Description

The next generation of wood bat technology has arrived and MacDougall wood bats have solidified a top spot. They apply their ingenious PowerWood technology into every bat they make to ensure premium performance and unmatched durability. But what really goes into the PowerWood technology? High-tolerance joinery, Babe Ruth's hickory fused with Harmon Killebrew's tanoak, plus a special laminating process, to name a few. All of these high-quality woods combine to create a baseball bat that will never shatter or splinter - something other all wood bats can't say. No foreign materials like plastic, foam, metal, or fiberglass are used throughout the manufacturing process either. Each one of these MacDougall wood bats lasts up to ten (10) times longer than traditional wood baseball bats. MacDougall also stays true to the baseball tradition as all of their models are handcrafted with pride in the U.S.A!

This MacDougall and Sons PowerWood M-14 Wood Baseball Bat (M14CB) features an approximate -2 length to weight ratio, a five (5) month warranty against breakage, and the BBCOR certification for high school, college, and Perfect Game approval. Wood bat in a metal bat league J player

Pros: Love it, bat swings smooth and easy and really feels like it's got more pop than a BBCOR metal. Don't be scared by the smaller barrel, put a good swing on it and it jumps.

Cons: Obviously pricey, but quality shows through. Total up all the wood bats that break and it's not that bad.

Best Wood Bat Ever! JD Flanagan player

Pros: I led my team in hits this year and was top five in my league. Got a few hits that would have broken any other wooden bat. This is my favorite bat of all time.

Cons: None. Pony up the little extra cash and save money in the long run.

Mississauga Tigers MEL 2000 Premier League J J M G coach

Pros: By far the best balanced bat in the industry. The B52 is a serious weapon. An average hitter shines with this bat. Beyond Baum by a mile. Bought my first one in the US last year.

Cons: Canadians dont know MacDougall bats exist. You guys really have to get your marketing game in line and get your stellar product out here in Canada.

Great Bat Mike parent

Pros: Lots of pop unreal durability. My sons high school summer ball team kids would break their bat then start using my sons bat seems like half the team was using by middle of season. That bat saw a lot of trips to the plate and it’s still going

Cons: Every one wants to use it, Can’t break this thing

About the Brand

John MacDougall knew he could build a better wood bat. As a lifelong baseball addict, coach, and father of two baseball players, he was no stranger to broken bats. He's seen maple and ash bats shatter, splinter, crack, split, and explode. At $90 per bat, that hurts and it's not how John MacDougall believed it had to be. He could have switched to composite wood bats, but being a traditionalist at heart, that just didn't sit right with him. He had a better idea.

John started to build the perfect real wood bat from scratch, testing various woods until he figured out that a fusion of True Hickory and Oregon Tanoak utilized the greatest characteristics of each wood where they were needed most. He then pefected a patented laminating design and machining process to create a bat that's a stronger, harder, and more durable than any all-wood bat out there. The side effect? Better performance.

MacDougall and Sons bats are also green. All of the wood scrap and sawdust is recycled into the community - kindling, meat smoking, animal bedding, mulch, etc.
