lot of BBCOR bats in my day, and this isn't very good. I can't believe they would dare put a stamp that says this is the best BBCOR bat. This bat wouldn't be in the top 10 BBCOR bats.
Pros: it's lightweight for it's size no matter what size you like. I actually got try it in store with a soar shoulder I had got that same day. It felt good.
Cons: There are absolutely no problems for this bat.
Pros: Good balance, nice looking and comfortable feel
Cons: Not a very druable design, end cap busted after 3 days of practice. Not a real good pop to it.
Pros: My son loves his ripit bat. Thanks to just bats for such quick shipping!
Cons: none.
Pros: Looks good, Nice grip but thats it.
Cons: Hit about 30 balls in practice and started hearing something loose inside. About 20 more hits and the end cap busted. Sending back for a refund. Bought a Voodoo.
Pros: This bat has a big sweet spot and a lot of pop.
Cons:
Pros: This bat had a ridiculous amount of pop. It was fantastic right out of the wrapper. It was the best bbcor bat on my team.
Cons: My first Rip-It took about 50 hits before the cap popped off twice. I sent it back and in just 3 at bats with the new bat the cap was broken and is dangling.
Pros: Real smooth and tremndous pop. ball seems to fly off minumum 10mph faster off the bat.
Cons: Bought this bat day before opening day and on opening day the cap popped off. The following day I called to return it and they delivered a new bat within the next 3 days.
Pros: Seems to have good pop for a BBCOR. Good sound off the bat. Nice looking design.....
Cons: Very end loaded feel to it. Players on my son's team were hesitant to try it because it feels heavier than some bats. End cap breaks easily.
Pros: good pop and well balanced until something happened
Cons: first 10 swings the end cap snapped in half and flew across the infield not a durable bat at all
Pros: Good pop, good grip, and large sweet spot.
Cons: End cap busted off on it while taking batting practice....dad called the company and they said they were trying to fix the problem because it has been occurring lately....wouldn't advise the bat b/c of the endcap issue.
Pros: return policy ..... cant beat it...sweet to hit.. not top heavy..keep making them. just bats.. awesome..
Cons: none
Pros: Great grip,alot of pop
Cons: Foul ball hit off of end cap and now has a dent, first time out of the pkg,So this is going back for a refund,Lets go with another bat
Pros: Bat has a lot of pop but we were disappointed with the construction of such an expensive bat
Cons: End cap came off after 2nd game
Pros: looks cool
Cons: Ive had two and havent made it through one game with out the cap flying off
Pros:
Cons: Bat is TERRIBLE! The end cap broke off during the second practice in the batting cages.
Pros: Great pop and feels great in my hands.
Cons: Used for couple of days and the cap broke had to send back to ripit sporting goods to be replaced or fixed.
Pros: Great bat, solid contact everywhere, I especially love the grip. 30 day Money back warranty was awesome. Didn't use it though.
Cons: No one knows about Rip-it yet so people think you have a $50 bat, thankfully this can easily disprove any hasty conclusion.
Pros: big sweet spot, well balanced and okay pop.
Cons: after 30 days of using it i had 3 huge dents. get the s1!
Pros: Great bat right out of the wrapper. Good looks and nice pop.
Cons: End cap came flying out after 30 BP Balls. No bat is worth the hassle of RMA ~!!
Pros: This bat has TREMENDOUS pop, the grip is fantastic, and it has a huge sweet spot. And Rip-It's costumer service is beautiful!
Cons: Had my first bat for probably 3-4 weeks. I was taking BP and all of a sudden the end cap comes off. Reading these reviews, it's very common. But being as I did love the bat so much, I returned it and got a new bat no less than a week later. I've had the bat for 2 weeks and nothing terrible has happened yet (knock on wood). Still has that great pop. But they need to work on that end cap.
Pros: Well balance bat with good pop.
Cons: End cap came out of the bat before it was a month old. RipIt has a problem with this and the company seems to be overwhelmed trying to fix the problem as they back ordered the replacement bat after they lied to me that they were in stock. Not happy at all....
Pros: Felt good before it broke
Cons: Son used the bat for a total of 15 swings on the first day of practice and end cap shattered....64 degrees outside that day.
