Description

It's never too early to start crushing the ball! For the younger players that are taking their game seriously, DeMarini introduces their lightest CF6 of the season - the DXCFS. The CF series has been among the most popular bats on the softball field over the past several seasons. This year's CF6 is the hottest composite fastpitch bat out of the wrapper that DeMarini has ever produced. That's due to the all new Paradox Composite barrel and handle on this two-piece design. Paradox Composite makes the barrel stronger, while being scientifically shaped to feel softer on impact. This makes for a bigger, hotter, and more responsive sweet spot and consistently more powerful swings! The Paradox handle is designed stiff so that players can get an even better feel for the sweet spot, while continuing to produce a powerful, consistent swing. The CF6 features Stacked Double Wall Construction that creates a trampoline effect across the entirety of the barrel for completely optimized performance. At the end of the barrel, a Clutch End Cap dampens vibration for an incredibly smooth swing. If you've got a promising future and want a punishing present, it's the CF6 or nothing! DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The CF6 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Bought this bat last week for my daughter to replace her 1.5 year old Worth 454 legit light. She is 11 years old and 70 lbs., so it is hard to find a good bat for her to use in travel ball. So glad DeMarini came out with this drop 11, we got the 30/19 and she will still get about 2 years out of it. As a coach, I cannot stand a girl trying to swing a bat that is too big against 50+ mph pitches. My daughter fell in love with this bat at first sight and swing! She has been jacking the ball in the outfield and hitting nice line drives and hot grounders. In less than a week, she has at least 100 hits on it and you would never know it was right out of the wrapper! She also commented that it does not hurt as bad when you hit one off of the end like other bats. Thank you so much Demarini for finally making an amazing, well balanced bat for every age and size!

Cons: The price was something to ponder over, but once I see how much my daughter loves this bat and is hitting just as well as any other girl on the field, the cost is not a concern!

Pros: Bought the 2012 and 2013 CF5 -11. The 2012 was the hotter bat compared to the 2013 model. The new CF6 is a very impressive bat. Watching my daughter hit with it makes me believe it is hotter then the 2012. She is tall but has a small frame and can easily bring her hands through the zone with more bat speed and power. The ball flies off the bat for deep line drives.

Cons: Hope they fixed the durability with this model and will last longer then the 2012 CF5.

Pros: My daughter is 8, she has a CF5 and CF6. She gained about 10 to 15 yards and harder line drives. Went from barley hitting grass to putting them about 15 yards into it.

Cons: Price wasn't great.

Pros: My daughter is on a travel team and this bat is AWESOME!!! We buy all our bats from here and I never write a review. My daughter hit it to the fence 3 times during a tournament. This has been the best bat yet we have bought!!

Cons: A little pricey, but well worth it!

Pros: Bought this bat for my daughter this week. Took the wrapper off and stepped in the box. First pitch line drive up the middle, second pitch line drive off the right field fence, third pitch over the left center fence! I'm thinking this bat works for her.

Cons: I would say cost but watching the ball fly over the fence is priceless.

Pros: We are a DeMarini fan. We have had 9 total bats with the CF3, CF4, and CF5. The CF5 was the only -11 we have had until the CF6 -11. Very pleased with the CF6 so far.The hottest out of the wrapper of any. Will promise that! Has completely different sound and feel. Hope it hold up!

Cons: None so far except price. Just came out so no discounts.

Pros: Last year my daughter used the Vendetta and loved the feel and balance of that bat. We decided to upgrade this year to get more weight and 'pop' as she is a good contact hitter. Definitely see an improvement in distance and she didn't have to adjust her swing to any change in feel and balance.

Cons: Not really a con, but the sound of this bat is distinctly different then the CF5.

Pros: The ball jumps off the bat noticeably when driving the ball to the opposite field. The balance of the weight of the bat is flawless for a nice smooth swing.

Cons: If I have to find a fault, it would be in the grip. Something like the boys Easton LX 1 would make this bat perfect +1

Pros: Bought this bat 32" 21 oz. for my 12u player. She was using a 2012, -11 CF5 that had tons of pop. This new bat sounds totally different. It has more of a click than a thud sound. Since it is new, and not broken-in yet I'm still holding out for better results.

Cons: Im not totally convinced it's as hot as the CF5. Barrel material seems harder and not as much bounce off bat.

Pros: Great bat straight out of the wrapper. My 12 yr. old daughter hit a home run with it the 2nd day she had it.

Cons: Had to ship it back to Demarini 10 days after purchase. Cracked!!! This bat was used and broken-in correctly. Big disappointment to have to ship it back.

Pros: Good light, bat if you need swing speed.

Cons: I have been through two of them in the past 4 months, the end caps starts to wiggle out then there is a gap between the cap and barrel. Then it starts cutting balls. If you hit a lot of balls off of the end of bat keep a check on the end cap.

Pros: Nothing bad to say yet. My daughter was using an Easton Synge 30/18.5 She said the bat feels lighter than her Easton. CF6 31/20 she's crushing the ball. Added so much more pop. the Easton was a very good bat. Definitely no comparison. This bat is perfect for her. 10 years old 4'9" 100 lbs. She will have this for a couple of years.

Cons: Expensive, but I think I bought it at the right time. So two years should give us our money back in the long run.

