How does the swing weight of the Combat Pure compare to: Combat 52 Caliber, Combat B4 Portent, and Prototype II? Can you rank from light to heavy? Thank you.
The lightest bat out of the four would be the RIP-IT Prototype II BBCOR: PROB2 Adult. We would place the others from lightest to heaviest as the COMbat B4 Portent BBCOR, the COMbat Pure, BBCOR. and the most end loaded is the COMbat 52 Caliber BBCOR.
My son will be moving to BBCOR next fall. Currently using 2013 B3SL1 -5 (awesome bat, by the way). Which of the COMbat BBCOR bats are closest to his current bat in technology, swing weight, etc.?

The COMbat Pure BBCOR has gear technology which is used inside the bat to give the Pure BBCOR a softer feel and greater performance on hits toward the taper. The Portent and B3 do not feature this technology. The COMbat B4 Portent features Separation Barrier Technology for hot out of the wrapper performance. The Pure and B3 do not feature this technology. The Pure will have a barrel that is similar in length to the B4 Portent.
How would you say this bat compares to the more popular bats ie Easton XL1?
The 2013 COMbat Pure BBCOR: PUREAB1 is a one-piece composite bat. The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 is a two-piece composite bat. The XL1 will be just a little more endloaded as well.