Pros: 30 day money back guarantee
Cons: I purchased the 2012 RIP-IT Prototype for my son and he has only had it for a total of 10 days. The plastic cap cracked and popped off. The bat was not worth $279.00.
Pros: Spectacular performance! I love this bat.
Cons: nothing
Pros: This Bat is not good at all I have purchased alot of bats and Rip-It has some work to do on this one.
Cons: Busted 3 bats in 2 weeks.
Pros: good pop and great balance
Cons: endcap cracked and it dented in BP
Pros: good pop
Cons: i had tryouts to day and i was soft tossing to a batter and he hit the ball and the end cap came off (breaking into pieces)
Pros: bat has great pop and grip.
Cons: End cap came off during first scrimmage. Sending the bat back.
Pros: sweetspot
Cons: barrel size(Barely)
Pros: If you can catch a pitch right in the center of the sweet spot you MIGHT get a ball out of the infield
Cons: EVERYTHING
Pros: What little time I have got to use it I LOVE IT.
Cons: End cap keeps breaking. I have returned the bat twice in the two months Ive owned it. They are working on fixing this and have sent me a new bat each time.
Pros: I like the feel of this bat compared to other BBCOR this has a great balance. The 30 Days Love it or get your money back was what sold us on trying it out! So glad I did! Already 1 Homer after using it just 3 games. Now I have another brand BBCOR for sale!
Cons:
Pros: Feels as close to last years bats as you can get. My 15 year old son bats 4th and says it compares well to his old cf5 composite lots of pop and his teammates have tried it too and love it.
Cons: none yet
Pros: none
Cons: The cap cracked the second week i had it, and it had more pop with out it!
Pros: hits well when it isnt being sent back for endcap breaking or denting
Cons: had this bat and endcap broke and sent it back and then on an inside pitch it dented..hopefully we get a full refund because my son cant keep borrowing another players bat while we wait for another one to be mailed back
Pros: This bat is really good! The kids love it, but not worth it!
Cons: Ordered the bat for Christams. Used it in January it Dented. Sent it back and got a new one on 2-24-12, got the new one and used it in one game... Guess what? After one game it is "Dented" again! Bat is not game eligible!
Pros: None for 2012. 2011 was best bat ever.
Cons: Returning 3rd 2012 model due to cracked endcap. Still using 2011, don't know what changed with endcaps from 2011 to 2012 but they need to switch back.
Pros:
Cons: Worst BBCOR bat that I have used! The first time I used it, pieces of the end cap started breaking off.
Pros: The Grip
Cons: A huge dissapoint
Pros: good grip
Cons: the bat dented after first game use
Pros: It has decent pop for a BBCOR.
Cons: Not really a balanced bat...it's end loaded...Started to rattle after only one tournament, and I hope it's not the same issue some others are having. After hearing all the end cap issues, I'm worried that it might break off in the middle of a game.
Pros: The Bat was performing well for the first batter. The 2nd Batter hit it off the end of the Bat and the plastic cracked and it fell off.
Cons: 2 of the parents after the incident decided to go with the Rawlings. I'm going to stick it out with the Rip it Cats heck they named it The prototype.I use to sell pro Audio and there are always quirks in new products. After I looked at the end cap it was very rigid I think the material needs to give a bit.I know this with shipping Vintage Tube Audio gear rigid against rigid Means Breakaroni!
Pros: nice grip
Cons: I hate two swings with this bat. The first swing i heard a rattling sound and the second swing the end cap popped off. Now i have to send it back. Thanks for wasting my money and time
Pros: Price and return policy
Cons: Did not get the pop they I was looking for, the ball seemed very slow off the bat.
Pros: 30 Day Money Back Guarantee.
Cons: Bought this bat based on all the hype and I was very disappointed. Easton XL1 is the way to go much better bat.
Pros: Son is going to HS next year so he needed a BBCOR. He's a small switch hitter and with this bat he can drive the ball from both sides. The endload is perfect for his style of hitting.
Cons: Grip gets dirty.
Pros: Niice fit in han feel nice swing
Cons: Are varsity broke 3 of these bat already in the matter o to weeks the cap on top breaks off.