Pros: I bought this bat mid June for my daughter. She plays 8u, 4'6" and weighs 84 pounds. She has used the new fs3 and singe but neither compares to this. I bought her the 30" 19oz.This bat is much hotter with more pop! She also likes the grip better than the easton. She has gained at least 20 feet when she has a good solid hit. Great Bat Steve S parent

Pros: Everything about it, this bat is terrific, my daughter plays in tournament ball in Pa.. We recently had a Round Robin this past weekend. First time other than soft toss she used this bat was this game, pitcher threw a meatball down the middle, actually I think she went for a riser but didn't rise enough and my daughter put it over the fence. when she returned from running the bases, the next batter had it in her hand and so on and so on.... each one with solid shots around the field and hard shots in the infield. She and the team love this bat, a couple of the dads joked and said now they were going to have to buy there daughter one.

Pros: Very light bat for a faster swing. Something your daughter has to get used to after a couple of swings. Very good pop for a contact player. This bat is probably not for a power swinger as most of the weight is mid range. My daughter has been hitting over 2nd base if she catches it right in the middle. Some of our other girls have used it and hit off with no problems. My daughter is 11yrs 4"5 and about 90lbs.

A lot of bats Luke parent

Pros: Tried 32/22 LXT, 31/21 CF5 INSANE, the one x when it was legal, the 2013 xeno (warranty replacement for one x), and a drop 10 versions of this bat that was given to my daughter by her demarini sponsored team... And so far besides the illegal one x this bat (cf6 drop 11) has had the best hits... Not to say I have noticed good pop on the purple Zeno at tournaments and I might just let my young one try the mako at batting practice for fun...

Cons: It's a light bat so people might pass it up but my daughter is playing select 16u as a 13 year old and is really strong in upper body so adding bat speed has seem to be the best answer for her... She loves this bat

Pros: My 12 yr daughter plays competitive travel softball year round and she loves the 2014 CF6. She outgrew her 2012 CF5 which to this day is still a hot durable bat, but this bat is hotter and has more pop. The ball flies off this bat to me better than xeno.

Cons: My daughter has cracked 3 different 2014 CF6 -11 in 7 months time frame. She is waiting on her 2014 CF6 -10. The wall of this bat is supposed to be thicker. I sure hope so.

Pros: This bat is hot out of the wrapper /. However, my daughter has had this bat for 8 months and used it all winter it is just now breaking in. She is 11 and when we are in the cage her line drives move the L screen. She hits bullets that most infielders don't bother stopping. Batting average is through the roof.

Great Performance, BUT........ Texas Hot Rod parent

Pros: Purchased bat for daughter after being victim to all other select teams using this bat and absolutely crushing the ball. With huge flaws in swing mechanics, the other girls still out hit most of those girls who have great mechanics but a subordinate bat. Daughter switched from a 2014 M2 Pride because I initially thought all otehr bats were too heavy for my 7 year old player. Researched and found the 17oz and I immediately made the switch. Out of the wrapper, OMG!!!!!!! Increased velocity by at least double of what we saw with the M2. Caused enough attention that other girls on team started using this bat and though it was too small for most, but they enjoyed absolutely crushing the ball!!!!

Cons: One miss hit off of the end cap and the bat was sent (and still there 2 weeks later after demarini received it) in because of the dislodgment of the end cap. Warranty is in effect but the time it takes to repair bat is a big concern!!!!

Pros: Good pop!

Cons: My 11 year old & a 10 year old team mate busted their brand new bats a week apart. One was maybe 3 weeks old & my daughter was only used in one tournament (was not even 2 weeks old) :( wish I could add a pic up here of my daughters. One more swing & it would have been in 2 pieces. Awsome Bat adam coach

Pros: My 10 year old daughter has been using this bat during tournaments. She was using another players cf6 for several months. We decided to buy her own as she was doing well with it. Strait out of the box, with no use in practice yet, she batted 818 in the first tournament with some very hard line drives deep in the outfield. She has been in select ball since she was 5 and this is by far the best bat for performance she has ever owned. She has used miken freak, rain, halo, catalyst and 454 legit. They have nothing on this bat. She is tall and lanky with barley any muscle mass. Any help the bat gives is a huge pluse. Thank you De Marini

Priceless pee wee power parent

Pros: My daughter is the smallest player on both of her 12u teams, at 4' 10". My daughter just moved up from the zephyr and the bustos, bot -13. Well my daughter is a strong girl for her size so she can swing a 20 oz. and her old bats were too light and were dead. So at batting practice I noticed that she was ahead of the ball most of the time and when she did time it right, the ball just didn't fly like it used to. Well, my daughter had been researching bats recently, and originally she wanted another bustos, but I said she should upgrade, so we were thinking about getting the cf6, the xeno, the mako, the worth legit, the lxt, and possibly the vendetta. When I looked at the prices, the Mako and lxt were gone, and I thought vendetta all the way. But then my daughter said she needed a -12 or a -11. So, it was down to either the vendetta, the worth legit, or the Cf6. Well at the time the legit had only one very brief review that said, "Good bat!" So since we are weary at getting bats or

