Questions and Answers for 2013 DeMarini J3: DXNT3 Slow Pitch
I'm looking for a bat for the .44 CORE balls. Would this be a good model?
The 2013 DeMarini J3: DXNT3 Slow Pitch bat features the new ASA stamp and is designed to hit the new ASA .52 CORE softballs. If the bat is used with the .44 CORE softballs, it becomes more susceptible to cracking. Any bat that features the 2004 ASA stamp would be designed to hit the .44 CORE softballs.
Our league uses .44 COR, 375 COMP balls. Will they be OK for use with this bat?
The 2013 DeMarini J3: DXNT3 Slow Pitch bat features the new ASA stamp and is designed for use with the new .52 or .50 COR softballs. Using the J3 with the .44 or .47 COR softballs will cause the bat to be more susceptible to cracking.
Can you explain the concept behind two-piece vs one-piece construction? I have concerns for two-piece longevity after reading reviews of both this bat and the Miken Triad. $300 bats shouldn't crack.
The main difference between one-piece bats and two-piece bats is that one-piece models are developed as one continuous piece of metal as opposed to being pieces bonded together. Two-piece models are created in two sections, a barrel and a handle, and then those two pieces are bonded together. The main advantage for a two-piece bat is to reduce vibration for the batter's hands. Bats do play a violent role in the game of softball and baseball, and take a lot of impact. Even $300 bats like this 2013 DeMarini J3: DXNT3 can crack. That's just the nature of the game. Manufacturers realize this fact, which is why they typically offer full warranties on their bats.
Is the J3 fully end loaded or is it mid loaded? It will make a difference for what size I will get?
The 2013 DeMarini J3: DXNT3 Slow Pitch is going to be a fully end loaded bat.
