Best bat George Mayer other
Pros: Low MOI, longer barrel. My nephew's 31 - 22 feels lighter than his CF5 30 - 20. Everyone that tries it, loves it.
Cons: Price, availability.
Mako -9 Fernando Garza parent
Pros: My son plays 11u elite ball he is about 5'4" and weight 130lbs, I bought him the 32/23 Mako and he loves it. The first batting practice he used it he hit one off the fence and one over the fence. All the kids on the team were checking out the bat after practice.
Cons: None yet, just used it for one practice so far.
Great pop Wilson ball glove fan player
Pros: Nice pop not broken in yet and already hitting them all deep
Cons: None
Great Bat / Best I have had B-man player
Pros: I'm 8 and got the 27/17 and it swings great. It has a lot of pop. I really like the grip. love the sound it makes when you hit.
Cons: wish it wasnt white so it didnt show all the dings and dirt. Cost a lot
Nice pop, but paint chipped on end Troy parent
Pros: Pop, nice looking bat
Cons: Paint has small chip on end. Not sure what caused it, but very small blemish.
mako charles tomas parent
Pros: good bat my son just got two ,one big barrel and one bbcor and he loves both of them.;D
Cons: non yet
A Must Buy Ryan S. player
Pros: There is a lot of pop and is very light. Allows for a great swing.
Cons: None
Great but.. Johnny Baseball player
Pros: Its an amazing bat. l have fell in love with it
Cons: Its not legal on 2014 babe ruth baseball unless you get the BBCOR version which is well balanced
Hot shot bats
Pros: Best bat ever had massive pop right of the bat great for the price I love this bat!??
Cons: None.
its ok annonomous player
Pros: feels good but the xl series to me is superier to this but i love the 2 3/4 barrel its like a tennis racket
Cons: not as much pop as xl1 or xl3
easton mako brad moffitt player
Pros: alright guys i have used this bat in only practices so far but when i was batting it feels so nice in the hands lots of pop and im still just breaking it in the ball flies off the bat. the feel is nice it is really balaced. durability is good all there is are marks from the ball on the bat but we are playing baseball not having a tea party i have hit some off the end of the bat and it seems like the vibration is not even there because on my old bat that would of killed me
Cons: marks on the bat
Great bat! coach andrew coach
Pros: Pop, feel, great bat for a power hitter
Cons: Price
its a good bat richard coach
Pros: bat has very balanced feel, good pop and large sweet spot.with that being said I also have the combat portent which has just as much pop if not more and very balanced with a cheaper price tag just being honest
Cons: white paint shows wear bad and the cost
mako Brady player
Pros: tons of pop great for travel
Cons: very expensive
Nothing Special Pcrock parent
Pros: Good balance. Looks nice.
Cons: I bought two of these (30/21) for my 11U and 12U sons. They are good contact hitters with decent power. This bat has not performed as expected. Power numbers are down and pop off the bat just is not there (and, yes, we followed the normal break-in procedures for composite bats). They hit much better with their Rip-It bats and even the old Easton S3. One of my 12U's teammates also had one and noticed the same thing (and is no longer using). Not worth the money.
Hate it Robert parent
Pros: none
Cons: After nearly a full season with this bat we're giving up on it. Has more thud than pop. After another lackluster game, threw my son batting practice switching back and forth between his Mako and last years DeMarini Voodoo. He was clearly hitting the ball harder with the DeMarini. I know the Mako is balanced and the DeMarini is end loaded but expected much more pop out of the Mako. Just ordered a new Voodoo Overlord to finish out the season.
Amazing!!! Miguel Cabrera other
Pros: great pop, light weight, and my nephew loves it!
Cons: the price
-9 Mako Big Barrel RJD parent
Pros: Looks good and swings easily.
Cons: I bought this for my 10/11 year old son and we are very disappointed. He loved his Mako -11 for Little League and was crushing to ball. I got this bat for travel ball and we compared the pop to his lighter mako and older Demarini Voodo. If I could return this bat, I definitely would. It just doesn't hit for much power for whatever reason. All of the other bats we were using hit for better power.
Almost impossible to break in scott parent
Pros: Good feel
Cons: I have 2 orange Mako's and they were smokin' hot out of the wrapper but this bat is totally different. I've made it my mission to get this bat as hot as the orange mako ( no rolling or shaving). Finally after 2000 hits its starting to get some pop. This composite material is hard to break down!
tricked again Avoid this bat parent
Pros: balance and feel
Cons: Easton makes great Little League bats - Mako 2 1/4 had tons of pop right out of wrapper. 2 5/8 version not so much, just as dead as the S1 series. Thought Mako 2 5/8 would be like their 2 1/4 bat and it is not.
