Description

Last season, Easton's Power Brigade Series dominated the softball diamond. This season, the all new Power Brigade Series picks up right where the original Series left off so the concept of the Power Brigade remains the same: allow players to personalize their power. The fact is, that players draw power from different sources. Stronger players may want a bit more weight and endload to their bat, while smaller players want a little less weight and a balanced feel. Easton solves this problem by offering Power Brigade bats in two categories: The Speed Series and The XL Series. Speed Series bats (FS1, FS2, and FS3) are characterized by lighter length to weight ratios and balanced swing weights to produce faster swing speeds and more power as a result. XL Series bats (FX1 and FX2) are going to be a little heavier and have a endloaded feel, giving stronger players extra momentum through the zone and more power behind each swing. This bat, the FS1, is a two-piece fully composite design that features a barrel made from Easton's IMX Composite that uses ConneXion Technology to connect to an ultra-thin handle made from their SIC Black Carbon Composite. If you're looking for extra swing speed this season, there's only one logical choice - the bat that's built for SPEED to give YOU more POWER! Easton: Engineered for Glory! The FS1 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by Easton's exclusive 12 Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Great pop and even swing.. the midge in San DIego Ca player

Pros: dhgtr is 5.1 140(big girl) I have her use this bat for faster pitchers and loves it. good pop faster swing. Compared to the endloaded cf5(insane red) that she has hit homeruns with.

Cons: very even feel to it. I little thicker grip maybe?

Great Bat !! 14's Dad parent

Pros: Bought this for my (then) 13yo to use against better varsity pitchers (she plays varsity). Same "pop" as her FX1 but able to get it around a tad quicker. Will more than likely stick with the FX1 this year though . Yep, even use it in the cage .... it just don't quit very durable!

Cons: NONE!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton FS1 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP14S1? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this a good bat for a power hitter? What is the difference from the MAKO? honey badger
The 2014 Easton FS1: FP14S1 Fastpitch is a balanced and light weight bat. The MAKO has a slightly longer barrel. If you are looking for an end loaded that is more designed for a power hitter the FX1 would be a good choice.

My daughter is 13 and is 5'5" and weighs 89 pounds. We bought her this same bat in 2012 and she has hit awesome with it from day one. Would you recommend the FS1 or another Easton bat and what size? Before we bought the 2012 model she never could hit the ball out of the infield due to her being small for her age. But once she started using it she was knocking them into the outfield. She is a 90% contact hitter and needs something with pop due to her small size. Rebecca
Yes, the 2014 Easton FS1: FP14S1 Fastpitch bat would be a great selection! The 32" 22oz. would be an ideal size for her.
Brandon
My daughter is 5'6" 15 year old playing varsity softball in NC. She is a great contact hitter/Slapper but is looking for a bat that will give her more power. What do you recommend from the Easton line up. Her last bat was a stealth and she loved it. CJ
I would suggest the 2014 Easton FS1 (FP14S1) Fastpitch bat. Its two-piece full composite construction design should help her gain some power. This bat will still be good for a contact hitter as well. It really is the best of both worlds.
Jackson
My daughter is 14, is 5' 4" and weighs 110 lbs. She is also a lefty slap hitter. What size bat should she get, and should she get the FS1 or the FS2? I'm not sure whether she should be using a one or two-piece bat. BSFC
Most slap hitters prefer the two-piece design, so I think you are on the right track with the 2014 Easton FS1 (FP14S1). Based on her height and weight, I would recommend going with a 32".

What are the differences between the FS1, FS2, FX1, and FX2? hannah
The differences between Easton FS and FX Series will be the swing weight. The FS-Series is more balanced and feels lighter. The FX-Series will feel slightly end loaded and more barrel heavy. Power hitting girls seem to love the FX-Series. The 2014 Easton FS1 (FP14S1 Fastpitch) is a two-piece design. The FS2 is a one-piece design.
Brandon
Sounds balanced and good for a slapper/contact hitter? Alyssa
The 2014 Easton FS1 (FP14S1 Fastpitch) would be great for a contact/slap hitter. It will be very balanced.
Brandon
My daughter is 10 playing on a 12u team and is a slapper/contact hitter. She is very petite, 4' 4" and 60 lbs. Which bat and length do you recommend? Dawn
Based on her height and weight I would recommend a 28"/17 oz. bat. The 2015 DeMarini CF7 (DXCFS) would be my recommendation for a balanced, composite bat.
Bobby
My daughter is 13, 5'3" and 104 lbs. She currently is using a 2012 Demarini Crystl Bustos. She is a contact hitter ans and is looking to gain more power. What bat would you recommend? Kim
Based on results from our Bat Coach (http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/), we recommend a 2014 Easton FS1 (FP14S1) for a player with your height and weight.
Sean
My daughter is 5'7" and weighs 110 lbs. She is a slapper, what size and weight bat do you recommend? leo
For a player of her size, our bat coach recommends the 2014 Easton FS1 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14S1) in a 32" 22 oz. model.
Joe
Is this bat the closest model to the Easton Synergy? And if not, what is? JESSIE
The 2014 Easton FS1 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14S1) would be most similar to the older Stealth models from Easton with its two-piece design. For a one-piece model like the Synergy, the 2014 Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14S2) would be most comparable. Both the FS1 and FS2 are balanced designs, as well.
Mac
Is there a break in process for the FS1 bat or can you use it out of the box? Tim
The 2014 Easton FS1 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14S1) will require a break-in period because it is a full composite design. We recommend around 150 swings off a tee or soft toss to help break-in those composite fibers. Also, make sure you rotate the barrel about a quarter of an inch every 15-20 swings to fully break-in the composite fibers throughout the bat.
John
I am a power hitter. I currently us the stealth and I love it. I hit many HR's with it, but its time to replace it. Would you recommend the FS1? Meg
The Easton FS1 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14S1) is a bat that is built to increase bat speed and to give players more power. Since you are a power hitter, I would recommend the Easton FS1.
Liz
Is this bat legal for both CIF and ASA girls fastpitch games? Joan
Absolutely. The Easton FS1 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14S1) is approved for play in all high school and college leagues, as well as major organizations like ASA, USSSA, NSA, etc.
Mac
Hi, my daughter is a line drive hitter, she is 12, 5' 2", 115 lbs. She currently has the DeMarini CF6 -11 (31in/20oz) and loves it but wants a slightly bigger bat. I am looking at the CF6 -11 (32in/21oz), the Easton FP14S1 (32"/22oz) and the Easton FS1 ZERO -11 (32"/21oz). Any thoughts on bat and size. She tried the Xeno but didn't like it so much. KeithB
A 32" Easton FS1 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14S1), 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS), or the 2015 Easton FS1 ZERO -11 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15S111) would all be excellent options for your daughter.
Jake
Would it be easy to hit one over the fence with this bat? Niki
The Easton FS1 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP14S1 is an excellent two-piece composite design that is very highly reviewed in the pop category. This would be a great option for someone swinging for the fence. Unfortunately, we are completely sold out of this Easton FS1.
John P.
What year is this model bat? Tammy
The Easton FS1 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP14S1 is a 2014 model.
