Pros: I just got this bat(32in 23oz.)a few days ago. It has great pop and went above and beyond my expectations. I recomend this bat to anyone looking for a bat with great pop, balanced feel, and half-half technology.
Cons: Hard to hit inside pitches but one down the middle is long gone.
Pros: Lots of pop hit a home run in my 50/70 game on first pitch. It doesn't sting on inside pitches, great bat.
Cons: none
Pros: Ball explodes off it right out the wrapper.
Cons: Nothing
Pros: i was using a 2013 cf5 then i got this bat and the ball just flys of the barrel if you can handle the end load then get this bat this the best bat i have ever swung
Cons: nothing
Pros: has lots of pop
Cons: nothing really besides this bat is more for the power hitters and not contact
Pros: Just got the bat. Has great pop out of the wrapper. Hit a 260" home run with it.
Cons: Nothing.
Pros: If your kid is a slugger, this is the bat he needs. I have a big 10 almost 11 year old who used the Combat B2 DaBomb for for three years. That bat was fantastic, but it was time for him to graduate to the next level of batting technology. I learned that end loaded bats are better for sluggers so I took my chances on the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo. That was the best decision. The first time using the bat my son hit two 185 foot line drives and his third hit was 190 foot grounder. Our youth umpires like to call outside strike one or two balls out of the zone, but that was no problem for my son. The bat is 32" 23 oz. which gives him plenty of reach for outside pitches. Anecdotally, the sound off this bat is a beautiful aluminum ping when used properly by the batter. If I had three thumbs, they would all be up for this bat.
Cons: This bat is definitely on the pricey side, but if you are wanting to put the best hardware in your sons hands, you're going to have to put down the extra bucks. What is interesting is the number of other players who are borrowing my son's bat after seeing what he can do with it.
Pros: Just received this bat yesterday for my 11 year old. He wanted the 32/23 and he is 5'3" 125 lbs. We just went to the park and he hit 3 HR's and multiple shots to the fence. He is a power hitter but this bat just put him over the top! I usually do not get excited and believe hype on products but this bat is unreal! He was swinging the DeMarini Distance which was a cheap bat and no pop. He is extremely excited to put it in play during a game! DeMarini has definitely gone over the top with this bat! I highly recommend it if your son is a power hitter as the end load is perfect!
Cons: Not a one!
Pros: This bat has great pop and a balanced feel.
Cons: None.
Pros: This is the best bat I have ever owned. It has great pop right away. It is perfect for contact hitters and power hitters. Go and buy this bat.
Cons: Everybody on the team will want to use it because it is so good.
Pros: Good size barrel. Balls down the middle are going to be hit very hard.
Cons: For power hitters. I am a contact, left handed player, I get jammed on inside pitches every time.
Pros: Really good pop has a great grip and even if you get jammed you will not feel the vibration.
Cons: Practice because it has a little bit of an end loaded feel
Pros: Amazing pop and cool design.
Cons: None.
Pros: it has a lot of pop u will hit bombs
Cons: the end is very heavy
Pros: really good pop big sweetspot great balance overall awesome bat
Cons: none
Pros: My son used the Voodoo last year and hit line drives everywhere. He moved to a -10 balanced bat this season and struggled. I bought him this 2014 Voodoo and he started raking again. Had the July of his life and moved from contact hitting to hitting line drives and even clearing the fence. My son is 12u and says it is the best bat he's used...and we buy lots of bats. This year he started with the 2013 CF5, moved to the Black2, went back to the 2014 CF5, and finished the season with this 2014 Voodoo. Wish we could have just started with this and his season would have been epic. Bat he used to have a fantastic Cooperstown tournament (we won our week). Only reason I will change now is to get the same bat only bigger next year. Get it!
Cons: We didn't find any....
Pros: Love the grip and balance of this bat the ball jumps off of it !
Cons: None
Pros: Really responsive out of the wrapper went up to lake tahoe for a hardcore world series 4 triples 6 doubles and 1 hr get this bat if you can handle a little bit of endload
Cons: NOTHING
Pros: this bat is just unbelieveable! i just got it today and its amazing. Great pop, HUGE Sweetspot, and no vibration/sting at all! just go get this bat Now!!!!
Cons: none at all, amazing bat!
Pros: It has good pop and has low vibration it is great for power and contact hitters.
Cons: Why would it have any just buy the bat!
