Product Description
RockBats was not founded by a former player, not a former carpenter, not a former bat rep, nor by a former sawmill - RockBats was founded by a wood scientist. Whether you are an amateur player or a professional player who plays in front of thousands of fans, the baseball bat is the most important tool in your game. Making contact with the ball is up to you. Providing the solid-wood baseball bat, made by the most highly-advanced processing and manufacturing techniques, using true Hard Maple wood that passes the strictest sawing, drying, selection, grading, and inspection criteria in the industry - is what RockBats has to offer. RockBats are the most highly-advanced, solid-wood baseball bats in the industry today. To prove RockBats wood has superior performance, they submitted one of their RockBats to the NCAA Baseball Research Center. The only way to know for sure that their bats were high-performance bats was to have one tested for Ball Exit Speed Ratio (BESR). For BESR certification, all bats must perform below 97 mph. This is what the allowed limit is for the ball exit speed ratio for every Non wood baseball bat used in NCAA and High school baseball play. The Rock Bat performed at 94.96 mph - just 2 mph shy of the legal limit. RockBats are the real deal. No two pieces of wood are alike; therefore, No two solid-wood bats are alike. RockBats tests every bat and identifies and marks the Sweet Spot on the barrel. Bats having the same shape and weight can still have different Sweet Spot locations. RockBats is the ONLY manufacturer that identifies the Sweet Spot. Knowing the Sweet Spot location is a great training aid! Every model developed has been designed on a computer and analyzed to assure that the stresses in the handle do not exceed a certain threshold. RockBats analyzes the properties of each bat shape, and this provides an early indication about feel and performance. Before RockBats were a baseball bat business, they operated their lumber business that sold baseball bat blanks to bat manufacturers. RockBats have taken all of the latest technologies on wood processing, and have applied all of the latest knowledge on wood properties, and developed a detailed set of specifications for the physical and mechanical properties of the wood required for each baseball bat.