Cons: What else? The price! CONTINUED FROM PROS anything that we hadn't seen in store before without reading reviews, we decided against getting that bat, since it was obviously less popular. So my daughter tried both the vendetta and the cf6, and while seeing my daughter hit with the cf6 I decided I would get it for her as a present. My daughter then used it at her first game right out of the wrapper, literally took off the wrapper at the field, and hit her first legitimate home run (a rocket to left field, hit the fence) in this higher level, as she is 11. Hard to imagine how hot this bat can get later! Thanks demarini! (By the way, get this bat at amazon if you want a good deal, for $210)

Demarini CF 6 -11 fastpitch bat Coach JB coach

Pros: This bat isn't just for young softball players. My 17 yr old daughter plays both high school and 18A travel softball and uses this bat with fantastic results. My daughter does not have as strong an upper body as most girls her age and had some trouble catching up to 60 mph plus fastballs with a minus 10 bat. This was the answer, same composite as the minus 10 Demarini's, lighter weight allows for faster swing speed. Ball sails off this bat with short break in time. Daughter finished with a .611 batting avg. after the high school season and this bat was a big reason for it. Need faster swing speed, give this bat a try, you won' regret it.

Cons: Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Pros: Hot bat , great feel ! If you want a Hot bat it comes at a cost . The hotter the bat the better the odds it will fail at some point . Our team understands that and we go thru them . Broke 2 this weekend and 5 in last 3 months . We use the CF6 and Xeno exclusively and they are equals IMO . Order this bat thru just bats.com and take advantage of their easy exchange policy ! Typically we have our bats back in 2 weeks . If you are strapped for cash and want this bat to last 2 seasons then you need to choose something other than the CF6 or Xeno . Should you use your game bat against a pitching machine using dimpled balls? Mike
No, do not use the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch bat against dimpled balls. Only use against real softballs.
Brandon
Any issues using these bats on the "total control balls"? Softball Rodie
Typically, we don't recommend using weighted softballs like the Total Control Ball with any bat, including the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS. Softballs or training balls with added weight like this can make the bat more susceptible to denting or cracking.
Tyler
These are not even available yet. How are you selling them already? Are you selling fake bats? Weetee75
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch softball bats were released in mid-April. We received them directly from DeMarini and I can assure you that they are the real deal and in no way fake.
Tyler
Is this bat better than the Xeno? I've used the Xeno and really like it, but I want something newer and better. Montanna
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch bat will be two-piece fully composite in design. It will be very balanced in swing weight. It will be hot right out of the wrapper and ready to go from day one. These characteristics do resemble the 2013 XENO.
Brandon
I'm 14 years old and have been using a 31" -11.5. Would it be bad if i got a -11? jess
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch bat is a very nice bat with balanced swing weight. Changing from a drop (-11.5) to a drop (-11) would not be a big difference if you were already swinging the (-11.5) well. You should do well with the (-11).
Robert
Would you recommend the DeMarini CF6 -11 or the Insane -10? I am 15 years old and have been playing for 8 years. I am 5'3" and weigh 155 pounds. I would get the length at 32". mary
If you are a power hitter we recommend the 2013 DeMarini CF5 Insane: DXCFI in a 32' 22 oz. If you need to increase your bat speed we recommend the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch.
Kara
I am 16 and I'm a slapper. My coach wants me to use a lighter bat with length, so I am thinking about the -11. My job is to basically just put the ball down (we have extreme power slappers). Would this be a fit for me? bh
Being a well balanced -11 bat, the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS would be a great choice for a slap hitter.
Tyler
I'm not sure what length and weight to get. I'm 14, 5' 1", and weigh 98 pounds. I'd like a bat that I could swing easily and not be extremely heavy, but also not too light. Kim
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch would be a great choice. The CF6 is very balanced and a 32" 22 oz. bat should fit you perfectly.
Noah
I'm not a power hitter and I need something to make the ball trampoline. Would the CF6 or CF5 Insane be best? rayray
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch will be the best choice, because it is perfectly balanced for a contact hitter.
Noah
My daughter is 13 yeard old. She is 5' 3" and 152lbs. Currently she uses a DeMarini CF4 32" 21 oz. bat. She is a power hitter. Which DeMarini bat would be perfect for her? Also, I need to find out what size and weight suits her. drayton batepola
Your daughter would be great with the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane: DXCFI Fastpitch. She should be using a 33" 23 oz. bat.
Noah
My daughter is 15, 5' 4", and weighs 143 pounds. What type of bat would work best for her? Nikki
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch bat would be a perfect fit for her. The two-piece fully composite design, plus the very balanced swing weight would provide exceptional swing feel. At her size she should be swinging the 32" model.
Brandon
My daughter is 12 years old, 5' and 85 lbs. What bat would be best for her? steve