Pros: This bat has very good pop
Cons: the bat got chipped about a month after i got it
Pros: Great pop and great feel through zone
Cons: None yet
Pros: I purchased this bat for my son, he is 13. He has used nothing but voodoo bats for the past 2 seasons. He absolutely loves the feel of the ball coming off the bat. It is the most durable bat that he has used. Keep up the good work DeMarini
Cons: None
Pros: This bat is amazing. It has fantastic pop. It doesn't sting. This bat will just complete your life. If you get the ball on the sweet spot, that's huge by the way, the ball will be over the wall. This is the best bat ever.
Cons: haven't found any.
Pros: I just got this bat. I could not try it out though, because I was injured with a broken hand. The first game I played, I went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles. One of them went to the warning track at Big League Dreams. This bat is the way to go.
Cons: Try and convince me there are any cons...
Pros: great for a power hitter or any hitter
Cons: none
Pros: I ordered the 32/23 version of this bat. It is balanced with great pop. I swung the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo and this is a lot lighter. The bat has a monster barrel and the Paradox composite handle eliminates the vibration. I recommend this bat to any player.
Cons: None
Pros: i used this bat in the 13 year old world series. It is an awesome bat with a lot of pop.
Cons: this is not a con, but could you like this review if you were at the Williston world series as a coach, player or fan.
Pros: This bat has extaordinary pop and is low-priced on this webstite!
Cons: none
Pros: i got this bat today and took it to the cage with me. it has great pop right out of the wrapper! i am a more of contact hitter and i can get around fine with this bat. i got an amazing deal on this bat, i got it for 129.99 and it is normally 259.99! the rck knob is very comfortable on my bottom hand. if you can, go out and buy this bat, you will not regret it??
Cons: why are cons even an option
Pros: I am a coach of a 13u select team. This bat has more pop than any other bat we have on our team. It is definitely an end loaded bat, not a balanced bat. A good bat for a power hitter more than it is for a contact hitter that is looking to increase bat speed. The sweet spot on this bat is massive. The ball explodes off the bat. It has a nice grip and the RCK knob is really comfortable. I would definitely recommend this bat.
Cons: Good bat for a player looking for more power but not for a contact hitter looking for more bat speed.
Pros: I was worried this bat would be to heavy for my son but it swings very even and a really nice bat. My older son has this bat and I was so impressed with it I bought the same one for my younger son. My older sons grip actually started to wear out because he uses it so much - called DeMarini and they were wonderful about replacing it.
Cons: It does chip like all other bats
Pros: no vibration, giant sweet spot, the ball comes off faster then any other bat on the team, and 8 home runs in one tournament. the bat is used by a 11u team but was bought by just one player then the rest of the team fell in love with the pop of each hit.
Cons: waiting to see.
Pros: Great pop and sound off the sweet spot. My son is swinging this bat better than any other bat he has owned. The end loaded Voodoo is providing more power through his impact zone. Unwrapped it on a Friday…Played his first tournament starting the next day. He went 3/5 (and 4 walks) with 3 hard doubles to the wall. Could have been a fourth double if not for a great catch by the center fielder. Great pop and feel from the first swing. I don't know if it is just a mental advantage because of a new bat, or the balance of the bat is making the difference…all I can tell you is that the ball flies off the sweet spot of this bat. My contact / base hitter has become a power hitter with the Voodoo in his hands.
Cons: Everyone on his team was begging to swing his new bat
Pros: I just got a 31" 2014 DeMarini Voodoo DXVDR -9 for my 12 year old son, who is 5'4", 130 lbs. Wow! The ball comes off the bat so much faster than any of his previous composite bats. It is beautiful and feels solid and well made. Coming from a -11, I was a little concerned about the -9, but he swings this bat at least as fast as his -11. He says it is the "best improvement in a new bat I've ever had!"
Cons: None.
Pros: Very good pop and feel in your hand. At the first batting practice I was hitting bombs left and right with no sting at all.
Cons: The paint shows ware very quickly other than that overall great bat.
Pros: Hitting homeruns in babe Ruth as a thirteen year-old end heavy but great bat all the sames
Cons: Gonna have to think long and hard about that
Pros: Balance and overall feel. Grip tape. Improved knob. This bat has worked out great for my son. He is 5' 4" and about 130 lbs. He has very good power, but swing speed has been an issue. He plays 12U travel and was having trouble catching up to some of the faster pitchers. The 30/21 has helped a lot. I know it is a matter of technique and not merely the bat, but he has really come around with this one. He loves the more rounded knob and says it is the most comfortable bat he has swung.
