Questions and Answers for 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault Senior League Baseball Bat: SLAS14-RR
I'm looking for a new bat. I'm considering two different Louisville Slugger bats. The first one is the 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault Senior League Baseball Bat: SLAS14-RR, and the second one is Louisville Slugger TPX Attack Senior League Baseball Bat: SL13A. Most of my hits are line drive singles into the outfield. I am not much of a power hitter. I was wondering whether I should get one of these or another bat. Also, are there any durability issues with either of these bats.
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault Senior League Baseball Bat (SLAS14-RR) and the Attack Senior League would both be really good bats. The Assault will be 100% alloy and not require any period of break-in. The Attack will be made of 100% composite materials. It will require a small period of break-in but will hold its performance longer compared to the Assault. Both have very good durability.
how does this bat compare to the 2014 Easton S3.
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault (SLAS14-RR Senior League) is going to be very comparable to the 2014 Easton S3 ( SL14S310 Senior League). They both have a balanced swing weight and are both one piece full alloy bats.
Is this bat comparable to the Triton 2?
The Triton 2 is a one-piece composite bat, where as the 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault (SLAS14-RR) is a one-piece alloy. They are comparable in terms of them both having a stiff feel since they are one-piece bats and each has a balanced swing weight. Since the Louisville Slugger Assault is alloy it will be hot out of the wrapper but the Triton 2 will require a break in because of its composite design.
Which bat is equal to the EXOGRID 2 and 3 for 2014 with a scandium alloy barrel?
The EXOGRID featured a very stiff swing. Due to this, I would recommend the new 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault (SLAS14-RR). The Assault will feature the same alloy barrel as the EXOGRID 3 and a fairly stiff swing.
Is this bat composite?
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault (SLAS14-RR) Senior League is a one-piece alloy design.
How exactly is the Assault different than the Omaha? By the way, the SL116 Omaha had more pop than the SL136. I wonder if the end cap had anything to do with it. Anyway, my son liked the Omaha, but would like to know what is different with the Assualt. Thanks!
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault (SLAS14-RR) and the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha (SL136) use the same quality ST+20 alloy. The only difference is the graphics.
Can this bat be used in 50/70 Intermediate League? (new Fall League for Little League)