Katie
My daughter is 12 years old, 5'6" and weighs 170. She is currently using a Xeno bat 33" 23 oz. Is this the right size and what DeMarini bat is comparable? Gina
Based on her height and weight we recommend a 34" 24 oz. bat. The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch will be too light for her size. We recommend the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch.
Kara
Can you use this bat on a SKLZ hitting stick or a SKLZ Hurricane stick that swings when you hit it? ehlke
We do not recommend using any non-wood bat with hitting trainers like that. The "ball" of those hitting trainers is much more dense than a softball and could damage or shorten the useful life of your bat. The barrel of the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch, and other non-wood models, is not designed to hit very dense objects.
Mac
My daughter is 10 years old, 80 lbs and is 5'0", currently using a 2012 DeMarini CF5 30" 19 oz. Do you think the 31" 19 oz. CF6 may be an okay fit for her based on height and weight? SoftballDad
With the height and weight given we suggest you get the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch in a 31" 20 oz.
Chad M.
My daughter is 11 1/2 years old and 75 lbs. She is almost 5' tall. She has been hitting a Louisville Xeno 30" 20 oz. What size do you recommend? Beth

Chad M.
Do you think this bat is better than the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane is better for me? I am 5'2 130 pounds. meggy
Both are great bats. If you are a contact hitter the 2014 DeMarini CF6 -11 would be the bat for you. If you are a power hitter the DeMarini CF6 Insane -10 would be the bat for you.
Damon
Do you recommend the DeMarini CF6 or the Louisville Slugger Xeno for a contact hitter. My daughter is 58" and 75 lbs so what size bat should she use? softball mom
We suggest with the height and weight given that she swing a 30" 20 oz. bat. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 is would be a great bat for a contact slap hitter.
Chad M.
My daughter is looking for a new bat. She is 5' 4" and 145 lbs. She is now using the CF5 23 oz. 33". She wants the new CF6, but i'm not sure if she should get the same weight and length? the outlaws
Based off your daughters height and weight she would still be best with a 33" 23 oz. 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch, but you could get her the Insane model, which is end loaded.
Noah
My daughter is 10 years old, weighs 110 pounds, and 5' 1". She currently bats with a 2012 CF5 31" 20 oz. Do you think we should go to a 32" or is it too long for her? Pili
Your daughter should be using the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch in a 32" 22 oz.
Noah
My daughter is turning 13 in a few weeks and she is 5' 6" and 105 lbs. She plays travel ball (14U) and is need of a great bat. What bat do you suggest I get for her? Candy
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch is a very hot bat. She would do great with a 32" 22 oz. bat.
Noah
When is the 33" 21 oz coming out? mike
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 is not produced in a 33" 21 oz. The lightest option DeMarini offers in the CF6 is the 33" 22oz (-11 Drop).
John G.
Daughter is 5' 6" and 140 lbs currently uses a 32" 22 oz. Is that correct? It seems like she should be swinging quicker for her size. mike
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch would be a good choice for her if she's struggling with bat speed, at a -11. Anywhere from a -9 to a -11 is common for someone her size, and 32" would be a good length for her based on her size.
Katie
Is the DeMarini CF6 really better than the CF5 or is it just a new paint job? travel coach
The new DeMarini CF6 uses a higher quality Paradox composite for a bigger and hotter sweetspot.
Damon
My daughter weighs 175 and is 5'5" but does not have great bat speed. Would you recommend the 33" (-11)? CF6 or something different? susan softball

My daughter is 12 years old, 5' 2" tall, and weighs 85 pounds. Her current bat is a 2010 DXCFP CF4 30" 20 oz. What CF6 would you recommend? Kevin
Based on results from our Bat Coach tool (http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/), we would recommend a 31" model of the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch bat.
Mac
My daughter plays H.S. ball as a freshman. She is not big (5' 2" and 117 lbs). She has extremely quick hands, but is not real powerful. She owns this bat, but a CF5 model from a year ago. She likes the bat still, but I know it will soon wear out. Do you think she should look into a -10? How much difference is there between the Insane's swing since it's end loaded? Walker
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch bat will have a very balanced swing weight; much like the CF5 model that she currently swings. The end load in the Insane model is definitely noticeable when compared to the other CF6 models. That end loaded swing weight is really designed for the high swing speeds of power hitters. If she has quick hands, but generally hits line drives, you may be better-off with a balanced model like the CF5 she has. The end load is not for everyone, and I would not trade the end load for bat speed. The length to weight ratio that a player chooses comes down to what they are most comfortable swinging. To help with your decision, feel free to check out our Bat Resource Guide a guidelines for selecting a softball bat: http://www.justbats.com/bat-resource-guide/selecting-a-softballbat/
Mac
I'm looking to buy a bat for my daughter. She is 14 and plays softball on a club team all year. She is also going into high school. Would you recommend this bat or the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPS Xeno: FP13X Fastpitch? gabalaba
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch and the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPS Xeno: FP13X are both high quality bats that use top of the line composite materials. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 is a great choice. Based on her age we recommend using a -10 CF6. The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch would be a better option for her.
Kara
My daughter is 5'7 and 145 pounds, we are debating between this bat and the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch. What is the biggest difference? Which one would you recommend? And which size? gesarco
The only difference between the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch and the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is the drop. Based on her height and weight we recommend a 33" 23 oz. 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch.
Kara
My daughter is 8 yrs old about 50" tall and 70 lbs. She swings a 28" 18 oz. Would a CF6 be good for her? She has hit 4 hrs this season with a CF5. Would the CF6 make a difference? joe
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch would be a great option for her. It uses new paradox composite material for hot out of the wrapper performance.
Kara
I'm not sure what length and weight to get. I'm 15, 120lbs, 5'2"? bobbi
Based on your height and weight we recommend a 32" 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch.
Kara

Kara

Kara

Yes. The DeMarini CF6 is a great balanced two-piece composite bat.
Damon
My 12 y/o daughter is about 4'9" and 95lbs. We think she may be getting ready to hit a growth spurt. What size bat would you recommend? She is a RH batter but not great bat speed. She is currently using 30" bat which seems to work well for her. Amanda
We would recommend a 31" model for the 2014 DeMarini CF6 given her height and weight.