Cons: None yet.
Pros: Too many!!! Hot right the wrapper. My son who is 10 was already a power hitter but this bat provides that extra pow that gave him extra confidence in his approach. 6 triples and 2 doubles in this weekends Super NIT in Arizona. Thank you DeMarini for a great product ands JustBats for a great deal.
Cons: None
Pros: Pop is great, hit my first homer with it. It feels good and does not sting. You need to get.
Cons: You must be ungrateful if you have a con
Pros: Got this bat for my 9 yo for this spring season. He's swinging it better than his slightly lighter bat, has great pop out of the wrapper and is performing well. The bat is a steal at this price. Very happy, thank you Just Bats!
Cons: None
Pros: I was having trouble with my swing for a while, but I got this bat one day before my tournament at BLD. I was the first in the order and first up of the game, I got 2 singles, 1 double 1 triple and 1 homerun I was never a power hitter but now I'm one of the best hitters on my team, this is the best bat I have ever had. I like this over my 2013 s1 I think this could easily be one of the best bats on the market.
Cons: Nothing really but it does chip easily.
Pros: Great bat overall. Feels good no matter where you hit it on the bat. Looks sweet. Hit over 600 after I have got it.
Cons: It does chip but it does not affect anything.
Pros: im not much of a good opposite field hitter, but when i got the 2014 voodoo, i have started to dominate the outside pitch. not much vibration, which makes you feel confident in hitting the ball inside, unlike the other voodoos.
Cons: started to give me lots of blisters after i was swinging. but other from that, an amazing bat.
Pros: Good bat. My boy is hitting really well with it. He likes the pop and says there isn't much vibration.
Cons: Non
Pros: pop and price
Cons: none
Pros: everything its well balanced and had tons of POP!!!!
Cons: grip logo comes of easily but nothing to worry about.
Pros: great pop, gives ur swing a great feel! easily hits absolute rockets! not to mention a huge sweet spot
Cons: a bit top heavy
Pros: everything
Cons: nothing
Pros: This bat is amazing I've hit two triples and multiple doubles it has great pop and all my friends want t use it also any pitch you turn on if you make contact with the sweet spot it either a deep hit or a tough grounder you can dig some low pitches too and hit them in the gap
Cons: None
Pros: this is a really good bat i have a kid on my team who uses it i have always wanted to use it but he wont let anyone cause he doesnt want to lose how munch pop this bat has amazing overall bat get it!!
Cons: paint wares of but not about the looks it about how u hit with it
Pros: Looks cool just got it haven't used it yet.
Cons: To much swag.
Pros: My son has had the VooDoo for almost 6 months now and he has played in 3 travel tournaments and is finishing regular PARD season. I can say this bat has exceeded our expectations. The bat has a great feel to it as well as looks cool but more than anything, rarely, rarely do you ever get any vibrations. It has very good pop with a hood size sweet spot. We enjoyed the Vexxum we bought last year very much and it may have a slight more pop than the VooDoo but i would highly recommend the VooDoo by far over it. I wish I had more experience with other bats, but i do not. I am familiar with the S3 but they seem to dent after a little use. If you are looking for a good bat for your son and you dont want to spend $300+ then get the VooDoo and will not be disappointed!
Cons: None that I can think of!
Pros: I bought this bat for my 12 yr. old boy to use in his U12 league. I'm incredibly happy I made the choice. He has been a power hitter but now that he has this bat, I can say he is a "POWER HITTER". You will not be disappointed!
Cons: No Voodoo head cover to keep the bat warm!
Pros: I got this yesterday and I hit it in the LF/CF gap today. Best bat ever
Cons: Scratches Esily
Pros: I am a left handed contact hitter and with this bat it makes me more of a power hitter. So much Pop and has a great grip... oh yeah the handle in comfortable.
Cons: none
Pros: DeMarini really nailed it with this bat. The pop and vibration combination creates the best bat for any baseball player. It's barrel size is perfect for the key baseball player looking for a replica-pro bat, and the designs are rad! -Kelsey McNanie 101 Baseball News http://www.101baseballnews.com
Cons: None
Pros: Bought the youth 29 / -13 model for my 10 yr old (70 lbs )... No lie, he hit a Homerun with this bat the 1st game he used it... The other kids on the team have been trying it out and now most of them want to use this bat in the game too. My son says the bat feels great to swing and it has awesome pop... My son loves this bat so much he says he has a "special bond" with his bat... LOL!!!!
