Anderson has not specified to us why it chose to offer a six month warranty on the 2014 Anderson TechZilla XP (KTXP). However, Anderson bats have proven to be very durable and high performing.

Can this bat be used with the yellow batting cage balls?

The 2014 Anderson TechZilla XP (KTXP), along with all our composite or alloy bats, is not recommended to use with the yellow cage balls.

Do you have to break the bat in?

Generally, we do recommend a slight break-in for the 2014 Anderson TechZilla XP: (KTXP) Youth. We would suggest around 100-150 swings, rotating the barrel a quarter of an inch each time to help loosen up the material.

It looks like the barrel is bigger on the 2014, is it? We always loved your older models, but the new trend seems to be the larger barrel's.

In the youth model category of baseball bats, no barrel will exceed the size of 2 1/4". The bigger barrels are designated as "youth big barrel" or "senior league" models.

Is this bat approved for Little League use? We are in the Fairfax Little League of Fairfax Virginia (Northern VA).

The 2014 Anderson TechZilla XP (KTXP) Youth features the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp and is legal for play in Little League. It is always best to check with league officials first, as rules can vary depending on location.