Pros: didn't have it long enough to find out...
Cons: 3rd swing / hit of the bat at indoors team practice, February 9, 2012 - end cap completely cracked in half! :( Son still wants another one to try...
Pros: According to RIP-IT, the PROB2 had a bad run of 33" bats where the endcap is not holding up. They have corrected the problem and are more than happy to replace your bat within a week. It's more than worth your while as this is a fantastic bat.
Cons: That they even had this problem to begin with.
Pros: It looked good and felt much more balanced then the original
Cons: It got a huge dent in between the handle and the barrel, right where the -3 symbol is. I had only used it a few times when this happened, make sure if you buy this bat you have a waranty!
Pros: My son demo'd this bat in the cage and loved it. See cons.
Cons: We bought one and he hit ten balls in the cage and blew the end cap off. Freak thing...i realize that. What I was dissapointed with was that it took 3 weeks to get a replacement. Might be a sweet bat...but I will probably look elsewhere for the next bat.
Pros: Huge sweet spot, nice handling.
Cons: Hit a ball and broke in two.
Pros: This is a great bat with a huge sweet spot. Everything you hit jumps off the bat!
Cons: I've had to return mine twice because the cap breaks easily...
Pros: good pop.Excellent grip
Cons: My son broke end caps off two different bats .Hit a homerun and next at bat end cap broke off.Replacement bat broke on second swing at practice. Sent back for refund.
Pros: Eh
Cons: About 5 players on my high school team got these and they have all broken, 3 weeks into the season. Also all the good reviews are written by the company.
Pros: this bat has good balance and great pop......when it is not being sent back for issues
Cons: 1st bat the endcap broke so it was sent back and a week later the 2nd bat dented from an inside pitch so it has been sent back. We request %100 REFUND.
Pros: Well balanced Hot out of the wrapper Grip is amazingly comfortable Bigger barrel than most of the other BBCOR bats
Cons: None yet, doubt I will
Pros: This a great bat. The first ten swings were duds, but after that the ball just started flying of the bat. I'm 5'6" 130 lbs and i have been hitting 350ft + line drives. its got a huge sweet spot and great pop.
Cons: The grip gets dirty.
Pros: my son is a little guy so he needed every advantage he could get. he took this bat and went with it. lots of pop for a bbcor which he needs.looks like a winner in his book. he even compares to easton bat of last year which was a besr rating. love it.
Cons: while it is balanced it still feels a little top heavy. but he is woking through this and getting very comfortable with the bat.
Pros: seemed like a good bat. good pop
Cons: did not flex as much. son's wrist got a little sore so need to get used to lack of flex. end cap snapped off after two practices so sent it back and decided on voodoo until rip it's production improves
Pros: Well balanced, great grip, lots of pop. Great warranty and very helpful support staff.
Cons: Not durable. We have gone through three bats in less than a month and the end cap has come off on all three. The last two didn't last a game. Too bad cuz it is a nice bat if it were durable.
Pros: Nice balance, not top heavy. The grip is very comfortable.
Cons: Dented in two weeks. The exchange process has been a nightmare. Day 12 and still no bat.
Pros: Bought this for my son. Loves hitting with the bat. BBCOR and hitting home runs and extra base hits.
Cons: The problem has been he has had to send it back twice in the 4 months he has had it due to the end cap breaking. Takes 3 weeks to get it back! Hard to hit with it when it always being repaired.
Pros: Great bat. Good pop. Used once in bp and the next day in a game and it was good
Cons: scratces easy but overall good
Pros: Nice sweet spot ball flys off the bat. Get a good swing and it goes!
Cons:
Pros: Comfortable grip...thats it!
Cons: i had my bat for 3 scrimmages and the end cap broke AND popped off...on a foul ball! ive used some other bbcors and this was the worst one! Dont waste your $280.00! All youre gonna have to do is send it back in constantly to get a new one.
Pros: Bought this bat for our son's birthday. He really liked the way it until...
Cons: Used it one night in the batting cage and the end cap popped off. Thought it just might be a defective bat, sent it back and received a new one. Used it two days at baseball practice and the end cap came off again. Sending it back and getting a voodoo bat. After eading some of the reviews this seems to be a common problem.
