Questions and Answers for 2014 Louisville Slugger M2 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPM214-RR

Is this bat the same as a Catalyst fast pitch bat? My daughter swings a 29" 17 oz. -12 in the Catalyst. She hits awesome with it but i need one with the same specs that has a new USSSA stamp on it.

The 2014 Louisville Slugger M2 Fastpitch (FPM214-RR) is a two-piece composite bat. The Louisville Slugger Catalyst is a one-piece composite bat. The M2 will have more flex, and is designed for a contact hitter.

How does this bat compare to a Easton Synge SRV6B?

The 2014 Louisville Slugger M2 Fastpitch (FPM214-RR) and the Easton Synge (SRV6B) are similar to each other in quality and performance. The one-piece design of the Synge will provide a stiffer feel than the two-piece design of the M2.

My daughter is going to be 9 in a few months, 4'8, 75 lbs. I am thinking about this bat for her but was unsure on the size to get? Also, with the -12, is that a good option for her? Thanks!

The 2014 Louisville Slugger M2 Fastpitch (FPM214-RR) is a very lightweight, balanced bat. It is a great option for a younger player. Based on her height and weight we recommend a 30" 18 oz. bat.

My daughter is 11, 4'5" and 74 lbs. This is her 4th year playing. Her current bat is a Mizuno Finch 29" 17.5 oz. Has good contact and a good bunter. Looking at 30" 18 oz. bats. Any recommendations?

The 2014 Louisville Slugger M2 Fastpitch (FPM214-RR) is a great choice for her age.and size. It is a very balanced two-piece composite bat.

My sister is about 4ft 3inches and needs a new bat. Do you thing that the 2014 M2 pride or 2013 Easton FS 2 is a better bat?

Both the 2014 Louisville Slugger M2 Fastpitch bat and the Easton FS2 are good bats. The Louisville Slugger will have more flex as it is a two-piece bat which helps cut down on vibration, whereas the Easton FS2 is a one-piece bat.

My daughter is 10U. She is small but a contact hitter. Would the M2 or the CF6 be a better bat for her?

The 2014 Louisville Slugger M2 Fastpitch: FPM214-RR and the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch are designed for a contact hitter. The Louisville Slugger M2 is a lighter bat, best for a smaller player.

Do u think the 2014 is better than the 2013? If so, why? Would you say this is a top of the line bat or would you spend a little more? My daughter only swings around a 29/17.

The 2014 Louisville Slugger M2 Fastpitch: FPM214-RR is going to have a new composite that is supposed to be durable than the 2013 model. This bat would be a good choice. Some of our other popular models are the Louisville Slugger Xeno and the DeMarini CF6.