No, the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch bat is not manufactured in that size.

My daughter is about 5'1", 85 lbs with a pretty quick bat. She tends to hit everything to left field. What is the proper bat size for her? She has been used an Easton Mystique 32" 20 oz. She is about to move up to the 12Us and middle school, so the pitcher will be moving back and throwing a bigger ball. The T Man
We recommend the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch in a 31" 20 oz, based on her size and age. You could probably move up to a 32" 21 oz, as she's already been using a 32" bat.
Katie
Is the DeMarini Vendetta close to as good as this bat? Is there a big difference between the two? ehebksi
The DeMarini Vendetta is still going to be a high performing bat, but with the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch using a more responsive and top of the line composite it will stay at its peak performance longer than the Vendetta will.
Noah
Which bat will be closer to the performance of this bat? The DeMarini Vendetta or the DeMarini Bustos? ghsvos
The DeMarini Vendetta will be closer in performance to the DeMarini CF6 because it is composite, whereas the DeMarini Bustos is an alloy bat.
Damon
Is the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS a good bat for a 5' 4", 148 lb.,slapper? If so, what size would you recommend? Ally123

im 4' 7.5" and i currently use a bustos. is it worth it switching over and what size would you reccommend? would a 30" 19 oz be too heavy considering my daughter currently swings a 29" 16 oz? shvko
The 3 oz. jump in weight is outside of our recommendation for one year, but your daughter may be able to handle it. The CF6 has the same performance certification as the Bustos did, but the two-piece design will create more trampoline effect for a contact hitter. You may plug her height and weight into Bat Coach for a size recommendation, too: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Mac

The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch is a balanced bat and is designed for a contact hitter. The 2013 DeMarini CF5 Insane: DXCFI Fastpitch is end loaded, and better for a power hitter. To break-in a composite bat we recommend taking 100-200 swings off a tee or soft toss. Rotate the barrel about 1/4" each swings. We also recommend not to use a composite bat in a batting cage that uses yellow dimpled balls.

Based on her height and weight a 31" is the suggested size, but a 32" will not be too much of a jump. The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch is a balanced bat and would be a great bat for a contact hitter.
Jason
My daughter now has the vendetta. Is the CF6:DXCFS comparable to what she has, or is it better? dd

My daughter is 5'2" and weighs 100 lbs. She is 12 and plays on a 12U travel team. She consistently makes contact, but we're hoping for more control, line drives and a quicker bat. She's hitting a 30 drop 10 now, but likes this bat as well as the 2013 CF5. Is this the best bat for her in a 31 drop 11? Gina
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 32" 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch, but a 31" will work as well. The CF6 is an excellent bat for a contact hitter looking for more control and line drives.
Jason
My daughter is 10 years old and is on a 10U ASA team. She 4'9" and 100 lbs. Looking for a good bat for her that isn't going to break my bank account as she is starting her 1st year in ASA Softball. Not sure on what size or drop. Nathan
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch is a great, top of the line model. If you're looking to keep the price lower, the 2014 Louisville Slugger M2 Fastpitch: FPM214-RR is a well-balanced, two-piece composite option in a -12, which is a great length to weight ratio for a 10 year old. Based on her size, I'd recommend a 31".
Katie
My daughter is 12 years old, 5'5" and 140 lbs. She has a CF5 32/22 now . What would you suggest? mom
Based on her height and weight, we would recommend getting the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) in a 33''. For more information on sizing please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/.
Tori
Does the DeMarini CF6, the Worth Sick fastpitch, or Louisville Slugger M2 Pride have the most pop? nat the bat
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch, Worth Sick and Louisville Slugger M2 Pride all have great pop. The two-piece design of the CF6 and M2 Pride are designed for a contact hitter. The one-piece design of the Worth Sick is better for a power hitter.
Kara
What is the difference between the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch and the 2014 DeMarini Vendetta C6: DXVCF Fastpitch? kim
Both the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch and the 2014 DeMarini Vendetta C6: DXVCF Fastpitch are two-piece composite bats. The CF6 will have a higher quality Paradox composite which creates a larger sweetspot than the Vendetta.
Damon
What is the difference between the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS and the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP? Kenzie
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS has a -11 drop, whereas the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP has a -10 drop.
Damon
I am 15 years old, 5 foot 1 inches maybe 100 pounds and I am looking for a bigger bat. Right now I have the DeMarini CF6 hope but it is a 32/22. Should I get a bigger bat? My team is moving up to 18u and I am the youngest, smallest, and weakest out of all of my teammates. Jillian
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" model in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) Fastpitch. The 32" model will provide you with more control and better bat speed against the higher competition.
Jason
My daughter is about 4'8" and weighs 70 lbs. She basically swings with hips and arms. Would the 2014 CF6 -11 be a good bat or would the 2012 DeMarini CF5: DXCFS be a fit for her? Johnny S
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) and the 2012 DeMarini CF5 will be comparable in performance. Both feature a balanced swing weight, a -11 length to weight ratio, and the Clutch2 Endcap. The only difference between the two is that the composite material make up of the barrel. The 2014 CF6 is made from Paradox composite which makes for a bigger, hotter sweet spot.
Tessa L.
I am 14 years old, 5'5" and 89 lbs. I have a fast swing but can not hit very hard. Would this bat be better or the CF5 -11? How does the Miken Triad -10 compare to these bats? Lily
If you have a quick bat, we recommend the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS). The CF6 and the Miken Triad are both two-piece composite bats with a balanced swing weight. They are both very high performing.
Kara
My daughter is 15. She is about 5'6" and weighs about 120 lbs. She has a fast swing, but it never goes very far. What would be my best choice of bat for her? Kristi
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch bat would be a really great bat selection. It will feel very light and balanced to go along with great performance. The -11 sizing should feel very comfortable for her.
Brandon
Where can I find the CF6 sprite 33/22 -10? josie
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch will be the CF6 that comes in a -10 size. Also, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Hope: DXCFH Fastpitch will come in -10 sizing as well. An example of this sizing will be a 30" 20 oz.
Brandon

