My daughter has the 2012 RockeTech, and I am looking to buy her another one. My question is, should I stay with the 2012 bat that she has had great success with? Or, should I buy the 2014 Rocketech? Are they the same bat?

The 2014 Anderson RockeTech FP: (KRKTFP) will be extremely similar, however, it will have updated material and technology to help boost performance. The 2014 model will include all-metal, multi-wall alloy, and will incorporate Internal PowerArch Technology to help create more momentum off of the barrel. This model was also designed to have a lower MOI allowing players to swing faster. Ultimately, this model will have updated technology in comparison to the 2012 model. However, these changes were intended to make this model more powerful and durable.

I am trying to decide between the Anderson RockeTech and the Louisville Slugger Xeno. My daughter is more of a power hitter. I have heard great things about each bat. She is 11 years old and 5'10" about 105 lbs. Which would be the better bat? What size would be best?

The 2014 Anderson RockeTech FP (KRKTFP) Fastpitch is a one-piece alloy design. The one-piece design provides for a stiffer feel and is usually better for power hitters. Based on her height and weight, we suggest the 33" model.

Can this bat be used in batting cages with dimpled cage balls?

We would not recommend using your 2014 Anderson RockeTech (KRKTFP) with the dimpled cage balls. The dimpled cage balls weigh more than a regular softball which will cause more stress on the bat.

What the difference in this model and the past few years' models?

This 2014 Anderson RockeTech FP: KRKTFP Fastpitch bat features an upgraded blend of alloy when compared to the older KRKTFP models. However, this bat still offers the other great features you'll find in the RockeTech fastpitch models which include the Internal PowerArch Technology, Double-Wall All-Metal Alloy Barrel, and SG-I Sport Grip. The manufacturer's warranty period has also been reduced from 12-months to 6-months.