Cons: The only con is this bat is so GOOD that now all the other kids on the team love using my son's bat too and I am worried it is going to lose it's pop faster now... But, we got a Little League Tournament of Champions to win ( I am a coach) so I can live with it getting used up faster by the other kids.... Go Silverado LL Minors Braves!!!
Pros: This bat is awesome. Great pop. I hit a walk off double with this bat.
Cons: none
Pros: Great pop, weighting and looks. Don't know about the durability as I have only had the bat a couple of weeks. No vibration transfer to the hands!!
Cons: None
Pros: Solid bat all around, great pop, no sting
Cons: End loaded, so you need a bit more strength or size to get it around. I bought a 29" for my son who plays 10u travel that is 4'4" and weighs 60 lbs but is very fit and strong for his size. It slowed his swing down a bit so we retired this bat til next year. He absolutly loves this bat and was crushing it in BP but in game situations it was just a bit too big.
Pros: This bat has great pop. My son loves his new bat and looks forward to batting practice now.
Cons: It will sometimes vibrates in your hands if you don't square up the ball.
Pros: great pop, its amazing, i lov it, great for kids with not much strength because tremendous pop thr ball really flies off the bat. but works with any amount of strength though.
Cons: nothing!!:)
Pros: the ball jumps off the bat if you square it up, good for solid line drive hitters..... this gives kids with no power a chance to drive the ball pretty good.
Cons: it has a ton of sting on the inside pitches... they're also hard to hit due to the two piece construction of the bat its self
Pros: I had 7 hits in my double header all with bat hit 1 home run great pop in babe Ruth
Cons: Break in awesome bat
Pros: I'm 13 and this bat is the best one i have ever had grate pop get it now
Cons: None
Pros: This bat is off the chain!! My 12 year old hit 3 HR's in one tourney. Every ball jumps off of this bat with intent. Most of the team is using this bat and are killing the baseball. I can't say enough about DeMarini bats. WOW!!
Cons: I did not find this bat sooner!!
Pros: Bat has made a big difference in distance and average for my son. Doubles have turned into triples and home runs.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Awesome bat. I hit tons of bombs as soon as I got it.
Cons:
Pros: NONE
Cons: NO POP
Pros: When I got it my first hit was almost out of the park. Some weeks went by and I finally hit it over
Cons: Nothing
Pros: Really great pop if hit on the sweetspot
Cons: Small sweetspot, easy to get jammed.
Pros: Simply an amazing bat! Supposedly end loaded, can barely tell. My son uses the 2 5/8, 30/21 and this has been the best bat he has ever used. Give your son a test run with this one, and he will most likely not want to try another. Graphics are very eye catching. Ideal for a #4 hitter in the lineup, although contact hitters would love it too. Give this BEAST a try, i doubt you will regret it.
Cons: none
Pros: This is the third bat in 3 years we have bought our son, and he finally says this is his bat. He said the feel is so comfortable and the pop is amazing.
Cons: N/A
Pros: Just got this bat today and have practice tomorrow, cant wait to test this beauty out
Cons:
Pros: great bat bought a 30 21 for my 11yr old first at bat hits a 2 run homerun and 2nd at bat hits a standing double
Cons: none
Pros: Great Bat
Cons: Hard to hit inside pitches
Pros: Great bat Vibrates a little
Cons: Hard to hit inside pitches
Pros: I hit with it at the Florence Freedom and hit two Home Runs
Cons: none
Pros: this bat is hot right out of the wrapper. great for power hitters and contact hitters looking for a little more pop off the bat.
Cons: grip tape is very uncomfortable and rips easily
Pros: I picked this bat up a couple weeks ago for my son. 30 drop 9, had great pop right out of the wrapper. He is a power hitter and the end load of the bat has helped big time. The ball jumps.off this bat, I have never seen him hit the ball so hard.
Cons: None
Pros: Purchased this bat for my 12 year old who I thought was a power hitter, but I am certain he is now. It was a crazy transformation. The ball didn't have a chance. Down the middle or even a little outside he drove it further than he had ever before. It sounds great coming of the bat. Don't second guess it, this is the perfect bat. He hit home run after home run with this bat. 5 in Cooperstown.
Cons: Tough with inside pitches, but unless the player opens up and adjusts to the pitch, what bat is good with inside pitches.

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