Brandon
Is that the only color it comes in? DeVill
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) does not come in another color.
Kara
How many times do you need to hit this bat to break it in? rldallas
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) usually requires a break-in period of 150-200 swings off of a tee or soft toss with real softballs. Start the swing at 50% power and steadily work your way up. The barrel should be rotated ¼' after each swing to assure complete barrel coverage. As materials break down these bats get hotter.
Tori
My daughter is 4'11" and weighs 110. Powerful swing and plays 12u travel. Looking for 1st composite bat. Presently hitting with Easton 31 19 -12. Is the 31 20 the right choice? Andrew
Yes, that would be correct. Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 31" 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS).
Tessa L.
My daughter is 9 and weighs 52 lbs. What size would be good for her? Jamie
The size of the bat is best determined by a players height and weight. We recommend our bat coach to determine the correct size of the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS). Here is the link: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 30" model in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) Fastpitch. The 30" model is the suggested size, but you can go up or down an inch if you prefer.
Jason
My daughter is 14yrs old, 5'4" and weighs 130lbs, what bat size and weight do you recommend? JMac
Based on your daughters height and weight, we would recommend a 32 inch bat. Given her age, many players use either a -10 or a -12 length to weight ratio.

The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch is an excellent choice. It is a balanced bat that is high performing and durable. Based on your height and weight we recommend a 33" bat.
Tessa L.
Does the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS come in a 34" size? MadE
No, the largest size available for the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) is 33".
Tessa L.
Why do you recommend not using the yellow balls with dimples with the CF6,-11? dad asking?
The yellow dimpled balls are too dense. They can damage the composite material of the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS). We recommend using really softballs if you are using the bat in a batting cage.
Kara
My daughter just turned 14. She is 5' tall and weighs 120 lbs. She is playing with second year 14U girls this summer and is expected to play some 16U tournaments. She is a contact hitter and working on slapping. What size of this particular bat would be ideally suited for her? jrakai
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) Fastpitch.
Jason

The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) Fastpitch bat is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF leagues.
Patrick

