Questions and Answers for 2014 COMBAT Portent Senior League Baseball Bat: PORSL105
How does this bat compare to the -5 DeMarini Vexxum? I know a one-piece is better for power, but what else?

If I'm 5 foot 5 and weigh 150 pounds, should I get the drop 8 or drop 5?
The drop weight that would be appropriate for you to get would be based on your individual strength. Players of the same size may vary in the development of their swing strength. The best way to tell is to base you decision off of what you have used previously. If you are moving from a -10 or -9 I would suggest moving up gradually to the -8. If you are using a -8 currently than the -5 may be a good transition.
Are there temperature restrictions for using this bat in cold weather (freezing or near freezing)?
Generally, we do not suggest using the bats in temperatures less than 55 degrees. The cold weather is not necessarily going to harm the bat, however, the balls will become denser in colder weather. The density will increase the chance of the bat becoming dented or defective. It is important to remember that playing in cold weather will increase the risk of causing damage to the barrel. However, the cold weather itself will not harm the bat.