Pros: good pop, nice sound for a BBCOR, nice look
Cons: overrated. more of an endloaded feel and i honestly felt more pop coming from some reebok bat we had, as well as last year's voodoo. bought the bat 2 months ago but only recently have tested it so i'm fairly sure the 30 day return thing is down the drain despite it being pretty unused. sent it in after the end cap popped off from poor contact and tape a message on the barrel. hoping for a refund but i doubt it's happening
Pros: we are a 13 Utrip team but i make my team swing bbcor at times to get ready for HS play we have 5 of the top 10 bats and this one has more pop than all of them good product
Cons: handle gets dirty quick but permormance makes up for it
Pros: ok pop...nice graphics
Cons: started to rattle after few at bats, and then in practice the end cap came off...sending it back...may have to go with a company that knows what they are doing. Sounds like from the reviews it's a dud.
Pros: Tons of pop, nice grip and very balanced
Cons: End cap comes of way to easily and the grip gets mad dirty
Pros: good pop, long grip(good for choking up), big sweet spot, and nice look
Cons: for all the people who complain about the end cap just need to do light batting practice to break it in. do the tee, do soft toss. don't just step into live pitching as soon as you get the bat
Pros: good grip
Cons: wasnt as good as i heard of...not much ''pop''
Pros: good pop
Cons: this is the third time I have reviewed this bat because I am sending back for the 3rd time. 1st bat the end cap cracked, 2nd bat dented on an inside pitch and now the 3rd bat is end loaded. rip-it why is the 3rd bat end loaded when the other 2 bats were not? I wanted a refund when the 2nd bat was sent back and if the 3rd bat is not going to be refunded then you can keep it and will purchase another bat.
Pros: Great bat, comfortable grip all around well balanced.
Cons: Just learned today that my bat was marked as illegal last week because of the end cap. Very disappointed. :(
Pros: 1. Well balaced 2. Most pop iv ever seen in a BBCOR bat 3. Very comfortable grip 4. BIG sweet spot 5. Looks great
Cons: I have nothing
Pros: for a bbcor this bat is not for off from besr, swing weight feels in middle of bat to 3/4 my son is 95-lb 5'1 13yrs bought a 31.5 -3 he swings this bat easy solid shot
Cons: none so far solid bat white handle gets dirty but has nothing to do with permormance
Pros: 30 day return policy is huge!! Especially since I returned it after 2 weeks. This bat is SEVERELY OVER-HYPED.
Cons: Ended up buying the old faithful Easton bat. Don't buy into the hype-that's all it is. Very, very end heavy as well.
Pros: nice bat, good pop,AMAIZING GRAP IT MOLDS TO YOUR HAND,ALL AROUNG GOOD BAT
Cons: NONE
Pros: Nice one piece metal bat but ...
Cons: Like lots of other cons the end cap cracked. Waiting to see their RMA process works.
Pros: the best bat i have ever used. i have only had 3 games so far but have hit 4 homeruns. it is very explosive.
Cons:
Pros: This bat is the real deal. At a tournament Saturday the varsity team was using this bat and there were 3 home runs in one game and one in the next. All of the big hits they were using this bat. The first thing they look for at a game now is "where is the Rip It"
Cons: none. Just hard to get. They are always sold out.
Pros: This bat is a great bat the money maybe a issue but hits great. May not be the best feel but, this bat is a power bat. I have tried out the 2012 CF5 and that is for a contact hitter bat is more of a wood pop than anything Rip or s1 is the way to go
Cons: price and sound
Pros: Looks cool.
Cons: End cap cracked after my 14 yr old son's 3rd game. Ordered a new bat and was guaranteed the end cap issue was resolved. The end cap was cracked out of the box before my son took his first swing. 3 games and 2 bats later, my son still does not have a bat.
Pros: The bat is amazing! Their customer service is even more amazing. The bat had a small dent in it and we shipped it back to them on a Monday and had the replacement bat on the following Monday.
Cons:
Pros: great pop for a bbcor bat, the best we have seen so far
Cons: none
Pros: very live bat, ball comes off very well. like the way it feels. good balance.