Based on her height and weight we recommend a 32" 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS).
Kara
My daughter is 5' 3" and weighs 95 pounds. Do you recommend 31 or 32 inches? Would a corresponding drop 10 or 11 be best? Brad
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) Fastpitch. If she can handle the extra weight, the drop 10 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) Fastpitch is the best bat for her.
Jason
I am looking for a new bat for my daughter. She is almost 15 and playing for her high school this year. I am not sure on the length and drop to get. She is not a power hitter. She is 5'2" and weighs 114 lbs. Thanks. LLL6179
Based on her height and weight we recommend a 31" 20 oz. 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS).
Kara
I am looking at buying my daughter a CF6 34" 24 oz. for junior varsity play and eventually high school play. She is 5'10" and weighs 150 lbs. Is this bat legal for all high school play since it is a -10 drop? Thanks. jim
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) is a -11 and is legal in high school, but not college. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) is a -10, 34" 24 oz. and is legal in high school and college.
Kara
My daughter is barley 5' and weighs around 97 lbs. and is 14 years old. She wants to get the CF6 DXCFS 31" 20 oz. She plays travel and high school. Would this fit her? Xplosion
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) would be a great choice for a smaller player. It is very balanced and light weight. The 31" 20 oz. is the perfect size for her.
Kara
My daughter is 15. She is a pitcher (fast pitch high school) and she is using a CF4 now 34" 24 oz. She is 5'9" and 200 lbs. She has trouble keeping her eye on the ball but when she makes contact its gone. Should we be using a different size bat? Softball mom
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) is typically too light for a 15 year old player. The correct size for her height and weight is a 34" 24 oz.
Kara
What kind of break in period does this bat need? Can my daughter hit with it in a game as soon as she gets it? She is in a 10 and under league. a's mom
For the 2014 DeMarini CF6: (DXCFS) Fastpitch we do suggest a slight break in period. Generally, around 100-125 swings will be help open up those composite fibers. Make sure to turn the bat a quarter of inch time each time to help open up the entire barrel. After the bat has been broken in, it will be ready to perform in a game setting.
Merritt
My daughter is about 5' 120 lbs. She currently has a CF5 31" 20 oz. She has really fast hands and she is always in front of the ball. Will this bat feel too light for her? I've been thinking about getting her a 32" 22 oz. J Rod
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) is a lightweight bat and is typically better for a player that needs to increase their bat speed. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI) is slightly end loaded, and is a good option for a player with fast hands.
Kara
My daughter is 4'5" and weighs 65 lbs. Is this DeMarini CF6 29" going to be a good bat fore her? She is very fast and aggressive when she hits the ball. fast
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 30" 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS). Sizing is purely preferential so if she feels more comfortable with the 29" that is definitely something to take into account. For more information on sizing, check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Tessa L.
My daughter is 15, plays 14U tourney ball, and now high school ball too. For the last three seasons she's used her 2012 LS TPS Catalyst: FP12C2 (31", 19oz, slightly end weighted) and has loved it, but it's time to consider a new bat. Size-wise she is about 5'3", 105 lbs. She's a good contact hitter with descent bat speed. I was looking at the 32" CF6 DXCFS and DXCFP bats - appropriate bat & length for her? Any real differences between the two besides the -11 vs. -10? Any reason one would be better between the two for her? U14dad
We typically recommend a -10 for a high school player. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) is designed for younger players. We recommend a 32" 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP). Both bats use the same quality composite materials. The only difference is the drop.
Kara
I am 16 years old, 5' 6" 140 pounds. I play high school and travel. My current bat is 33" 24 oz. It feels too heavy, and I need to speed up my hands. Would a 33" CF6 -11 or CF6 -10 be better? Ky
Yes, a lighter bat would certainly allow you to achieve better bat speed. I would recommend the -11 if the current bat you are using feels too heavy, as that would allow for a 2 oz difference in weight whereas the 1 oz difference from the -10 might still feel too heavy.
Kyle J.
I'm thirteen years old. I weigh 137 and am 5"0 I make great contact with the ball. Which bat would you recomend and what height and wieght would you recomend Emma
Based on your height and weight and skill set I would recommend the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) in a 32" 21 oz. This bat has a nice balanced design and high drop number which would aid you with your contact style swing.
Zach
What is the difference in DXCFS and DXCFH? Jenniferlb
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Hope (DXCFH) both use the same quality paradox composite materials. The DXCFH is a -10 and the DXCFS is a -11.
Kara
My daughter is 13 years old. She's 5'7" and weighs 125 lbs. What type and size bat do you recommend? She is a good contact hitter with some power but have been using Easton or DeMarini entry level bats (under $100). I would like her to move to the next level and I'm willing to spend more to do it. Greg
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS is a great option for her. The balanced, two-piece design is ideal for a contact hitter. Based on her height and weight we recommend a 33" bat.
Kara
My child is 7 weighs about 41 pounds. Will this bat work for her? jessica
We recommend a 27" to a 28" for her age. The smallest size in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) is a 29". We recommend a lighter bat for her age. Here is a link to the 28", -12 bats: http://www.justbats.com/products/softball%20bats~fastpitch/length~28%20inch/length%20to%20weight%20ratio~-12/
Kara
My child is 13 yrs. old and 5'4" and weigh 165 lbs., I was just wondering what size bat should I get her and if the DeMarini Insane bat will be good? ms bee
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) is a great bat I would recommend a 33 in. 23 oz.. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI) It does have an end-loaded swing weight which means the bats weight will be towards the end the bat which goes well for power hitters. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) is a balanced swing weight which goes well for contact hitters.
Zach
Is the DeMarini CF6 Hope bat for power hitters? Or would you recommend the CF6 Insane? d_22_s
The DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) as well as the CF6 Hope are more for contact hitters. If you were looking for a power hitting model, I would highly recommend the DeMarini CF6 Insane. The Insane has an end loaded feel, which is ideal for power hitters.
Justin R.
I bought this bat for my daughter. Did I made the right choice? She is 12, going to be 13 in few months, 5"3 & 113pounds. I got her the 32" 21oz. texas pride
Using our Bat Coach, I determined that a 32" would be the best choice for a player your daughter's size in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS). So I believe you got the perfect size for your daughter.