Mako -9 Mr. White parent
Pros: Bought for my son for travel and he loves it. This baby has a massive sweet spot which the ball just flies off the barrel. Son just hit 3 Massive HR in his last Tournament Just bought him the Mako Torq but he loves to uses this one more!
Cons: Wish bat didn't have so much white, show ball marks way to easy. I also notice that it has more of a ping sound. I thought it was because it was new at first and needed to be broken in. But after a full Spring/Summer/and now fall ball that sound still appears. Sounds more like an alloy then composite.
Great bat no more dents for us! David parent
Pros: Super solid! My son plays 11U tournament baseball. The pitching is faster and the boys are starting to hit alot harder so we have about 4 dented aluminum bats in the dougout at all times love warranty programs! Bring in the MAKO...no dents..lots of solid hits. In fact my friend commenting on the price of the MAKO was saying, "this is like the cost of my new Driver" and pretended to make a golf swing hit the barrel on a piece of angle iron! I nearly fainted but it only chipped the paint. NO CRACK AND NO DENT. A BEAST of BAT!
Cons: Kids really need to strive for swing speed with this bat. I would err on the side of slightly smaller than they need. I have seen many kids not able to get around with the 29" my kid uses. Even the 28" feels heavier than most other bats of a similar length and weight. Other cons..IDK none that know of..we have used ours since last spring and now in the fall its still hitting hard.
Great Baseball Bat Joseph player
Pros: The 2014 Senior League Mako is a great baseball bat. It has great pop and a huge sweet spot while maintaining good swing weight.
Cons: I think that the bat could use a little more orange like the youth version. The senior league to me feels more like the xl1 because it feels quite endloaded, but maybe its just because it's heavier than the youth mako. Otherwise, the price, but you get what you pay for.
Very good bat Logan player
Pros: I play travel and it is very light and good pop
Cons: The price is a lot
Go with skinny barrel Tanner player
Pros: Very balanced, big sweetspot
Cons: Not much pop, takes forever to break in, the youth version of this has WAY more pop
Not like the youth barrel Baseball Dad parent
Pros: Easy swing, Very Durable, Barrel length. This Bat isn't a bad bat, just don't expect the pop you have seen from youth barrel version. My son has the XL1 and Mako youth barrel, and hits both about 270 feet at 10u last year. the Big barrel Mako hits about 220 (same as distance with the Rip It far cheaper) . Wish the bat companies made bats as hot as the CF4 and B2 big barrels were in 2010. With those two Big Barrels still hits 270 and further.
Cons: None really, Not really end loaded as most companies now have switched to more balanced bats, Demarini VooDoo is about the only end loaded bat left.
"Best Bat Ever" SY10 player
Pros: Great pop write out of the wrapper. Just broke it in and am hitting cage bombs right now. Can't weight for the season to start!!
Cons: NONE
Overrated Thad parent
Pros: Bright color
Cons: The Mako turned out to be a very expensive mistake. I bought into the hype. The orange color is a big hit with the kids but as far as performance goes, it has no pop at all - the ball looks and sounds dead coming off this bat. Bought one for my 12-year old son and his power numbers went way down so he took it out of his bag. I have sons on three different travel teams and every kid I know who bought one is no longer using it. I don't understand the good reviews unless people feel like they have to justify all the money they spent.
Bat Dies quick - no Pop! Kermit parent
Pros: The feel of the bat
Cons: Dies quick! Purchased it for my son last year. Paid $350.00 for it and it lasted a month. All of a sudden the bat died. The ball just doesn't spring off the bat. It sounds dead too!
Takes too long to break in James player
Pros: no vibration what so ever with or without batting gloves, very balanced barrel, i can feel my hands stick to the grip tape, i also like the design on it
Cons: ive had this bat for about three weeks and still does not have as much pop as the XL3, also sounds like there isnt enough composite and too much aluminum alloy in the barrell
awesome awesome player
Pros: awesome
Cons: awesome
Mako Bat 28/19 2 5/8 RICHIE player
Pros: really great bat good pop
Cons: none happy with it
Easton Mako= Best Bat EVER Wilmot07 player
Pros: There is a lot of pop! It doesn't sting at all. I got it for the past season and hit 10 homeruns. The -9 is great for kids who are just getting out of -10 and the -8 is still a litle to heavy for them this bat is perfect.
Cons: The grip isn't very good but I swapped it out with a lizard skins and it feels better but overall AMAZING bat.