Cons: tip of bat comes off after contact. happened two times on different bats.
Pros: love everything about it! Iam 14 on my jr high eight grade team and bombed one 375 ft.
Cons:
Pros: Hits great until it breaks. Lots of pop, solid hits and made for power-hitters for about 2 weeks.
Cons: Yup, it breaks. Real power-hitters will destroy this bat in a short amount of time and we parents will have to pay for it! We've gone through two of these in the last 1 1/2 months.Sooo, I'm going to get my money back and find a bat that can handle a 17 year-old(s)swing. Very dissapointed in this bat made in America...
Pros: Decent bat
Cons: Customer service is hideous for the price you pay for this bat. I bought 2, 1 for my son who plays DII baseball and the other high school varsity. Within 3 days of each other, the end caps came off. Sent both in, one was lost in the company warehouse. I was also told instead of a new bat, they replace the cap and send you the old one back, not good business for a total of $320 including tax. Stay away and go with a proven company.
Pros: LOVE THE BAT HAS NICE SWEET SPOT, EVENLY WEIGHTED, CONSISTENTLY RIPPING HARD SHOTS, TO THE OUTFIELD AND FENCE.
Cons: ALL MY TEAMMATES WANT TO USE IT ALSO
Pros: so far so good lots of pop middle to 3/4 loadedlarge sweet spotmy son is 95lb 5'1in swings 31.5L 28.5oz luvs it whole team uses bat now and bat seems to be getting better
Cons: none i read alot about end cap problems we have around 800 hits on this one with no problems so far solid bat
Pros: My son loves it... just used this bat for his first high school game and went 4 for 4.
Cons: Unfortunately, the end cap pops off. Will be contacting manufacturer.
Pros: Good pop and well balanced. Great grip.
Cons: None yet
Pros: i used the bat for BP once (It was my friends) and it was amazing. I had ridiculous power, and great grip. Good for power hitters, end heavy, huge sweet spot. This bat looks awsome and is probably the best bat on the market.
Cons: It has serious end cap problems but you can return the bat for a full refund or get a neww one. The bat doesnt't have very much flexibility but some people like less flexible bats.
Pros: Are you sure it's a BBCOR??? Great pop, great balance... WOW!!!
Cons: Not yet. I'm hoping the bat is durable and keeps its pop :)
Pros: good price
Cons: but my friend got the same bat and it shattered
Pros: Has pop, action off bat....price is not over the top like most companies. Customer service in Orlando is restricted, however, they work with you and get replacements in the pipelines.
Cons: Let's face it, no one is being up front here - caps are flying off bats out there and kids/parents scramble to get replacement. The only place to get supposedly the bats that have the fix are the ones at Rip It corporate in Orlando. My son got his replaced with Ashley down there with end cap that had the corrective action......his original lasted four swings, two over the fence, a line drive and a cracked cap. The seasons are so compressed, waiting a week is 3-5 games.....Rip It (corporate) replaced the same day as they got FedX return scanned and it took a day as I picked up at FedX facility the next town over. Bottom line? The cap fix is at corporate, in the field, there is a defect and despite the 'bad batch' comments - it is a risk.
Pros: balance point is very similar to a wood bat. It's top loaded. If you can hit with wood, and have a strong snap, you'll love this bat.
Cons:
Pros: i used this bat for the first time and fell in love. It has a huge sweetspot and even when you dont hit the sweetspot it dont sting. it also has a great pop to it.
Cons: white wrap dont even last a game
Pros: Nice bat. Still trying to get use to the new BBCOR bats but this one seems to be better than anything else I've used so far. Much bigger sweet spot than others i've used. Most popular bat on the team.
Cons: It's a BBCOR
Pros: Long Sweet Spot Great pop Great for the price
Cons: None yet.
Pros: this bat has great pop, and even hitting the ball of the end of the bat still letsw me hit a line drive. It has a huge sweet spot that helps me get better hits and more. I recomend this bat to anyone who wants moreand better hits.
Cons: none
Pros: Good weight distribution. Durable. Good grip.
Cons: Scuff marks (so what!)