Kelby
what size bat should my daughter use? she is 11 yrs old and weighs 75 lbs. amymom
Based on the players approximate age, the size we would suggest would be 31 inches.
Merritt
My daughter is hitting with a Demarini Bustos 30 inch 17 ounce. She is 4 foot 10 and 95 pounds. She definitely needs a longer and heavier bat. Would this bat in a 32 inch 21 ounce size be too much of a jump for her? softball mom
In general, for a player of your daughter's height and weight, we would suggest a 31 inch bat. A 32 inch bat could still be an option but would be heavier. Jumping 2 inches in length and 4 ounces in weight will make the bat feel much heavier and would definitely be a big adjustment. If the current bat she has is much too light then it may be fine. Otherwise, we would suggest possibly looking into a 31 inch 20 ounce 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) bat or even a 31 inch 19 ounce of another bat.
Patrick
My daughter is 4'8" 90 lbs and uses a 2013 CF5 28/18. Would the 31/20 in this bat be good for her? go dad
Based on her approximate height and weight the size that we would suggest would be 30 inches. However, the size will ultimately come down to what she feels most comfortable swinging. The 2014 DeMarini CF6: (DXCFS) has been extremely popular, and has been highly reviewed as well. This is an excellent choice to take a look at, and it will be high performing.
Merritt
Is it a balanced bat or a end loaded bat? Gabs
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) Fastpitch is a balanced bat.
Damon
My daughter is 5'6" 160 lbs. She likes a 33" bat and the one she is borrowing is 23 oz, -10. It feels too heavy. She is on her high school varsity team and I thought this lighter model would be a good fit. Is it appropriate? kiki
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) would be an ideal fit for a high school player who is having trouble generating the right bat speed with a -10 length to weight ratio. This item is lighter but has an extremely similar Sweet Spot and the ability to produce power and distance.
Gary T.
My daughter is currently using the CF5 32/-11. It's starting to sound "funny" when she connects with certain balls. She is 5'4"/5'5" and weighs just over 105 lbs (x-small frame). She's hitting very well w/CF5 on her high school and summer travel softball team (line drives and outfield fences). Will the CF6 be a suitable replacement? mary
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) would be a great choice. The Paradox composite gives the bat an extra large sweet spot that should produce a lot of pop.
Bobby
Can I get this bat for a lower price? 44
We do offer price matching, so if you find a lower price on another reputable site that we can verify on our end, we can match it. Shipping costs and tax factor into price matching as well.
Kyle J.
I am on a varsity softball high school team, and almost everyone has a composite bat! I really like this bat, but I'm not sure what size to get. I am 5'5" and about 104 lbs. Madi
Using our Bat Coach, I determined that a 32" in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) would be the best fit for a player your size.
Kelby
I am interested in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 for my two daughters. One is age 10, and 85 lbs. The other is 12 and 90 lbs. What size/weight bat would you recommend for them? Thanks. Angie
The best recommended sizes for your daughters would be a 30" and 31" in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS Fastpitch). The -11 and -10 drop sizes would both be appropriate.
Brandon
I am 5'5" and I weigh 110 lbs. What size bat should I use in this model? Or should I buy another bat that is better? ant
Based on your approximate height and weight, I would suggest a 32" in the 2014 DeMarini CF6: (DXCFS). This model is very high quality and will be top of the line in performance. I would highly suggest the 2014 DeMarini CF6: (DXCFS) or the 2014 Louisville Slugger Xeno: (FPXN14-RR). Both of these have been very popular, and will be great for players looking to take their game to the next level.
Merritt
What is the difference between this bat and DeMarini CF6 DXCFP? ladydi
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS Fastpitch) will be a -11 size. The CF6 DXCFP will be a -10 size bat. That and the color will be the only difference.
Brandon
My daughter is playing high school softball. She is 5'2" 152 lbs. What bat would you recommend? Chaundra
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) would be a great option to check out, however, it has been discontinued from DeMarini. The new model is the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS. These bats feature balanced swing weights, which is great for a contact hitter looking to work on bat speed and control. The two-piece design will create more flex on contact (when comparing it to a one-piece bat), which can create more of a whipping action that helps the head of the bat whip forward at the moment of contact, generating more inertia and power.
Tessa
My daughter is 5'2" tall and weighs 117 lbs. What size bat do you recommend for her ? bebe
I would recommend the 32" 21 oz. model in the DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) based on her size.
Tom
My daughter is 8 years old and is 4 foot 1 and weighs 60 pounds. What size DeMarini CF6 or CF7 bat should she use? Joanne
Based on height and weight, we would suggest a 28 or 29 inch size of the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) or DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS).
Patrick
My granddaughter who is 8 years of age around 80 pounds plays fastpitch and has a Worth 26 inch 17 ounce. What has the best bet been in coaching for years. I am looking at the DeMarini really has a great pop what do you think? Poppy
The DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) is a great -11 bat and would be a nice option. The newer 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) would have sizing options available that would be more size appropriate for her though.
Patrick
My daughter is 14 and about 5'5, probably still growing. She plays travel and will be in high school next year. Want to buy her a bat for xmas. Was looking at the 2016 insane bat. Just not sure if a 33 or 34 inch would be better. sam
I would suggest getting your daughter the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI) in a 33" 23 oz.
Cameron

Looking into the DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bats that we have carried in the past, the only model showing up is the DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS. The DXCFX would be a Youth Big Barrel Bat. Please advise what bat you are referring to.

John P.
I'm 5' tall and weigh 103 pounds. I am in my first year playing at a high school fast pitch . Do you recommend 32 or 33? Jasmine

John
My daughter is a 16 year old, 5'4", and 105 lbs. What bat size do you recommend? What bat would you recommend CF6 or CF8 DXCFP? Marie
Based on her height and weight, I would recommend swinging a 31" length bat. Both the DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS or the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP are going to be great bats. The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP is going to feature an upgraded composite material, as well as the D-Fusion 2.0 Handle technology. This technology is designed to help reduce vibration and re-direct energy back into the bat.
Nick

Unfortunately the DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS is no longer being made by DeMarini.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