Pros:
Cons: 5 players on my son's high school team have had to return their RipIt for repairs. The plastic end cap is brittle and breaks easily. My sons had a dent in it also. Performance is the same as any other bbcor out there don't waste your money on this.
Pros: Nice Grip
Cons: Not alot of pop Broke after 4 months of hitting
Pros: feels very good when u hit it. it has no sting to it. has great pop
Cons: top heavy
Pros: Awsome Bat!!!!!!!!!!1
Cons:
Pros: 30 Day Money Back Guarantee. Had to use it.
Cons: Nothing special. Just an aluminum stick. Sent it back and bought the easton s1. Thank god i did.
Pros: Aluminum is stongest on market. End cap shot off. Bat returned and downsisized 33 to 32. Just hit a 340 ft HR. End cap forgiven.
Cons: End cap (replaced 0 problems) Heavy (downsize)
Pros: Has good pop and good grip
Cons: after about a month of using it the bat dented in the center and bent at a 45 degree angle. Don't waste your money on things that break
Pros: Best BBcor bat out there great pop and a huge sweet spot very well balenced as well. Many other reviews will say that the end cap of the bat willfall off ive hit at least 200 hits with this bat and so far i have had no problems
Cons: None
Pros: Good handle.
Cons: No pop.
Pros: The best pop of any bbcor bat Ive used and I've used alot.
Cons: I dented mine and had to send it back also my friends cap completely crumbled. There customer service is really good tho
Pros: Just an incredible bat and even better it out performes all the broken in composites I've tested. Huge sweet spot as to be expected.
Cons: So far the bat is clean. I'm 5 11 225 and swing pretty hard, its stood up against some monster shots. People keep you high performance bats away from the cages and on game baseballs.
Pros: good pop for a bbcor bat, all aluminum so it needs no break in period.
Cons: many say end cap comes off easy, hasnt happened to me wont happen unless u hit it off the cap over and over again
Pros: Bat has great feel and pop. Balls seem to go farther then any other BBCOR bat I have used.
Cons: End cap broke within three months of using the bat.
Pros: weight distribution is nice
Cons: definitly not getting what you pay for, a more expensive bat that still isnt near as effective as the easton or the S150, used it in practice and after a few weeks it already had a large dent near the grip where i had gotten jammed
Pros: I bought this bat at a local sports store. I did actually purchase the bat unlike half of the people who leave reviews on here saying its really good. It does have decent pop for a bbcor and a very nice grip, but i do not believe it is the best bbcor bat out there. I sent mine back using rip-its 30 day money back gaurantee. They refunded all of my money and let me print out a label that covered the shipping cost. I sent mine back because my team has a white nike mc2 bbcor and i like it much much better than this bat. The Nike MC2 has a much better sweet spot and has more of the old familiar ping that we used to hear from the old besr bats. I recommend the MC2 much more than this. Another good option is the Easton XL series or more specifically the XL3 as my team owns one and we really like it. We have an easton XL3 and S3 and the XL series is better than the speed series for sure. Seriously though, look into the White Nike MC2 you wont be disappointed.
Cons: -Not the best bbcor bat on the market as its claimed to be. -Grip gets dirty fast -Lacks that satisfying ping that we all crave.
Pros: Great pop. Hit homers and doubles with little effort.
Cons: Unrelieable. After 3 games end cap popped off. Was without it most of high school season. 3 games after I got it back, it severely dented so was unusable. Had two days left on 30 day return for any reason guarantee, so sent it back. Unfortunate that a bat that hits so well is not designed to last.
Pros: weighted perfectly in a 34"
Cons: took one swing with it off the end ball went a long ways and so did the cap. everyone should learn from marucci and starting making the caps like that..
Pros: I am hitting bombs i went 4 for 4 with 3 doubles and a triple, this bat has a lot of pop and it is definitely worth the price.
Cons: i havent gotten out yet
Pros: Great bat, with amazing pop, large sweet spot. Worth the price.
Cons:
Pros: good pop; nice grip
Cons: after 50 swings in the cage i heard a rattling sound and the end cap popped off i got a refund because of reading all of these reviews
Pros: looks
Cons: Poorly made. Dented two in less then 100 swings.
